Love and Hate

I love this tag, I loved reading everyone's Love/Hate things, I found that so many times I was saying...YES that's ME! I was tagged by Vanessa and Deena  go check out their Love/Hate posts. Here we go, 10 things I love and hate. Although hate is such a strong word, so I'm just going to go with with things that make me cry, mostly because I found a picture of Mini Fox crying and thought that it fit.

1. These people

2.  My Saturday sunrise hikes

3. The summer and being able to swim after work before dinner. Love when it's lighter later.

4. Perfect days, one that involves my family and being with them every second of the day.

5. That I joined Alison's Challenge over a year ago and I found that clothes makes a huge different in your confidence. I didn't realize it at the time, but she really changed my life.  She made me try things I never thought I would and love

Like a Jean Jacket or Jean Vest

6.  The smell of the pavement after a good rain

7. The first sleep after you change your sheets

8. Baby snuggles, nothing beats when they lay their little heads done on your shoulder.

9.  Gilmore Girls - that show makes me ridiculously happy, I can watch reruns over and over again. I think it's the fast pace talking? I'm not sure what it is, but I just love that show. Maybe it's that it was something I did with my Mom when I lived at home, every Tuesday night we'd snuggle up on the couch and watch GG.

10. Planning parties, I love throwing people parties and the looks on their face when they see the decorations and all the people that come to help them celebrate. I love creating the party decorations, I think my favorite to date was the backdrop I created for Baby Fox's half birthday this year.

She is crying in this picture because she wanted to suck on the pacifiers that are sitting on her lap and I wouldn't open them. Life is rough.

Like I said, I didn't want to put the word hate on a picture of my daughter, so I did cry instead, these things don't necessarily want to make me cry, but pretty darn close.

1. People who can't drive. I drive over 100 miles a day to and from work, so when it comes to weekend driving, people drive me crazy. They drive super slow in the carpool lane and then you're stuck there, driving behind someone driving super slow when you can clearly see that there is a good mile between them and the next car.

2. When people at work send me an email and spell my name wrong. Like really? You just entered my email address in your address box, and it clearly says saraH, that's just being lazy.

3. Being hungry, enough said. Speaking of which, I am super hungry right now.

4. The first 26 weeks of pregnancy, morning sickness is no joke.

5.  Feeling left out. Although I try to pretend it doesn't bother me, but deep down I'm dying to know why I wasn't invited, or if they don't like me, I'm super insecure when it comes to feeling left out.

6. When people think they are more important then others. A few examples: That guy who wants to turn right, but is in the left hand turn lane and then holds up everyone else in line wanting to turn left just so he can wait for all the cars to pass so he can turn right? That guy. Or when a lady cuts in line in front of me at the grocery store (when I have two squirmy kids in my Costco cart) and when I say something, she says, she was there first when clearly she was in that other line over there. That lady. Or when people take up two parking spaces, and they know they've done it and don't fix it because their time is more important than anyone elses, just back up and adjust, it takes 2 seconds. That guy.

7. When PMS takes over and I'm crying/mad for no reason and I know it's ridiculous, but I'm crying anyway.

8.  Ants, I hate them in my house, I hate them when I have a picnic and I hate that they make me feel itchy just thinking of them. (as I scratch my head)

9.  Scary Movies. Well that's not true, I do love watching a good scary movie, but the aftermath is not pretty. For months I'll have nightmares, seriously.  We've had to stop watching all scary movies for this reason. We just started watching the Netflix show called Sense8, have you heard of it? It's boarderline too scary for me, and in reality it's not scary at all. But really good, we've only watched 2 episodes, but so far we're hooked.

10.  Not knowing the ending. Of anything really, a book, a movie, sports event, I just want to know how it ends so I'm not sitting there in anticipation. If I just know the ending I don't have to worry about what's going to happen next and can just enjoy whatever I'm watching. I probably should add being out of control. This is definitely a control thing, but that's for a different post ;)

I'm supposed to tag 10 people.

