Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Back for another year of Friday Favorites, I can't believe that I have done 145 of these...crazy pants. Anyway, I thought I would share a little more of what we have been up to lately, since Tuesday's post was sort of a a drive by.

Fear not, I have a cute solution for you.

Since I sort of fell off the face of the earth earlier, I figured I would do a little look back on the blog, since that clearly didn't happen at the end of the year like I had hoped. Let's recap the top 5 posts from 2017.

1.  Funny enough my top viewed post is from 2016, it's my How to French Braid your own hair. I did a video on it too, that is also my most viewed video at 59K views.

French Braid My Hair

2. This is also a post dating back to 2012! It's how to make Clothes Pins Reindeers, so cute, and I use them to hold all of my Christmas cards on a ribbon.

3. Hey this one was actually written this year! This post was about how to be a better spouse.

4. My next one was also one from last year, it was my post on how to train your hair to go 3-5 days between washings. Trust me, coming from someone who HAD to wash her hair everyday...it can be done, and now I usually wash it when I can't remember the last time I washed it.

5. Hey another one from this year, haha. This one is how to balance work/life balance. So important to keep in mind as we start the new year.

We took the kids to Disney on Ice, if you haven't been yet, you HAVE to take your kids. Mr. and I didn't have high expectations, but it exceeded it plus some! So dang good! As soon as it was over, Baby Fox said, can we go again?! I consider that a major win!

As you know Christmas day is Baby Fox's birthday, we never want him to feel cheated, so we go above and beyond on the day for his birthday.

I usually make some sort of crazy cake, this year I did this one, although it didn't quite turn out like I thought it would, it was still fun to make and Baby Fox loved it.

And what birthday party would be complete without a balloon drop (affiliate). You guys, you HAVE to get one! It's so much freakin' fun! Plus if you get this thing (affiliate)...fill up all those balloon in minutes. Totally worth it!

Happy 7th Birthday Baby Fox.

And something super exciting to tell you! The Blended Blog is hosting a Spread the Love gift exchange! Super fun right? Who doesn't like to get some mail? Meet new friends and join in on the fun! Follow this link to participate, you have until January 17th to join.

Speaking of recap, I love the yearly recap songs people do. Some of them are just so creative.

Sam always has good one take videos, this backwards recap one, SOO good. So does that mean he has to "sing" the words backwards so that when they rewind it looks forward? Hmmm...how does he do that?!

Love their take on the top hits from 2017, one sang all the top guys and the other all the top girl songs, so unique and they did a great job!

I discovered these guys when I went to the Pentatonix concert, they were their opening act. I love them and they have been doing these for a while. This year didn't disappoint either.

Sentence A Day: December Edition

Hello! Welcome to the new year! I've been doing Sentence a Day for the last year and a half, click here to see past months.  I got this idea from Rebecca, who inspired this link up! It's only January 4th, so catch up and join us the first Thursday of every month to share your sentences.

1 - Off day, taking Dance Jam at the gym and they are teaching us the Bye Bye Bye dance, it's pretty awesome.

2 - Got my workout done early and then cleaning the house and decorating.

3 - Mr. left again for the week, send all the prayer that he has two children when he gets home...haha, j/k...mostly...no really, I'm sure we'll be fine...

4 - Nothing like Daddy being gone and then getting a bunch of take out food to last the entire week and then some, haha.

5 - I hope everyone stays safe during this crazy fire season.

6 - Back to R.I.P.P.E.D. and it was so hard!

7 - Little League proof of residency, why do we do this every year, can't they keep track of us from last year?

8 - That was crazy, Mr. almost didn't make it home with that storm, got home at 6am, instead of midnight.

9 - 600 cookies, I'm dead.

10 - Relaxing day, just what we needed.

11 - Mini Fox was so cute in her Christmas performance.

12 - Why did we decide a 3 day cleanse was the way to go in the middle of December?

13 - I'm hungry, I'm hungry, I'm hungry, why, why, why?!

14 - Made it, now to eat all the food, although that is counterproductive to the last 3 days, haha!

15 - So much to do, busy running errands all day long, left the house at 8:20am and got home at 4pm...wow, that was a long day.

16 - Cousin party time!!!!!

17 - Witnessed the most amazing act of love and support for our fire fighter heroes on our way home today. (Back Story: a fire fighter lost his life fighting the Ventura Fire, aka Thomas Fire, and was being brought home to San Diego (about 150 miles) and over every freeway pass were fire trucks and people standing on the sides of the freeway to show support for him, his family and fellow fire fighters.)

18 - Last time at gymnastics for 3 weeks...get it all in little girl.

19 - Happy Anniversary to my parents, I think that's 47 years?

