Friday Favorites: Life Recap

Hi Foxy Friends. I going to be better about blogging, at least try to be. I figured for my first Friday back from vacation, I'm going to recap our year...so much has happened since July that I never got around the blogging, so I figured I'm just going to dump it on you and move on. So let's get started!

July

We went on a family vacation to Hawaii! The first long plane trip for the kids, and they did great. We spent the 3/4 of our time with one set of family friends, then met up with some other friends who happened to be going at the same time for the latter half of the trip. It was a blast and the kids constantly ask when we are going back!

Of course matching shirts.

Yep always matching shirts, always. Also note: To get this photo, we had to yell and threaten kids to not get wet before snapping the picture. haha!

Also in July I went to a 40th birthday in Vegas with some friends, has a blast!

August

Mini Fox went to the coolest theater birthday party where they put on a play in 2 hours, we dropped off and then came back and they had a show for us. Super cute.

Baby Fox started 3rd grade and Mini Fox started Kindergarten...they are getting so big.

I turned 40! Mr. and I went to a nice dinner, party was a little later!

September

Celebrated my 40th with our friends and family. It couldn't have been any more fun and I felt so loved with how many people helped me bring in a new decade.

Cousins

Junior high friends

Kid's Baseball/school/church friends

Mom's group friends

The only thing I really wanted was to get a group photo...so happy it happened!

Mini Fox turned 6...where does the time go?!

I went to Canada to meet up with some of my best Blogging friends, Deena, Lana, Abbie, Alison, Shaunacey and Christy.

We did a birthday for Mini Fox towards the end of the month, because of everything else going on. She went with me to pick up her cake, she's so cute.

She picked out the dinosaurs on the cake and put them where she wanted them.

What's better than a Chuck E Cheese birthday with all of your best friends? Nothing according to this gal.

Some random kids thrown in there too...who are those kids?

October

Had our big Gala for Thomas House, after months of planning it finally happened, we raised a lot for a good cause.

Baby Fox started cotillion, cutest thing ever.

If you have to do Pumpkin Patch fundraisers it's better to do it with friends.

This kid got his blue with green stripe belt, he's worked so hard.

Went to Seattle to see my cousin play in the University of Washington game, had such a blast visiting family on both sides of the family.

Mini Fox had a Halloween parade, so stinking cute.

Baby Fox had a word parade (he was the word Lightening) and a party.

Halloween, our 9th one with our friends, time flies when you're having fun.

November

2nd birthday party for my cousins kid, love seeing family.

Birthday girl is the cutest.

Night soccer, the girls did great, perhaps all of our games should be at night.

We bought some kids theater tickets and Baby Fox couldn't go, so we took Mini Fox's bestie.

Went to a ride fundraiser for our cousin, glad we could be thee to support them.

Mini Fox had a Thanksgiving performance.

Went to see Frozen 2. Then I realized I bought tickets for the wrong day...and we had already missed the show...darn.

. The kids took it really well and we ended up going two days later.

After 9 months, we finally got to see Frozen 2. Baby Fox and Mr. had a bet on what the plot was...Baby Fox won and Mr. had to buy him an iPad.

Thanksgiving with family and friends was awesome.

Ended the month with Friendsgiving.

December

MNO, much needed, it's been too long.

Took Mini Fox to see the a kids Nutcracker, amazing experience to take Mini Fox to.

Did some Christmas things around town with friends, such a fun evening, with dinner, garden walks and Santa.

Friends Christmas party no kids, YES please!

Bought a new car, woo hoo!

Mini Fox had a Holiday performance, her teacher put this on, all by herself because the other teachers didn't want to do it, amazing Kinder teacher.

Celebrated parents 49th wedding anniversary.

Cousin Christmas party.

WB tour to see the Gilmore Girls set, I can die happy.

And we got to sit on the famous couch and went to another famous set. So much fun.

Christmas time is the most wonderful time of the year.

Wouldn't be Christmas without a balloon drop for Baby Fox's birthday. And some cake.

Mini Fox decided she wanted to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels...she rocked it.

If you're still with me thanks for staying and catching up on everything we've been up to the last 6 months. Here's to another year and maybe blogging more. I do think part of my problem is that I'm having issues getting my photos to load from my phone to my computer and I'm also having issues with Google photos loading directly from my phone...so the two ways I usually load photos doesn't work all the time...so I just gave up trying. haha. I'll do better...maybe.

Peek At My Beside Table

Hello Foxy Friends! Once again Mix and Match Mama and  A Little Bit of Everything is hosting their Let's Look At...series. Today we're taking about our Bedside Table...I'm taking these pictures exactly how I found it when I got home from work to write this post...so be warned, it's messy.

