My 10 Favorite Movies and TV Shows

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Mother's Day for all of your Foxy Mama's out there. We had a really great day, church with friends followed by shopping by myself  and then some movie watching with the kids and popcorn (my favorite food on earth), and then dinner with my parents. Couldn't have been a better day. But today I am linking up with The Blended Blog for the Monday prompt, favorite Movies and TV shows...I'm going to ignore the books part, because I haven't been reading much.

Let's do 5 of each, cause, I like things to be even. So let's get started:

Obsessed with this movie right now. And the behind the scenes on the video...loved it all! If you haven't seen it, go see it right now, and then fall in love with the music and all the characters with me.

I just love the overall message of this, and everyone loves a good Cinderella movie right?

I liked this movie a lot and loved seeing the background of Wonder Woman, as I had no idea where she came from. They did a really good job with this movie.

Have you seen any of these movies? I loved the whole trilogy. Usually you don't like them all, but each one is different it its own way.

Something that we'll always watch when one comes out.  These aren't all of them, but we're always entertained. Doesn't take much to entertain us. These aren't my favorite of all time, but some of the movies that we've been watching lately.

Need I say more about this one?

This so is so dang funny. If you haven't seen it, it's a great comedy.

This is a Netflix original, and such a unique concept. Defintely a good summer show to watch. Oh and do the subtitled version and not the English dub. I think you get more out of it hearing how it was originally done.

Also another Netflix original and super unique that has you wanting more. Unfortately it did get canceled, bur rumor has it they are coming out with a movie to wrap it all up.

I think this is also a Netflix original, man netflix is killing it. Such a great concept for a show, I don't want to give it away, but go watch it, it does not disappoint. Very Sci-Fi, so if you aren't into that, then this is not for you.

What are some of the movies and tv shows you like that we should watch? We just recently started watching Glitch, it's about people coming back from the dead, but not as zombies as themselves and not remembering that they were dead. It's super interesting, we're only 4 episodes in, but so far, so good.

Friday Favorites #163

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Only 1 more day left until Mr. gets home! Woo hoo! So far it hasn't been to terrible. We are so busy with after school activities that I haven't had much time to think about anything else...so that's good. But let's get to this weekends Favorites.

In case you missed it this week on the blog:

Monday: TBB Asks - Entertainment Edition
Wednesday: 10 Spring to Summer Transition Pieces
Thursday: 10 Things That Motherhood Has Taught Me

Bonus: On Sunday, Mother's Day, I am posting on my YouTube channel about Baby Fox's birth story. So if you are a sucker for a birth story, don't miss out here.

Last week I got to volunteer at Baby Fox's school for his Jog-a-thon, it was so cute all of the 1st and 2nd graders running around the track. Before picture.

The only picture I got of Baby Fox, he's behind the kid in the hat, next to the tall kid. How is that kid in 2nd grade?! I ran a couple of laps with him too.

After picture, I just love that his teacher participated with them and ran the whole time with them.

With my hot sticky sweaty boy.

We went to our friends house for dinner. I was picking up some food, and while we waited we got some frozen yogurt, makes sense to get dessert before dinner right?

Our friends, the wife was gone to a play, Mr. was gone too, so what do two type A people do while the spouses are away? Organize of course.

This guy followed me around everywhere I went...

Saturday was a really full day.  My dad took Mini Fox to her soccer game, while I took Baby Fox to his baseball game. The way the timing worked out Dad and Mini Fox were able to make it to a lot of Baby Fox's game. Baby Fox played a good game.

After all the games we headed to lunch of Mini Fox's choosing. She picked Corner Bakery for their Mac and Cheese.

Afterwards we headed home to change and get ready for a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese...my most favorite place ever...hear that sarcasm?

We went home to meet up with some other friends for dinner. It was definitely a full day. Perfect way to do the first day of many without Daddy. I promise Baby Fox was happy to have friends over, he just didn't want me taking his picture, haha.