Mommy/ Son Date

Hello Monday, I seriously need to go to bed earlier, I'm tired today. At least it's my short week, I have Friday off, woo hoo! Something to look forward to. But onto our weekend.

Friday we went to a birthday party for one of Colton's school mates. It was at Scooters Jungle...this place must be all the rage, our second one in a month, watch the vlog here. I actually brought a camera, but it didn't have a battery in it...doh!

She thought this was hilarious, put the hockey puck in the goal, retrieve, repeat.

So cool that the kids are old enough to actually sit still enough to take a picture :) We told Mini Fox, okay go over there and take a picture, Baby Fox sat down and said, Mini Fox sit here, she sat right down and stayed there for a good 4-5 minutes while they wrangled kids.

Then they said to stand in line and wait to wash hands before going into the party room. They are just too cute.

Guess what her favorite part was?

Family picture

I tried to get some Thai food afterward, but when I got it home, it tasted funny, so I called and they said they make a big batch of it in the morning and it was going to come from the same batch. But then she said oh wait, they might have a made a new batch, let me check. She comes back and says she'll make me a new one. I get there, and I said I wanted to try it before I went home...and of course it was the exact same thing. They said it smelled normal, but I think it was different. Now that I think of it, I think they put too much fish sauce in it, and that's what made it funky. I hope this isn't how they make it all the time.

Saturday, I'm back with my hikes! Had to take a couple of weeks off because of Baby Fox's 1/2 birthday party and then the 4th of July. It was also the first time it wasn't foggy! Woo hoo. We could see all the way to Catalina, amazing hike with great people. Perfect way to start the weekend.

I vlogged Saturday, so not as many pictures. But come back Thursday for the Vlog

The view without all the people.

My dad stopped by when I was making breakfast with this baseball tee, he got it for $5 at a garage sale, score!
Yep still have Baby Fox's backdrop up...don't have the heart to take down all of my hard work
I took the kids to the grocery store, so Mr. could spray for bugs. Mini Fox thought she wanted to go on my back...she changed her mind 3 minutes later.

I actually took this picture to make sure she was in the Ergo correctly, LOL.
Saturday night I promised Baby Fox to take him to the movies and dinner for a Mommy/Son date. He was in heaven. We saw Inside Out, such a cute movie, I was literally choked up the entire movie until the end and I just couldn't help it. Luckily I had been warned and brought tissues with me.

He picked going to Islands for dinner...we're waiting for our seats and he doesn't want to take a picture. He just wants to eat.

At dinner, Baby Fox's "Mom, another one, REALLY?"

Got him to coooperate some what.

To cap off the evening we went to Yogurtland. The perfect evening with my boy.

Some Sunday morning snuggles

Off to swim lessons and this girl...when did she get to be 5?!

That ponytail kills me.

Baby Fox is doing really well in swim lessons.

The rest of Sunday was laid back, the kids went to the park with Mr. while I made dinner, then they did some swimming, really tire them out before bed. Perfect evening.

What was the best part of your weekend?

Style Me Blogger - My Summer Go-To Style

The Style Me Bloggers are back and we're talking about what our go-to summer styles are. I always find myself grabbing for the same outfits. So here we go.

This skirt is on repeat right now. I actually wore it on Monday to work with a tucked in tee and a jean jacket. I wanted to wear my vest but sometimes the office is cold, and I thought it was weird to wear a jean vest and then a jacket or sweater over that.

This top is on repeat for sure, and it's on sale right now! I think it deserves it's own category, seriously, I love this shirt so much in fact that I've just gotten it in another color. Seriously it's so comfortable, everyone needs one! And the high sides, just a little flirty for summer, but you can always wear a camisole under it too, a little pop of color on the side, cute, cute, cute.

On repeat: tops and bright or patterned shorts. I'm sort of digging the lose fit shirts right now, I can eat a lot and when I get hot my clothes aren't sticking to me.

