A Spiderman Kind Of Weekend

Back to my weekend....I think I actually might need a weekend from my weekend! It was crazy busy! I took a half day on Friday to get everything done that I needed to get done for Baby Fox's Spiderman Party. But I think everything turned out GREAT! Come back tomorrow to see the details of the party.

Thursday was my allergy shot and Mini Fox went with me, she looks so grown up looking through the books. But I think the pacifier gives her away.

Friday I worked half a day and then started getting ready for the party.

He ran inside to get his hammer (it's plastic and was so cute he thought it would work)

My Dad was such a big help, love that he lives so close to help out.

Baby Fox helped me make the cake and cupcakes.

She helped to eat the beaters

I'm fairly certain that's the only reason he helped. He kept asking when the frosting was going to be ready...I didn't do that until after he went to bed.

After Mr. got home we did a family trip to get some food, I love when we do things as a family.

She picked out the shoes and socks...don't think I would necessarily put grey socks with black shoes, hehe.

I think they could have watched the kitties forever, we had to drag them away.

I stayed up way too late decorating this...come back tomorrow to see how it turned out.

Saturday party day! Baby Fox could hardly contain himself and couldn't wait for everyone to get here, mostly because he really wanted to go swimming, LOL. Helping me put the cupcake toppers on, he was so excited.

Of course it would start raining...it NEVER rains here and then decides to rain on our pool party day...at least it was still warm out. It didn't stop these kids from playing though.

Eventually the rain stopped (as in 10 minutes later), and we were still able to go swimming, I know you were all concerned.

Lots of jumping in the water. Seriously Mini Fox has no fear!

The birthday boy, it was a little too windy so the candles didn't really work out.

All in all I think it was a very successful birthday party. But boy was a I tired. Exausted is more like it. Which brings us to Sunday, all of us were TIRED! It was a super lazy  Sunday, the way I like it. I actually vlogged it, so there aren't very many pictures. Mr. was loving wearing her because she gave such good snuggles.

Just reading his comic. My parents got him this Spiderman Comic book and he LOVES it.

Syle Me Bloggers - My Summer Reading List

Hi there! The Style Me Bloggers are back and we're talking about what we're reading this summer. Admitedly I don't read that much, usually after a long day of work I like to veg out in front of the TV for an hour or so before bed...but these are books that I've bought and really are sitting on my night stand. I have a problem buying books (yes real books, I just can't do the Kindle yet, I am holding out, last man standing, who's with me?!) and then not reading them, but I'm getting there, I promise. So here we go:

Right now, while getting my allergy shots I started reading the first book in the Gentleman Bastard Series. I'm only a few pages in, but so far so good. I'm looking forward to reading the rest.

The Storyline:

I won't go into the other books, as I don't want to giveaway anything, but I've only heard good things about these books.

I've wanted to read the Husband's Secret for a while now, it's been on my nightstand for a while now, My mom said it's a great read, I can't wait to read this one either.

Funny, I didn't realize What Alice Forgot was from the same author as the Husband's Secret, but this is on my list of books to read as well. I don't own it yet, but next time I need to get to free shipping on Amazon, you getting believe this is going in my cart.

Sidenote: Most of my books are aquired because I need to get to $35 for free shipping on Amazon. Anyone else do that?

Another book on my nightstand, I've only heard good things about this book. When am I going to find time to read all of these books?!

I'm a big Jodi Picoult fan, Every book she has written I have loved. while looking around for books to read this summer, I discovered this one, came out only 2 months ago.

The Storyline:

I was just browsing Amazon and found this book. It got 4.6 stars with over 13,000 reviews...in my book that's a winner. 

The Storyline:

Father's Day vlog

Happy Thursday! Before I get to my post, first head on over to Beth's blog where I am talking about what it's like to be a girl Mom. :)

Now that you're back....Another week and I actually got another vlog up, with party week happening, either I'm getting better at editing or I'm just ahead of schedule (so I think) with getting the party together. I always think I have it covered and I'm not going to stress out, but it never happens like that. I'll keep you posted.

I didn't mention it in the video, but Mr. really is the best husband and father any woman/kid could ask for, he does so much for our family and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

7 Outfits and a Giveaway

Another week with the Style Bloggers today for another link up for the Summer Challenge, feel free to link up any outfit of choice, we'd love to get some more ideas! Let's just get right to it, since we have 7 outfits to get through.

Day 3

 This is the white dress that I wore for Mini Fox's first birthday party. I thought it was the perfect white dress. I have a vest on order...hopefully coming this week! I subbed in my jean jacket with cuffs rolled.

It says to add a headband, but I just can't do headbands, I think I have a weird shaped head, because headbands ALWAYS slip off the backside of my head, any tips on helping me?

Day 4

Now thatt I'm looking at this picture, I'm not so sure about these shorts...they're super comfy, I'm actually wearing them as I type this post out. But I do love the kimono that I bought off of Jane.com. Have you guys ever shopped there before? It's pretty awesome.

I sorta love how the wind is blowing through my hair, like I'm some model or something.

Day 5

I totally didn't follow this outfit at all, the only thing I sort of had was the colored shorts, it specified bright shorts and these aren't bright (in my opinion), and the top was supposed to be white...so missed that, but I don't have a white flowy top, and I really like this top and these shorts together, so there ya go.

Day 6

This day called for a chambray shirt, I've been looking for a sleeveless chambray that I like, but haven't found one yet, so I opted to roll the sleeves. I actually really like this outfit, that surprised me. I'm not sure why, because I like white and I like chambray, why not put it together!

Day 7

I did a similar outfit with this, but instead of doing the jean jacket I added a tied chambray and it totally changed the look, crazy how one piece of clothing can do that.

Day 8

Again, didn't follow this outfit day either. It said patterned palazzo pants, which I don't have, and a flowy top, which the only solid color flowy tank I have is that black one from the first week.  So I figured I would chose another flowy tank with a patterned...wait for it...back side! And some solid shorts...sort of mixed it up a bit.

I just love that you don't expect the back to be floral.

Woah...see that grey hair there? Yeah that's not the sun, that's a really grey hair. (look on the left side of my head)

Day 9

I busted out my Captain America T-shirt, when Baby Fox saw this he nearly jumped out of his skin with excitement. He said, I want to wear mine too! I love how casual this outfit is, so comfy but really put together.

And for you Deena...:)  Princess crown and Captain America...haha! I can't believe I just did that.
