Friday Favorites #69

In case you missed it on the blog this week:

Monday: Kids Behind the Blog (Videos included)

These we taken the last part of April, but for some reason I haven't really been doing weekend recaps, I'm going to do it here for now. These two just love each other so much. I love that they even share a single stroller. When I take them to the gym, they have to go to separate places and when they are reunited they run to each other like it's been years since they saw each other instead of just an hour, but that hug is the best hug ever. Same with nap time, whenever she wakes up from a nap, they hug each other like they are long lost siblings.

These two kids made the best Mother's Day gift...how perfect is this? Super cute right? They told me that it was hard to explain the concept to Mini Fox...but I think she did pretty good for 2. I love it so much! It's currently on my mantel.

*This is picture heavy, skip to #4 if you don't want a Disneyland Recap

Like I said last Friday I was going to take Baby Fox to Disneyland to experience Paint the Night Parade (aka Electrical Lights Parade) and the fireworks display. It didn't rain, we went despite the clouds and had a great time!  Fresh from school and ready for some Disneyland.

He really enjoys the Stars Wars Launch Bay, they have video games and stuff to look at from the movies and then if you walk upstairs you can meet the characters.

Then we hit up Star Tours, he was so excited, his first time and he LOVED it, except the light speed, he said he didn't really like that part. All night he asked to go on it again.

After that we hit up Autopia, he told me he wanted to drive...can I say good thing he still has a few years to go, he's a crazy driver!

Then of course we need a churro break right?

Then we hit up Buzz Lightyear, I dominated...yep over my 5 year old...

I tried to get a picture of scores on the same screen...fail.

Then we headed out to ride on Dumbo. Had to take this picture, there wasn't anyone around!

Then we met up with some friends, they wanted to go on one ride before dinner...Baby Fox...he did not want to go on the Carousal and wanted to get dinner...haha.

There wasn't more than a 30 minute wait on anything and the kids were great waiting the two hours for the parade to start! I know people are crazy, but when in Rome...we grabbed dinner after the Carousal and headed to get a spot for both the parade and the fireworks show. We got a great seat right in front of the castle!

And then waited...and waited...and waited...but then it got dark and the magic happened!

Tinkerbell started the parade.

Monsters Inc!

Waving at one of the Princesses.

Probably this one...

Minnie and Mickey ended the parade...

The paraded ended and all we had to do was turn around to watch the fireworks...worth the 2 hour wait! Except...there was too much wind and there was no fireworks...but the kid didn't know Baby Fox said it was worth the 2 hour wait to see the parade.

It was so cool being this close to the castle without people blocking the way...highly reccomend!

Saturday we headed out to our cousin's 1st birthday party! And guess what was there? An In and Out truck! How fun is that?

We got our orders in early...we were actually on time for the party, miracle of all miracles there was no LA traffic.

The cake...do you see that over there? It's a hamburger!

The birthday boy...best smash cake EVER! Usually the kids are all hesitant...but not this little guy, it was awesome.

1st Birthday Smash Cake

Although he did have some help to get it to that up there.

I sort of love this photo...perhaps we'll use this one instead of the one I did yesterday for the calendar...what do you think?

In and Out Hamburgers

I've been missing my weekly outfit posts, so here is two weeks worth of outfits. I missed a day because I forgot to take a picture, darn. But here it is. I'm actually getting to the end of my closet...I have a few t-shirts, some shirts I decided to giveaway and then some tank tops that I can't really wear to work...so now what? What should be my new goal?

Outfit Of the Day

Hope everyone has a great weekend. My Mother In Law is coming to town for exactly 26 hours so we have to make the most of it!

Picture Perfect Project: May

So excited to be back linking up with  WhitneyCourtneyBeth  and  Elizabeth,  Stephanie  and  Desiree for another month of The Picture Perfect Project.

Our Pretty Little Girls

I'm so happy that I've been participating in this link up each month. I know it's going to help me make our family calendar at the end of the year so much easier to make! Last year was super hard to find pictures I wanted to showcase...so this year I've been deliberately taking pictures each month to use in the calendar. This month is Mother's Day, so of course I was going to do a Mommy and kids shoot. We did this after church on Sunday, found some pretty flowers and snapped away. We take so many pictures in our backyard I wanted a different background for May. Of course only one picture turned out, semi-okay, but you know what? That's life...and I'm okay with that.

