What's In My...Junk Drawer

It's the first Tuesday of the month and you know what that means right? Okay you probably don't, it means we're getting nosey and looking into random places. Last month it was What's In My Purse, and this time it What's In My Junk Drawer. Fun right?

Our junk drawer is in our kitchen. It's funny when you move somewhere, you never know what drawer is going to become THAT drawer. For us it's the drawer right next to the dishwasher.

Let's take a peek inside.

Pretty messy right? The drawer could barely close, you know how it is, do the shuffle to get the drawer to close.

Taking it out, it looks MUCH worse...so much stuff!

Obviously you can't see everything from this view so let's explode it. BAM - there you go.

Let's look at some of it...there was a throw away camera on it, from 2010...yep 15 pictures were taken...I had asked a while ago to see if it was viable to develop they said no, yet I still kept the camera...it's now in the trash.

And can we talk about how many note pads there were? Holy cow, there was 6...those now reside in our kid arts and crafts bin.

The stuffed lion, came on a Dorothy doll my aunt gave to Mini Fox. One side is Dorothy, One side is the Scarecrow and then you flip it over and it becomes he witch on one side and the other side is the tin man, and then the lion was velcroed on there, that thing was going to get lost, so we took it off and put it in the drawer. So there it will stay for now. Where else would I put it?

There was a bunch of random cords in there...I had originally put them back in the drawer and was showing Mr. that I cleaned it up, and then he said you know we don't need any of those cords right? So he took them out and was going to throw them away, but convince him to put it somewhere else...just in case, you know, you just never know.

And the fridge magnet and the coupons from 2013...seriously this was long over due.

The old blue tooth...I don't even think there is a way to charge it, perhaps that is in that baggie, haha. It's in the trash now.

And now the drawer looks so much better. Here's the clean up.

A little less junky, in an ideal world I would have super cool Container Store dividers and such, but I don't, so this will have to do.

Thanks for helping me clean my junk drawer, now I can get it closed.

Join us next month for

Here's the line up.

Show and Tell: Your Tribe

Linking up with Andrea for a little Show and Tell, this time we're talking about our Tribe, and how we met them.

But first for those Americans Happy 4th of July! I hope you are all safe and enjoying family and friends.

I guess we'll start off with Mr.

First off, let's start by saying that he indulges in the copious amounts of selfies that I take. I mean every 5 seconds we stop to take a picture, and he only mildly rolls his eyes at me...haha, just kidding he's a hard roll. No really, he's super supportive of the blog and everything that I do. Last week we were just talking about blogging and how much I love that I'm documented the kids lives, etc, etc...and then said but who knows, I might not be doing it in a few years, and he looks at me and says, why wouldn't you? You love this. Yep that's right, I really do.

He's the best father and husband a woman could ask for.

Baby Fox

My oldest, who made me a Mama first. Coming a bit early on Christmas morning, shocking us all, but I wouldn't want it any other way. He's the sweetest most caring, loving person I know. Makes this Mama proud when his friends parents come up to me to say, I love when "So and So" play with Baby Fox, he plays so well, and makes them a little less crazy. He loves his sister something fierce and I have no doubt he would walk through fire for her.

Mini Fox

Her personality is just like her birth, fast and does she wants when she wants! Even though she can be stubborn at times (she gets that from me...although I always tell Mr. it's from him), she is the sweetest thing. She loves her brother, who she calls Coco, and would do anything for him. Seriously, when Mr. and Baby Fox are play wrestling/fighting, you'll see Mini Fox storming with a sword yelling "Get of my Broder (brother)" and she wacks Mr. with the sword. She has no fear and will try anything.
Parents

Family

My brother who is just 9 months younger than me. We grew up in the same circle of friends and didn't do anything without each other. When we went off to different colleges, he supported me and came to visit often (helped that his best friend was at the same school). I don't think he could love these two kids any more than he does. He the uncle the runs around with them for hours and keeps up with them, they love it.

This lady on the left, my sister is the BEST sister and Aunt anyone could ask for. She is always the life of the party, can make anything that is dull and boring seem like the BEST idea ever. She's such a harder worker, and a good example to my kids of hard work and dedication. She loves the kids like her own and entertains them like no one else can. I am thankful for everyday she's in it.

While I'm at it, let's talk about my Mom (middle lady, duh). She really did choose me as her kid (story for a different day), and loves her family with all her heart. I am so happy that her and my Dad moved just down the street to be near us...let's face it because of the kids. I love that she and my dad are cultivating a relationship with them.  They take them on one-on-one outings a couple times a month and they get to see them almost on the daily.  My mom supports me in all I do, and has always supported me. I am lucky that she chose me to be her kid, every single day.

My Dad, what is there to say, he always goes above and beyond to help out the kids and us. When Mr. is away he sleeps over so I can go to work at 5am. It warms my heart to see the kids to go either one of my parents when they are hurt, unless it's a really bad one, then it's me, but for the minor stuff, they go running to my parents. Ampa (Baby Fox couldn't say Grandpa, so it came out as Ampa), He always comes up with fun outings for the kids when they do get one-on-one time, liking going to the bird store to listen to the birds sing, or going to some random zoo he found out about in the middle of no where. He is always on the look out for fun things for the kids to do.

This was at Easter Mass, and Mini Fox just wanted Amap to hold her, so stinkin sweet.

Cousins

Since this picture we've had 5.5 (one is due in November) more cousins join us. But I love my cousins, I am so lucky that all of them are still living in the Southern California, when we can we get together. We try to get together a few times a year. We all grew up like siblings and we hope that we can carry on the tradition with our children. I couldn't ask for a better family and cousin support system.

