First Sleep Overs

Hello! Today is my short week, so it's definitely a Happy Monday, with no work on Friday we get a 4 day work week, yay!

Friday after bath I asked Mini Fox if she wanted curly hair and she of course said yes. I decided I didn't want to blow dry her hair and then curl it with a curling iron, too much heat, so I decided to try some finger curls held down by bobby pins. She stayed still the entire time and was so excited.

A view from the back, it was hard to get her to stay still for the back picture.

When she came downstairs Baby Fox said let's take a picture together with Mini Fox, then he proceeded to stand in front of her...

But before bed we did a little popcorn and watched part of the first Star Wars

She gobbled it down, in two seconds flat.

Took the bobby pins out and it totally worked! I was super impressed, fell out by the morning, but hey it worked, and I didn't put any product  in her hair, knowing she was going to be going to sleep soon.

Saturday I recorded a day in the life, which is going to be posted with the other The Blended Blog ladies on February 4th, so you'll have to wait for that, but to give some high lights...

I met up with a friend for some spa time (obviously couldn't take pictures inside, haha)

This little guy went to his first sleep over at a friends house. He was so excited and did fantastic! Didn't get any calls and they said he was the perfect "rent-a-kid" doesn't every parent want to hear that.

So while he was there, we sent Mini Fox over to my parents to hang out with my parents and we went on a date.

Sunday, we went to collect Baby Fox and then headed out to the movies with them.

The boys were so cute together, Mini Fox just wanted to join in on the fun.

While everyone else was in the movies, Mini Fox and I went shopping, there is no way Mini Fox would stay still for an entire movie. So I sacrificed and said, I guess I'll go shopping while you guys watch the movie...sacrifices I'm telling you.  So we headed over to the kids play area for a while.

Then we headed to Target and this girl was not sitting every lady like.

Then she really wanted to go on the Ferris Wheel, she was so excited.

Gorgeous views! Just glad that the railing went up so high, made me a little nervous with her in there.

I guess I forgot to take any more pictures, oops. But the kids slept for forever. I had to eventually wake up Baby Fox, and Mini Fox shortly after, but it was a good 2.5 hour nap for both.

Love getting pictures of the kid during work. Mini Fox's face...I die it's so cute.

How strong is this little man.

Me and Baby Fox goofing off while we wait for Mini Fox to wake up from her nap, we sent this to my sister. She sent back and equally funny picture, which I don't think she would want me to show here, haha.

Cute little fox

Remember in my Monday recap, I told you that Mr. and Baby Fox played some laser tag in the park? I forgot that I took some video...so much fun and he can't wait to go back and do it again.

This girl is so funny. We were eating dinner and suddenly she says "I need chocolate in my mouth!" I of course laughed and grabbed the camera to video it. Then she went into an explaination of it will make her feel better. She had been eating pineapple and I cut her off from eating more so it wouldn't upset her stomach...

Irresistible Me Hair Exensions Review

Happy Thursday! I always feel that after Wednesday the rest of the week flies by, so basically by being Thursday it's practically Friday which means it's the weekend!

Today I'm doing my very first review. I received these hair extensions for my honest opinion. I can't believe that I actually got something to review! I was so stinkin' excited when they came in the mail. I had no idea when they were coming, so when they got here, I was jumping up and down with excitement.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on them...this is box that they came in. In case you didn't know Irresistible Me has a line of clip in extensions that is 100% human remy hair. You can style them just like your own hair, and can be washed just like regular hair.

I ended up getting the Silky Touch Clip-ins, 200 gram Natural Black in 24 inches.

When you open the box the hair is contained in this package.

Even the bottom of the box was cute.

The test hair came in the small part to the right and then once you figure out if you want to keep the hair, you can break the seal on the left side and get the rest of the hair.

All the hair came wrapped like this:

Once you take the netting off, the hair has a natural wave to it.

Look at how many pieces it comes with! I haven't ever been able to use all of them, my hair is too thin to do that.

Here are some before pictures. I took them really quick before I was leaving for a Christmas party...guess what's on my foot? Yep a boot.

And here are the hair extensions in with just straight hair. I think these would probably look better if I were to straighten my hair with the extensions in with a straightener. Next time I'll have to try that. (Confession: I was feeling self conscious about the whole thing, so ended up taking them off before the party. I was in such a rush that I didn't really know if they looked good, and didn't have time to curl it, so I took them out, chicken right?)

I wore them over the course of a couple of months to really get a feel for it. The first time I really wore them was actually to my friends kid's birthday party. She hardly recognized me from the back when I got there. I was actually wearing my boot when I took these pictures, but I can't find the pictures with the boot in it. Darn it.

Doesn't it look so natural though? You would never guess that it wasn't my real hair.

I've worn them a few times here and there and the more I wear them, the better I feel in them. Most recently I wore them to MNO (Mom's Night Out). All of my friends want some now.

