Friday Favorites #159

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! My mother-in-law is coming in later today and we're all so excited to spend some time with her. Although she's going to have to pick her favorite grandkid, because of course both kids have games on Saturday and at the same exact time. And the one time we need them to be close in location, this is one of three times we have to drive to a city that's about 30 minutes away, arg! So we can't do both like we did last time. Anyway...onto Friday Favorites this week.

In case you missed it this week:

Monday: 3 Tips For A Spring Clothing Purge
Tuesday: 10 Things In My Car
Wednesday: 10 Spring Dresses for Bridal or Baby Showers
Thursday: Disney On Ice Coming Next Week!

Some pictures that I haven't shared, I know how is that possible? This girl is so smart, she did this on her own.

I can't remember where we were going, but she wanted to make sure she was warm.

The kids had a dentist appointment and everything came out great. Mr. came for Mini Fox's appointment, because EVERY.SINGLE.TIME she cries with me, so he hustled over from work.

If you need something to make for your kids, make these, spaghetti octopuses, with 3 tenticles in this case. We had the small hotdogs, so could only fit three in each. Boil the noodles as directed.

The kids had Spring break last week and they did a whole lot of nothing.

Going out to breakfast.

And we ended it all in the mountains (recap coming soon!)

It was the perfect break to get away from it all and hang out and do nothing.

OH and I did this and if I never do it again, I would be okay with that.

Baby Fox's team has a dad that likes to take pictures and I was just going through them with all of the games that we've had and he caught some GREAT pictures of Baby Fox.

I was introduced to these two when i went to see Pentatonix play, they were the opening act and I've been following them ever since...this might be one of the cutest announcements.

Speaking of babies. Did you see Seth Myers recapping the birth of his second? Watch it, I was laughing so hard.

Yep need this in my life. Should I try and make this one for my YouTube Let's Try It Series?

Hope you have a great weekend!

10 Spring Dresses For Any Occasion

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Wedding season is upon us, which means lots of bridal showers and probably some baby showers sprinkled in there too. I wore this dress for Easter, although it was slightly chilly (you know 62°), still didn't stop me from wearing it.

baby shower dress

The best part of this dress? It has pockets.

What to wear to a baby shower

While this dress isn't still available I found some really pretty dresses that you could wear to any bridal or baby shower that you may have coming up. And the best part is that they are all under $100.

While I was taking my photos, Mini Fox wanted to jump in with me. Well first she wanted to show me a toy the Easter Bunny had brought.

Don't worry, she's wearing shorts under her dress.

I have no idea what she is trying to accomplish.

Yep Mini Fox is 4...and that is not an optical illusion, she really is that big compared to me. Haha...she will most likely be taller than me at 10...sigh.

And here is a blooper for you. What happens when you are wearing heels in soft grass and you're trying to lift a foot and the photographer takes too long to snap the picture. haha.

10 Things In My Car

Last year I participated with Erin for 10th on the 10th and she's continuing it this year, click here for those posts. Well this year she has come up with 12 new topics that I hope to participate in as well! This month is 10 things in my car. I have some pretty random things in my car, so here it goes.

The first few aren't so random... don't think.

My sunglasses, I did a post on my favorite sunglasses. My normal ones weren't in the car when I was taking pictures. But go here to see my favorite CHEAP sunglasses.

Next up is all of my car repair paperwork. Yep, every oil change and major service goes into this envelope. Strange I keep it in my car, probably, but hey it works and I always know where it is.

Then there is the thing that I use maybe twice a year, maybe 3 times...but yet it stays in my car full time. That is my umbrella. This thing is awesome, it has a button that puts it up and then the same button puts it down, so now fiddling with getting it down, just flip a  button and BAM it's down and in your car.

My windshield shades, a must in the summer. What I dislike the most is getting into my car to a hot steering wheel. I pretty much always use a sunshade, even when it's cloudy out, you just never know when it's going to be hot. Like yesterday, it was 85°F...29°C, totally random, and then Thursday is suppose to go back down to 67°, go figure.

