A Day In My Life: July 2018

Today I'm linking up with Kristin for her Daily Dime, I thought instead of doing a weekend I would do a random weekday. I decided to document Thursday, July 12th, which turned out to be super not  the ordinary day. Some background I take a vanpool to work, it's through enterprise and my work, and I carpool with 7 other people, this particular van has a dedicated driver.

3:37am - Oops I slept in 15 minutes! But had enough time to pee, wash face, put on some light make up, brush hair and of course get dressed.

3:49am - Out the door to drive to the pick up spot.

4:37am - Van drops me off in front of my building.

4:40am - Sitting at desk, ready to work. (so dusty...I promise I dust and clean)

5:20am -  Can't handle it, need to eat something, I eat my protein bar (I eat one of these every morning)

5:30am - Continue working.

9:00am - Meeting

11:30am - Get take out with work peeps, looking forward to this all week.

12:59pm - Go outside to meet van for pick up to go home, we're going home early today, yay!

2:03pm - Arrive back at the vanpool meet up spot.

2:05pm - Decide to go to Target to see if I can find the First Day of School Chalk Board (they come out this time of year every year)

2:15pm - Return something to Target, and run over to the dollar spot to see if they have the chalk boards, I'm losing hope, and find it in the last spot I look, there are 7 left, I buy all of them.

2:31pm - Arrive home to find my dad picking up the kids to go to the libaray, and Mr. came home early from work, yay!

3:30pm- Leave to go to the library to pick up kids so I can take Baby Fox to karate while Me and Mini Fox go to the gym.

4:01pm - Drop Baby Fox off at Karate

4:05pm - Waiting for Mini Fox to finish using the restroom

4:20pm - Make it over to the gym for my favorite class and friend set me up so I got a spot. Love when people offer to get me a spot, so thankful for gym friends!

5:45pm - Class is over and I head over to pick Mini Fox up from the Kids place

6:01pm- Pick up Baby Fox from Karate

6:25pm - Arrive at parents because Baby Fox forgot his blankie in my dad's car, when he took them to the library.

7:06pm - Back in the car driving home because the kids are starving.

7:18pm - Mr. gives the kids a bath while I fix a quick dinner

7:35pm - Eat dinner

8:30pm - Start getting kids ready for bed.

8:50pm- Kids are down and I am finishing up my blog post for Friday.

9:35pm - Taking shower and the lights go off, have to finish my shower by lantern, that Mr. brought when I yelped for HELP! Showering in completely darkness is strange and very horror flickish.

10:11pm - Mr. tells me that our new umbrella has solar lights. We turn them on to see what they look like, pretty darn cool! And much brighter than we thought they would be.

10:20pm - Come to realization that we are not getting power back before we go to bed...so we sit on the couch and talk a bit...before going to bed.

11:00pm - Decide to go to bed.

3am - Mini Fox wakes up and freaks out that there are no lights on in her room (she has the bightest night light of life).

3:02am- Mini Fox's crying wakes up Baby Fox, he starts to break down a bit, but composes himself when I tell them that they can both have a lantern in their room. (I have stashed enough for each of us around the house)

3:05am - I retrieve all of the lanterns, turn them all on, tuck the kids back in and go back to bed.

3:10am - I am back in bed...but this is the time I normally wake up...so lay there for a while, eventually i fall back asleep, the last I looked the clock said 3:30am.

7:03am - Power is finally back on! I knew you guys would want to know that info.

Woah, that was a long day and a few hours. Thanks for getting through that with me. This was a totally abnormally busy day, okay my days are busy, but usually not THIS busy...and exciting with no power.

A Day In The Life

I am linking back up with Lizzie , Sierra , Danielle , Emily, and Lindsay for Girl Chat. This month we're sharing A Day In The Life. I love documenting these days, because sometimes I just take pictures of the good stuff and not the "mundane" stuff. I know I'm going to love looking back on these when the kids are older and this age is just a distant memory. I decided to document last Saturday. It was a bit of a crazy day and I forgot to document the beginning of it, oops! Already a fail, but I continued on...

I let Baby Fox sleep with me on Friday night, so going into Saturday morning we woke up together. He woke up a little earlier then I wanted, so I sent him downstairs to watch some tv.

I eventually realized I had to feed the minions breakfast so I could get everyone to their sporting events on time. We just got these frozen waffles, I haven't ever bought frozen waffles and these just looked cute, so I figured let's give them a try for weekends like this. The kids want waffles but I don't have time to make them. They were a hit, Baby Fox ate 8 (they are about 1.5 inch circles). Mini Fox could care less, okay enough about waffles.

Got the both kids ready in their uniform and cleats on (man getting long socks and cleats on...a workout in itself. I dropped Mini Fox off at my parents so they could take her to soccer.

