Style Perspectives: The Graphic Tee and Hair Challenge Week 16

Hello Foxy Fashion Friends. Yet another week of the Style Perspectives with The Blended Blog! I am loving seeing everyone style the prompts and meeting new people through the link up! Keep 'em coming!

This week was Deena's choice, and she could not have picked anything more like her than a graphic tee. I basically think they are one in the same...okay not really, but seriously love the prompt. Fun fact...I did not own a graphic tee until last year during one the style challenges.

Then I decided to style my very first Graphic Tee that I got...It was the first one that really spoke to me...

Now onto the hair...I actually got a machine to do the twists (hopefully unboxing video coming soon, it's been recorded, now I just need to find the time to put it together), so I twisted three together and then braided the three twists together.

And how could pass up a jumping shot, curteosy of Mr...because I took about 15 with the remote timer and failed miserably and was sweaty hot.

Tip #1: Key to looking good in a jumping shot...make sure to tuck your knees up behind you, makes you look like you've gone higher than you really have.

Tip #2: Set your camera to rapid fire picture taking, so the person taking the picture just rapid fires and you're sure to get the peak of your jump.

Now go check out Deena's post on The Blended Blog, I think she has something pretty fun up her sleeve...

In case you missed it, here is how everyone styled their Tee, Cardi, Jeans and statement necklaces.

Okay now onto the hair challenge. I actually did pretty good with this, mostly because I was at the conference in Vegas and you know, dress to impress right?

This was last Wednesday. I needed to do something, since nothing was done Monday or Tuesday. I threw these braids in and put them together and I probably couldn't repeat this even if I wanted. I was tired and just trying to do anything in less than 10 minutes.

Thursday was driving to Vegas. I don't like wearing ponytails while driving, so I threw it up like this...sort of like this video, hers looks way better, ah well. This was taken after driving for 4 hours and walking around...so it's a little messed up from when I started.

I totally forgot to take a picture of my hair on Friday, how could I?! Here's front view...Oops. And now I can't even remember how it looked in the back, so much happened, yikes!

This style was because Deena said she said someone on Canada's version of The View (it's called The Social), anyway Lainey, had something sort of like this, but not really. But we got the style inspiration from her.

Sunday was spent all day shopping. I was trying to do this hair style, but couldn't hear the directions, for some reason the audio was out, and it was too hard to follow, so I just threw it in a few knots and called it a day.

I even got a comment on the elevator from a hair dresser trying to figure out what I had one...so fun having someone that's a professional asking me how I did my hair!

That's it on the hair front. Next weeks prompt is: A plaid looks, bring out that Spring Plaid and bring your A game next week.

Now go check out how the other ladies styled their graphic tee look.

10 Things I Learned from Watching Sons of Anarchy

I'm back from the conference and my head is just spinning with everything that happened, which I'm going to sort out at some point between now and Thursday, since we all decided to link up to discuss it. So come back Thursday for that. In the mean time...

Linking up again with Karli and her 10 on Tuesday list series.  I love lists, I love Karli, combine those together and you get a great post.

Since Mr. and I are really into Sons of Anarchy I thought I would do a post about them...

First I am going to add a caveat that I'm only on season 3...so this I what I've learned so far:

1 - They Hug A Lot

2 - For being bikers and having a bad boy image, they cry a lot too

3 - I admire their "family" attitude, if only we were all so lucky to have people like that in our lives

4 -  They tend to overreact and  kill people...a lot of them

5 - They all wear a lot of jewelry - Specifically rings, like one on every finger

6 - I want to look that good in a leather vest with every single outfit I own

7 - Jax's hair is always greasy, even when he just gets out of the shower...that's a random one I know.

8 - Jax is actually a good Dad, despite being skeptical in the beginning, he's so sweet with his son.

9 - All of the woman are fierce in this show, I love that the all of the Men rely on the woman of the group, especially Head Mama Bear: Gemma

10 -  They hug, kiss and cry a lot. I felt I need to write this again to really get my point across that they hug a lot...

So what have you learned from watching Sons of Anarchy?

$10 Target Haul: April Edition

Back linking up with Becky, Beth, Courtney. Elizabeth, Rachel, Stephanie, Tif  and Whitney to show what we got for just $10 at Target.

I had so much fun being in Target by myself...just walking around and doing my thing...I got a good workout in prior, so I was feeling good.