My kimono's, I think it has to be on my summer go to list. It's a great completer piece (as some of those fashion people would say), but they are light weight for those nights out with friends and family. I feel like these outfits would be so boring without the kimonos.

This kimono is only $12, so if you're on the fence about them, get this one, not too expensive, super cute and not breaking the bank if you don't like it.

This one I got off of Jane.com and they don't have it any more. But if they do I'll let you guys know.

Last year I was all about the long maxi skirts, this year is all about the short sun dresses. Add a sweater, jean jacket, my new jean vest, statement necklace and call it a day.

What's your favorite summer style? Go check out my other bloggy besties to find out what their go to looks are.

3 Reasons You Should Go Sky Diving + a Vlog

It's Thursday and I have another Vlog for you. I wasn't that great at vlogging all of Saturday, but I did most of it. Mostly I really enjoyed the day with my family. After driving over 200 miles in one day, we got home and said, that was the most perfect day. We got to spend the whole day with our family, got to see my cousins and aunts and uncles and just really relax and have a good day.

Here's my experience sky diving.

I'm not going to lie, I was scared. I tried not to think about it too much, but how can you not. The only reason I actually went through with it, was because the first time my Dad did it, as soon as his feet hit the ground he said, when can I do that again! Literally the ONLY reason I did this was because he loved it that much! And you know it's a good bonding experience for us. Not that we needed it.

Want to know the scariest part of it? The 15 minute plane ride up to the drop spot. We're in this tiny plane, sitting on the floor, barely enough room for the 4 of us to sit. I decided to go first, I thought, if I don't go first I might not jump,  which put me right next to the rolling see through door. I thought I might have a heart attack, literally, my chest was pounding, my hands were sweaty. I tell the guy I'm jumping with I might have a heart attack I'm so nervous, he says "don't worry if you pass out I can still land us safely, I've done it before" I thought, holy cow, please don't let that be me, please don't let that be me.

Seconds before we jump, I vow to myself I will not be that person to pass out. I try to step out onto "platform" above the wheel (I say platform for lack of better work, it was just a 8" x 18" plate on top of the wheel. Just enough to put a foot or two before you jump. He told me to get both feet on that platform, so I was concentrating on that and before I knew it, he pushed us off and we were flying in the air. We were instructed to keep our chin up and to kick our feet back, like we were trying to kick him in the butt.

If you're wondering, I kept expecting to feel that roller coaster feeling but I never did. I was looking up when we jumped, so I just saw sky and then we were falling and really you have no frame of reference so you never feel that roller coaster feeling. Before I knew it he pulled the chute and we were just floating in the sky. That was the best part, looking at the fog covered coastline with bits of ocean peaking through.

Okay my last ditch effort to get you guys to try sky diving:

It's a great experience/ way to bond with a friend or family member. Nothing beats doing something so adventurous with someone you love. It's something you'll get to share forever.

The view from up in the sky...worth it. You get to be a bird for the 5 minutes that you're floating down. If you do it, go somewhere really pretty. I think it would be awesome to jump in Hawaii, how pretty would that be?

It just sounds impressive, like yep, I went sky diving. Makes you sound way more adventurous than you are. But really does give you a sense of accomplishment. Like I did that, I didn't think I could and I did it, I can do anything if I set my mind to it.

It was an awesome experience that I wouldn't change for the world. You ask if I would do it again? I would, but I don't think I am the type that would go seek it out again. If someone said, hey I want to go sky diving for the first time would you go with me, I would without hesitation. But I don't think I would do it on my own just to do it. If you do want to go, check out your Living Socials and Groupons near you, that's how we got our tickets and it was so much cheaper.

If you made it this far, congrats! I leave you with the Vlog from the day. I didn't add in much sky diving stuff since I made a separate video for that.

Have a great Thursday, only one more day of work, woo hoo!
