Halloween Decorations

Hi Foxy Friends! Long time no see? I have all these ideas and I take pictures or videos and then never follow through. One day I'll have it together, but until then here are my Halloween decorations. I decorated my mantel for Easter...and then took the bunny stuff off and tried to make it Spring-ish, and then it just sat there until this weekend. Oops. I realize now how much I love having a decorated mantel so I'm going to be better and decorate it more. Okay so here's my mantel.

But here's the process of getting there, thought I'd show you what it looks like for a good 2 hours before I finish...I thought this was bad and took a picture, but then realized after we had unpacked it all that I was missing a box...oops!

Then it turned into this...

The candles in the hurricanes are these ones. They are remote control timer (I have these but so many more have come out since I bought them 3 years ago, like these (which are wider than what I have) or these) you can set them for 4, 6, 8 or 10 hours. It's pretty awesome to have the lights come on and not have to remember to do it. The orange string lights are also on a plug timer (similar to this one, but this one works with Alexa and Google Home, which is pretty cool, might have to switch mine out)

I had enough decorations to also fix up the piano.

The tea lights are also a timer, but they don't have a remote, it's 6 hours on, 18 hours off, so you have to turn them on at the start of when you want them on, which is sort of nice you don't have to keep track of a remote control.

I found the little skull voltive holders at Michael's the other weekend. the sticks I found at Hobby Lobby last year when they were doing their get rid of all Halloween in November. They still had tags on them. The pumpkins are from the dollar section at Target. When you are doing your garland, try to find two different textures and layer them together. Gives it more dimension and something to look at and fill the gaps in a bit.

Mini Fox decorated this all on her own. She found a bunch of left over stuff, mostly the few Fall decorations I have. Not sure where the rest of it is...hmmm...I thin she did a pretty dang good job!

Then I made this porch sign last weekend. I'm obsessed with making them. Yet again another post/video I have made, but yet to edit and put together...one day it will happen. But I did make a Tik Tok, go like it and say hi, will make my day!

Forgot about the bats, I made them on my Circut with removable vinyl. Mini Fox kept insisting we needed more, so I kept making more...

Then I have ONE Fall thing...usually I put the leaves and stuff under it, but Mini Fox wanted them for the front table. I still like it though. Got that sign at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, it was sitting at the check out line, someone didn't want it, their trash is my treasure right?

How have you been decorating for Halloween or Fall? We aren't sure yet what we're doing for Halloween, but we did pick up some costumes at Costco, can't beat those prices, especially since we don't know if we're going out or not. What are your plans for Halloween?

What's In My Purse

Hello Foxy Friends! I thought it would be fun to talk about what's in my purse. I grabbed it from by the front door and started filming. This is my purse, it was my 40th birthday gift from Mr. that I got to pick out in Canada when I went with my girlfriends.

I've paired down what I keep in my purse a lot, I used to carry my day planner in there, everywhere I went, but I also take a backpack with me to work, which holds my planner and my lunch and water. It was too much trying to stuff it all in my purse. It's working out much better for me.

Here is a video in case you would rather me talk about what's in my purse.

So let's talk about what's in my purse. The first are these two pouches. The pink one has seen better days.

The first pouch came with this purse and holds my car keys, work badge and for some reason my AAA card is in there. Also the whole keyless entry to the car, throws me off, I spend more time now trying to remember the last purse I used which is where my keys are. Need to figure out a better system.

I took my work badge out for privacy reasons, same with turning my AAA card over.

The pink pouch came with another purse, and it's just traveled from purse to purse. This pouch has random things in it, mostly a catch all that has the things I don't want floating on the bottom of my purse. Yep you see that correctly, that's an iPod Touch there circ. 2007. I was so excited to get it and thought that the screen was so big...not so much any more!

Of course got some Lipsense in there, my favorite pen, can't get better than 12 pends for under $6. Then there are pencils that are randomly in there from the kids. Mini Fox likes to have an array of writing utensils in case she wants to doodle.

These don't need much explaining, but those sunglasses are awesome and are under $15. I have to have cheap ones, I loose them too quickly to get the expensive kind.

I have no idea why there are so many tissue packs in my purse. Well, I do, I bought them and I was going to distribute them in my car and other purses and the kids backpacks, but it ended up in my purse and not distributed. Oops, maybe I'll go do that now. Not sure if you can tell but they are super thin packaging which I really like.

