February in Numbers

Hello Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with Deena for her Month in Numbers. Let's get started:

12 - How many days away from my kids...that's almost half of the month people...waaahh!! The most I've gone without seeing them is 2...at least it wasn't consecutive days...

8-  How many days Mini Fox has gone to preschool. She is doing so good.

3 - The number of nights away Mr. and I got away for a snowboarding trip.

5 - The number of years since it's been since Mr. and I snowboarded. It was an awesome trip!

28 - The number of days this girl was sassy.

8800 - The number of miles flown this month...I hope that I don't have to fly for a while after this.

3 - The number of dinners I got to eat with these folks...I love that work takes me near them.

1 - We went to Mini Fox's 1st movie, she did great and I can see many more movies in this families future.

3 - The number of times we ate at In and Out. I love that the only way we could get Mini Fox in the picture was to have them hold hands, a hand is better than nothing right?

2 - the number of park playdate, it's finally light outside after work, enough time to run to the park and we've been having so much fun!

18 - The number of selfies I took this month

Favorite Doable Hiking Spot In Southern California

Happy Monday Foxy Friends. I know two posts in one day! Crazy talk around here, but I just couldn't help myself, so many good blog hops going on right now. Today I'm teaming up with some awesome ladies for a favorite places in California post. How fun is that? We are all located up and down the California coast, so no matter where you are going to visit you're going to get something fun to do!

There are so many fun places to visit in California. Besides the obvious Disneyland, LEGOLAND, and the beach. My favorite spot is Top of the World in Laguna Beach. It is up in the Laguna Hills/Mountains, I never know which is considered a mountain and which a hill. Anyways, it has a gorgeous 360° view, with ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. If you drive there, there is a park at the top, called Alta Laguna Park, where the kids can play. We've taken a picnic up there, the kids played, we sat on the grass and enjoyed watching the kids and of course the gorgeous weather. There are also several hiking trails you can do as well. You can either start at the top and work your way down and turn around when you get tired, or you can take a 6 mile round trip, starting at Canyon View Park in Aliso Viejo and working your way up and back.

Before my ankle surgery I used to go a couple of times a month with a hiking group on Saturday mornings. There is nothing better than watching the sunrise. Not many people are hiking then, so it's quite peaceful and some great conversations with friends, old and new.

Now go check out these other ladies to see where their favorites spots around California are:

3 Tips to Getting Me Time

Hello Foxy Friends. If you are coming from The Blended Blog, welcome! So glad that you stopped by. Today I'm talking about how I get some me time, sometimes it seems selfish, but I like to think of it as, if I don't get some me time then I'm not going to be the best mother that I can be.

| ONE |

Three words, Mom's Nights Out. I live for these. I have a group of friends that try to get together once a month or every 6 weeks or so. Hard with everyone's schedules. We usually do a Thursday night, those always seem to work out the best. But seriously chatting about beauty, make up, kids (sort of), what's going on in life, it's great to catch up and not have to wipe someone's nose or talk over screaming kids.

December

It's really a great excuse to dress up a little and put on a full face, cause really when do we really do that?

| TWO |

This little blog space of mine. Although I do talk about my kids a LOT, it's time that I sit down at my computer and talk about anything that I want to. Whatever is on my mind at the time. Plus I have met a lot of great ladies. Like all of the ladies over at The Blended Blog. I cannot wait to see/meet some more of them in real life in May. This is from Vegas last year...and we've been talking about our May meet up for over a year!

We did lots of shopping

Laughing and eating, I'm sure that May will be no different and we're adding a bunch more TBB'ers.

Exercise. If you have been around for a while then you all know that I exercise. Last week, I shared how much I really hate working out, but in reality, it does make me feel better when I am having a bad day. Sort of run/lift out the anger. I used to feel super guilty having the kids with someone else all day and then get home to have them go to the gym daycare. But when I really thought about it, this is for me, this is what makes me feel good about myself. Sometimes when I have a bad day at work, it helps to clear my head and let's me restart my thinking away from work so I can be a better mother for the kids. Plus it lets me eat that brownie I really need after a tough day, who's with me?

Now hop on over to Deena to see how she makes time for herself as a busy mom of 2.

Friday Favorites #105

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Actually I had yesterday and today off, which has been nice. Get some stuff done before leaving on Sunday for the week. Boo.

In case you missed it this week:

Monday: My Workout Routine
Tuesday: The Guy Behind the Blog
Wednesday: Grey Monochromatic Look
Thursday: FabFunFit Editors Unboxing First Impression

While I was gone last week Mr. took the kids to LEGOLAND. He even did Mini Fox's hair for the occasion. He took this picture and then said, doing a girls hair is a Dad's Kryptonite. I think he did pretty good.

For Valentine's Day as you know I was out of town, but my family sent me pictures, which is almost as good, or so I kept telling myself. Isn't this Valentine's so cute?

I got a Valentine's picture from the kids, they are so cute.

Meanwhile I got to spend time with these folks. My Godmother and my Uncle.

This is the view from their balcony.

The weather was actually agreeable and I got to go for a, what turned out to be, 5 mile run. Talk about legs falling off. There was this huge hill, but I wanted to get to the top so I could get this view.

This past weekend, I finally made it home, after a long plane ride in probably the worst storm California has seen in a long while. But I finally made it home and Saturday we took this girl to her first movie.

She loved it and we are so excited that we can now go to the movies as a family. I'm thinking girls night to the movies next month for Beauty and the Beast. I'm hoping they made it kid friendly?

Then Sunday was church followed by some In and Out...yum. This is us waiting in line for the food, we were too lazy to get out.

After naps Mini Fox and I snuggled in bed and watch Toy Story.

This happening this week. Forts are our favorite. Mr. can make some pretty epic forts.

Yesterday I got to take the day off, woo hoo! I got a bunch of errands done, filmed some YouTube videos, took some outfit pictures and then went and got a mani/pedi, which I haven't done in probably 8 months.

So nice to get pampered once in a while right?

Linking up with The Blended Blog for a little Blog Loves.

First up is Erin, she just had a heart warming story that just made me feel good, and reminded me that no matter how small an act it could be something huge for someone else.

I love how open Cara is about no appologizing for life. Life happens, and no matter what you see on social media, life is messy, it's not always rainbows and butterflies. Thanks Cara for keeping it real.

This could be the cutest thing ever...can we just all say awwwww.  Stefanie thought she was getting two girl bunnies, but ended up with 10 extra ones...oops! But they are so cute! If you are having a rough day, just go ahead and click on this, it's a feel good post. Plus when you say bunny, doesn't it just make you smile?

Katy, Shelly and Holly are starting a new link up called Royally Waiting every Wednesday, so get to linking up, these ladies deserve all of the support we can give!

What are you up to this weekend? We aren't doing much, just trying to get organized for me to leave for another week. Boo, but this should be the last one for a bit. Woo hoo!
