Trying on 15 LipSense Colors

Hi all! I decided to get crazy a few months ago and wear every single color of Lipsense. I know crazy, I even got a few while I was putting this together and added those in too! I might have a slight addiction. Similar to the time when I tried on a bunch of Kylie Lip Kits and tried on all of those colors too, what can I say, I find something I like and I run with it. Alright here is the video I put together:

I am wearing three layers of each color, combined with Glossy Gloss. The colors I am wearing are:

Caramel Apple

Napa

Lexie Bear-Y

Aussie Rose

Apple Cider

Bella

Roseberry

Sheer Berry

Mulled Wine

Glam Doll

Purple Reign

Dark Pink

Fly Girl

Blu-Red

B. Ruby

So there you have it 15 colors of Lipsense. So do you own any? What do you think? I'm obsessed and my other lipsticks are sort of getting jealous.

If you want to try them out, contact my Canadian friend, Shaunacey and if you are from the US contact my friend Becky.

Striped Cold Should Sweater

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today I'm finally sharing how I styled my cold shoulder sweater I got when I went up to Seattle. I love this sweater so much, the stripes, the white and blue...swoon. It's so comfy and I want to wear it all the time. Unfortunately it's been rainy here and I haven't been wearing it on the weekends and I don't think it's work appropriate...thoughts on that? We're pretty casual, but not sure how work would take a cold shoulder ya know?

Sweater (similar) / Jeans (similar here and here)  / Shoes (Similar)

This picture, I always try to take one like this because Alison always looks fantastic when she does it...I have not yet master the Alison. I need lessons.

I'm fairly certain the lipsense color I have on is called Aussie Rose. Speaking of Lipsense, do you know I own about 18 of these things? Yep that's right, 18, plus 3 different glosses. That being said, I put together a video of 15 of the colors, and I'm sharing it tomorrow, so come back! It's going to be insane!

3 Tips How To Throw A Surprise Party

Hi Foxy Friends! Over the weekend we actually pulled it off and threw a surprise party for my aunt who was turning who was turning 60! I can't believe we did it, seriously, she has her house on serious lock down! Has the Ring doorbell and everything, so there was no way she was leaving the house for any amount of time for us to get the house ready. So without anyone to host the party nearby...we did the next best thing...snuck in and decorated her whole house WHILE she was getting ready. That's right folks, we snuck into her house while she was getting ready to go out (what she thought was to a neighbors house for dinner) and we decorated.

So we did have one advantage, the way her house is laid out, her house is in the back bedroom in the way back of the house, and she usually keeps the TV on really loud so she can listen to the news while she is getting ready. So we had that going for us. As soon as she went back to take a shower my uncle texted us and we were there within seconds, unloading our car. The main decoration was all of these flowers. Since we knew we only had about 30 minutes to get everything set up.

So all that being said here are some tips on how to throw a surprise party.

| TIP 1 |

Don't stress too much about the surprise part. It's nice if it happens the way everyone envisions, with the guest of honor walking in on a dozen family and friends yelling surprise! But you know what? Even if there is just the people setting up yelling surprise it's still a surprise to the person coming.

Like I said, my aunt has her house on lock down, so we snuck in and decorated while she was getting ready. We got all of the flowers out, and the food even came 30 minutes early, and we had all the food out too, so it was even more of a surprise to have a huge buffet full of food set up.

I ended up making a pallet sign for her, and decided Saturday morning to have everyone sign the back. It ended up super cute.

| TIP 2 |

If your guest of honor is home when you are there, less is more. We went big with the flowers, but if you have more time, these 5 steps on how to throw the best party are helpful. I would have loved to go big with a ton of decorations but I knew our limitations and was aware of it.

| TIP 3 |

Enjoy the process, go with the flow, in the end you're doing something super nice for the person you love and no matter if they find out, like my sister did when I tried to throw her a 40th surprise party and she was going to back out of going to the "dinner" I had planned, and ended up telling her. It was still a surprise at the moment and she was thankful in the end I made her go.

Now go out and plan the perfect surprise party! It will be worth it!

$10 Target Haul March Edition

Hi Foxy Friends! I know two posts in one day, crazy pants right?! But I really wanted to do both of these posts with some fun blogging ladies, so here I am another post down for the week. For this months post, I actually got to go to Target alone...so...truth be told, I told Mr. I was going to the grocery store and then "accidentally" stopped at Target on my way, haha! Anyway, mostly it was all the stuff there was Easter related, so I got some Easter stuff. In hopes that I would decorate for Easter...maybe? I've been super lazy decorating for the seasons this year, not sure, just don't have the motivation?

Here is what I found:

I thought I would use the bunny as the center of my door Wreath.

The kids love the window cling ons...so had to get some of those.

I loath dying eggs, I have no idea why. But I just don't like it, we've never done it with the kids. I found those eggs that are fake and they can color on them and they are already decorated..done. They were excited when they saw them, so mission accomplished, on me more year of no egg dying is good for me.

I actually realize while I'm writing this I also bought some hair things for Bella but she tore into them as soon as she saw them. Oops.

