Weekly Favorites #1

Hi Foxy Friends! I've decided to start calling this my weekly favorites instead of Friday, why? Cause my Friday Favorites was up to #187 and I'm ready to call it something else. So why not, haha. So let's get to it.

Didn't blog that much this week, since we had New Years, but here are the two post I got up this week.

Wednesday: Reversible Skirt Look
Thursday: Sentence A Day - December

Also for those that are nosy like me, here are my Christmas decorations. Then there is my YouTube Channel, that I try to post to once a week. I have a Crock-pot Lasagna recipe coming out soon too, so stay tuned.

So much as happened since we last talk over 2 weeks ago, so I won't bore you with all the photos, just some of them, because why do I blog? To document family life besides sharing the tidbits of random crafts that I like to do. Mr. likes reading my Friday posts to look back on the week too. So let's see....what's interesting that has happened. Mini Fox performed in her preschool Christmas show and she finally got to be Mary and rocked it.

Santa even came to visit after the show and dinner.

Baby Fox had a 2nd grade Christmas party too, which I was thankfully able to go to. I had been suffering from severe vertigo, luckily the school is about a minute drive from us and I got there in one piece.

I also went on to  MNO, had to have someone drive me there, but glad that I could make it!

Christmas eve we did our normal church thing.

Then went back to my parents for dinner and opening gifts. Sad I didn't get a picture of all of us there, darn it!

Christmas morning the kids actually slept until 7:45, miracle and then we opened gifts, they were so darn cute. They wanted to open stockings first.

Then raced down the hallway to see what the tree held for them.

The kids had asked Santa for a bell from his sleigh and that's what they got...Santa put a bunch of cut up paper in the box to hide the bell...

Confetti everywhere...but she had a blast.

Mini Fox's big gift was 4 horseback riding lessons, she had her first one yesterday and LOVED it. She's been bitten by the horse bug...now we just need to win the lotto so we can continue lessons!

Just after gift opening Grandma and Uncle N showed up, so we then opened all of their gifts.

NOTE: Mini Fox is starting Little League in March and she got a helmet for Christmas, she wore it all morning, so dang cute.

Afterwards we got ready for our family to arrive, once they got there, the evening went by so dang quick. Wish it would last longer! Just after dinner a lot of us changed into our matching PJ's. So comfortable. Forgot to take a picture of my outfit, darn.

Then we celebrated Baby Fox's birthday. Cake and a balloon drop, what more could you ask for?

New Years we also decided to host another party, we figure, everything is already set up for Christmas, what's another party a week later?

East Coast ball drop for the kids...

Last people remaining at our Midnight. So proud of that lady there, she hasn't made it to midnight in a few years!

Some things I've been watching around YouTube. I love Us The Duo, they are such a great husband/wife team. I always look forward to their song recaps at the end of the year. Plus this year they have their little baby, who sleeps through the whole thing, amazing!

While we're on singing train, I love Peter Hollens, and this song, put them together and you have a song on repeat.

And one that is not song related but fitness related. Have you guys heard of a channel called Blogilates? I love her, she has a soothing and has good workouts. I've done several of them. I started trying out here yoga for beginniners series...story for another time. But she is starting a 30 day ab challenge. Anyone want to join me? It's just 100 reps each day, we can do this! I'm going to try and catch up the last couple of days...here is the playlist I have started, I will add to it each day.

Happy New Years friends! May this year be your best year yet!

What I Wore For The Holidays

Hello Foxy Friends! Long time to talk huh? So sorry I took that unexpected break. I got really sick (extreme vertigo) just after the last post and couldn't function for 5 days! Thankfully it's gone, but then I got a nasty cold and lost my voice, blah blah blah, anyway. I decided it was God's way of telling me to slow down and enjoy my family, so I did.

Anyway, I'm back and healthy, mostly, and ready to get back at it! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog ladies for our Wednesday Fashion link up. We've come up with some great themes, today's theme is all about what we wore for the holidays. Go on over to the host for the week, Kellyann's blog so see what she wore, probably the most adorable outfits ever.  I was a bad blogger and didn't take any pictures, and then I was going to yesterday, and it was so windy and cold I couldn't muster up the energy. Okay enough with the excuses! I'll show you what I did take.

I went to a Mom's Night Out on Sunday for a pre-NYE celebration, and we had a blast and stayed out till 12:30....I know, party animals. I took this photo to show my other Blended Bloggers I was wearing the skirt we ALL bought! You can too it's on sale, buy it here from Shaunacey. The best part? It's freakin' reversible! Yep the other side is a shiny black, it's awesome.

Skirt / Shirt  (similar) / Blazer (similar) / Heels

So let's chat about my Christmas outfit. Remember I showed you this outfit that I was going to wear? Well the shirt didn't quite work out, so I bought another and I think it turned out even better! Looks like they are sold out, but it's similar to this shape, and has the pattern of this. Of course I took no pictures wearing it. After dinner we all changed into our matching jammies. Which was adorable and comfortable!

Holiday Decororations Tour

Hi Foxy Friends! I know you've all been waiting for this...okay not really. And truth be told, I didn't finish decorating until yesterday so I could do this post for you...so there you have it #alwaysbehind. Anyway, I got it up, so that's what counts, right? So let's get started. One day I'll do a video on it, but today is not that day.

This is considered our "Fancy" Christmas Tree. I actually took a picture before putting up the garland on the stairs so you can see it a little better. Also if you want to see a video on how I decorate this tree, click here.

I also do garland on the stair case. I think next year I might add some more to it, I'm ready to add more, I ran out of time this year...I feel like the days are just swishing by!

Then we have a Christmas tree upstairs that is for all of the ornaments that we get from family and friends and the ones that I had growing up. It's fun to put them on the tree with the kids each year and explain each ornament to them. They love hearing the stories.

Moving onto the tree in the black carpet room (what my daughter calls it), we put a tree in here, becasue typically it is where we set up the drinks and dessert for Christmas dinner, and it's just fun to have a tree there. My mom came over and decorated this one, birthday themed for Baby Fox.

Mr. and I also do a themed birthday tree where we put his birthday gifts. Here are the themes over the years. This year is going to be Lego, we haven't put it up for him yet. Usually we do it on a random night so he can wake up to it. This is from 2015

Last year I saw someone put wreaths on their kitchen cabinets and I knew I wanted to do it again. But I forgot, until Andrea reminded me when she put them on her kitchen cabinets. Copied. This might be my new favorite addition this year. I don't ever want to take it down...

I got the wreaths (they're called Grapevine Wreaths if you wanted to know). You can find them here or here. The ones found here, come in different sizes. So the wreaths on the bigger doors are 8" and the wreaths on the smaller doors are 6", in case you wanted to know.

Our mantel is fun, I just love a good decorated mantel.

We have our manger set up on the table just by the front door. I'm thinking I want to change out that picture so it's holiday themed...

Back to the kitchen, this is where we display our Christmas cards. You can see how I did it here.

If you want to know how to make the cute clips, click here and here.

And last thing I'm going to share are these fake canvas prints I made. I made them for less than $5, I feel better about that, because I only hang them for a couple of months out of the year.

You can see a glimpse over to the right the area behind my kitchen sink. Truth be told I did half of these decorates yesterday. I didn't get around to finishing the area behind my sink. But when I do, I'll make sure to update this post for you!

So what do your decorations look like? Go over to The Blended Blog to link up your decorations!