20 - Working from home, I love these days.

21 - Picked up 13 pounds of Prime Rib today, woo hoo, bring it on Christmas!

22 - Got to volunteer in Baby Fox's classroom, he was surprised, but was hoping I would come.

We had the kids toilet papering each other to make each other snowmen.

23 - Yay my brother is coming to town!

24 - What a great day/evening with my family, I just love our traditions.

25 - Hosting 24 people and making sure birthday boy has the best day a success, plus the prime rib turned out perfect.

26 - Sick, everyone is sick, so we stay at home and do nothing.

27 - 3 hour nap isn't too shabby.

28 - Baby Fox is out with Ampa (what he calls my Dad) so Mini Fox and I went on a mommy/daughter outing.

29 - Baby Fox got himself so worked up over getting blood drawn, think screaming and calling people mean and trying to run out the door, and as soon as the needle goes in his arm, he says, that's it?

In the waiting room.

30 - Day two of eating dinner with the same friends, we could get use to this.

31 - Happy New Year, bringing in this year with the same friends as last year and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Little Black Dress and Currently

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Welcome to the first Blended Blog Style link up for 2018.  So excited to have you all here, and to continue to grow this link up and find new friends to follow. I found this pretty dress at Target, and couldn't wait to get it on. I mean sheer sleeves, polka dots and ruffles, could there be anything better?

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

Shoes are old from Jessica Simpson, but here is a similar pair.

I wish I could get my curls to look like this on the first day. Haven't figured that out. When I do them this loose, the curl falls out within an hour, this is day 3 after I curled my hair...hmmm...

The lip color is Lipsense - Blue Red / Eye Shadow Palette / Eye Liner / Eye Lashes / Blush

Also linking up with Anne from Anne In Residence and her monthly "currently" where she gives you the topics to talk about. This time her cohost is Lowanda of Sunshine and Elephants and the topic is starting, hoping, scheduling, reading, and playing.

Starting:

Hoping to start practicing yoga, I am so not flexible, can't even really touch my toes, but this year I am hoping to change that. FYI: my idea of hell is doing yoga and puzzles, so this one is going to be challenging. I've completed two days so far, so far so good. I'm starting with a 30 days of Yoga with Adriene, here is my play list.

Hoping:

For a great year. I love the beginning of a new year. There are so many hopes for the new year. I'm hoping to take the kids to see new things, experience new things and to live in the moment more.

Scheduling:

All things blog related. Trying to get a sense of where this year is going to take me. I like to know what my posts are going to be a month at a time...so I can squeeze working on them here and there.  Pretty soon I'm going to be juggling getting the kids to all of their after school activities.

Reading:

Currently lots of blog posts and Facebook. Oh that's not what you meant? Well I have a whole stack of books I would like to read...haven't gotten around to actually reading them, but one day...one day.

Playing:

Lot's of games with the kids. Plus I got Mr. a hover board for Christmas and the whole family has been enjoying it. Mini Fox picked it up crazy fast and Baby Fox was a pro right out the gate. Me on the other hand, not so much. Day two was a bit better, but my sped is snails pace. My friend was watching and said, are you even moving? Yep that's how slow I was going, lol.

Happy New Year And A Semi Recap

Hello Foxy Friends! Happy New Year! I hope you had a great holiday and a safe New Year. I had a great break. I had the best intentions to blog these past couple of weeks, but then days turned into weeks and now here we are in the new year. Plus I went to do an break recap and I had computer issues. Why do all computers must hate me? Anyway, I'll be back at it tomorrow, with our first Blended Blog Style of the new year! But in the mean time, a few pictures to recap what we've been up to:

We've enjoyed getting lots of well wishes and holiday cards from all of our friends and family

Went to Christmas Eve Mass with my family.

Then had a fantastic dinner at my parents house.

Christmas morning we opened presents and then got the house ready for 24 people to come for dinner! Plus celebrate Baby Fox's birthday!

Towards the end of the night I realized I got no pictures of us together...hence the no shoes.

Impromptu photo bombing of their family photo, you know the ones in the matching jammies.

And then everyone was gone and these were the peeps left standing.

Which brings us to new years...

And then the new year, I'm going to try something new...and start practicing yoga...I'll let you know how it goes (my idea of hell is me doing yoga and puzzles, so this should be interesting). Trying out 30 days of Yoga (she also is starting a new 30 days of yoga today...so I might do that instead of the one she did 3 years ago, we'll see)...see how it goes. Day one report: I feel asleep at the end...that's a good thing, no?

Mini Fox wanted to join in too, so stinkin' cute.

Hope you are all relaxed and ready to tackle the new year!