Random papers in my purse, a play bill from my kids school Lion King Jr., some church documents and some medical bills that I've paid and I stuck in my purse so I could fill out the forms to get paid back through HSA.

Then of course my wallet, which has my credit cards, cash, gym membership card, allergy shot card check in, etc.

Then at the very bottom of the purse were these toys Mini Fox got at the pizza place near our house when we went there the other night with friends.

So there you have it, everything in my purse. What is the most random thing in your purse?

California Winter Wardrobe

Hello Foxy Friends! Once again Mix and Match Mama and  A Little Bit of Everything is hosting their Let's Look At...series. Today we're talking about my winter wardrobe...which in reality means my everyday wardrobe because let's face it, winter for us lasted about 1 week, and now it's back to warmer temps. I bought some faux leather leggings awhile back have yet to find the perfect shirt to go with it...so my goal this week was to find something to go with it, here is everything I bought.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

So I was ordering some new shirts, and I accidentally ordered everything twice...how does one do that? Well I put everything in my cart on my computer, then I couldn't get Rakuten* to work, so I went to my phone to order, but there was nothing in my cart...so I added it all back in and ordered...well turns out I ordered from my computer as well, oops! So now I have a bunch of stuff to return when it all starts arriving. Anyway, enough story, here's what I got, which I think will be perfect for this Winter/Spring transition for us, currently weather is mid 60's for reference.

Outfit 1

I bought these leggings and haven't really found the perfect top to go with them, so I am set on trying to buy things to go with them. Makes sense right? I think this is going to be the perfect outfit.

Outfit 2

I think this outfit would be super cute with these leggings too, add this jacket for a more edgy look.

On my hunt for finding a tunic, I also bought these, they are light weight for the cooler evenings and not too heavy to wear during the day as well.

1 / 2 / 3

Outfit 3

I can see a more causal outfit with the cream top, pairing it with some leopard loafers to finish off the look.

I also got some other things that aren't necessarily winter, but were cute.

And then there are the sweaters that I can't stop raving about. The fleece sweater is so warm and comfy, if you live somewhere it is cold, it's a must buy. Warm and cozy, I won't get much more use out of it as the weather is starting to change, but I'm going to wear it every chance I get before it's too hot to wear it.

If you want to join in on the fun, here are the prompts, they post the second Wednesday of the month.

, Hello, 2020!

* Rakuten, formally known as Ebates is the best. I'm already shopping online so why not make some money.  You go to Rakuten and enter the store you are shopping at, Macy's, Old Navy, Sephora...etc. Then you click the shop here, and you get cash back, sometimes it's 2% of your total, sometimes it's 5%, sometimes I've seen it go up to 10%. Since I've been using it, I've gotten back over $500. Free money for shopping, yes please! This is not sponsored, just really like Rakuten, if you sign up with my link and spend $25 on any of the partnered sites, you get $10 back and I get $25 for the referral. We both win!

Peek At My Beside Table

Hello Foxy Friends! Once again Mix and Match Mama and  A Little Bit of Everything is hosting their Let's Look At...series. Today we're taking about our Bedside Table...I'm taking these pictures exactly how I found it when I got home from work to write this post...so be warned, it's messy.

Hmmm...the drawers of my bedside table are pretty messy...we'll get to that later...but on the top is: A lamp, my old school alarm, coaster for my water I NEED every night, and a glass of water, a candle we got at our engaged encounter 15 years ago, crafts that the kids have made me, so many hair ties I can't count, and I wonder where they go (they are right here, note to self, stop buying new ones).

Inside the cubby are a bunch of books I want to read, are in the process of reading or just haven't found a home anywhere else in my house.

First drawer is a bunch of random things, that again have no home anywhere else in my house.

Second drawer are things I barely wear. Slips, spanx, and random other things I probably bought for our honeymoon (pink polka dot), haha.

So there you have it, the unfiltered look at my beside table. If you want to join in on the fun, here are the prompts, they post the second Wednesday of the month.

Favorite Binge Shows

Hello Foxy Friends! I thought this was a great prompt as Mr. and I have definitely been binge watching some shows this summer.  Today I'm linking up with Shay and Erica for their Let's Look At series, see all previous posts here.

Let's Look At...

