10 Spring to Summer Transition Pieces

Linking up with Shay and  Erika for another random discussion.  This month the topic is transition pieces, here are my 10 transition pieces and why I picked them. But first hop on over to The Blended Blog to see what everyones favorite tee is. I know that my favorite tee, isn't being made anymore...wahhh, so I'm definitely going to need some new tees to buy soon!

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 789 / 10

#1, 2, and 3 - I love this sweater, because they are long sleeve but gives your shoulders and arms a little hint that Summer is coming.

#4 - Is light weight so it's perfect for Spring and those cooler Summer nights.

#5 -  Comes in 7 different colors and it's under $30 and is the perfect sweater to wear with a tee or tank, and will definitely take you into the Summer.

#6 - I think everyone should have a jean jacket in their closet. It goes with so many things. It can really dress down any dress and just looks more put together when you add the jean jacket. Whether it's a little more edgy like this one, or more traditional like this one I think everyone should have one.

#7 - I have fallen in love with this skirt. It's perfect for Spring and so easy to dress up or down for Summer.

#8 - Is a knock off of this bootie, and it's more than half the price and pretty darn comfortable.

#9 - Well, it might not give your feet any warmth, but it sure is a cute shoe and it comes in 7 colors.

#10 - Who doesn't love a good flamingo? I've been obsessed with them for awhile now and this is the perfect cross body bag for Spring and straight into those fun Summer months.

TBB Asks: May Entertainment

Hi Foxy Friends! How is it May already? I'm sure everyone is wondering the same thing. But it's the first Monday of the month, which means it's TBB Asks Monday where The Blended Blog asks questions and we answer! It's an easy Monday morning post. So let's get started.

1.  Comedy or Drama?
Depends on my mood, but lets say Comedy. Lately Mr. and I have been into action movies, so is that drama? Personally if Mr. isn't with me, I like a good Rom-Com.

2.  Fiction or Non-Fiction?
Fiction.

3.  Movie in Theater or At Home?
Mostly at home, back when we bought our house, the only thing Mr. wanted was a big tv...click here to see how big it is, and now that we've had it for 9 years, he's wanting to go bigger, not sure if my retina's can handle that! All this to say, I like watching movies at home, so I can pause and go get snack/drink/pee whenever I want and not miss anything.

4.  Musical or Play?
Hmmm, this is a tough one, but I'm going to go with musical. Gotta love me a good musical.

5.  Which Meal of the Day is your favorite to eat out?
Dinner for sure!

6.  Favorite Book ever read?
hmmm....I don't read nearly enough or have a passion for reading to say I have a favorite, but one book I have read over and over, which is a total Rom-Com type of book...

7.  Game Night: Yes or No?
Yes! So much fun, although I am terrible at them, but it's fun to laugh with friends.

8.  Favorite Outside Game to play?
Does red rover count and being clothes-lined when they were too strong for you to break through? Else, freeze tag when I was kid. Or handball, and jump rope...but if I had to pick something right now as an adult? Hmmm...what would it be? Hide and Seek.

9.  Favorite TV Series Ever?
Easy, Gilmore Girls, I've probably watch the entire series, 3-4 times over.

10.  Sitcoms growing up or sitcoms of today?
Sitcomes growing up, Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Alf, and the list continues...we only watch 3, no wait, 4 sitcoms right now. So definitely back in the day.

11.  Minature Golf or Bowling?
Bowling...yep I have my own ball and bowling shoes.

12.  Favorite Movie Theater Candy?
Red Vines, and not Twizzlers, yuck.

13.  How do you like your popcorn?
If I could eat popcorn everyday I would...but I can't. I like white popcorn kernels, cooked on the stove with salt, no butter.

14.  3D movies with glasses? Yes or No?
No? I'm not sure? 3D movies weren't huge until, what? 10ish years ago, when I was with Mr. and he can't see 3D so we've never gone to one. Plus I get motion sickness really easily, so I've sort of avoided them in general. Although when we go to Legoland, they have a 4D short film, and I can handle that, but not sure if I could do a 2 hour movie of it...15 minutes sure, but not 2 hours. So I'm going to go with no. Well that was a bunch of details you didn't want to know.

15.  Favorite Genre of books to read?
Romantic-Comdy...are you getting a theme here? I love all of Emily Giffin books.

Friday Favorites #162

Hi Foxy Friends! It's Friday! Yay! Today is Baby Fox's first jog-a-thon and is super excited about it. Last year we were on vacation when he had his jog-a-thon, so he's pumped and ready to run. You know all 15 minutes they have allotted the kids to run. haha. So let's get to my Friday Favorites:

Monday: April Favorites
Tuesday: Boxy Charm Unboxing
Wednesday: Currently and Favorite Spring Shoes
Thursday: Sentence A Day

I know I posted two videos this week, who am I? Anyway. It would mean the world to me if you subscribed to my YouTube Channel and check out some videos. My most popular one is How To French Braid Your Hair, with close to 69K views!

This weekend my brother decided to come visit...but first Friday we did dinner some new friends. It's always nice to find another family to hang out with. I see us doing lots of stuff together in the future.

Friday my brother got there nice and early so he could make it to Baby Fox's baseball game. It was nice to see him. I only got to see him for a hot second before I had to take Mini Fox to her soccer game.

So Mini Fox's soccer coach is actually a friend from elementary school. He was one of my brother's good friends, so he was happy to see my brother show up a little later. And coach's sister ended up coming too, so it was like a mini reunion. Yes I am that short.

After soccer and baseball were all over, we headed over to the gym for swimming assessments. It's that time of year again when we get the kids into swim lessons.  They are both water safe, but we'd like them to be stronger swimmers, so we continue each summer with a couple of months of a refresher course.

Then the kids, my brother and Mr. had a huge Nerf war, much fun was had by all.

Sunday my brother left bright and early to head home. Meanwhile we decided to go to the Carlsbad Flower fields to take some pictures. We told the kids if they were really good that we would then take them to Legoland for a bit. It worked and I think we got some good pictures.

The opening of the new Legoland hotel was on Sunday, so we stopped by to check it out.

This picture cracks me up.

In the Hotel courtyard they had a whole playground for the kids. So awesome right?

And they had entertainment for them too, they played hide and seek and other games with them.

Then we headed into Legoland and got on 4 rides in an hour, it was awesome. We thought it would be super busy with the hotel opening, but it wasn't bad.

This guy is tall enough to ride on the boat by himself...wahhh, when did he get so big? What you don't see is Mini Fox crying her eyes out because last time we came she was able to go with my cousin's kid who was 48 inches and both my kids weren't but they all got to go on. I guess they changed the rules, because she wasn't allowed...cue the tears for the whole ride.

We headed home and they went for a dip in the spa.

Pretty darn good weekend from start to finish if you ask me.

You guys...these tips...holy cow...going to try some of them out, but in the mean time, one of her tips for strangers taking photos of you, take the photo of yourself of what you want captured and then show the stranger what you are looking for...what?! Genius...how many times have you asked someone for them to cut off your head? No just me? Well I'm trying this next time, not that I have people take photos of me when I don't have anyone I know...but next time I'm all in.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Mr. left today for a week, so I'm alone...with two kids...haha, just kidding it's not going to be that bad...right?