Style Perspectives: A blazer and Sneakers and Hair Challenge Week 19

Today we're styling Carrie's prompt: A Blazer, Jeans, Tank and sneakers. When I read this prompt, I was like, huh? Blazers and sneakers?  What is going on? But you know what, I did what Carrie told me to do and I liked it! I got these Converse while in Vegas, actually Deena bought the same pair...because when you're outlet shopping and they have a buy one get one 50% off you find your closest friend...I was more than happy to help out.

Okay back to the outfit. Most of my blazers are darker colors. I do have this one bright blue blazer that I have yet to wear...need to figure out an outfit, I just know it's going to be super cute if/when I figure out how to wear it...Loft sales, you get me every time! Back to the topic...I knew I wanted to use my new pink converse, so I based my outfit around that. Do any of you do that? Decide you want to wear a certain thing and then plan your whole outfit around that. Well that's what I did...I think it worked out pretty well. And it was super comfy, great outfit for a casual date night!

I just love these shoes! Apparently I need to figure out how to cutely model shoes...this is pathetic.

Purple Converse

And here is my hair shots. I really liked wearing my hair like this. Super fun and something a little more fancy than just a plain ponytail, but still felt casual.

*I did buy these with my own money, but linked products are affiliates and I will receive a small commission if you click on it. Thank you for your support!

In case you missed it, last week was Leggings and a Scarf look by Katie. Here is how everyone styled it, I know for many it was going out of their comfort zone, but I like that everyone tried something new for them. This is what it's all about, trying things you wouldn't normally try.
Onto some hair things. Guess what? Since I was such a failure last week, I upped my game and actually did my hair this week! Okay well I did my hair the same twice...but I still count it. The second time I did the hair style it got better, so I'm counting it. I've seen the small top knot around and thought it was super cute, and Ellie did a video on it, and thought, hey that is pretty easy, so the very next day, small cute top knot it was.

Top Knot

Thursday I just wanted to my hair out of my face, and I love braids, so I braided it in a half crown type thing.

Friday we were off to Disneyland and I just didn't want it all up, so I braided it and tied it back. I love doing this style so much, easy and looks put together. I would like to add, this is after a full day at Disneyland, I forgot to take a picture before we left...so this is after 10 hours...it's a little messy, and I look massively tired.

I thought the top knot was cute, so cute that I did it again on Saturday. It was the perfect style for a 1 year old birthday party. But the second time I did it, I actually tied it with a hair tie for before starting the bun, I thought it came out way better, and not as fluffy. Again I forgot to take a picture before leaving for the day...so 12 hours later and this is what you get.

Sorry for the poor lighting.

Sunday, for Mother's Day I wanted a soft romantic type look, so I did some twists and made it a half crown, sort of like this.

So there you have it, not failing at this hair thing this week. We'll see how I do this coming week...I'm feeling pretty lazy. And I really need a hair cut...like bad! I just can't seem to find the time to actually get one done! Now go check out how every else styled this weeks prompt!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Personal Style

Hello Foxy Friends! Back linking up with Andrea again for Show and Tell Tuesday. Unlike last time...when I misread the prompt and actually DID a pinterest...this time I think I've got it right...maybe...probably...

This time we're supposed to talk about "Our Personal Style", funny because over on The Blended Blog we're doing a series called Style Perspectives where each of the contributors picked their signature style and then the rest of us had to dress that prompt. It's been super fun to see how many different outfits can come out of one prompt. My prompt was White Pants, cause who doesn't love white pants? I know they can be intimidating, but really they go with anything and everything! Just carry a stain stick around and you're good to go.

I styled it 4 different ways:

Casual Look // Fancy Look // A Summer Look // All White Look

One of the prompts that I loved the most? Shaunacey's Bright Pants look. This short sleeved jacket was the very first consignment purchase I've ever made, at the time I just loved it, but had no idea how to wear it! Several years later...I finally styled it! Took me long enough right?

I've repeated this jacket several times since then. Once when The Blended Blog went to Vegas. Surprisingly it keeps you pretty warm. I"m sad that it's staring to fall apart, so not sure how many more uses I'm going to get out of it...boo!

But I think my favorite "Mom" look is pants/shorts, t-shirt, statment necklace of some sort. It's easy, I can throw it on quickly and be out the door in minutes.

And you can't forget a fun hairstyle! I started the Hair Challenge 2016 this year, and have no regretted it one bit. Yes it takes me a bit longer to get ready but having your hair done just makes you feel a little better about everything in general :)

For those that are intimidated by hair, I put together an easy way that I French Braid. After watching many youtube Videos, I see that I don't necessarily braid like everyone else does, so I tried to record how I do it, hopefully it makes sense! Take a look and tell me what you think.

What is your personal Style? What are must haves in your closet that maybe I have to go buy...right now :)
