10 Memories With Mr.

Last year I participated with Erin for 10th on the 10th and she's continuing it this year, click here for those posts. Well this year she has come up with 12 new topic, the topic today is 10 memories with your spouse. Wow, so many memories, but I'll try, here I go:

ONE

When we met, I picked him up at a bar in Hollywood. Yep that's right, I talked to him first, we were both dating someone at the time, we broke up with said people soon after and the rest is history.

TWO

Our first date, was pretty much picture perfect. We went to Malibu, and sat on the sand and talked while watching the sunset, then we headed to Mimi's Cafe to eat dinner, followed by ice cream and walking around the most picture perfect park (think old fashion street lights and benches under tress). Really the most perfect first date.

THREE

When he surprised me with our honeymoon. He just told me that I needed a passport and some bathing suites. I had no idea where we were going, and he told me at church towards the end of the ceremony as we were watching everyone receive communion.

FOUR

Our trip to Italy and Switzerland. We knew that we wanted to take one more big trip before having kids. So we took 3 weeks off and went with some really good friends. So many great memories, and I can't wait to take the kids one year.

Throwing coins into Trevi Fountain.

FIVE

Hiking Half Dome. I saw a picture of it in someone's cube and I asked what it was, they said Half Dome and I immediately Googled, and then emailed Mr. and said hey want to hike Half Dome...he immediately said yes, without evening knowing what it was, despite having knee surgery 7 weeks prior he hiked it with me, and it was such an amazing experience.

SIX

Buying our first house together, we found out our offer got accepted on our drive home from hiking Half Dome.

SEVEN

After having kids it's hard to get away, just the two of us. I really cherish those times to reconnect and visit our old stomping grounds, when we were two people who on a whim would go to Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo the following weekend, just because. I love that we could do that, and that we still try to do that, although it takes a lot more planning then thinking about it 1 day prior to leaving, haha!

Visiting the elephant seals in Cambria

EIGHT

Having Baby Fox, what a surreal moment, one moment you are just two people in love and the next you bring this human into the world who is completely reliant on you. Wow, we just stared and him and cried and had no words.

NINE

Of course the mega fast birth of Mini Fox, wow. I love hearing Mr.'s version of events, and the fact that Mr. knows me well enough that I was going to have this baby fast and lie to the hospital (of how long my contractions had been going on) so that they would tell us we could come in. 1 hour later...she was here.

One of the more recent ones is watching the sunrise at the Grand Canyon with the kids. I love that the kids wanted to go and we loved sharing that experience with them.

Here are the other topics in case you want to join in.

Friday Favorites #150

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! We're headed to the mountains as you're reading this. It's pretty warm up there, but we're going to make the best of it. We were hoping to get Baby Fox into his first ski lesson, but it's going to be 54°F, with a lot of fake snow. So we'll have to wait on that lesson.

This week on the blog:

Monday: TBB Asks - February Edition
Wednesday: Valentine's Day Look
Thursday: Seattle Shopping Haul

Going to start with Thursday, I took the kids to Target after work. I can't even remember why we were going...oh wait, yes I do. Haha, my cousin sent me a picture and said...hey look what I found:

So of course I had to hop foot over to Target to see if I can find them for myself. And I did, and they are awesome! Worth the trip to Target. But before going into Target Mini Fox saw the circle and said, Mama take my picture.

Friday we celebrated my Mom's birthday. Her actual birthday was on Sunday, but we were going to a cousin party for Super Bowl, so we did a Friday thing instead. We ordered in Ribs and ate at home, per the birthday girl instructions. And she wanted chocolate with chocolate cupcakes.

My mother in Law came to visit this past weekend and I got NO pictures. Oops. It was a short trip. Sunday we headed to my cousins house for Super Bowl and the kids had a blast!

Remember when I told you we got a Sous Vide? Well I wanted to try and recreate the Starbucks Egg Bites, which Mr. says is pretty darn close. Although we needed to add a TON more cheese, but it was pretty darn close!

The kids are having a blast with Mr.'s Christmas gift, the hover board. They are really good at it too.

Cara from Kindly Unspoken, but together a fantstic guide to make up brushes. If you are confused as to what does what, take a look at this article. This is just the first of her beauty series, so excited to read the rest of them, Cara's make-up is always on point.

The Ultimate Makeup Brush Buying Guide- The Brushes You Really Need And How to Use Them!

If you need a good laugh. I can't even imagine having to use this sort of lift when I first started Snowboarding, I feel like the regular chair lift was hard! But this made me laugh so hard.

I just love when these two do a car musical. They are always so dang good!

And they posted bloopers, love it

Happy weekend! Hope you get to spend lots of time with your family and friends! See you Monday!

Valentine's Day Look

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today I'm over at The Blended Blog sharing my Valentine's Day outfit...actually it was my Christmas outfit, but I never posted, so it turned into my Valentine's day outfit, if we were to go out on Valentine's day.

If you are coming here from The Blended Blog, welcome! While the dress I am wearing isn't available any more, these are are are quite similar. I just love lace and how romantic it is.

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I put together a full look for you, and added the jacket for those that live in colder places than where I am. I love this whole look! And if you think you can't rock the red lipstick, you can! Just own it, and everyone will think you do it all the time, trust me.

