Floral Shorts Outfit

Hello Foxy Friends! I'm joining my IG friends tomorrow for a little floral look. I just got these shorts from my Sweetly Striped, as you can tell a lot of my clothes lately have come from them. I can't help it, it's all so cute! I got the last pair of these shorts, but these are very similar. I'm sort of digging the non denim shorts right now, they're more comfortable and they look a little bit more put together with very little effort.

Can we talk about the shoes? I had told you last week I bought them, but now that I have them, everyone needs them! I would give you a close up but my nail polish is chipping and no one wants to see that. Anyway, they are under $20 and SOOO comfortable! I cooked dinner in them last night and they were so comfortable. No blisters first time wearing them. It looks like the black is sold out right now in my size, but the other colors are there, I might have to pick another pair up. They are definitely going to be my go to sandal of the summer!

I got this cute necklace, that is all one piece so no actual layering is happening from my girl, Jessica over at Sweetly Striped.

What are you going to be wearing on repeat this summer? It was 86° here today, so Summer is on the brain right now. See you tomorrow!

Perfect Summer Dress

Hi Foxy Friends! It know I've fallen off the blogging wagon. Not sure what is going on, life I guess? I have all of these ideas, yet the weekends seem to fly by and naps seem really, really nice, so I've been taking those instead of blog pictures. So there's that. One day I'll jump back on the wagon, but for now, you'll get some outfit posts, I can put those together still.

Let's talk about this dress for a second. A friend posted a picture of her in this jumpsuit, so immediately I went to find it. While I was on the website I started looking around and found this dress, and fell in love. I had Baby Fox's First Holy Communion (the next day), and the dress I bought, I decided I didn't want to wear for this occasion. I happened to be going to the mall to return things, so I tried it on and didn't even hesitate to buy it. I did also try on the jumpsuit and it didn't fit, for being so short, I have a long torso, which makes it hard to find jumpsuits that fit me.

Guess what? It has pockets! I know! Right?! Perfect dress.

I love the peek-a-boo color on the longer back side too.

Sort of loving the curls in this picture. I used this curling wand.

This is me trying to be like IG famous...pretending I know what I'm doing? Not sure, but I'm showing you anyway.

I know you're dying to know my make up so here's everything I used.

Side note: just before I put my make up on, I smiled at something and split my lip...if you look closely you can see it just below my left front tooth.

Holiday Attire

Hi Foxy Friends! Wow, it's been a lot of late nights trying to take advantage of Shutterfly's Cyber Monday sales..which they extended till yesterday. So I did our Christmas cards, made a whole calendar and made a 101 page book for my parents, phew! Full confession, 60% of the book was done before I started on Tuesday. Okay, back to the post. It's Vanessa's pick, so head on over to her blog, or The Blended Blog to link up your fashion posts!

If you have been around for a while you know my love affair with tulle skirts. I've been wanting to get a full length tulle skirt and one day I just bought one, and I found it of all places on Amazon! It's way too long on me, need to cut it, I'm going to attempt it myself, but didn't have time before I took these pictures. So I think with it being a little shorter and a little steam it would get rid of the wrinkles. But I'm in love, and can't wait to wear it!

Skirt / Shirt / Heels (not that you can see them)

I love this skirt, even though Mr. is just eh about it. He thinks it's too poofy, I say, no such thing! I mean for uner $40 you can't really beat it. If you have ever wanted to get a tulle skirt, try this one. The tulle is not scratchy, it's lined on the inside, and if you're tall, this will work for you, I'm going to have to trim quite a bit.

Funny when you are wearing something so poofy, if I laid my arms down straight, it made the skirt look weird, so I'm actually holding my arms out about 6" or so....I felt like one of those dancers that don't ever put their arms down straight...you know what I'm talking about.

Let's talk about the shirt now. How perfect is it for Christmas? It didn't end up staying up, which was a disappointment. So I've ordered another shirt, but this one would also work, as it seems the other one is almost out of sizes.

Lipstick color is Lipsense Candy Cane, I have a full video on their new Holiday Collection over on my YouTube channel. Go check it out.

Here is what that other shirt looked like, it was perfect for the gala that we were going to, add chunky necklace and you have yourself a gorgeous low cost outfit.

Alright that's all I have for now. I know the prompts are done, but don't worry, we have a whole new set of prompts for you! We decided instead of doing specific things, we were going to give you a category and you can interrupt however you want. That way it gets your creative juices flowing! Speaking of creative juices, I have another outfit all planned for this skirt, so stay tune for that...now which category will it fit into...I'm thinking December 12th, cause tulle makes me happy.

Fall Booties

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog for our prompt "Fall booties" As I was going through my closet, trying to find an outfit, I realized, I haven't bought any true booties in a really long time! I think I've been mostly buying shoes that are peep toe, so not true booties. Which makes me think...I need to go shopping!

I thought I would share a new dress I got, and how I style it for California Fall. The temps are still pretty high, so we don't really need all the warm things yet. Monday was 90°, enough said.

I love this dress, it's super comfy and perfect for Fall. I can see myself wearing this with tights or leggings to even bring it into Winter.

This dress is really flattering on the figure too. Cinches in at the waist in just the right spots.

Make Up: Foundation / Eye ShadowEyeLashes Blush Eyeliner / Eyeliner for cat eye  / translucent powder/ Lipstick is Lipsense (Nude Pink, Bella, Nude Pink)

Then for those warmer evenings in the fall, I like to pair it with a short bootie.

