Mother Son Outfit And What Up Wednesday?!

It's the last Wednesday of the month and you know what that means, okay maybe you don't, but it means that I'm linking up with Mel, Sheaffer and Shay for:

What we're eating this week:

Some left overs from the weekend, Thai food, Mexican food and then we made some shredded beef to go along with some bean for a burrito bowl.

What I'm reminiscing about:

This picture was taken 4 years ago, it popped up on my newsfeed on Facebook...awww, he was so little here. And barely eating one meal a day, haha.

What I'm loving:

This picture we took last night, Daddy Dog Pile

What we've been up to:

Spending lots of time with my Mother-In-Law, love when she comes to visit! She tries to come every 3 months, so next time is around Thanksgiving, seems just so far away!

What I'm dreading:

The heat during Baby Fox's soccer games...ugh!

She wanted a  pair too, they were just a little big, but they were pink!
What I'm working on:

So excited about this project with some fellow bloggers. Stay tuned for more info!

What I'm excited about:

See above, can't wait to start collaborating and working with some fabulous ladies.

What I'm watching/reading:

If you want to know what I've been reading this week, it's a big fat nothing. But we have been watching the Hobbit series on HBO Go...I didn't particularly care for the books when I was a kid, but the movies make it way more interesting. Perhaps I was too young when I read it the first time around? Thoughts on that?

What I'm listening to:

Another Acappella cover, I'm seriously obsessed with it.

What I'm wearing:

Remember this t-shirt that I bought? Well we found one for Baby Fox too. So of course it's only appropriate for us to take Mother/Son pictures right?

He's getting so big! Soon he's going to be taller than me.

Then we decided that I would throw him in the air...

Mr. said that wasn't good enough, he said this is how it's done, you need to drop your arms to make it look like he's higher...then he said, step aside.

Okay so I tried again and a little harder, you can tell from my face, it's not easy heaving a 38lb kid in the air. Apparently I need to lift some more weight. And please excuse the stomach...

I guess that second try I did a little better, Mr. made fun of me that I still didn't get my arms all the way down. Now to get a longer shirt.

What I'm doing this weekend:

This weekend is my birthday! But I'm actually going to a good friends baby shower that day, but I'll be around good friends, so I can't complain. I might go to an all day spa on Saturday, but my friend said she wasn't sure how she was going to be feeling, she's super pregnant and wasn't really feeling up to anything last week. Hoping she gets better so I can get some girl time in.

Mama to be is second from the left, I've known her since 7th grade.

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Mini Fox's birthday party!

What else is new:

I'm going to do a week long hair challenge (5-7 hair styles) with Vanessa sometime at the beginning of September, and will post the results soon after. We haven't ironed out the details yet, but you should join, even if you just do 1 hair style, do something different take a picture and share it! I'll keep you posted!

Here's my practice from a couple of weeks ago, doesn't look terrific, but I do have to say I felt so much better and put together when my hair was all done up!

Bonus Question: What is your favorite back to school tradition:

Favorite back to school tradition, hands down is buying new school supplies. I can't wait for my kids to need school supplies, okay I can wait, cause I don't want them to ever leave me!

What movie is this?

Baby Fox Immitation

I heart this dress so much, I want to wear it all the time! But alas that whole breastfeeding thing doesn't make it easy to wear this dress in public.

Dress - Target, Shoes - Nordstroms (no longer available), necklace - Groopdealz, Bracelets - Groopdealz
I love how flowy the skirt is. You can't tell, but the floral part is sheer and has a skirt liner that only goes to mid-thigh, so the rest is just free flowing. So comfortable, yet looks put together.

And there is a little cutout in the back, how cute is that?

I was playing kickball with Baby Fox while taking photos. I just really liked this picture.

So here's my random for the day:

Baby Fox is hilarious. I'm sure you knew that already. Before we took these pictures, I was asking Mr. if he could take my picture. Baby Fox said, I want to take your picture! Pose like this Mommy

I can't find his camera right now, but when I do find it, I'll show you the pictures he took of me on his camera.

Every since this, everytime I do an outfit post, he poses like this...

Yes he actually stood still for this many picture, plus the rapid fire on my camera doesn't hurt either

He just kills me!

Another Photo Shoot - 4th Of July

A few days late, but during Baby Fox's first year I did a themed photo shoot for each month, that way when I made the calendar at the end of the year, I had a picture all set to go for each month, genius I tell ya. Okay not really, I did the themed photo shoots (cause when you have 1 kid you have ample amount of time and he was always so patient with me) and then in December when I was trying to figure out what to get our parents, I thought, hey lets do a calendar. So those pictures I had been taking throughout the year really came in handy.

I have been doing the same for Mini Fox, and have been trying to do the same photos that I did for Baby Fox, see here, here and here

So without further adeu here are Mini Fox's Fourth of July photos.

These are the ones we sent out to family and friends:

These I just really liked:

Baby Fox wanted to get in too, but was only patient enough for a few photos, non of which turned out, of course :)

And here are the ones for Baby Fox when he was just 6 months old.

Lesson, need more than 15 minutes to do a photo shoot with Mini Fox. That's all the time I had before we had to leave for our 4th of July plans, super last minute, mostly I forgot until the morning of...haha. Oops! And Baby Fox wasn't crawling yet, so it was much easier to get him to stay put...hehe.

And Then Her Food Was Gone

Right before I go to bed I try to think of something to wear, in my head this outfit came out way different. I really wanted to tie the denim shirt in a knot, but my shirt didn't have enough length, so it didn't work out, but at 4:30am I just didn't have time to figure out another outfit. Oh well.

I do love my new white statement necklace, who knew I was missing one so much, this is a great piece that I know I'll be going to time and time again. I got it off of Jane.com and can't remember who the seller was, sorry!

White Jeans - Loft, Tank top - Target, Shoes - Nordstroms, Necklace - Jane.com

Still loving these shoes! If you don't have a pair, you seriously need to go get a pair.

Baby Fox posing for pictures too...cause that's what all 3 years olds want to do, right? We even sort of coordinate.

Last night Baby Fox asked to feed Mini Fox...we told him of course...it started off like this:

and that was the first and last bite she got, cause he ate the rest...what are big brother's for if you can't jack your sisters food? She was not happy about the situation, she patiently waited for him to give her a bite and then she realized it was gone...

Added Bonus:

Remember when I made this? Well I'm offering one lucky reader a chance to win that and some matching sandals...go visit Words About Waverly to enter. Comment on her blog and tell her I sent you!

Have a great Wednesday!

Looking forward to anything on the weekend?