Funny, I didn't even realize Mini Fox had tried to jump into this picture until I was going through them.

The lip color is Lipsense - Blue Red / Eye Shadow Palette / Eye Liner / Eye Lashes / Blush

I'm also linking up with Anne for her Currently post, this time we're talking finishingsubscribingwishlisting, watching, and hearting.

Finishing - Okay this is really bad, but I'm still trying to finish taking down Christmas decorations! I know so bad! I just don't have any motivation to put all those small little ornaments back into their little boxes. And it's upstairs out of the way, where no one ever sees it...this weekend, I'm going to finish it...I will finish this. We CAN'T get into March and still have a Christmas tree up. haha! Don't judge.

Subscribing - I just started getting Boxy Charm, you guys if you haven't done it, you HAVE to. Here is one of my unboxings to get a sense of what comes in it.

Also FabFitFun, those are a seasonal subscription box and are super fun too! Here is an unboxing video of that.

Wishlisting - All the things, okay not really. But I really want these lipsticks, this jacket, and this dress, even though I have no reason to wear it...perhaps next New Years?.

Watching - This Is Us, isn't everyone?

Also Black Mirror on Netflix, we just finished season 4. So good.

Hearting -   Seeing my kids and my cousins kids grow up together and get along so well together. I love that we all live close enough to each other that we can do that!

And guess what? I'm going to be the guest host next month!

The topics are going to be: planning, seeing, making, pretending, wearing

TBB Asks: February Edition

Hello Foxy Friends! I know two posts in one day, crazy pants. But anyway, it's another first Monday of the month which means The Blended Blog is asking and we're all answering. Join us the first Monday of every month, look for the questions over on TBB the week prior.

1. Kisses or Hugs? Hugs, nothing better than a big bear hug.

2. Candy or Flowers? Candy, preferably some sort of gummy candy, I really like Swedish fish, yum!

3. Baking or Cooking? Cooking, if someone is doing it for me.

4. Do you remember your first kiss? Yes, it was awful and super awkward and I laughed.

5. Favorite color of roses? Pink

6. Conversation hearts, Yes or No? Yes, except the yellow ones, yuck.

7.  Do you leave love notes? Yes? I leave a note in Baby Fox's lunch everyday. I used to leave notes for Mr. but haven't done it in a while...I should start back up.

8.  Do you decorate for Valentine's Day? Yes, but this year I am slow to get it all out...Usually I take down Christmas and put up Valentine's day, but for whatever reason, it's taking forever to take Christmas down.

9. Red or Pink? Pink, not sure for what, but if I have to pick.

10. White, milk or dark chocolate? Milk all the way!

11. Do you believe in love at first sight? I believe in lust at first site.

12. Do you give serious or humorous Valentine's Day Cards? Serious, although Mr. and I don't really exchange them any more. I guess that's what 13 years does?

13. Favorite Chick Flick or Romantic movie? Ever After for years, watched on repeat. But now it's the live version of Cinderella. Haha, funny, they are both the same story, I guess I have a type.

14. Stay in or go out?  Stay in, too much hype with Valentine's Day, and we already know how we feel about each other.

Friday Favorites #149

Happy Friday! What a long week following such a great getaway last weekend. But we made it and some family is coming into town plus Super Bowl. First I am over on The Blended Blog today sharing some of my favorite bloggers. Go check that out first!

In case you missed it this week:

Monday: Family Beach Pictures
Tuesday: Seattle vacation pictures + Vlog
Wednesday: Comfy Seattle Look
Thursday: Sentence A Day

Also don't forget about last weeks announcement. Have something you need to yell from the rooftops but don't have anywhere to put it out there? I'm inviting you to guest post on my blog! Some of the ladies from The Blended Blog want you to be a part of our blogs. We've put together some prompts that we'll all be sharing, but if you want to write outside of that, feel free! Click here for the details.

Photowall reached out to me, and let me pick out a canvas of my choosing. It was super easy to use, and the sizes are very generous. I like that you can customize the size how you would like it. Once I ordered it, it came super fast. The canvas does come rolled up and they give you the wood and screws to install it, but it was SUPER easy to put it together, it took me less than 10 minutes and no tools. I love the way it came out. I always think I am getting this huge thing, and then when I put it on my wall, it looks so small, but I am super happy with the quality and the service.

If you want to order your own you can get 20% off using the code:  FoxysDomesticSideCampaign2018 (This is not an affiliate link, just a discount because I think it's pretty awesome.)

Behind the scenes photos, I just love these photos as much as I do the real thing.

Mr. and I went on a date night in I don't even know how long, maybe my birthday in August? Anyway, we had a fantastic time. If you ever have a chance to go to Mastros in Newport beach, do it the view is gorgeous (see above), and the food is amazing!

The Lobster Bisque soup is AMAZING! So dang good, actually I hate too much of it and was so full by the time dinner got there...oops! Left overs tasted great though!

I got the filet and the Gorgonzola mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts were to die for. I could have eaten the soup and the brussels sprouts and called it a day.

Sorry vegetarians...this girl has to have some steak sometimes.

Yum yes please! Once Mr. made me chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's day...think he could make these?
