I'm so happy that Crystal from Hall Around Texas, Evelina from Fortunate House, Jamie from Cocktails and Carseats, Jessica from Secrets of a Stay at Home Mom are contining on the Guy Behind the Blog series...it was always so fun to torture ask Mr. all of these questions each month, let you guys get to know him a little better.

 

1. Name two things your wife has taught you.

 

Really? I have to be interviewed? Are you typing that? (Groan)...I don't know honey bear...lots. You taught me lots.

 

2. What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

 

Oh...my favorite part of our wedding day? Hmmm...I think when we actually got married and we were really married in front of the church. When they announced us and we were officially married.

 

3. Valentines Day is usually more about the girl...but tell me, what is something YOU would love to receive on Valentine's day?

4. What was the best date you and your wife ever had?

 

One of our first when dates when we were on the beach and fell asleep on each other.

 

5. If money was no object and you could go anywhere in the world with just your spouse, where would you go and what would you do?

 

I would rather take the whole family, can we do that? I would go with the whole family to, Bora Bora, or somewhere fun like that. Somewhere we could go snorkeling as a family.

Oh...is it a realy holiday...aaaaahhhhhh....kind of a fake holiday.

1. What sports did you participate in as a child? What sports did you watch growing up?

Basketball (wait you participated in basketball), umhummmm...Dodgers baseball and LA Lakers and Chicago Bears Football.

2. If you could line up your ideal Super Bowl, who would be facing off, where would they play and who would you pick to win?

Huh...OH it would be the Bears against the Green Bay Packers and they would play in San Diego so I could go watch them and the Bears would beat them 93-2...no wait, 92 to nothing. Oh wait, they can't really play in the Super Bowl, so that's not really possible, because they are in the same division, but it's my dream, so I can have the Bears beat the Packers in the Super Bowl.

3. Do you prefer the summer or winter Olympics? If you could participate in one Olympic sport, what would it be?

Summer for sure, I would be 100 Meter Dash, so I could be the worlds fastest person on the whole planet and Baby Fox would think that was the coolest thing. And Baby Fox would ask, Dad how fast are you, and I could answer the fastest man on the planet.

I can't find the longer version of this, but we hope that Baby Fox loves the Olympics as much this time around as he did the last time!

4. What is your favorite food to eat at a sports party (ex: World Series, Super Bowl, Stanley Cup, etc.)?

At a sports party? I like chips and dip especially the is it 7 layers, 8 layers? You know what I'm taking about? It's a 7 layer, but only before the kids get there, you know how I feel about that, and I would get there first and scoop a bunch if it on my plate.

5. Who is your all time favorite athlete and why?

Awwww...I'm not like...I don't know, I've never been that obsessed with people, just teams. The coolest thing I saw was Kirk Gibson hit a home run to win a game for the Dodgers in the World Series.

1 // We’re headed into fall, which means cooler temps for most of us…are you a warm weather or cold weather kind of guy?

I'm a California weather kinda  guy, I like 75° and sunny.

2 // What's the best Halloween costume you've ever worn?

Hmmm....I liked our Three Little Bears Costume.

4 // What are your favorite parts of fall (ex: football, the weather, Thanksgiving, etc)?

(Long Pause)...Thanksgiving and... I don't know, no don't put that, wait are you typing everything I say, like a court reporter...Thanksgiving and cooler temperatures and the holidays...blah, blah.

5 // How do you feel about pumpkin spice lattes? (As a joke question hahaha)

Oh I've never had one...should I try one for the sake of the blog? Should I go get myself a PSL? Cause I'm down with the lingo.

The Guy Behind the Blog: 2nd Edition

Back again linking up with Betsy for Guys Behind the Blog Q&A. We were supposed to post this on Monday, but I couldn't find the questions until it was posted, so here are Mr's answers 3 days late. Click here for Mr.'s hilarious last months answers.

1 // What's the silliest thing you and your significant other have needed to compromise on?    Sillist thing....hmmm...we don't compromise on a lot do we? All I can think of is...I followed you around for the first few months of marriage and picked things up and then I realized that our stuff was just going to be out. I'm not even sure you noticed (No I didn't). Now I just have my office that is neat.   2 // If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 must haves would you bring with you?   3 must have things....ummm...I would want to have you there (awww), I get you...a really awesome over water cabanna, you know those huts that we stayed in Tahiti...oh a water bungalow. What else do I get...(long pause)..something cool...(longer pause)...he's taking this serious...(still waiting)...now you're with me on the island, now you can help me. (a lot of the guys said firestarter, no that's not big enough, they're thinking too small)...I was thinking personal chef...but then I thought how is he going to get food, then I was thinking Bear Grylls, so he can hunt food, but I don't think I want to hang out with him all the time, so I guess we need a personal chef/survival expert person. Now I got my wife, an over water bungalow and a personal chef/survivalist, I think I'm pretty good. Take that desert island. Two of my three things are people...interesting...

  3 // Talents aside, what is your dream job?    I would be a professional song writer.  

Side note: Mr. does do some song writing on the side. He just wrote my cousins theme song for his podcast. You should check it out. I think I need a theme song. FYI: his theme song arrives in podcast #8, they talk about it at the very beginning. And my cousin and his friend are really funny too, let me know what you think.

4 // What are three things on your bucket list?    I don't have much on my bucket list, I don't think I want to wait around to do things. I don't think I like that, why don't you just do it if you want to do it, I can't really think of anything that I would think of that way...if it's that important just go do it.  

Deep Mr., real deep. But I do agree, if you want to do something, don't wait, just do it.

 

5 // What kind of date is your favorite to go on with your significant other? (Romantic, fun, spontaneous, etc.)

   

 Spontaneous is not an option any more, My favorite date is when we get out of town together for a long weekend, like Santa Barbara or something like that.

I randomly came across Betsy and her blog with a guys behind the blog series. I missed out on July, but thought I would do August. So Mr. and I are going through the questions...and well let's just say he's not into weddings...at all.

(Sigh)...a funny wedding story? Are you sure these questions are for boys? (takes a sip of his soda)...

My funny wedding story, this one time I saw a wedding and...it was in the country...and...they almost got to the alter and the bride totally ran away...and it happened three more times during the movie...

2 // On the topic of love, who was your childhood crush?

Are you serious? Are you just writing everything I say, like a court reporter? These are not questions for boys are they? Are you sure these are the right questions? (sigh)

I think in preschool I was in love with this little girl named Joy and  have no idea what she looks like, and I was always in love with a girl when I was a little kid.
 

3 // What is your top love language? What is your significant other's love language? 

Looove language...
Then he proceeded to tell me things that cannot be repeated on this blog...so moving along.
 

4 // How did you meet your significant other? 

He said...

Man of few words...okay he's definitely not into love and wedding stuff, he pretty much banned me from even watching wedding related shows after we got married. But we'll definitely try again next month! Haha...Have fun getting married Betsy! I can't wait to see the pictures!