Hmmm...the drawers of my bedside table are pretty messy...we'll get to that later...but on the top is: A lamp, my old school alarm, coaster for my water I NEED every night, and a glass of water, a candle we got at our engaged encounter 15 years ago, crafts that the kids have made me, so many hair ties I can't count, and I wonder where they go (they are right here, note to self, stop buying new ones).

Inside the cubby are a bunch of books I want to read, are in the process of reading or just haven't found a home anywhere else in my house.

First drawer is a bunch of random things, that again have no home anywhere else in my house.

Second drawer are things I barely wear. Slips, spanx, and random other things I probably bought for our honeymoon (pink polka dot), haha.

So there you have it, the unfiltered look at my beside table. If you want to join in on the fun, here are the prompts, they post the second Wednesday of the month.

, Hello, 2020!

Sentence A Day: December Edition

Hey Foxy Friends! First post of the New Year, makes sense that it is Sentence a Day. Thank you Rebecca for coming up with this idea and letting us continue it each month! So here is everything I did this month, one sentence at a time. Also sorry for the lack of photos the first half of the month, Google photos is not behaving and I'm over it right now...maybe I'll figure it out later and come back to add them.

1 - Church followed by a birthday party for a friend and then relaxed the rest of the night, should have decorated for Christmas, but didn't...ah well.

2 - Normal day, piano lessons and working out while at the lessons.

3 - Got in a workout while the kids were at church, I'm sensing a trend.

4 - Much needed girls night out...and the guy taking the picture, could not for the life of him take a picture.

5 - Karate class and I went home to get a quick at home workout.

6 - Finally dinner with our Friday friends, has been almost a month!

7 - Super busy day, saw the Nutcracker in the morning, then went to a birthday party, followed by seeing lights with friends, super exhausted but oh so fun.

8 - Birthday party for Mini Fox, which Mr. and Baby Fox went and volunteered to make lunches for the homeless, then we finally decorated for Christmas, about time!

9 - Quick at home workout then took the kids to piano class and had some friends over for craft night.

10 - Baby Fox has Cotillion, it is the cutest thing, they played lots of games and I think the kids had a blast.

11 - Yay, finally back at my  workout class I love.

12 - Got in a quick run while Baby Fox was at Karate.

13 - Quick at home workout, PTA holiday lunch/meeting, errands, filmed a video with my mom, then hosted Poker night at our house.

14 - Kids went and spent the night at my parents so Mr. and I could go to a Christmas party and not have to worry about being home before my parents want to go to bed...we got home at 1am.

15 - Church and then went to a friends kid's birthday party, fun to hang with friends.

16 - I got a new CAR!!!

17 - Love getting my workout in while the kids are at church, butt kicking workout and done at 5:15, yes!

18 - Baby Fox's dojo gave us a private lesson because we are going to miss class tomorrow, super nice of them.

19 - Mini Fox's Holiday performance, followed by Baby Fox's Holiday party and then Mini Fox, 's Holiday party, then anniversary dinner with my parents, so fun and we discovered a new restaurant that is nice and kid friendly.

20 - Fun date night with friends, so nice of my friends mom to watch all 4 kids for us while we went out.

21 - Cousin Christmas party, one of the best days of the Christmas season.

22 - Over 500 cookies made, Mini Fox was the BEST helper, she's hired!

23 - BEST DAY EVER, went on the WB tour and then got to see the set of Gilmore Girls, my life is complete.

So fun to sit on the famous couch, BTW, it's hard plastic...not soft AT ALL!

24 - Christmas Eve mass followed by Christmas tacos (what we do every year) then gift exchange and getting ready for Santa.

25 - Happy Birthday Baby Fox and Merry Christmas, 2 families got sick for Christmas dinner, boo, but still had 18 people, prime rib, yum.

26 - Saying goodbye to Grandma and Uncle N, and Uncle Monkey was suppose to come but road closures made it impossible for him to get here.

27 - Saw Star Wards movie while waiting for my brother to get here, should have taken 4.5 hours, but 9 hours later Uncle Monkey got here, woo hoo!

28 - Mini Fox woke up and decided today was the day she was going to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels.

29 - Took Mini Fox to a big park with lots of space to really get riding her bike down, she's doing awesome!

30 - So Mini Fox decided she could go down a dirt hill on day 3 of riding her bike, she bailed hard (over the handle bar kind) and got up smiling asking to go again, X-Games here she comes.

31 - Great night with friends celebrating both the East and West Coast New Years.

Join us next month, we post on the first Tuesday of each month. Thanks for hanging in there while I sporadically blog here and there. One day I'll get it together.
