Week 2 of the Winter Style Me Challenge

Back for week 2 of the Style Me Challenge: Winter Edition.  Here are my Spring Style ChallengeSummer Style Challenge and the Fall Style Challenge if you want to see what else I've done. Here are last week's outfits.

Shopping my closet, I think I did pretty good this week, only a few substitutes. Here we go, be prepared for a lot of pictures.

Day 3

This day called for a poncho, but I don't own one, so I figured my bobeau wrap would have to do.

skinny jeans (Loft), Bobeau Wrap - Norstroms, Long Sleeve Tee - Target, Booties - DSW (old). Scarf - Target

and you knew there was one of these in there...

Day 4

When I came down with this outfit, Mr. said okay Mr. Lumberjack let's get this started. He might have a point, but I still love it, and it's so comfy. Comfy will win out every time.

Day 5

This outfit suggested a Fair Isle sweater, but a patterned sweater will have to do. I'm not sure if I am going to get a Fair Isle sweater, the one that I found that I really liked was $200, of course!

Day 6

This outfit called for a dressy sweater, I don't have one with jewels, but this one has sparkly thread it in, so that's close right? You can't really tell, and I should have take a picture of the diamond cut out in the back...This outfit called for grey jeans, but I thought that my grey slacks went a little better with this outfit.

Yep I'm hiding the remote clicker behind my neck in this one...haha

This necklace was made by a local teen who battle self injury for 13 years, and found an outlet through making wire jewelry and Wired for Freedom was born. She was at a fundraiser for another teen who is battling cancer, so I bought a few necklaces to help the cause. But I love it. She has no idea who I am, but I think she should be recognized for being strong and for finding something that makes her happy and helps to get her story out to let others know that they are not alone.

Day 7

Day 7 was one of our 4 dressy outfits. It called for a cable sweater...funny that I had a ton of cable sweaters back in high school, I got made fun of for wearing so many of them, I got rid of most of them at some point in college, and here they are making a come back after spending 10+ years of avoiding them. Everything comes back around I tell ya. I subbed the cable sweater for blazer since I didn't have anything else.

and I actually did my hair in a side bun...

side note: That necklace and earrings were from my prom outfit

Day 8

This outfit called for a fur scarf, but the fur scarf I bought I felt didn't really look good, so subbed it out for this crochet scarf. I love vests and I wear it at least once a week. Maybe I should get another color then I could wear them two days a week...

In case you wanted to know the eyelashes I'm wearing are Ardell Demi Wispies

Day 9

This is close to day 6, but it's jeans and boots and minimal jewelry, I love it, looks really put together, but is super comfy.

Now go check out some of my other Style Challengers and see their take on the same outfits.

Winter Style Challenge

We're back for another Style Me Challenge! I love seeing how everyone style's their outfits just a little differently to make them unique. If you don't know what a Style Challenge is, click here for the explanation. This is my 4th challenge and I can't wait to get started! Spring Style Challenge, Summer Style Challenge and the Fall Style Challenge. Since this is my forth challenge and I have spent a lot on clothes this year, I've decided to try and shop my closet for this challenge, maybe buying 1 or 2 pieces. So far the only thing I've bought is that fur scarf that you see me wearing down there. I'm undecided on some other things, so I'm waiting to see how other ladies style things, and I'll decided if I want to get one myself.

Since it's Christmas time, and it gets dark early out, all of my pictures are going to be in front of my Christmas tree, I hope that's okay.

 Day 1

We were supposed to have a cable knit sweater, but I don't currently have one, and since I'm trying to shop my closet, I decided to go with this coral/pink polka dot sweater.  I love polka dot anything, and this was so comfy. The fur scarf was such a deal too, for only $12.90! I wish they hadn't sold out. Sorry girls!

Polka Dot Sweater - Ann Taylor Loft (old), Skinny Jeans - Nordstrom, Riding Boots - Macy's, Scarf - Nordstrom (sold out)

Mr. making me laugh, he was telling me that I was giving him nothing to work with...haha.

Day 2

When I saw what today's outfit was supposed to be I wasn't so sure. But I put it on anyway. I was pleasantly surprised, I loved it! Super simple, and really put together. What do you think?

Tunic - Nordstroms (sold out), Leggings - Norstroms, Boots - Macy's, Vest - Old Navy (sold out)

I took off the vest and added a fancy necklace and bracelet, both from Ann Taylor Loft from 4 years ago. I might actually wear this to the Christmas Party I'm going to on Saturday.

Please excuse the awful nail polish job! Clearly I have to change it out, don't worry I took it off last night, of course after taking this picture! Oops.

Now go check out some of the other ladies doing the challenge with me. I can't believe this is the 4th time I've been doing this with them. I love all of them, and can't wait to see their outfits! Didn't Deena do a great job with the graphic?

Fall Style Me Challenge - Week 4

Last week of the challenge, I can't believe how fast it went by. Too fast! Here are the past weeks if want to take a look, Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3.  Although our weather didn't quite cooperate as much as I would have liked, I can definitely carry a lot of these outfits into our winter.

So here are the last 5 outfits.

Day 17

This outfit called for a leopard scarf, but I wore that on Tuesday, so I decided to go with a floral one instead.

Long Sleeve T-Shirt - Target, Jeans - Loft, Cardigan - Loft, Flats - Payless, Scarf - Norstroms (old)

Day 18

I didn't think I would like this combo, but it was super comfortable. I thought that it needed something else, and I'm obsessed with scarves, so why not add a scarf? I thought it really completed the whole outfit.

Long sleeve T-shirt - Target, Boyfriend Jeans - Old Navy (old), Vest - Old Navy, Wedges - Target, Scarf - Nordstroms (old)

Day 19

I admit when Alison suggested this outfit I was a bit skeptical, but I put it on anyway. I wasn't quite sure, but looking at the pictures I think it works. I thought it made me look boxy, but not so much? How do you wear button down shirts with sweaters over them?

Plaid Shirt - Wet Seal, Jeans - Loft, Sweater - Target, Leopard Flats - DSW

Day 20

These are my new boots, I sort of love them. After seeing so many people wearing cognac boots, I had to have a pair too.

Fancy Sweatshirt - Loft, Skinny Jeans - Loft, Boots - Macys

Day 21

I felt like this outfit was very similar to day 17, same shirts, different pants, so I went with a different sweater instead. I think it's unexpected, and I sort of like that. I absolutely love this sweater.

Now that this challenge is over, I'm looking forward to the Winter Challenge, even though I'm fairly certain non of it will apply to where I live, but at least when I go somewhere cold maybe once a year, I'll have a lot of cute outfits to go with me. I'm going to actually try to shop my closet for the Winter Challenge...yea right, but a girl can try!