This is pretty much always in my car, although I don't really like this brand, I bought it at Costco, so I have a Costco size pack to go through...talk about torture, but I don't want to waste money, so I deal with it, and give a piece to everyone and anyone who wants one.

Moving onto my trunk...

These are going to be totally random, but it has come in handy on more than one occasion. The worst is when you get somewhere and your stroller tires are flat, it happened to us once, and we ended up having to carry a 2 year old everywhere...everyone has an air compressor in their trunk right? Oh and a blow up mattress pump for the cigarette lighter. Hey we've used it a couple of times...might as well keep it in there right?

Always have some hand sanitizer in there too. I like these wet ones, and then I also have the spray kind too. Depends on how dirty the kids hands are for which one I'm going to use.

This one I talked about in this video...so if you want to know exactly what's in it, go look at it there, time: 5:37 in the video for details. Anyway, I've used it once and then a friend has used it once...totally worth it! What is it? A portable car jumper, so you don't need anything other than this thing, and it totally works and you never have to worry about finding someone to help jump your car because it's self contained. Everyone should own one!

My waterproof blanket, has come in handle so many times I can't count. I just keep it in the car all the time because you never know when you'll need it. Once we went to a play with the kids and the theater put the air conditioning under all of the seats, talk about cold! So got this thing put it on the ground and blocked all of that cold air from hitting us. See, never know when you'll use it!

Last but not least reusable bags? Need I say more?

Honorable mention goes to these guys: The BEST chair possible. It has it's own sunshade, and makes for a square backpack. We all have one and a good portion of the year you will find it in my trunk to watch all of the kids sports stuff.

Comes in handy, I think half of Baby Fox's league has one after seeing ours.

So those are the 10 things always in my car. What do you always have in your car that is totally random?

If you want to join in the fun, here are the topics.

3 Tips For A Spring Clothing Purge

I saw this on Keri Lynn's blog and knew I had to participate when I could. I did my pantry, but not in time to post for this challenge. But if you want to see that, click here.

Tip 1

Try to take away the sentimental value of your clothes. I know it's hard, but how many things in your closet do you still have that you say, I wore this when I did this...or I had this when I turned this age. It's hard, but just do it! You'll feel so much better, and in all reality, you probably have a picture of yourself in that piece of clothing.

Tip 2

If you haven't worn it in 6 months get rid of it, you're not going to wear it. You already know which clothes you consistantly pass over when trying to pick out an outfit. Do yourself a favor and just get rid of it. I got rid of something I've worn twice, it's super cute, but I don't EVER reach for it because I feel like I'm choking when I wear it. I wore it once to work, and actually had to leave work to go buy another shirt because I felt like I was going to suffocate (I"m weird like that I know).

Tip 3

If you think you're going to fit into it at some point...just get rid of it. If you do ever get to that size again...just get something new. There is no need to have something in your closet constinatly reminding you of what you use to be 5 years ago. You are who you are now, embrace it. Don't let your clothes make you feel bad for who you are now. I don't need that negativity in my life, and either do you! So just get rid of it! Then you won't have to see it and be constantly reminded of what used to be.

I try to organize using all of these tips to get rid of things. I don't wear a few times a year, so I thought this would be the perfect time. I forgot to take before pictures. But here are some after pictures.

The bag in the back is our dry cleaning bag. Where do you all keep your dry cleaning bag? If you want a closet tour, I did one here, I haven't changed much except that we added shelves.

Something to note: because of where I live, we don't really have seasons, so I don't need to have different wardrobes. So everything I own is always out. I organize it, tank tops, t-shirts, long sleeves, and then sweaters.

I love that Mr. wanted to participate too. Mostly because he bought a bunch of new t-shirts and I told him he needed to clean out his closet or buy more hangers...he chose to clean out the closet, haha.  Here is everything that we donated from this round.

Of course I put a video together for you.
