Hair Challenge Link Up #8 + An Announcement!

Back with another week of hair styles. I wasn't as good this week as previous weeks, but I did do something, so there's that.

Last Thursday I did this style, inspired by this video. I had just watched it the night before, so when I woke up it was fresh in my mind. I used two rubberbands, not one like in their video #cheatercheaterpumpkineater

On Saturday I decided I wanted to try this, I think it turned out pretty good, but I think it would look better on someone who has multi color hair so you can actually see the braids. I had to move to the sun so you could see them when I was taking my pictures, haha.

This* sweater, THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING YOU WILL EVER WEAR. There are only x-small and smalls left and it's only $28, seriously go get it now if that's your size, you won't regret it. I added this* white tank top from Target under it so if it fell to one side my bra wouldn't be showing. I'm classy like that.

It's hard to show you the whole style, so put together every angle you could possibly want. It's was a super fun hairstyle to wear, and yes I'm still working on the "messy bun" why is it so hard for me?!

And then I just a jump shot...because...why not?

I tried this hair style on Sunday. This picture doesn't really do it justice, but it was super cute and I am planning on doing it again next week! I think it will go great with the style prompt that I got, but more on that later. Forgot to take a picture of it from the front. But here I am with the kids.

My last style for the week was going to WORK OUT!!!! What?! I was so happy to get back to my workout class. This is how I typically do my hair for working out. I french braid it a little and then pull it back into a ponytail. I have a lot of new growth by my hairline, which doesn't always make it into the ponytail, with the braid it gets those hairs out of the way so I'm not constantly pushing them out of my eyes.

And picture of the front, a few minutes after class ended, felt great, but boy are my abs sore today, best feeling right? Lady in the middle is the instructor and she's in her early 50's! Can you believe it? She looks great right?! The other lady is a friend in class. Happy to see both of them after 4 months off.

So those are my styles this week. My favorite was the double french braid, it was just fun to wear, although towards the end of the night I was ready to take it out, having your hair up like that does a number on the scalp.

And now for the big announcement! The ladies at The Blended Blog and I have put together a fun series for you! Each of the contributors picked a style that really represents them, and then the rest of the collaborators are going to use that prompt and make it their own. So you'll be seeing each of our takes on the style prompt, you'll get a wide variety of outfits from all different climates and different parts of the US and Canada. How fun is that? And best yet, you can participate too! We're going to do a link up each week starting next week! So get those outfits together and link up and if you don't have a blog, no problem! Just use #theblendedblogstyle on IG, FB and Twitter.

How many times it took me to get that jump shot up there...It was just me and my timer...persistence pays off.

Legoland Review: 5 Must See Things

Hi Foxy People!

I'm finally doing that Legoland Review that I promised you a while back. I know took me long enough right? So here it is!

I think I will do the Do's in this post and save the Don'ts for another post.

ONE

Stay at the Legoland Hotel if you can! It's pretty amazing! They cater to  your every need.

Upon check in they give you and your kids a scavenger hunt. Fill in the numbers and it opens the treasure box in your room filled with some Legos for the kids to keep!

TWO

You don't really even have to stay at the hotel to do this, every night they have entertainment for the kids and a Lego building contest. Each month they have a them of what to build. When we went it was something that you love. The night we went they did about an hour of entertainement, and hour of the lego building contest and then another hour or so of a magic show.

This is where the entertainment happens. The moat around the boat is filled with Legos to build your creations.

Where I am taking the picture above from is a lounge/bar area for the parents to hang out and watch their kids play, win-win for everyone.

Magic show time - This time Baby Fox got picked to help with the magic show, he was so excited!

THREE

If you stay at the hotel you get into the park 30 minutes before everyone else. Hit up the rides with the longest lines like Lost Kingdom Adventure (it's a shooting target game).

That is my kids favorite ride/game there and the lines there tend to get long.

FOUR

There are several places to build things like at the Build and Test where you make race cars and race them against other people.

Or build a raft, especially on those hot days, this will come in handy to get a little wet.

FIVE

You have to let your kids run around at The Hidaways. There is only one way in and one way out, so they can't wonder off, it gives you a small break and they LOVE it in there! Plus they get tired and blow off some steam.

So there you have it, the 5 must see things to do according to my kids. I would like to say that an Honorable mention is the big slides. My kids LOVE that thing.

If you've ever been to LEGOLAND what is your must have or must do? Sound off below for people planning a trip!

Come back next week for my 5 Don't bother things.

Weekend Recap

Weekend 2 without the Mr. over! We survived the weekend, and everyone is still alive, win.

Friday we went to the mall to get some Cheesecake Factory for dinner, and of course I left my phone and camera at home, so no pictures. We did dinner, went to the playground and had fun. And then we came home I put the kids to bed and then made 16 dozen cookies. If you're wondering they look like this:

Saturday morning was fairly lazy. Baby Fox is up on the bed and Mini Fox wanted to watch tv on the floor.

Breakfast of eggs and peaches

After breakfast we headed off to a new park to meet up with some friends. It was actually a really cool park, then entire thing was in shade, win in my book, definitely be back in the summer.

This was the popular thing to do at the park, they kept coming back to this one, it spun, what's better than this?

And this, how many kids can fit on the seesaw?

Afterwards we hit up the grocery store, this girl wanted to be worn and he wanted in the cart instead of walking around so it worked out. They wanted to hold hands the entire time, super cute and I worked on my side walking at the same time.

And then we took some selfies

Silly girl

Of course it's late and the kids need lunch so we stopped at our favorite place...can anyone guess?

Waiting for our food

Usually we wait till we get home to eat, but since home was 20 minutes away, I made an exception to the rule of eating in the car and each one of them got their own box, she only got fries in her box and she thought it was the the coolest thing ever.

Back home to finish up naps and then we had some friends over. These three are just the best. I love them so much. The reason why they're standing here... they wanted to know who was taller.

Sunday was a birthday party at a fun kids museum. The food was endless.

The kids had a blast and asked me when we can go back.

Happy Birthday little ones!

After naps we headed over to my parents for dinner. Always a great way to end the weekend.

How was your weekend?