After walking around this is what I ended up with.

The most exciting part of this, I saw this backpack when I first walked into Target, it was staring at me saying HELLO, take me home...I had another one I had gotten from Trip Advisor forever ago for filling out a survey. I hadn't bought another one...so I went from my gym backpack being free to $3...I'll take it.

I ended up buying the clothes pins because I want to do some sort of art wall in our house for all of the kids stuff...haven't quite figured out how...but when I do you'll be the first to know.

I just thought these were fun...have no idea where they are going, but I'll find something!

I knew these were going to blow the budget when I included tax, but I just had to have them...you can never have too many notecards right?

And the grand total? $10.80...I figured I was $1 short last month...so I'm still $0.20 ahead...#girlmath right there.

Did you do the Target Challenge? How much did you spend and what did you get?!

Friday Favorites #65

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! I'm currently in Vegas with a few of my bloggy besties from The Blended Blog. First day of our conference, I'm sure we're probably having a blast, at least I hope so! So onto Friday Favorites.

In case you missed it this week:

I also am up for who to pick for the Feature on The Blended Blog. So head on over there to meet my friend Beth from Our Pretty Little Girls and get to know her a bit better. I know you're going to love her as much as I do!

I'm meeting up with some of The Blended Blog ladies and I could not be any more excited. When you read this we will have already met and slept together...so you know...Once you sleep together you're best friends right? I got some blogging business cards. So exciting, although I don't think I would ever pass them out to family or friends really, but hey, I needed 500 right? LOL. Gotta love Vista Print.

I will never be a hand model, sorry about the dried fingers...ewwww...

Week 6 of the wear everything in my closet. Since I'm traveling on Thursday, I didn't include Thursday outfit like I normally do. Apparently I have a thing for stripes the latter half of the week.

What's a Friday favorite without a funny video. This one is hilarious! Viewed over 8.3 Million times in 2 days...think about that, that's a lot of sharing. So happy my cousin shared this on her page. So freakin' funny. What do you think? Real or not real? Seems pretty real to me...

I need this! They always make it seem so easy in the videos...I wonder if it's really that easy?

Just booked a cabin with a couple of family friends. 4 families, 8 adults and 9 kids in one cabin...fun times this summer! :)

One family is missing from this picture...

Picture Perfect Project: April

So excited to be back linking up with  WhitneyCourtneyBeth  and  Elizabeth,  Stephanie  and  Desiree for another month of The Picture Perfect Project.

Our Pretty Little Girls

I didn't think we were going to get any photos this month. I am trying to take an intential photo that we're going to use for our yearly calendar for the grandparents. Last year was a disaster trying to find THE photo to put each month. So this year, I thought I would use the Picture Perfect Project to help me get organized so I'm not scrambling to find pictures. We were supposed to go on Saturday with some friends to the Flower Fields, I thought, perfect, I can use them for the TPPP. But then they canceled and wanted to reschedule...I thought NOOOOOOO!!! Then it turned out that it was suppose to rain all day Saturday, so that worked out...until no rain came...so Saturday night I said screw this, we're getting those pictures! I need a blog post for Thursday. Muddy fields or not...So happy we went, the weather was perfect, wasn't too hot and I got some great pictures!

Funny how they happen to be in the same pose

I need help choosing which picture to use for the yearly calendar! Help me by picking your favorite.

#1

But this one is just too cute.

#2

So is this one with the ocean in the background.

#3

This was the point where meltdowns were happening... and milk shakes were being offered.

#4

Had to get a picture on the tractor...

#5

And of course a family shot. We obviously had to have someone else take them, the first people we had, took the pictures of 60% sky...like seriously? These were much better! The background almost looks fake. But I assure you it's real.

#6

And one last one...The flower fields in Carlsbad were just so pretty. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend going. The season is short, from March 1 through Mother's Day weekend, but so worth your time. We spent about 2 hours there, and didn't get to do everything. Granted a lot of it was taking 500 pictures...okay not that many but I'm sure the kids sure felt like that, that milk shake was definitely earned.

One last thing...I'd like to point out we got our money worth out of this dress (when I say we, I really mean my parents)...here she is wearing it exactly a year ago.

So which one would you chose for the calendar?

P.S. The last time we went Baby Fox was 16 months old.
