Happy Weekend. I'm at Legoland and trying to write this post before we take off (Thursday afternoon).   I should be packing...So this one might be short.

I am finally, finally down to going to get allergy shots every 2-3 weeks...I can't believe I'm 4 appointments away from only having to go once a month!

I found my black leggings! They were still packed in a suitcase. I've been looking everywhere for them! But when I got the suit case out to pack for Legoland there they were...funny enough the last time I used the suitcase was for Legoland...haha!

This Engineering mama can't be more proud of her son, who put together his very first circuit...it was a speaker. Is it ok that I want to play with it when he's not around?

So happy to be headed back to this place with my cousin and her kids. Just us Mama's and a bunch of kids. Wish us luck, we're all sharing a room :)

Picture Perfect: February

Back linking up with Whitney, Courtney, Beth and Elizabeth, Stephanie and Desiree for another month of The Picture Perfect Project.

Last month I told you that I wanted to try and take deliberate pictures for our yearly calendar. I figured this month, no brainer, I'm going to do a V-day inspired theme...so I buy them some PJ's...and of course the subjects are too wiggly. What I think I am going to learn in the next 10 months, and my new goal is to get good at taking quick in focus shots. I can't tell you how blurry so many of the pictures I tried to take were. Arg...I tried auto focus, then I tried manual. I think my new goal is to stop using auto and start using manual and getting proficient at it. I'll keep you posted. So here are the few goods ones that I got...there may or may not have been a LOT of bribing going on.

V-Day Outfit and Hair Challenge Link Up #6

Can you believe it's week 6 of the Hair Challenge?! Crazy talk I tell ya.

Last Wednesday I just wanted it out of my face and I just watched this tutorial the night before, so I thought, perfect for a Wednesday. You can't tell, but it's a loose half braid and then you twist it, super simple but looks put together.

Thursday, I just did some loose braids and tied it in the back. For this style, before I curled my hair I used the KMS Tame Frizz Taming Creme* when I curled my hair the night before and then used a little  Bed Head Rockin Gel Pomade* before I braided. I think they turned out way less frizzy.

Also the day I matched my Mama.

Friday I had the day off so I had some time to put together a fun Valentine's look for you guys! I got this skirt at White House Black Market back at the beginning of January, and it was love at first site! They had two left and one of them was my size (sorry they are sold out online, but they might have some in store)! And the cute shirt (still available*), was hanging right above it, begging for me to take it home too.

Want to know the best part of the skirt? It has pockets! Anything with pockets is a win in my book!

I had some fun taking these pictures, since I knew it would be a Valentine's outfit...I think it would be fun too with a cute pair of bright pink or red heels too.

I guess you want to see my hair too huh? I got this style from Annie from Annies Forget Me Knots. Gorgeous right? And super easy...Just a little time consuming, fishtail braids are like that though. I still had the curls from the day before, so I added a little of the KMS Gel Wax* some more of the Bed Head Rockin Gel Pomade* before braiding.

Saturday, fresh hair and I did these braids. I used the Bed Head Shampoo*and Conditioner* before I went to bed. When I woke up I used the Control Freak* and then used a little Bed Head Rockin Gel Pomade* I really do think the extra product is working! I'll keep letting you know what I use. Mr. says this is his favorite that I've done since I started. He thinks they look really sweet. 

Next time I'll have better awareness of where I am placing the braids, so they won't be so close together and lopsided...I just didn't have time to fix it.

Oh and for you...you know who you are...haha!

Sunday, Super Bowl, I wanted to try to do some loose braids and then criss cross them to make it like a half halo braid.  I think this would work better with curled hair so that the tails of the braid aren't so obvious. I used a little Pomade with these, but had the same products from the day before.

Yesterday to work I wanted to try this waterfall braid. I have been trying to do this for a while and I finally found a tutorial that made sense. I think it's because I wasn't mirror imaging her so it was easier to visualize what I was supposed to do?

I think this one looks so cool.

And I thought I would show you what it looked like, this was probably the third try. Yep I'm in the bathroom at work trying to fix it, haha! Shhhh, don't tell anyone. I tried it in the morning, but I really only give myself about 5 minutes to do anything with my hair, so I get one try, maybe two...it didn't work out, but I really wanted to try it, I took a picture because I had no idea what it looked like...yep, not good! See it takes a lot of practice...and I've been trying this braid out for a while now with no luck, this is the first time it actually worked!

I wanted to say happy birthday to my Mom! She's the best mom a girl could ask for, she loves and adores our kids, does anything for us and helps out even if it's not convenient for her and is the best chick flick partner anyone could ask for! Happy Birthday Mommy! Oh and we wore the same exact outfit to her birthday dinner! How funny is that? I have to say I totally didn't mind and was sort of proud that my mom is hip enough to put together an outfit that Lisa told us to wear today :)

I did my very first Haul Video, I'm all sorts of awkward, I actually did this video really quick before taking off my make up after my date with Mr.

This girl, thought she was hiding from me...she was facing me and I said, I can see you, and then she turned around...well duh, now I can't see you!

This kid...his homework, he's doing math in preschool! Crazy! When did they start learning math in preschool?!

This is what happens when your 5 year old steals your phone (literally right out of my hands) while trying to take a selfie of my hair style and then goes to town with the camera...there are 15 more of these before I got my phone back.
