An Outfit + An Obsession

Happy Hump Day! Okay that might be a little enthusiastic. But in any case, half way to Friday! And what's a Wednesday without an outfit post? I totally forgot that I could twin Deena with this shirt, until I found it in a bag that I guess I hadn't unpacked everything. Oops! I was totally excited when I found it because I remembered how much I loved it. Super light weight and easy to wear in the hot months coming.

Instead of doing a half tuck like I normally do, I decided to go with a tie, loved it.

I didn't really go into much detail yesterday, but thought I would share my dirty little secret, okay not really. My name is Sarah and I'm a scrapbooker. I started it back before it was even the "it" thing to do, Christmas 1996 my Mom thought it would be a cool thing to do together, we took a class and I ran with it.

That first green binder (this was back when the scrapbook pages only came in 8.5" x 11") was the book my mom bought me. It was a three ring binder with the cover pages. In order it goes:

Green = Highschool
Light Blue = Freshman/Sophomore years of College
Burgundy =  Sophomore/Junior Years of College
Dark Blue = Junior/Senior Years of College
White = After College

But wait there is more:

Another whole cabinet worth.

Okay not all of them are scrapbooks, just the very bottom shelf. The two boxes on the bottom shelf are our wedding pictures, that didn't make the album (see below). Yep we got married before the digital age, rather the digital cameras were just becoming popular, I have 36 rolls of film of our wedding.

The middle shelf has the pictures in just a regular photo albums of the photos that didn't make it into the scrapbook.

Top shelf has some more pictures that I've printed and done nothing with, and photobooks that I've made online. I have an addiction I tell ya. One day I'll do a review on which photobooks services I like the most, I'm tried probably half a dozen or so...

The two black books on the left are the pictures our photographer printed and put in albums for us. The rest of those are Shutterfly 8x8 books of random things we've done.

The photo books stand up on the left are of our vacations together. I knew I wasn't going to be able to scrapbook our vacations, so I bought picture photobooks with the little ledger on the side of each picture, so I could jot down what the picture was. The the books on the right are ones I made online. That green journal looking thing...now I'm owning my crazy, like Erika says. That journal holds every single feed/poop/pee/sleep that both kids did for the first 6 months of life...at least. It was actually helpful when we had Mini Fox to see what Baby Fox did at that same age.

And there you have it, all of my photos that I've printed so far. Maybe next time I'll show you all of my scrapbooking supplies, I could give Michael's a run for their money. Not even joking.

My Summer Uniform

Happy Hump Day, although I only have one more day and then it's the weekend for me! Gotta love getting every other Friday off. Living in Southern California typically our hottest months are in August/September and most of October (somehow every year on Halloween the seasons finally change and it's actually cold). My outfits most days consist of shorts and tank tops or tees. I'm loving this tee right now, it's loose and so comfy, everyone should have one, seriously. It's on sale, and in colors I don't have, too bad I put a self imposed ban on clothes shopping this month, darn it!

I love the pop of color in the earrings and the bracelets, it makes it easy to wear chasing kids around, but still put together.

I've been trying to do my hair more lately, I was thinking of doing a hair challenge in September. A different hair style everyday for a week? What do you think? Anyone else want to join me?

In case you were wondering those are most definitely not my eyelashes, those are the Ardell 120 Demi Wispies. My favorite eyelashes ever.

The lipstick I added two colors together, sorry can't remember which ones.

I think the hair challenge is going to be fun...I hope! I'm taking a week off in September, just hang out with the kids, was thinking I would do it that week will have more time on my hands...hopefully. Who's with me?!

And onto some randoms:

Mr finally got his new phone, which means I got a "new" phone, woo hoo! It works so much faster than my old phone and it takes way better pictures! I've already dropped the phone sevearal times, that thing is small and slippery. I've ordered a new case with the kids picture on it from Picaboo (not affiliated link, I just really like the product), have you used them before? They're pretty awesome and they always have a sale going on. I got a tough iPhone case with the kids picture on it for $20 plus S&H. Pretty good right?

This is Baby Fox's favorite part of swim lessons, getting to jump in.

The face of a kid who does not want his picture taken...at all.

And last random for today, for some reason I got on an Acapella kick last week and I'm still on it. This video is pretty awesome, and this guy has amazing talent. Go to 1:25 and see how he breaks down the different sounds, mind still blown on this one.  Then at 3:17 he literally shows you all the layers that went into making it. He does this with a lot of his videos. Anyone else with me on this? Just me?....anyone?