My conclusion is that I love, love, love them! When I first got them I thought that getting the 24 inches was a mistake and that I should have gone with a shorter size, but as with anything, now that I'm used to wear them out in public, I'm not so afraid of the long length any more. I once was like this with red lipstick, and now I think I own more red lipstick than any other color. You all should get some!

If they are not having a 20% off new customer sale you can use the promocode IrresisitibleSarah for a 10% discount. This code is not affiliated in any way, just trying to get you guys the best deal!

I put together a little video for you guys on how I wear them and put them in. Now go visit Irresistible Me and find the right color and length for you, enjoy!

I do know that they have styling tools, and other hair accessories that you should check out as well. I can't speak from experience, but I can tell you that I've only heard great things. Let me know if you get any and show me your styles...maybe in my hair challenge link up?

Hair Challenge 2016 Link Up #3

Week 3 of the hair challenge! I didn't do as much as I would have liked, but hey, I did something, and that's what matters right?

Last Wednesday I did the braided halo crown, my favorite way to do my hair. I woke up late, which is the worst, and I had planned to put my hair up, and since I couldn't think of anything quickly and didn't have time to watch any youtube videos and threw it up in the halo crown. With my favorite red poncho of course, what's the best way to cover up that you're super late? Throw on a really big poncho over clothes...haha.

Thursday I had super dirty hair, and I tried the messy bun, again and again and again...and then ended up doing a "messy bun" but a structured one. I tease the heck out of my hair, made it really fluffy and then sort of twisted and wrapped it like a ballerina would. Structure. I like structure. Perhaps that's why my messy buns never work out?

I did learn a tip while watching all of the YouTube videos, everyone loosens up the backside and the front side and it makes it more lived in...I like it, and over the next year I am going to perfect that messy bun. Everyone makes it look so easy...it's not easy!

Thursday night I went out with some friends and wore my Irresistible Me clip in hair extensions. Full review coming tomorrow! I absolutely love them, and wish my hair was really that long and thick, okay maybe not during the summer, cause thick, long hair in the heat doesn't sound fun. Anyway, there might be a video involved too...

I took this when I got home about 11:30
Friday I did something super simple, my hair was slightly curly from the night before (see above) and I wanted to get it off my face for errands with Mini Fox. I should have taken a picture of the front of my face too, oops.

The last one I did was over the weekend, it was the Simple Knotted Updo from Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles. I can't wait to try some of her hair styles on Mini Fox! Anyway, I loved how easy it was, looked put together and it took me 2 minutes.

I decided to pair this hair style with a potential date night outfit. Graphic tee, tulle skirt with some booties and a jean jacket oh and can't forget the statement necklace, wins every time in my book.

I did simple quick make-up, you know cause when you have kids and are trying to get out for the night you don't always have a ton of time :) At least that's what I was pretending when doing this look.

I had time to make a video for you guys too! I'm loving making the videos, let me know in the comments if I should keep making them, or if you would rather see something else. Don't worry my feels won't be hurt, I'll probably still make them anyway :) I hope to see some of your hair styles this week, if not, try to do one thing out of the norm next week and tag me on IG #hairchallenge2016

Happy Hair Day!

Show and Tell: Momfessional Moments

First: Head on over to The Blended Blog to see my post about what I'm doing new this year, it has to do with my house.

It's another Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea, today's topic - Momfessions (you know confessions we do as a mom), she had this same topic last year, click here to see that post. But it's a new year and you know we all have new confessions to fess up.

We'll start with the picture:

Pacifiers: Yep Mini Fox still has a pacifier. Her top teeth are actually starting to take shape like her pacifier. Yes I know it's bad for her teeth, yes I know we'll need braces (both Mr. and I had braces for several years, there is no escaping genetics), and yes we use the paci as a reward, if she's bad all we have to do is threaten to take away her paci for nap time and she usually shapes up.

As you can see Baby Fox still sucks his fingers and we can't really chop off his fingers...so what are ya going to do? He does suck them WAY less now that he's started preschool but it's his for of comfort, how can we take that away?

Bath Time: Mr. and I let the kids play a little longer in the bath so we can get a few minutes to ourselves. Most times they splash water EVERYWHERE and we keep saying we're going to cut bath time short the next night but we never do.

Gummy Snacks: I tell the kids they can't have gummy snacks at night time (because doc told me that if they eat them in the evening it doesn't have enough time to get off their teeth and most times brushing doesn't get that gummy stuff off), but I will sneak some gummy snacks while cooking dinner and they're busy doing other things.

Nap Time: Updated naptime confession. Baby Fox does not need a nap any more, I repeat Baby Fox does not need a nap any more...this cannot happen! I need that nap time to get stuff done...therefore he still takes a 2 hour nap. Yes he falls asleep and yes sometimes he can't fall asleep at regular bed time. So far he just stays in his room and plays on his bed quietly. Most nights we don't even know he is still awake until we go to bed and he comes out to give us a hug or has to go to the bathroom.

What are your momfessions?!? Please tell me I'm not alone!
