What We've Been Up To

New Year, more blog posts coming your way. I had a great break with the family, well besides all of us getting sick at some point. Although Mr. must have mad hand washing skills...or he just doesn't get slobbered on as much, he seems to have miss the colds we have all gotten the last two rounds.

So onto the last few days of what we've been up to. I'm just going to make this a long post of pictures (not that it's different from other weekend recaps posts), so grab a coffee and sit tight.

Mini Fox enjoying brother's birthday cake

Clean little Fox

You can see all of her teeth in this picture...so funny she got her side teeth in before her two front teeth.

And they say it doesn't get cold here...

In fact so cold that we got some snow...those hills in the background, I've never seen snow on them that low. My friend got 4 inches of snow in her backyard, unheard of where I live.

Aren't all of those solar panels so ugly? Try to ignore them, I do. In case you wanted to know, I took this picture from my bathroom window.

New Years Eve, we headed to visit my cousins and their new baby. Don't worry he's not smothering her, he's holding the pacifier in her mouth, to say she's a fussy baby is the understatement of the year. But they're doing great. This is Cousin #8 and Cutie #10 (cousins baby)

Afterward we headed to my brother's house for some New Years fun.

He had a bounce house in the garage for the kids...

We were suppose to write a new years resolution and #foxnye2015

Yummy cupcakes from the Hostess with the Mostess

My family, the guy in the middle my brother and I went to Kindergarten with, and we both ended up going to the same college, my brother and his wife.

Party Animal!

But not so much at midnight when we got home.

New Years Day we did the playdate thing, finally my friend and I had some free time!

They have a cat, Mini Fox was pretty much obsessed.

Try to get two 1 year olds to look at the same time, impossible

She really wants to wear brothers shoes, now if only she could find a matching pair

and maybe put them on the correct way, wearing your shoes backwards makes it hard to walk.

Friday we had some friends over for dinner. At least one of them seemed happy

Saturday we had a birthday party in the morning

They played some flag football...

Or tackle as the case may be

Off sides Mini Fox!

Some baseball

Tree climbing

Pizza Eating

Mini Fox is growing up so fast! I finally had a camera on me to take a video...

Saturday night we went to my Aunt and Uncle's house for dinner with Cousin #3 and her family.

Table for two

Mini Fox wanted to sit too, but she didn't make the cut

Cousin secrets under the table of course

Sunday Mini Fox was pretty sick all day...poor thing. She took 2 three hour naps, crazy right? And when she was awake, she was like this.

Mr. took Baby Fox to the movies and then out to lunch

hotdogs dipped in apple sauce of course
He was tired, almost fell asleep while eating lunch, that never happens!

Mr. and I watched both seasons of Orange is the New Black, so good! Can't wait till the next season comes out, then we started on season 4 of Game of Thrones, also good. At least we won't have to wait as long for season 5 of that one.

Back to the grind...and back into working out, now that I'm healthy, hoping to get back to the gym a few days a week.

Happy New Year, any new years resolutions out there? I don't usually set any, but this year, I'm going to try and make dinner more often. The last few months I've gotten really lazy...need to cook more!

Christmas at the Fox's

I had every intention of blogging about Christmas, but then the littles got sick, and well you know what happens when littles get sick, nothing gets done. They were tag teaming us on the nap schedules too. Good news is: they seem to be on the mend. No one woke up in the middle of the night last night, so that's a plus.

I guess I'll start with Christmas, we hosted 12 adults and 4 kids. Other than the meat taking an extra 2 hours then thought to cook, everything turned out great! Baby Fox had a little playmate to run around with, so he wasn't bored, and the two little kids chased the big kids around...so everything worked out in the end.

I guess I'll just start with Wednesday night. We went to church at the Bascillica in San Juan Capistrano, it was so pretty! I wish I had taken some pictures, but forgot my camera.

After church we headed back to my parents for dinner and presents. My parents went overboard to say the least. Mini Fox might have gotten a whole new wardrobe!

She wanted to put everything on...at once

No dinner is complete without some pumpkin pie and whipped cream

After we got home I made Baby Fox's birthday cake. He wanted it to have swedish fish in it...

oops, made the hole a little too big, so it started to crack, note to self, don't make the hole too big. don't worry, I fixed it with a bunch of frosting...

Morning came and Baby Fox was so excited! We did this to his door.

Then we woke up Mini Fox

Finally time for presents!

We opened a few gifts:

But we had to take a break to play with some of the gifts:

then we ate some breakfast and continued with the present opening:

The rest of the day was pretty relaxed, we had set up the tables earlier in the week, and had everything ready to go it was nice not having to run around trying to get stuff done the day of.

We took the meat out to come to room temp, and of course by the time it was ready to cook, it was still cold! Oops, which meant that it took forever for the meat to cook, but hey what can ya do?

23 pounds of prime rib
We were supposed to eat around 5pm, but it took 2 extra hours to cook...so we did a ginger bread house

Opened gifts before dinner instead of after

good thing we had some good appetizers!

Which all got eaten...good thing it was good and there was a lot
but finally, finally the meat finished!

and my cousin sliced it up

and everyone got the food and were happy campers, especially because it turned out so good! Phew!

After dinner we did birthday cake for Baby Fox

Love the photo bomber back there
It was a great Christmas with family and friends. Next year the meat will be done on time!