Hope you're having a great Wednesday.

My Love For Graphic Tees

The last week with the Style Bloggers for the Summer Challenge, feel free to link up any outfit of choice, we'd love to get some more ideas!

Day 17

I'm pretty much in love with this graphic tee. It's from Target and it's only $12.99, win win.

I also love these cute fox earrings, I also have a matching ring, which you'll see later this post.

Day 18

Simple dress, simple necklace, super easy to throw on and look like you're totally put together.

This girl wanted in on the pictures too.

Day 19

Here's my favorite black shirt again. Many of you guys have been asking where I got it, it's from Nordstroms and it's on sale right now for $20, got get one stat.

Day 20

I love white on white, but my white shorts and the white tank that I own don't look good together. So I skipped this outfit. But here's another white on white that I've done. Bad picture, but what can ya do?

Day 21

The last outfit of the challenge was super easy, yet makes you look totally put together. Simple dress, statement earrings. I think I need to get a few more statement earrings to add to my growing collection (meaning the three pairs that I own). You know I think adding my new jean vest would look really good with this too.

Had to do the silly ring picture for ya all. I should have turned the ring around, see how they match the earrings from above? Pretty much anything that has a fox on it, I buy it. Mini and Baby Fox have a ridiculous amount of Fox clothing.

Something I will never be... a hand model...man my hand are ugly, and are in desperate need of nail polish. When do you guys find the time to paint your nails and let them dry before something or someone needs you?

Things I learned from this challenge:

Even though this is my 6 challenge I'm still learning new styles that I thought I wouldn't like...for example the jean vest...my favorite now! I want to pair it with everything. I got the vest late in the game, but I'm sure you'll be seeing this on repeat.

And the graphic tee. These are the looks I put together for this challenge but don't think that I haven't already gone out and bought a couple more graphic tees.

Now go check out my other bloggy besties to see what they thought of the Summer Challenge.

7 Outfits and a Giveaway

Another week with the Style Bloggers today for another link up for the Summer Challenge, feel free to link up any outfit of choice, we'd love to get some more ideas! Let's just get right to it, since we have 7 outfits to get through.

Day 3

This is the white dress that I wore for Mini Fox's first birthday party. I thought it was the perfect white dress. I have a vest on order...hopefully coming this week! I subbed in my jean jacket with cuffs rolled.

It says to add a headband, but I just can't do headbands, I think I have a weird shaped head, because headbands ALWAYS slip off the backside of my head, any tips on helping me?

Day 4

Now thatt I'm looking at this picture, I'm not so sure about these shorts...they're super comfy, I'm actually wearing them as I type this post out. But I do love the kimono that I bought off of Jane.com. Have you guys ever shopped there before? It's pretty awesome.

I sorta love how the wind is blowing through my hair, like I'm some model or something.

Day 5

I totally didn't follow this outfit at all, the only thing I sort of had was the colored shorts, it specified bright shorts and these aren't bright (in my opinion), and the top was supposed to be white...so missed that, but I don't have a white flowy top, and I really like this top and these shorts together, so there ya go.

Day 6

This day called for a chambray shirt, I've been looking for a sleeveless chambray that I like, but haven't found one yet, so I opted to roll the sleeves. I actually really like this outfit, that surprised me. I'm not sure why, because I like white and I like chambray, why not put it together!

Day 7

I did a similar outfit with this, but instead of doing the jean jacket I added a tied chambray and it totally changed the look, crazy how one piece of clothing can do that.

Day 8

Again, didn't follow this outfit day either. It said patterned palazzo pants, which I don't have, and a flowy top, which the only solid color flowy tank I have is that black one from the first week.  So I figured I would chose another flowy tank with a patterned...wait for it...back side! And some solid shorts...sort of mixed it up a bit.

I just love that you don't expect the back to be floral.

Woah...see that grey hair there? Yeah that's not the sun, that's a really grey hair. (look on the left side of my head)

Day 9

I busted out my Captain America T-shirt, when Baby Fox saw this he nearly jumped out of his skin with excitement. He said, I want to wear mine too! I love how casual this outfit is, so comfy but really put together.

And for you Deena...:)  Princess crown and Captain America...haha! I can't believe I just did that.

That's all I got for this week, don't forget the giveaway, you only have 1 more day before it's over, so hope on over, get to know some great gals, and win $200 while you're at it, win-win!
