My Favorite Holiday Meal

Today I'm talking about Favorite Holiday Meals.  When I think of the holidays the first thing I think about is family. Every family function, it's always family that is more important. Now that my brother is married and doing only half of the holidays with us, it's more important than ever.

My all time favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving. I love that there isn't anything attached to it other than being thankful for what we have.

The best part of any meal is the people you share it with right? So that is definitely my number 1.

The last Thanksgiving my Grandma was here. We knew it was getting close to the end, so everyone in the whole family got together. It was great that everyone was together, chaotic yes, but awesome.

I love stuffing, especially this one

The picture makes this looked burned, but it's not, it's delicious!

Green beans and bacon, it sounds weird, but it's so good!

Christmas cookies. My grandma used to make these when I was a kid, every family got a huge box of them, and they lasted about a week. When we got old enough we would go to her house and help her make the cookies. it was the best going to grandma and grandpa's. We got to pretty much do anything we wanted, it was great. I used to make cookies for everyone...which resulted in making over 1500 cookies (granted they are small, but still)

Now I just make cookies for whoever comes to Christmas. Each person got a box of cookies last year.

My favorite meal, Thanksgiving. Yum! In case you were wondering, I don't like white meat, I find that it's too dry.

Now go check out some other bloggers and see what they're favorite holiday meals are.

  1. Yum, everything looks so good. That's a lot of cookies! I agree, family is the most important thing. One of the pictures on my blog has my grandma in it, and it was her last Christmas, although we didn't know it at the time.

  2. I've never been a big Thanksgiving person, but my husband is. He loves food and also comes from a close-knit family. All your food looks great! Looks like a nice holiday!

  4. I'm always a little bit obsessed with taking a picture of my plate at Thanksgiving, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. And actually I've been happy I've had it because now I can look back and see exactly what my mom used to serve each year since she's no longer alive and able to host the holidays.
