Sentence A Day - March Edition

It's another month and I'm sharing my sentence a day for the month. I just love looking back on these posts and seeing how I was feeling and what was happening that month. 1 - Ash Wednesday again, while traveling for work.

2-  I miss my family.

3-   L.O.N.G.E.S.T day ever, fly home, then have a whole day with kid activities.

4- Baseball, pictures, opening day parade and a 2 hour game, long but fun day.

5- Last minute mommies and kids date with some friends, so much fun. (no picture, does that mean it didn't happen?)

6- So grumpy, I hate that.

7- Parent/Teacher conference today, of course she was all praises.

8- Kids are sick, workout video for me.

9 - Holy crap I forgot PT today...how did I do that?!

10 - T-ball practice, and Ballet all in one day and at the same location, that never happens!

11 - Hardest day EVER with  Baby Fox...man he tests my limits.

12 - So happy Mr. decided to heat the pool, fun times swimming, I see what our summer is going to be like!

13 - Phew, I remember PT, forgot last Thursday...oops!

14 - Mr.'s Birthday celebration with my parents and sister.

15 - Happy Birthday Mr.!

16 - Physical Therapy...it's working, it's working.

17 - MIL is coming into town, yay!

18 - New phase of life, soccer followed by baseball games on Saturdays.

19 - Got lots of work done around the house, love productive days.

20 - First workout in over 2 weeks, yay!

21 - Yes Sephora box came

22 - Back at R.I.P.P.E.D....felt so good

23 - Play date at the park

24 - Much needed carpet cleaning.

25 -Another date night with friends, so much fun!

26 - Got three videos edited today, productive. They were Kylie Lip Kit Swatches, 2 Ways To Curl Your Hair and A Spring Half Up Do.

27 - Home sick, boo.

28 - So many people at the park, loving this, 5 years ago it was always just us.

29 - More physical therapy.

30 - MNO, Woo hoo, I need this!

31 - Mexican for dinner, yum...needed after a long week.

Black Floral + Favorite Hair Products

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! I thought since I'm obsessed with floral I would show you my newest purchase. You all know I love dark colors, reds and pinks, but combine black with some pretty colored flowers, I'm in. I saw this print from the register at Old Navy and as soon as I was done returning my other floral dress, I went over and got this dress plus another one, in the same print but different style, is that socially acceptable? I figure no one will really know, although now you do...

Spring Time Fun: April Showers

Hello Foxy Friends! If you're hopping over from Katie from Mishap and Mayhem of Solitary Life, welcome, glad you stopped by. Today the Blended Blog Ladies and I cooked up a fun Spring Time Fun link up to enjoy for the next couple of months, please join in on the fun! Today's topic is April Showers...such a hard topic to talk about, seeing as that it doesn't rain here too often.

But when it does, the kids like to jump in the occasional puddle, sometimes we have to go hunting for them.  And it had just rained, an hour or so before and we had to drive around to find the puddle, apparently the drainage in our backyard is stellar. Good to know.

We wear rain jackets even when it's just sprinkling, with crowns of course.

But the best part? Is seeing views like this while driving. The snow in the background and the hills all nice and green.

I don't own any rain gear per say, and try not to look around either, because you know, then I would want it all and only get to wear it a couple of times of year when it's sprinkling, haha. Although this year we've gotten a lot more rain and I totally didn't feel prepared. What do you do during April showers? Any go to rain gear? My Marriage In Numbers

I thought I would take a different approach to Deena's Month in Numbers link up this month. Since today is Mr. and my 12 year anniversary, I thought I would share 12 things about our marriage, here we go.

12 - The number of years we have been married.

11 - The number of months we were dating before we got engaged.

10 - The number of months we were engaged before we got married.

9 - The number of professional photos sessions we've had.

8 - The number of states we crossed on an East Coast road trip without listening to the radio (actually if you're counting there and back it was more like 17, but that's not on the list, so we'll go with 8 on the way up the coast).

6 - The number of amazing vacations we've taken together, not including weekends away.

5 - The number of months it took to remodel our house, and lived in 2 rooms, the others were a disaster and not livable.

1 - The number of dishes I knew how to cook when we got married, fajitas in case you were wondering.

Saturday during breakfast I asked Baby Fox if he wanted to learn how to read a face clock and he said yes, so while eating pancakes I taught him, he rocked it.

Then instead of having to draw out a clock every time, we made our own and Mr. somehow had saved my compass and it made this engineers heart so happy to see my son using it :)

After breakfast our morning was filled with baseball.

Then soccer right afterwards. The first time this will happen in a while. Love when a plan works out.

That night we went to dinner with some good friends to celebrate Mr.'s birthday. We left all of our kids at our house with a babysitter and went out for 3 hours, can you imagine, eating dinner for 3 hours? It was amazing is what I'm telling you.

 

Then Sunday we laid low as I was totally sick, boo! At least I held out for our date night.

Marva wrote a beautiful post last week about being bold when you want to run and hide. I just love how she intertwined God and him knowing what he's doing and you have to trust in Him and push through all that worry and uncertainty.

I'm loving Deena's new project, where she is taking her grandmother's recipe book and making it into a book for her family. She's making it extra special by interviewing her grandfather and her aunts and uncles so she can add little stories inside the book near each recipe, how amazing is that? 

 

She also shared her Grandmothers biscuit recipe over on The Blended Blog. Go check out that here, it makes my mouth water just looking at it, don't you agree?
