7 Amazon Must Have Items To Make Life Better

Hi Foxy Friends! Hey twice in one week! Maybe this is a trend? But I've recently bought a few things on Amazon, that I think you all HAVE to have. I mean it, really, you'll thank me later.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

First up is this thing...how much do you hate having to try and scrape those last little bits of lotion or shampoo? You really want to throw it away, but also don't want to waste that last little bit...not going to give $0.25 to the man! It comes with different fittings so it can fit an array of bottle neck sizes and then you screw the three legs on top. This is a MUST buy!

Second up is these shelves. We plug in our phones not in our bedroom, but in our bathroom. Close enough that we can get to them if we need to, but not in our bedroom, so we're not distracted by texts or calls when we should be sleeping. Since it's in our bathroom, we use these short cables, we found that since the plug is so close to our sink, they get wet and then stop working. We had them on these short acrylic risers, but accidentally bought the previously mentioned short cables and it no longer reached to the riser. Oops. Enter my solution of those amazing shelves. No screws involved, perfect! Since it came with two I added a cute little plant I bought from a local lady and every time I see it, it makes me ridiculously happy.

If you don't have a succulent lady around you, these fake ones are pretty good.

Now that it is getting darker early, I decided I need to buy some sort of reflector when I'm walking. I walk while the kids are doing their sports things, and on Thursday it means that I am walking on a busy street. I mean, I'm on a side walk, but need to cross one major street. So I bought these arm bands, the light up, or they can blink and I feel like people can see me better. You can't tell from this picture, but they are pretty bright. And it comes with a spare battery.

I don't know where this has been all my life. I used to have a timer, but it was analog and it made a ticking noise that drove us all crazy. I might be the last person on earth to discover them, but I think it's life changing. Okay that was dramatic, but I REALLY, REALLY like it! So those lights there on the mantle, is on a smart plug! I set it from my phone, I can turn it on and off whenever I want, or set a timer. So now it goes on at 4:30pm and goes off at 11pm. We come home from sports and it's just on.

Speaking of timers, I LOVE these tea lights. They are timed as well, but they cycle through a 24 hour period, being on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours. So you have to turn them on for the first time when you want them to start being on, so at 4:30pm turn them on, then they'll go on everyday at 4:30pm. When they automatically come on while we're gone and I come home and see them on, it just makes me smile.

Of course I also have pillar candles on timers too. Seriously it's these small things that just make your house feel like a home. These candles have a remote control, and you can set how long you want them to be on, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours. Again, the first time you use them, you have to set them at the time you want to start. I like starting all my candles at 4:30 as we enter into time change.

Those hearts (not so scary, I know), Mini Fox made for Valentine's Day for her brother, and she put them there so he would have decorations while he practiced piano, so I didn't have the heart to take them down.

One more thing and it's something that I bought but have no received yet is this skirt. This may or may not be part of my outfit for family pictures. Really hoping it works out!

Friday Favorites - 1st Communion And Some New Winged Friends

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Excited that it's the weekend work has been busy lately, so looking forward to the weekend for sure.

Something I'm reminiscing about:

A friend lent us this toy box that her father built for her kids and grandkids and since her grandkids were grown she gave it to us, and this past weekend she asked for it back so she could give it to her newest grandsons, who I believe is about the same age as Baby Fox was when we took this photo.

Putting all of the stickers on it.

And this past weekend....he's getting so big. *Not me in the corner silently crying*

Anyway, onto Friday Favorites.
We'll start with the biggest thing, which happened last Sunday, Mini Fox received her First Holy Communion. We are so proud of her and all of her dedication the last couple of years. At our church they do a few kids at each mass the month of May, so we signed up with a good friend for May 2nd at 9am. It was the first time we had been back to our church. We went once to my parents church to Easter, but the first time receiving communion since before the pandemic started, it was so nice to be back.

I had to make us some matching masks of course.

This is a Father Jimmy from Notre Dame, who flew out to surprise our friends. It was a great surprise and he was a welcomed part of Mass.

And actually genuine smile from Baby Fox, don't get those very often. He was so excited and happy for Mini Fox.

Not sure how we missed getting a picture of the 4 of us...hmmm...

This girl earned her long awaited yellow belt. We finally felt comfortable letting her go in person to take the test and she rocked it. We're so proud of her.

I love watching this kid grow and learn a sport that he loves so much. Watching 2 games a weeks, we get a lot of watch time in, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Also watching football games is fun too. He's 6 days a week in sports and loves it. Although says that next time he only wants to do one sport. We signed him up for both thinking one of them has to work out, and then both of them were a go, so we went with it.

So whenever Mr. leaves for a trip, something always goes wrong with the house...this time? He left for 3 days and my closet fell apart. We werent home when it happened, we would to have loved to hear what that sounded like!

Had to empty it all out so that we could get it fixed...yep that's a mattress on our floor. Remember when I told you we got a new mattress? Well we hated it and ended up returning it, back to Costco it went. I think we figured out we are Spring Mattress people. We've tried Sleep Number bed, returned it, and now a foam one, and returned that too.

Anyway, back to the closet, shelf is fixed and things are all put away, phew. It was giving my anxiety how messy everything was in our room for a bit. But now all the shoes and dresses are organized, so that's good.

Other things that happened:

We have some new friends. Hopefully we get to see them turn into Butterflies.

This catepillar was walking up this wall, so Mini Fox decided she was going to sit and watch it for awhile.

He made it to the ceiling, and is now a beautiful green Chrysalis. Now we wait.

And one more friend, so three in all. Fingers crossed we see some nature happening.

Speaking of nature, did I tell you I am a farmer now? Looks things are growing! The things on the right are carrots, and we just got gifted from Mini Fox's teacher some seedlings. That I planted and now has many more leaves then it did when it came to me and I haven't killed it yet...so consider me Farmer Sarah.

Eating our carrots.

Our neighbor has a huge garden and let the kids come over to harvest all of their potatoes.

They wanted me to cook them separate from the ones that they pulled up. So I did.

With baseball comes a lot of grass stains and dirt. In case you wanted to know how I get all the stains out with little to no effort, I use this. It got this grass/dirt out of Baby Fox's pants. Looks like it also comes in a spray bottle form too, haven't tried that one but I'm sure it works just as great. I put it on rub it in for a few seconds then gather my other laundry and wash as normal. I do make sure the stain gets out before drying. Once you dry it in the dryer it's harder to get stains out, so I check and if I need to do it again, and wash before I dry.

Last week I told you about my favorite jean shorts, I might have bought them in black this week, still waiting to get them in the mail. But I am sure they are going to be just as great. If I like them just as much, I'll probably get a light wash color, then I'll be done getting new sorts for the season. haha.

Alright I think that is all I have to share this week. Hope you all have a great weekend!