So here we go:

We just started the second season of The Sinner Monday night and it definitely did not disappoint, happy that they didn't ruin it. So good, and we can't wait to get to the bottom of the mystery.

We just finished season 3 of 3% over the weekend, again another GREAT show, and season 3 had us just as engaged as season 1. This is a subtitled show, make sure to NOT do the English dubbed as it translates best in the original language, Portuguese.

I used to watch this show back in the day, but then the second kid came and all those shows I used to watch went out the window. I never finished Once Upon A Time, so I'm watching those episodes I never watched. Currently on season 5.

On the let's finish up series that I didn't get to because I had kids, I watched the rest of The Originals too. That was a good series. I was contemplating going back and watching Vampire Diaries too, in case you didn't know Originals is a spin off of Vampire Diaries.

The whole reason I finished watching The Originals was so I could watch the Spin off called Legacies. I don't have cable and I'm going to be really sad that I have to wait till next summer to watch it, it ended on a cliff hanger. Hopefully Hulu gets it! Fingers crossed.

Wondering when I watch all these shows? At the gym, I was out of lifting weights for about 3 months, so instead of not going to the gym at all, I went and walked at a slow pace on the treadmill, I figured that was better than nothing? So I got to watch a lot of shows while walking.

Another show Mr. and I binged watched was a Netflix series called Another Life. Really good if you like Sci-Fi. If you didn't catch it, Mr. and I watch a lot of Sci-Fi.

I think that's all for now. Shows that we don't binge watch but do watch, is Handmaids Tale (can't wait for the season finale this week!), at least I think it's the last episode. We did watch Game of Thrones, what did you think of that ending? I didn't love it, but didn't hate it as much as some people did. Of course Grey's Anatomy, Blackish, Fresh off the Boat, and Modern Family are all in our weekly rotation.

Any shows we need to binge watch?

Let's Looks At: What's In Your Suitecase

Linking up with Shay and Erica for their Let's Look At series, see all previous posts here.

I'm so excited, we're going on vacation in less than a month! Here is what we're planning on bringing with us to HAWAII!!!

| ONE |  Snorkel Set

Yes it takes up space in the suitcase, but we would much rather have our own than borrow one, the thought of putting my mouth on something someone else has...shivers.

| TWO | Swim Suits

I've showed you in this post which swim suits I bought for the season. I'm loving all of them!

1- Top/Bottom / 2 /3 / 4 - Top/Bottom

| THREE | Swim Suit Cover Ups

I am wearing swim suit #1 from above in these pictures.

One / Two / Three

| FOUR |  Floppy Hat

I personally have this hat, but it's no longer available, so this one is a close second. I also like a good baseball cap that looks like its been through it all, but hasn't...this brand has a lot of good ones.

| FIVE | Sun Screen

Of course what's going into the sun without some sunscreen. This is my favorite for the face.

And I like this for the whole body.

| SIX | The kids need some new suits, so I got them these:

I like to try and get the kids bright colored things so I can see them easier when we are in a public pool.

Boy: Trunks

I also bought these flip flops and this rash guard

Girl: Suit / Rash Guard

I might have also gotten girl this bathing suit and these flip flops.

| SEVEN | Packing Cubes

I'm not sure about these, but they have been in my later cart for a few months, not sure if I should do it or not. When we pack our bags...okay when I pack our bags, I always distribute everyones clothes into both suitcases, especially if we are checking our luggage...perhaps I will divide up the clothes into days instead of one persons belongings together...hmmm...that's a thought...so how do you use your packing cubes?

These have patterns which I like, what's not to like about foxes? hehe.

These have over 1000 4.5 star reviews and comes with three laundry bags, which I really like...

These come with more packing bags and also have really good reviews.

What to do what to do...HELP! I have a few more weeks to decide! But wait...this one has almost 3000 5 star reviews, now that is saying something...and now you can see why I haven't actually bought any yet.

| EIGHT | Kindle

Gone are the days when you bring 5 books with you, now I have the Kindle. As much as I miss having a real book, I do like the ease of having a Kindle.

| NINE |  iPad with Case

Of course for the long flights we have the iPad and a kid friendly case.

| TEN |  Flowy Dress

I bought this dress on Amazon, and it was such a great price and it's perfect for those warm Hawaiian nights. When I showed my friends this dress, two of them bought it within the week and both love it.