While I drove Baby Fox to Laguna Beach for his game.

That's him pitching

Baby Fox is in Single A Little League, which means they start pitching to each other half way through the season. Baby Fox was itching to pitch and I am so happy he finally got to pitch, the last inning of the season. He did great! I videoed it for Mr. who was on a plane flying home.

Meanwhile back at my parents, Mini Fox was practicing for my parent's church Mother's Day tea...she's so cute.

After Baby Fox's game, I picked up Mini Fox from my parents and we headed over to Baby Fox's team party.

Last game of the season, seems like just yesterday that we started, the season was definitely too short!

After the team party we headed to Costco to get some food and of course Costco got me and we bought  a bunch of stuff that we really didn't need. Like these things...they are floaties for the pool, I hope they work in the pool.

Also saw a lady doing hand dipped strawberries, had to get some of those too, right?

We got home and the kids were wiped, so we watched Finding Dory while we waited for Mr. to get home.

Mr. finally got home, the kids couldn't get to the front door fast enough. So nice to have Mr. back in the country.

Immediately they started asking where their gift was. Mr. had previously told them he got us all gifts.

After gifts I ran to the grocery store to pick up cake mix to make my mom for Mother's Day. I forgot a bag and gosh darn I am not paying 10 cents for a plastic one.

Mr. was pretty hungry so I volunteered to go get him his favorite Mexican burrito.

Do you see how much stuff is in that burrito? That's why he likes it there so much. This is also the place that we always get our catering from. Everyone always loves Mexican.

We chowed down and the rest of the evening was spent together playing and relaxing together.

Mr. was super tired with it being a 15 hour time difference. So we went to bed just after the kids, it was nice getting so much sleep.

A Day In My Life In 10 Pictures

Linking up with Kristin again for Daily Dime, this time I took pictures of a random Monday when Mr. was gone on a business trip so I was working from home.

April 9th

Mr. left for a buisness trip early in the morning...boo! 5 days without him...yikes!

I took the morning off of work, so I got up about 7am, and did some stuff around the house before the kids got up. I got to eat breakfast with Baby Fox (Mini Fox was still asleep).

I don't usually get to do this, but got to take Baby Fox to school too. Love when I get to drop him off at school.

Got home and Mini Fox was up and so I sat with her while she ate breakfast too.

Her favorite breakfast is toast with cream cheese and scrambled eggs. She makes it a sandwich.

After the kids were gone, I got some work done.

Then before lunch I headed to Costco to get myself my favorite salad, since we were gone for the weekend, I didn't get a chance to go over the weekend.

Later in the evening I took Mini Fox to gymnastics (she's upside down on the even bars behind the green and yellow log).

Then after her gymnastics, we rushed over to see the last 2 innings of Baby Fox's baseball game.

Got the kids home, baths, dinner and bed by 8:45pm.

So that is my random Monday of taking half day vacation and half working from home. I love documenting these days, cause I know in 20 years I'm going to forget all of these little things.

Day In The Life

Last year I sporadically linked up with Kristin for her Daily Dime, and I thought I would really try to do it this year and be more consistent.  So here we go, I picked yesterday to document, mostly because I forgot I was doing this post and I happened to work from home yesterday, so I thought, hey I've never documented that before. So here we go.

The reason I was working from home was because I had a doctors appointment and Mr. had the day off for Presidents Day (I did not), so this is a doubly weird day for us.

I wanted to get up at 6...but being sick I needed the extra sleep.

The view from my bedroom "office" aka a card table set up in our sitting area.

I loved hearing the kids help out with chores, they knocked on the door and needed to come get the laundry...team work down the stairs.

Lunch with Mr., I was working, so I threw on some clothes, no make barely brushed hair...

We had to stop and get gas. Please ignore those bags under the eyes, hence why I need concealer, haha.

Talked to my cousin while driving to my allergy appointment, the conversation lasted 15 minutes.

When I got to the doctors...this is the view of the walk...oops the power just went out...waiting 30 minutes for them to reschedule...boo! Now I have to come back and I was hoping to get some better meds for my sinus stuff. It was a really creepy walk.

I worked a bit more then headed to gymnastics for Mini Fox and Trampoline class for Baby Fox.

Some friends were driving through and needed a break from the traffic before heading home, I grabbed some Chick-Fil-A  and then the boys (yep including Mr.) got in a Nerf war, while the mommy's talked and watched. The girls were playing dolls else where.

To end the night this guy needed some surgery on his wing, so I stitched him up.

Now I need to go print off a picture of Shaun White for Baby Fox's report and then shower and bed. So that is a random Monday around these parts. Really random since a friend and two of her four kids came over. But really nice to see them, they live about 125 miles north of us, so we don't get to see them all too often.

Join in next month! I think she's going live March 14th.
