Currently + Favorite Sandals

Linking up with Anne and Carrie for Currently. This months topics  are celebrating, creating, wearing, sharing and going.

Celebrating:

Well last month we celebrated 13 years of marriage, and this month we are celebrating Mother's Day. Each year I'm thankful for my children and what awesome little humans they are.

Creating:

The kids want to create a YouTube Channel, so I'm busy doing that. Filming enough stuff, before we upload our first video, so we can keep content coming at least once a week. They want their first video to be a cook with me video, so I'm busy editing that.

Wearing:

The Blended Blog prompt for today is summer sandals.

 1 / 2 / 3  / 4 / 5 / 6

Okay so the sneaker is not a sandal, but they were so stinkin' cute I think everyone needs a pair!

I have those exact flip flops and they are so comfortable and the rhinestones on the top just make them fancy flip flops. I like wearing them at weddings after my feet have decided they no longer want anything to do with heels. They feel fancier than wearing regular flip flops. And did I mention how comfortable they are? So much so I'm on my second pair.

The ruffle wedge comes in 4 colors too, I want one in each color, they are just so darn cute.

The metallic sandal is a great way to be able to slightly dress up any dress, or wear with some shorts for a more put together look, and it comes in 5 different colors.

I think I could do a whole post on cute white sandals, but I'll refrain and only show you these, cause those flowers, adorableness on your feet. If white isn't your thing? Don't worry they come in 3 other colors.

Did you know Aerosoles, made cute wedges? If comfort and stylish is your thing, I'm fairly certain you NEED these wedges.

Sharing:

Thank You Wikibuy for the free product. As always all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Have you heard of Wikibuy? They recently reached out to me recently wanting me to check out their service. Funny they reached out when they did because I was going to buy a bunch of stuff from Tarte anyway, and of course Tarte is on their list, so it found the coupon code to save 25%.

Prior to using Wikibuy, I was using a different service sort of similar, but it NEVER worked! It NEVER found any good deals. The great thing about Wikibuy is that it not only searches for coupon codes to use but also searches for the best price, so you know you're getting the best price.

So let's say you are on Gap.com and you find something. This is what comes up.

Then you click on the try codes and it automatically tries it for you!

Finds the best code to use and codes that no longer work.

This time it saved me $36.78, pretty good, for doing no work at all!

On amazon, it also looks for the best deals, to make sure you got the cheapest price.

It let's you know if you can save money.

In this case Wikibuy is actually selling this product that I can get cheaper.

In this case, I had bought something through wikibuy and had some credit with them, when you buy from their website, you get wiki credit that you can use on future purchases or items from their redeem Wiki Credit.

So because I shopped through them, I saved $7 on a future purchase, pretty awesome for shopping online, which I do on the daily. I would definitely use them! And if you're not comfortable buying things through their website, at least use it for the discount codes and finding cheaper prices.

Going:

Making summer plans. So excited for all that we have planned, and I'm sure we're not completely done yet. So far we are headed up to San Jose area to visit a good friend and her family. This is the same family we went to San Luis Obispo last summer with. It will be good to see them, they've been through so much the last few month, it will be good to hug them.

Then we just booked The Great Wolf Lodge for a night stay. Sort of excited to see what all the talk is about, and now that the kids are bigger and can hopefully go down a lot of the slides, I think it will be a good way to kick off the summer.

Then we are headed to Yosemite to round out the summer, I still can't believe we got a camp site! Those things are like gold man. But excited to do some exploring, camping, hiking and enjoying our friends before school starts.

Who knows what else we'll do, but for now I'm looking forward to all things summer. Oh and how could I forget to mention the beach, lots of beach trips!

Big Bear Adventure

Thank You Mazda for loaning us the SUV for the week! As always all opinions and thoughts are my own.

Hi Foxy Friends! Back during Spring break we went to Big Bear with friends and I'm finally doing a recap on it! I have to say that we wanted to go with the friends we have Friday night dinners with and we thought, there is now way that all of our Spring breaks align. We have three different school districts we have to take into account, and what would you know...they all aligned! Woo hoo! We have another friend that owns a cabin and we asked if we could use it during Spring break and they said yes! All the stars are aligning. It was great, we all left our computers at home and just hung out.

Since we had our vacation booked, I reached out to Mazda to see if they would loan us a car, and guess what? They did! It arrived the day before we left, they ended up sending us a Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring. The kids were so stinkin excited to be getting a bigger car.

They couldn't wait to test out all of the bells and whistles.

The next day, it was so nice to just pack up the car and not have to worry about space! Space is always our enemy, usually the there is stuff everywhere, the kids have things below their feet, it's like a huge game of tetris...not this time! We even could pack extra stuff. (This was a picture taken on the way home), clearly we just threw stuff in you know when you're packing to leave somewhere at the end of the trip, is not nearly as organized when you leave for said trip).

Usually when we leave for a trip, we almost always take a family selfie...well this car is so big, I couldn't get everyone in the shot...haha.

We first headed to our favorite Mexican place up the mountain, it's only a slight detour...

We actually ended up at the cabin at the same exact time as our friends, so it worked out. First thing we did was unpack and let the kids run around, while the moms went grocery shopping for the weekend. The first night I made pot roast in the Instant Pot and mashed potatoes, it was so good! Yep vacation means paper plates because no one wants to do more dishes on vacation than need be.

The next morning we were pretty lazy getting started the kids just wanted to play so we laid around and watched TV and let the kids play.

Finally after breakfast we decided to do something fun and went on a small hike. We went on this one, which I highly recommend, all 4 kids (ages 4-7.5 did great and walked the whole thing).

Men folk taking the kids up the rocks, while the woman folk have heart attacks watching.

Mini Fox found this rock and immediately wanted to take a picture doing the little mermaid pose...LOL!

Yes Mini Fox wears dresses to hike...this is not the first time either...check out what she wore on our hike last year. When we got home we let the kids play in the backyard while we relaxed and made dinner. The girls were out there for 2 hours playing, and making pretend fires. It was super cute. Give kids some nature and they can pretend play for hours, it was awesome.

Dinner, bath time and a little tv watching to end the day.

The next day we went to the Big Bear Zoo, all of the animals have been rescued, and while it's a small zoo, it was pretty awesome and the kids loved it.

He was not amused.

Our one and only group shot I could get everyone to do.

More playing in the backyard.

and then suddenly it was time to go home...

The Mazda had a third row seat which we really appreciated, the only thing we didn't like that you could only fit 2 people back there, instead of three.

Fit two car seats great, plus I could fit in between them with no problems.

There was heated steering wheels and seats, plus the kids had heated seats...you know if they were't sitting in car seats, that would have been awesome.

And all of the controls were right near the gear shift, so you never had to lean forward to touch controls, which was a really nice feature. Towards the end of my week it was getting easier to do it without looking much.

All in all, it was a great car, was a MUCH smoother ride than both Mr. and I anticipated. When at a stop light the idle was super quiet, and it drove really nice. Honestly, before driving this, we never would have considered it, but now...it's on the list of potentials when we do finally get an SUV.

Oh and because this is just too cute not to share. When I saw the kids were excited, that is an understatement. They did this all on their own, I wasn't even there, and Mr. recorded it for me.
