June In Numbers

Another month gone and with that comes what my month looks like in numbers, thanks Deena for always hosting such a great link up! So here it goes.

4 - days spent with friends at the lake

1 - Cabin

7 - Children at said cabin

6 - Adults, it was a blast!

Because what would a group shot with these crazy kids be without Zombie picture?

1 - 1/2 Super Hero birthday thrown

6,000 - The amount of frosting flowers I did (okay probably an exaggeration, but it did feel like it.)

15 - The number of swimming lessons I took either Mini Fox or Baby Fox to

First lesson of the season, and his first time being with 3 other kids, we had been doing semi-private lessons. It was great to know that a) he was able to keep up with the other kids b) I get to save a bunch of money. Woo hoo!

The coach wanted to move everyone up to the next level in this class, but everyone had to pass certain tests, so he was teaching Baby Fox how to dolphin kick so he could move up the class, since everyone else already knew it. I was wondering why he was just concentrating on Baby Fox when they were doing this. Back.....

Forward....

And of course he rocked it and helped moved up the entire class, so proud of him!

3 - The number of birthday parties we went to (one of them being the one we hosted)

2400 - The amount of miles I drove

1 - Wedding attended, was so sad that we never got a picture with the bride and groom, boo!

6.5 - The number of months I went without a hair cut, it felt so good to finally get it cut!

4 - The number of inches he cut off

4 - The number of allergy shots I got...woo hoo! It was going to be 0 but they wanted me to come in twice this week, darn!

Have a great weekend! I'm off for the next 5 days, woo hoo! Mr. and I are both taking ditching work Tuesday and we're going to make a whole day of it, movies, lunch and shopping. Yay!

Create 28 Week 4 and Hair Challenge Week 26

Hello Foxy Fashion Friends! Today we're back at it with another week of Create 28. Go check out this weeks recap on The Blended Blog, everyone did such a fabulous job this week!

Since the 4th is right around the corner I decided to style a 4th of July outfit. Something fun and flirty. I got this from Old Navy a couple of years ago.

I just love this easy hair style, fun and perfect for a day of BBQ'ing and celebrating with friends and family.

This week was a little weak on the hair styles, just wasn't feeling it, I tried something on Sunday, but turns out I can't do it on myself...disappointing.

Last Wednesday I did my favorite half top knot.

Saturday morning I got my hair cut, it's been over 6 months and I was in desperate need!

He ended up taking off 4 inches, I love getting my hair cut, doesn't it just feel great?

That night I went to the wedding and wanted it all up. I love fun updos. I finally got to wear this outfit that I have shown you but have yet to wear out in public. I have been saving it for this wedding we went to this weekend.

In case you wanted to know, I lasted about 45 minutes in those shoes...

I know this is the last week of create 28 and you're probably wondering what is happening next for the link up? Well worry no more! The Blended Blog has come to save your summer wardrobe and make it fun! Here's the deal, take one thing from each category and create and outfit with it, it's that simple. How fun is that?

What's Up Wednesday... Tuesday

 What we're eating this week:

Eating really bad...oops, but this....yum!

Anyone try frozen custard before? It was delicious and nothing what I thought it would taste like...

What I'm reminiscing about:

Baby Fox's first day of preschool. He's going to be graduating in 3 weeks...then I'll have a kindergartener.

Walking him to school.

This time no tears, phew! He ran in and was so excited to start school again.

Then of course Yogurtland for after school celebration. A new tradition I started, and this time I'll get to join in and eat some, yay!

What I'm loving:

All things rompers, I want them all! Now if only I were 5 inches taller and could actually wearing all of them...so I'll just settle for one of the fitting!

What we've been up to:

Going to birthday parties and weddings. So much fun!

What I'm dreading:

Baby Fox starting Kindergarten in August, this is the real deal, school is here and he's going 5 days a week...no more just going to Disneyland because I want to take him...yikes!

What I'm working on:

Well it's not me, but Mini Fox is working on getting pool safe, so 5 days week for 10 minutes a day we're doing swim lessons. Coach says she's almost done and in half the time it normally takes!

What I'm excited about:

Now that our Create 28 is coming to an end on The Blended Blog, we've come up with a new Wednesday prompt for you foxy ladies. It's a pick and chose your outfit...pick one from each category, make outfit, post on Wednesday for the link up. Fun right?

What I'm watching/reading:

Game of Thrones! Going to go watch the Season Finale after I write this post...Mr. is sitting on the couch waiting for me...

What I'm listening to:

Currently a lot of spiderman videos from YouTube that Mr. plays on the way home from swim lessons if she has a good lesson...like this...

What I'm wearing:

Well see the Summer Style Series with The Blended Blog, but I did wear this to the wedding I went to on Saturday and got a ton of compliments.

What I'm doing this weekend:

We're heading out to my cousins for some cousin time, we are all spending the night and then going to head to my Uncles to watch fireworks. So much fun! I wrote all about our 4th of July tradition yesterday. Click here for that.

What I'm looking forward to next month:

We're headed to LEGOLAND for the night to celebrate my cousins little girl's birthday! There are 4 families going and it's going to be a blast! The kids are so excited they can hardly contain themselves!

What else is new:

I think that pretty much covers it...what else is new for you?

Just cause she's cute, we went to saw another cousins baby, she's 5 months old and just the cutest...Mr. the baby hog got her when she was sleeping...he was in heaven for about 20 minutes.

He only let me hold her when she was awake..

Let's Talk: Red White and Blue

Happy Almost 4th of July! Today Andrea and Erika are asking about anything red, white and blue. I wanted to do a 4th of July wreath, but time has escaped me and I didn't get to the store to buy anything. While at Hobby Lobby buying for my summer wreath I tried to buy the stuff for a 4th of July wreath but nothing was on sale and I refuse to buy when it's not on sale, because I know it will go on sale, it's just a matter of time...

Anyway, I thought I would talk about traditions. My Dad has 3 brothers, between the 4 brothers there are 12 kids, so I have a bunch of cousins, plus most of them (9 of the 12) are married now with kids of their own, so it's crazy trying to find a time when we can all get together. For whatever reason we've made 4th of July that time. It's hard with the holidays because everyone is switching off between Mom's side and Dad's side of the family, you know how it is. So probably 20 years ago the 4 brother and the 12 kids all went to Santa Barbara and stayed 3 nights, we would all stay in rooms next to each other and we would all watch the fireworks over the pier from our room or on the grassy part in front of our rooms

...well fast forward many, many years...2006 an one of the cousins got married 4th of July weekend, so that one was out, the following year another cousin got married the weekend before, actually at the same hotel we were staying at, but a week prior, so that year was out too. Then the following year it just got too expensive, so my Uncle decided a few years later to host 4th of July at his house, he gets amazing seats to watch the fireworks because he is on city council...so we all head there and most of the cousins go. It's such a blast. I love seeing my kids with my cousins kids, it's so sweet and reminds me so much of when I was growing up with my cousins, getting together every opportunity we got.
