Another Recap on a Tuesday

Weekend recap on a Tuesday. If you missed it Courtney, Beth and I gave you a tour of our houses decorated for Christmas. Click here if you want to see how I decorated my house!

Mr. had to pretty much study again all weekend, so Saturday morning I made a big breakfast and a friend and her daughter came over to play. She was also dropping off her gifts she bought for Thomas House adopt a family, click here for what they are all about. Another friend is picking up my stuff and my friends stuff today!

If you look in the water where the girls are looking, there is a little mermaid that is actually swimming around down there.

Look at me, I'm walking! For short periods without a boot, yay!

After our friends left, we decided to build our Giner Bread House. The kids had a blast!

They take their work very seriously.

I think he ate more than he decorated with.

She had a blast!

Since we had a late breakfast, lunch was small. But decided to have some fun with their lunch. Can you tell what they are? Hint, it's not the same thing :)

Put the kids down for an early nap because we were headed out to a Christmas Party in LA! We were still mega late, but hey it's a Christmas party, people show up when they can right?

They had a balloon artist there, and man this guy was GOOD!

This was the Little Mermaid, but she was so excited she couldn't hold still.

After that was Christmas cookie decorating, so much fun for the kids.

She just liked to put the frosting on, and never ate the cookie.

He just put all of the frosting in his bag on his cookie and then ate the whole thing!

The balloon guy made Mini Fox a crown balloon, she loved it.

And of course the girls were melting down, but had to get a picture before we left...oops, should have done this at the beginning of the night! Our girls are only 6 weeks apart, fun being pregnant with a pseudo cousin.

Back at home now and she's all smiles, showing off her balloon things.

Sunday was another all day study day for Mr. He didn't get all of Saturday because of the party, so I took the kids to a birthday party, they had a blast and were sad to leave.

Birthday girl. I met her mom at Nordstrom! Seriously, our kids are only 2 weeks apart, and we met while nursing our kids when they were newborns in the Nordstrom nursing room. We shared a love for shopping, after feeding our kids we went off and went shopping together and have been friends ever since!

Afterwards we tried to stay away so I took them to lunch at Corner Bakery.

I asked her to take a picture, this is what she did, goofster.

I bribed her with a cookie. No she didn't eat the whole thing.

He told me he wanted me to take a picture of his shirt, front and back for my aunt to gave it to him.

Did a little shopping, didn't find anything, darn it!

Some naps happened and then some relaxing and watching tv, while we found out that our oven is broken because it took 1.5 hours to cook our meatloaf...grrr. And we're having 23 people over for Christmas dinner! Yikes, calling the guy right now! And I have Christmas cookies to make for this weekend, I really hope it's something he can fix and soon!

How was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Christmas Tour Blog Hop and Link Up

I'm so excited, today is finally the day! I'm linking up with both Courtney and Beth for our holiday home tours! Plus I'm also part of a blog hop with The Blended Blog. So if you're visiting from Lana's blog, welcome!

But I guess the real reason you're here is to see my Christmas Decorations. Plus I have a little surprise for you all. Oh and I have a lot of pictures...you've been warned.

It all starts with the Christmas Tree, we bought this bad boy last year and could not have been more excited to put it up this year.

Let's start at the front door. I made the wreath part for Fall, but couldn't drive to get the rest of the stuff, so it just sat plain as can be on our front door, then my mom took pity on my and gave me the ribbon to add. Next year I'll definitely be sprucing this up a bit. It's a good start though.

Just as you walk in the door, you see our entry way table.  I found the "WISH" sign at Stein Mart, I had never been there until my mom took me the other day, I really liked it, will have to go back again soon.

As you walk in you see this right away.

I have some polka dot ribbon, glittery ornaments, red birds, white birds, white sparky balls on trees, silver bells, makes for a pretty perfect tree. The silver bells are actually from Mr.'s mom, she gave him one a year for 30 years! Each one has the year on it, it's pretty fantastic.