I'm thinking I need to add some more booties to my closet, STAT! Any suggestions of must have booties right now?

Here are some that I'm coveting right now.

Summer Floral

Hi Foxy Friends! It's another week of TBB Free Style. Where we wear what we want. Don't worry we're working on some awesome stuff come Fall. This is a dress is from Shein, and I haven't completely decided if I like it. I feel like it's more of a tropical vacation dress because it's quite thin. So let's save it for when I get to Hawaii next year...anyone want to come with us? We're going Summer of 2019.

The bracelet on my wrist is actually my fit bit. Tory Burch teamed up with Fitbit to create some cool bracelets so it doesn't look like you're wearing a Fitbit. I like it.

Make Up: Foundation / Eyeshadow / Eyeshadow (used for transition color) / Eyelashes / Blush / Lipstick (in Blossom) / Eyeliner / Eyeliner for cat eye  / translucent powder

What are you wearing for your tropical vacation?

These shorts are like wearing pajama bottoms. So dang comfy, and the little pom pom detail, I'm in love.

Florals and Mermaids Go Together

Hi Foxy Friends! I have two things for you today. First I'm joining the ladies over at The Blended Blog for a little floral style post, and I'm ALSO going WAY out of my comfort zone and tried to do an artistic make up look. I decided I was aiming for a mermaid look...whatever that means, so stay tuned for that.

First up is florals. I'm in love with these floral tops from Old Navy, I do believe I have them in three or four different colors, oops!

Shirt (similar but long sleeve) / Jeans (similar here (high end), and here (budget friendly)) / Shoes (similar)

I really like dark background with light flowers, it's my floral jam. Like this one. I liked it so much I bought it in two different styles. This shirt is similar to the pattern below.

This week I also participated in a new to me make up challenge by Vanessa from Vanessa Loves Make Up. The category was artistic make up. Let me tell you how hard it was for me. I tried doing the halo look. Like she did...

That does not look good on monolids...it was awful. So I decided to get creative and use a cut crease method (something I discovered while trying to scour the internet for artistic make up looks on monolids...not out there by the way) Anyway, this is the look I came up with.

So if you want to see how I got this look, please watch and like the video if you can.

Best Cheap Sunnies

Happy Wednesday Fox Friends! We started something new over on The Blended Blog to help plan your fashion posts, we thought it would be fun to go back to the orginial way we did fashion posts, by bossing your around and telling you what the topic of the week was. This week is sunglasses. Let me tell you, my relationship with sunglasses is a tumultuous one.  Knowing this, I know not to buy expensive ones. Enter the best aviator sunglasses EVER! Actually Mr. bought them first and then I stole all of his, so he ordered more. They are cheap enough you can have a pair in all of your cars, plus your purse. I have them in both the blue and brown.

jumpsuit (same style different print, similar here, and here) / sunglasses

Oh and one of the best parts, built in bra and it's a little padded, so you know if you're cold, no one will be able to tell. I wish I had gotten a size smaller, but it still works. Now to get it hemmed, it's 4 inches too long, haha #shortgirlproblems before summer starts.

The necklace is from my friends shop, she has amazing things and was just featured in OC Fashion week! I adore this one, need to tell her I want one. I have this one and wear it ALL the time, it's my go to if I don't feel like trying to find something, it always works. (not affiliate, just really like her stuff).

No way around taking pictures with sunglasses and not seeing what is in front of you...pool and tripod.

Seriously, these glasses are bomb dot com. Plus they come with a hard shell case AND a glasses sleeve. Talk about getting your money worth.

Also linking up with  Anne and this months co-host Jessica for Currently. This months topics are showering, cultivating, expecting, making, and buying.

Showering: Daily? Not sure what I'm suppose to write? Although a friend of mine is pregnant and will probably have a baby shower, so baby shower? Other then that, nothing.

Cultivating: Baby Fox's karate skills. He is doing so well. We stopped for about 4 months and are back at it and it was like no time has passed. I'm excited to see how he grows from here.

Expecting: To got to the beach a LOT this summer. Last summer, well Fall (September and October) we started going a lot with the kids and they had a blast. Now that they are older and more independent we can sit and watch them and not have to play with them the whole time we are there.

Making: Trying out new recipes. I'm starting a new series over on my YouTube channel about trying out random recipes I find and documenting what went wrong, what I would do different the next time. I've tried (but didn't document) Instant Pot Risotto, and it turned out great and it was super easy! I also tried cooking a whole chicken in the Instant Pot, SO yummy!

Buying: Ulta has their 21 days of beauty and they had my favorite eyeliner for half off! So naturally I bought 2, and then I had to get to free shipping, so I bought another one of my favorite eyelash curler (cause it was $5 off, still is) and going to try a new hair mask. Friday they have my favorite Tarte Lip Paint, it's good...you should get some, it's only $10 (normally $20) a tube...worth it! I might pick up enough to get to free shipping, hehe.

Link up your fashion posts below, thank you for making this link up such a success!

Winter Floral Dress

Hi Foxy Friends! After taking a week off, I'm back with another outfit. This time I decided to style a dress, and to make it a little more "winter" appropriate, I added some OTK boots. Which I am completely obsessed with and love!

I am loving this dress, it is a little shorter than I would normally wear, but it's perfect for a girls night out or a date night. It's the perfect little dress for under $30!