Girlfriends

These ladies are the people I met when I was a new mom with Baby Fox and I need a friend. I had just moved to a place I didn't really know anyone and they were my first Mommy friends. They just get me, we get each other and are each other's support system. I am so happy that our kids get along so well, and I see many, many vacations together in our future.

Theses ladies, I met a little later. Actually the lady next to me, in the back, I met at Nordstrom and she's the one that introduced me to everyone else. We are a tribe that support each other and we go on MNO (just had one last week) and can complain to each other about everything. I love these ladies and am so happy that they are in my life. Plus all of our kids get along really well, which is always a bonus. I don't know what I would do without them!

Blogging Friends

We started out with a love for shopping, and it's become so much more then that. Not everyone is in this picture, but let's just pretend. Each one of them is so supportive and encouraging when you need it, and even when you don't need it. They are so thoughtful and I love that while we met through the blogging world even if we didn't blog I know that I could still call them friend. I can't wait for next year when we get to meet up again! We talk about it on the daily and I love our little blog that we started together, The Blended Blog.

Friday Favorites # 76

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Yay for long weekends, this is my off Friday, and then we have Monday off and I decided to take Tuesday off, because we won't be get getting home till late on Monday night and no way I am waking up at 4:30am to go to work! Yikes...so why not take the day off? So 5 days off, here I come! :)

In case you missed it on the blog this week:

Thursday: June in Numbers

We are all about the swim lessons over here, trying to get Mini Fox pool safe and Baby Fox is learning all of the strokes. I'm so proud of both of them and how much they have accomplished!

This deserves a post of it's own...So that wedding we went to on Saturday. It was for a policeman, so naturally there were all of his policeman buddies, so what did they do? They created a donut bar. Seriously, how awesome is this? His sister made the donut holders and they even went donut shopping for the best donuts around town. I was so full from dinner that I couldn't eat another bite, BUT...we took some home for the kids. I almost stole them from the kids they were that good.  I wish I had taken more, darn!

Other wedding photos. I just thought this was the cutest shot of the flower girl looking at the bride and all of the bridesmaids, so darn cute!

Just as the bride and groom were walking down the isle, these geese flew over head in a way that it seemed like it was planned. Most likely they were just scared when we all started to clap and cheer, but it was perfect.

How gorgeous is the isle?

They are just the sweetest couple and I hope they have many, many years of happiness together!

Some other randoms from the week:

We went to visit my cousin and her baby and here he is Mr. the baby hog...he snatched up the chance to hold a sleeping baby. He told me...if she's still sleeping when we need to go to the party, I will take Uber there, I am not giving her up...hehe. Luckily she woke up just as we needed to leave.

Just cause...those eyelashes...

Oh yea and I got her for 2 seconds before we left...I forget how tiny they are!

I tried to do this to my hair for Sunday, but turns out it's SUPER hard to do on yourself, so I convinced my little cousin...actually I didn't have to convince her at all, I just said hey want me to do something cool to your hair? She practically jumped in my lap. So cool right? Wish it had worked out on my hair, instead it ended up in a ponytail and I come down stairs and Mr. says...it took you 30 minutes to put your hair in a ponytail,  haha.

With Mini Fox having swim lessons Monday-Friday it leaves little time to workout after work. But Mr. was able to come on this day so I got a few squats, lunges and burpees in while we were waiting for her turn. Girls gotta, do what a girls gotta do right? Wednesday I actually got to go to the gym while Mr. took the kids to swim class, was so happy to workout.

And what is quickly becoming our Tuesday tradition, Mr. has been gone the last two Tuesdays, and we have to drive past In and Out to get home...We sent this picture to Mr. to show him what he was missing.

I just love Mini Fox holding up her hamburger in back there

As always some Videos that I've been enjoying this week.

Just get prepared for the next 2 months for me to be obsessed over the Olympics. This routine, so perfect, we are going to kill it at the Olympics, Go TEAM USA!

This girl, wow. She gives me chills.

This is pretty cool too, I'm thinking, how many takes did they have to do to get those clapping hands right, remember doing that as a kid? How did you really go for...maybe 30 seconds before messing up? They went for 4 minutes!

June In Numbers

Another month gone and with that comes what my month looks like in numbers, thanks Deena for always hosting such a great link up! So here it goes.

4 - days spent with friends at the lake

1 - Cabin

7 - Children at said cabin

6 - Adults, it was a blast!

Because what would a group shot with these crazy kids be without Zombie picture?

1 - 1/2 Super Hero birthday thrown

6,000 - The amount of frosting flowers I did (okay probably an exaggeration, but it did feel like it.)

15 - The number of swimming lessons I took either Mini Fox or Baby Fox to

First lesson of the season, and his first time being with 3 other kids, we had been doing semi-private lessons. It was great to know that a) he was able to keep up with the other kids b) I get to save a bunch of money. Woo hoo!

The coach wanted to move everyone up to the next level in this class, but everyone had to pass certain tests, so he was teaching Baby Fox how to dolphin kick so he could move up the class, since everyone else already knew it. I was wondering why he was just concentrating on Baby Fox when they were doing this. Back.....

Forward....

And of course he rocked it and helped moved up the entire class, so proud of him!

3 - The number of birthday parties we went to (one of them being the one we hosted)

2400 - The amount of miles I drove

1 - Wedding attended, was so sad that we never got a picture with the bride and groom, boo!

6.5 - The number of months I went without a hair cut, it felt so good to finally get it cut!

4 - The number of inches he cut off

4 - The number of allergy shots I got...woo hoo! It was going to be 0 but they wanted me to come in twice this week, darn!

Have a great weekend! I'm off for the next 5 days, woo hoo! Mr. and I are both taking ditching work Tuesday and we're going to make a whole day of it, movies, lunch and shopping. Yay!
