Friday Favorites #17

Hello Friday! You have never been so welcomed, okay that's not true, every Friday I welcome with open arms, haha. Especially the ones I have off. But here are some of my favorite things this week:

This face

She's so girly, but then also likes to play in dirt, love that!

Cape + Running away from Mama trying to get a picture = perfect afternoon

He's chewing gum
I just ordered this last week, and it came in the mail and it was awesome! It really does have a chocolate scent. As soon as I opened it Baby Fox wanted to help me use everything in it. Yes Baby Fox let's play make-up, Mini Fox was sleeping and Mr. was still at work, perfect.

I got it from HSN. I've actually never bought anything from them, it was the deal of the day and I got everything for the price of the palatte...good deal in my opinion. I had been wanting to get it, so give me just the slightest deal and I'm in.

The Mascara is crazy heavy, I'm not talking about the product, I'm talking about the wand, it's heavy. I have the shortest lashes known to man. The lip color is probably my favorite right now, it was a great natural slightly pinky color. I think it's going to be my new favorite go to. I just watched tutorial yesterday and I pretty much followed it exactly. Except I used Haute Chocolate instead of the Cherry Cordial. I should have taken a picture, but as soon as we were done playing I had to make dinner. Life of a Mom right?

She's obsessed with this magnetic drawing thing. We got it at Nordstrom's when we bought Mini Fox's coming home outfit, Baby Fox wanted this, and we're big suckers so we got it for him.

She's been carrying it around everywhere.Yep those are my jammies and they're grey leopard, I know you're jealous.

With Baby Fox being sick he can't go to preschool (obviously), but his friends sure do miss him. They all drew him pictures and his teacher dropped them of with some school work at the house yesterday morning. So sweet right? We thought Baby Fox was getting better, but this morning he woke up with his fever back, poor guy. Off to the doctors they go. I'm already at work, so Mr. is taking him right now. I hope they can figure out what's wrong!

I seriously almost started crying when I saw these, the kids in his class are so sweet!

Best Artichoke Cheese Dip + a Video

Guess what? I made another video for you guys!  I know it's just what you wanted. A couple of years back I posted about the BEST Artichoke Dip you will ever eat. I made it a few weeks ago, and decided to video it...So here ya go...I know this makes you hungry, so make it this weekend, you won't be sorry.

I need to figure out how to change the thumbnail when creating videos. Oops oh well. It's super good, try it! Always a crowd pleaser and the first thing to go when I bring it to parties.

Happy Birthday to Nana!

I realized that I got this shirt a while ago, but haven't worn it. Frankly I wasn't sure if I liked it, it comes with a gray hood that is removable. It just sat in my closet. I actually got this plaid shirt and got a second one half off, because anytime you get something half off you take advantage right? Now that I have the shirt on, I love it. I don't know why I was hesitant. Mr. says he likes this one better than the other one, he says the other one looks like a farmer.

I just like how simple this outfit is, I think the ankle boots really do it for me. The last few days, I feel like I need simple gold necklace, maybe one like this? Or this?

Super easy outfit, and SO comfortable.

As always here's some cute stuff as of late.

The cutest video of Mini Fox doing Wheels on the Bus.

The front cute kid with a cute headband...which I was shocked she kept on!

But wait...looks can be really deceiving... crazy hair!

Only my kid could refuse a cookie. I gave him this cookie, he took two bites and then set it down...and never returned to claim it.

Yesterday was a sick day, but Baby Fox got to do jammies all day, which he loves. He woke up today with no fever, just a stuffy nose. One more day at home and he should be good to go. Fingers crossed it's gone for good

I also want to give a shout out to the best Mom and Nana anyone could ask for! Happy Happy Birthday. Here's to so many more together!

Show and Tell: My Ground Hog Day

Linking up today with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesdays, today's topic is Groundhog Day. What day would I pick to relive over and over? It's so hard, do I pick our wedding, the day we got engaged, the day my kids were born...actually no, I would not pick either one of those days, that hurt! haha...

I don't think I would pick a specific day, like August 12, 2012 I think I am going to pick the idea of the perfect day. Which has happened, I just can't find that specific day, did that make sense?

Anyway, onto my Groundhog Day.

I'd pick a day in the summer, maybe mid August. Our pool is warm, the weather is awesome from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to sleep. We'd wake up at 8:30am and get some good snuggles in while watching some morning cartoons.

Then we'd make some pancakes

Hop on our bikes and take a bike ride up to our favorite Star Bucks outdoor seating area and meet up with my family.

Mini Fox's first time on a bike. We have since bought her a helmet that actually fits her head.
Then we'd head back home for some naps and a little down time.

After naps we'll go swimming (afternoons are the best for swimming because most of our pool is in shade)

Then after swimming or have our friends over for swimming too, we'd BBQ and eat outside while the kids swim some more.

Then baths

He looks angry, but really that's just his cheese face, LOL

and bed time with no delay tactics (haha, see what I did there...yep ideal world, no delay tactics).

Then some movie watching with Mr. to round out the day. And that my friends is a perfect, repeatable day. I do have to say, that most weekends during the summer are like this, so I guess that's good that it's my perfect day :)

So what does your Groundhog Day look like?

Rainbows, Premiers, French Braids and Football Oh My!

Thursday after work it was a little rainy, but we got to see this...a full rainbow! You can't tell from the picture, but the colors are super bright.

Thursday night started out with a date night with Mr. We went to a friends short movie screening. He did a Kick Starter to raise funds and we donated some money. Then he won a local radio contest to help make his movie, but since he already funded his project with Kick Starter he threw and awesome premier party! Of course we had to go.

I wore my fancy outfit #3 for the occasion
The writer/co-director/actor of the movie Sparked. You can also see this guy as an actor at Disneyland.

Everyone waiting to watch the movie, he said it was the longest 17 minutes of his life.

All of the pre-order ready to give out

Friday was my day off so I was able to walk Baby Fox to school, he loves when I can walk him to school.

My mom and her friend came over for lunch so they went with me to pick up Baby Fox

Friday after nap time, Mini Fox woke up with a fever again, I thought it had gone away and then it came back, not good, so I quickly called the doctors office and got the last appointment of the day. She was diagnosed with Pneumonia, poor thing, she's been pretty miserable.

Saturday was a pretty chill day. My parents long time friends came over to see the house and meet the kids.

This girl ate a quesadilla for lunch and loved it!

We made a box car, but she preferred to lay on top of it. In case you were wondering, Baby Fox wanted to hold the box up, hence the two holes on the bottom and then I held the box up with his suspenders, it was super cute, but Baby Fox wouldn't let me take his picture.

Sunday was a good day. It started off with pancakes and french braids. Yep that's right, I got two little french braids in her hair! A girl who loves food stays still enough for Mama to get in some braiding time.

We went to swim lessons, but forgot to take pictures of it, Baby Fox did great and swam the entire length of the pool!

Then my family came over for some yummy food and football watching. Of course I forgot to take a picture of the food...it was too yummy and everyone was busy eating. I made carnitas and Mr. might have had 7 of them.

Baby Fox is all set for the game.

Nothing says manly like a backwards hat and a blankie.

The boys

Getting some good cuddle time in.

Half time shenanigans

Last night Baby Fox got a fever, so he's home from school today, let's hope he's not getting what his sister had!