I just love the poinsettias, they are full of glitter and so fun.

These are just plain, but it still ties in with the theme.

So you walk a few steps in and then see this. I just love the catwalk up there. Although makes it hard to conceal noise at all, since all of the bedrooms face the noise.

Guess what? You get your first surprise, I decided to video how we decorated the tree this year! So here you go!

The view just as you get to the top of the stairs. We have yet to find a tree topper we really love that goes with the tree...so until we find the perfect thing, we'll just wait.

And now your second surprise, I did the same for the banister. Enjoy!

Moving onto the family room. I just knew you wanted to see how I did the mantel. I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how it came out. I pretty much copied what we did last year...and then I called my mom and said something was missing, and sent her a picture. year.

She came over with the red balls, and we found those red Christmas tree at Party City for $1.99, and thought they HAD to go on the mantel.  Really makes the whole mantel look so much better. The wreath was made by Baby Fox last

I got the stocking hangers at Target, where else?

We have this door that goes to our heating unit, and is usually where we hang Baby Fox's school work, but when Christmas rolls around, I just love all of the Christmas Cards we get, that I can't help but display them. I used to have them on the mantel, but it got to be too many and they weren't all getting displayed.

I made those clothes pin reindeer and Christmas trees a couple of years back. I thought I had lost them, but found them in a bin in the garage the other day, was so happy to have found them!

I usually have (fake) fruit in these jars, but I switched them out for some ornaments, I remember when I bought these, I really wanted them, but needed quite a few, so I went to 3 targets in one day to find them, worth it!

Mr. really loves the classic Christmas Tree, he loves colored lights and not the white ones, so we put another Christmas tree upstairs, so we can put all of the ornaments we've collected over the years on that tree.

This year we let the kids put most of the ornaments on the tree and they loved it! As you can see most of them are in the same spot, haha.

some of my favorites, this one my grandparents gave my parents when I was supposed to come from Korea in October, but was delayed until January, so it was my first Christmas, spent without them, and they were heartbroken. But I just love this ornament, they loved me even before I was here.

Speaking of adoption, one of my favorite stories growing up with Horton the Elephant, it's all about adoption and helped us to understand it a little better growing up.

One of the first ornaments Baby Fox made for us.

Oh and we can't forget the last tree in the house. I know another one! We have Baby Fox's birthday tree! Each year he gets his own birthday tree, we decorate it in whatever theme he wants and only put birthday gifts under it. This boy does not know the meaning of getting jipped because his birthday is on Christmas, if anything he gets more spoiled, I never want him to not like that his birthday is on Christmas.

As soon as he saw the action figures, he immediately took them off the tree and took them to his room, so currently there are no action figures, luckily I got one picture before it was partly taken apart.

So there you have it, all of my Christmas decorations! I can't wait to see what Courtney and Beth did with their homes. And don't forget about The Blended Blog Christmas Tour hop, hop on over to see how Sheila decorated her home this year!

Now link up all of your homes below, I'm nosey and want to see it all!

Friday Favorites - the New #50

Happy Friday. Is anyone else suffering from it's almost Christmas break and I don't feel like working any more? I really hope I'm not the only one. For some reason it really feel like yesterday was Friday and that I should be off today, but I'm not, boo.

Last night I came down from working in the office around 5pm and guess what was sitting on the counter? Yep, Mr. took the initiative to stuff and seal our Christmas cards, such a sweet guy right?! I was shocked and so happy I didn't have to stuff them. Now I just need to address them, put postage on and I'm done, woo hoo! Don't worry, I print out labels, no way can I hand address that many.

I know you really wanted to see a picture of my foot...but my first day of physical Therapy was this week and it's going so well! Today at PT I'm actually going to take steps without my boot on! Oh and I'm going to DRIVE MYSELF to PT...can you tell I'm excited. I'll let you know how it goes on Monday!