How did I do spending wise?

Easter Eggs: $3
Bunny Sign: $3
Window Stickers: $1
Hair Clips: $1

Total: $8.60

Darn I could have spent another dollar, hehe.  So what did you buy? Anything good?

My 5 Favorite Hair Products

Happy Monday Foxy Friends! Today you're getting two posts from me. I know, crazy right? But I really like both of the posts, so I couldn't say no. I'm linking up with the Blended Blog for March Beauty Monday's and this week is all about hair. It's been a hot second since I've updated my favorite hair products, back in 2015 and then again in 2017. Then there was that year I decided I wanted to try and figure out how to do my hair, so I did my hair in all sorts of braids and was learning what products to use. These were my favorites back in mid 2016.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

After my hair challenge I wrote a post on 5 things I learned in my hair challenge.

Okay onto my favorite hair products...Some are the same as before some have changed.

| ONE |

The key extending your time between washing is find the perfect balance between your shampoo, conditioner and dry shampoo. There are some shampoos I cannot use because no matter how hard I try the dry shampoo does not work. Then there are others that I use that I could keep using dry shampoo forever. This is one of the good ones. And I have recently been using this one, it's a close second.

| TWO |

I have always said how much I like this dry shampoo, nothing has changed. I have tried 5-6 different dry shampoos and nothing beats this.

| THREE |

New to the list this year, is what I use to blow dry my hair. I spray this in my roots, and this on my hair ends and blow dry. I think it helps to extend the life of my time between washes too, and it makes my hair super soft and silky after washing it.

 | FOUR |

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this before. But I love using my Paul Mitchell hair protection when I am going to curl my hair. I really believe that it helps my curls stay longer.

 | FIVE |

I love my curling wand. I was using a regular curling iron and nothing made my curls last, but after using this, I can go between washes and  have the curls last up to 5 days!

Day 1 of the curls

Day 3 of the curls

| Bonus |

You need really good bobby pins if you want to do your hair. The ones at the grocery store has nothing on the really good sturdy ones. Once you buy these, you'll wonder why you ever did anything else.

Those are my current favorite hair products. Anything that I need to try? I love finding new products! Anyone have a good deep conditioning product they love? Head on over to The Blended Blog to link up your posts!

Alright, let's get to it.

In other favorites, I am participating in a Favoites collab over on my YouTube Channel. I have 5 super random things that I have been loving lately.

Takstar Microphone
Ped socks
Portable Car Jumper
Cordless Vacuum/Dust Buster
Dry Shampoo

I found this dress for Mini Fox and she has nothing to wear it to, but I'm in love and had to get it for her. I was waiting and it went out of stock, and I was super disapointed, so I knew if it came back I HAD to get it for her...soon, is it okay that I want one for myself too? They also have a version of it on Amazon.

They also have a plaid version on Amazon, how stinkin' cute is this?

This is strange and super fascinating at the same time...like what made them try this in the first place?

haha, this is me...with toast...

Yep need to make these STAT...Mr. did say he wanted Cheese cake for his birthday...this would just be a slight variation of that...

Happy Birthday Mr.

Happy Birthday Mr.! Today is Mr.'s 41st birthday....I feel like it was just yesterday that we were celebrating 40. Although today is just a normal day of work, and baseball  practice, I wouldn't want to do life with anyone else. Okay enough about the mushy stuff. Last time I shared things I love about Mr. this time I thought I would share some random facts about him.

  • He is a huge tea drinker and drinks at least a cup a day. But also really likes coffee and we just recently got a coffee machine, because he thought his addiction would be too great if he could make his own coffee at will. It didn't and he's pretty good to making one cup in the morning and then drinking tea for the rest of the afternoon.
  • Speaking of tea and coffee, he has a whole coffee/tea station in our kitchen.

  • He can only drink tea from a ceramic cup (minus paper ones), but will not drink it from a plastic or steel cup as he thinks he can taste the plastic/tin in his tea. His tea cups are ginormous!

  • Makes a point to drive his "fun" car to work once a week and drive with the top down. I call it the yellow car...well because it's yellow, but it's a 1998 Mercedes...something or other.

Man that took longer than expect to find a picture of the yellow car.
  • His next fun car he wants a Porsche of some sort. (mine is going to be a Maserati)
  • Has lived on his own since he was 18.
  • Bought his first condo (the one I moved into when we got married), when he was 22.
  •  Plays several instruments and went to a performing arts school for high school.
  •  Was in the California All State Band and was first chair (for those that know music that's a big deal)
  • Self taught guitar and piano
  • Writes songs in his spare time (like he has spare time!)
  • Got his MBA last year and is now working on a second masters.
  • Really wants a 100 inch TV
  • He really likes being organized, see his tea cabinet above. Our garage cabinets looks similar
I think that's enough random stuff for Mr....hopefully he's not too embarrassed by it all.

Happy Birthday Mr.! Here is to many more years of birthday celebrations. Sorry I didn't have time to make cheesecake like you requested, but I will make one in the near future for you!