Funny story about these pants, you've seen these, they are the ones I got from Fablethic, anyway, my dad picks me up and looks at me and says, you're wearing that to PT? So we get there and my dad had my PT before, so he tells him to go ahead and charge me double for wearing pants that look like that, haha.

Some random pictures of the kids I'm loving. Everyday she wants to dress up. She's just the cutest.

Baby Fox fell and hit his lip, it was a bleeder, so he's sucking on a freezer owie thing and Mini Fox was just super concerned, so she wanted in on the snuggles too. Oh and that super soft blanket, from Costco, only $15 worth EVERY penny, run don't walk to go get one too.

These two...love when they do this.

These got to go to Disneyland again yesterday, they had a blast. Although Mini Fox got no nap and it was rough when they got home, let me tell ya. But at least they had fun. Her favorite ride.

Cookies, he'll do anything for dessert.

How she talked anyone into buying this I'm not sure, all I know is she was on a super sugar high when they dropped her off.

We play a lot of games at our house, we turn EVERYTHING into a game and one of their favorite delay tactics is to play hide and seek. Their favorite thing is to hide somewhere, and then when the person who is seeking walks away they move positions and hide somewhere else. It's super cute listening to them giggling away. Guess where they are?

The other game is that Mini Fox likes to throw her hands out like this and say ICE POWER! And usually the person it's directed to, falls down dead, she thinks it's hilarious. I love that little giggle. She totally came up with the ice power on her own.

Lately she hasn't been saying Ice Power, mostly because we already know what she's doing. But if you're new, don't think she won't say it.

Pictures With Santa

Linking up with Courtney, Jenny, Elizabeth, Sara, Stephanie, and Laureen for Vists with Santa. I was going to post this sooner, but they were doing a link up, so I thought, why not. I'll hold off, make you guys wait a bit. I know you were dying to see them.

This is pretty much what I expected:

From 2012

From 2014

But instead we got two angel kids who couldn't wait to get on Santa's lap and talk to him and take pictures with him, parent win right there folks!

Best one we got out of them. They are saying cheese, just not doing a cheese face...oh well, there is always next year. Mini Fox told Santa she wanted a dolly and Baby Fox said he wanted toys but specifically a ride on toy...which for the record he is not getting, getting something much better that is not even on his radar because  I don't think he knows that he can be on his radar. Hopefully he'll be shocked and surprised.

Same expression, weird.

Santa refused to make a funny face, although he should have :)

Weird thing happened, we get home and I put in the disk to retrieve the photos and there isn't anything there! Say what?! So Mr. takes a look at the back and says, there is something on there, so he takes it up stairs and suddenly he starts sending me all of these pictures...they accidentally put every photo they took on the CD, instead of just the three that we ordered, woo hoo. I mean they all sort of look the same, but hey we'll take it!

What I Wore - Walking Boot Edition

First head on over to The Blended Blog to see how Baby Fox brought the Magic of Christmas back.

I'm finally feeling up to actually getting ready and going out. Woo hoo! Two outfit posts in a row, who am I? It was a nice break to just lounge around and do nothing, but I'm ready to get back out there. Who else still has Christmas gifts to buy? I have a long list, and time is running out on the internet options to get them before Christmas.

This is one of my favorite shirts that I got from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It's a bit on the thinner side for colder weather so I layered it with my favorite long tank* from Target. Paired with my favorite leggings* from Nordstrom, on sale now for $27, reg. $36.

I really do think my favorite part is the back, there are these cute little buttons. I'm in serious need of a haircut. I was going to get one back in November...but well the whole driving thing.

And just for The Blended Blog ladies...token butt shot for ya :)

I know that green sock have no reason being there, other then I need tall socks to go with my boot, and I just happen to put on a green one. Frankly I only have these socks (it's actually has a picture of a snow monster on them) and black, the black were dirty. Oops, didn't realize I was going to actually have time to take an outfit post. Who knew!