The aftermath of 5 kids, mostly two of the littles girls.

Other things that happened this week. Sunday we filmed another video for the kids YouTube Channel.

I got a fitbit and Tory Burch has a bracelet that you can put your fitbit into to make it look like a bangle. I love it! I bought two bangles and a leather band wrap around one. I love them so much more than the rubber band they give you.

Tuesday I wanted to sign up Baby Fox for summer camp and because of the popularity of the camp, you have to sign up in person...this was the line when I got there, insane. Don't worry he got in, and is super excited. Next year he's going to be able to take the full camp, instead of Junior camp. He's super excited about that.

Also the kids are super flexi. Mini Fox has been trying to copy Baby Fox doing his bridge.

Mini Fox finally got it this week! She was super excited about it. The first couple she did I was a little worried about her neck, but she finally got it and can now pretty much do it without my cringing about her neck. (she was getting her hands and feeting into postion and then would use her head to help push herself up...causing her neck to bend in crazy ways).

And of course a video.

I have also been working on my Pinterest game a bit...as in I was bored one day and was trying to make highlights for my IG, but ended up making covers for my Pinterest boards (because that took a lot less thought then trying to think of what I wanted to highlight in my life). It's a lot of work, as I have a lot of boards, but so far I'm liking how it's looking. If you don't already, please follow me over on Pinterest.

Mr. gets home tomorrow! Woo hoo! We're so excited to have him back home with us! Just in time for him to be super jet lagged (he's currently 15 hours ahead of us) and for Mother's Day.

10 Things Motherhood Has Taught Me

Last year I participated with Erin for 10th on the 10th and she's continuing it this year, click here for those posts. This month in honor of Mother's Day we are talking about 10 things Motherhood Taught Me. Let's get into it.

ONE | Love

The love for your child is like nothing else I have experience. Yes I love my family and my husband but my love for my kids...deep. You know that game when you ask...who would you save if you were all drowning? Yeah Mr. asked me that once when Baby Fox was a wee child, and my immediate response was Baby Fox, without hesitation. It hurt Mr.'s feelings, but as a Mother, we would save the kids...that was morbid....but you get my drift, I hope. The other day (at 4:50am) there was an earthquake, and my immediate reaction was to jump out of bed and grab the kids...luckily neither one woke up and I didn't need to, but I was ready...I have no idea what I would have done after that, perhaps I should start thinking about that.

TWO | Patience

Nothing tests your patience like a kid trying to buckle his/her own seat belt. Man that is the worst when they want to do it themselves, yet they don't have the strength yet to do it on their own. You know this, but then need to learn each time they get in the car...when you're in a hurry.

THREE | Pretend Play

I was never that great at pretend play. Heck I'm an engineer, we are all numbers and facts. But being a mother made me pretend play like no other. Want me to sound like a horse? Yep, want me to kiss like a giraffe, I can do that too. (yep both of things has been asked of me)

FOUR | Short Order Cook

Yep, I've turned into a short order cook. I don't always do it, but in order not to eat like a 4 and 7 year old, I do sometimes make myself and Mr. something and then the kids something else. I hope I am not the only one...

One of my all time favorite pictures of Baby Fox...he did not like carrots
FIVE | Perspective

What use to be so important to me before, no longer matters. What matters is my family, our health and the little things that used to drive me crazy. Don't bother me as much. I have two healthy kids who I am forever grateful for.

SIX | The Art of Lying

Yep I said it. I lie to them sometimes. Like when I said that we leave the Easter Baskets out for the Easter Bunny, because this Mama doesn't want to have to buy an Easter basket every year, and Baby Fox asked so we put it outside because the EB doesn't come inside. haha, good catch there son...almost caught me in my own lie. So yes we leave the Easter baskets outside for the bunny to fill them. Also so we wouldn't have to rush in the morning and have to do the whole Easter egg hunt before church...we told them that EB knows when you go to church and comes while you're gone.

SEVEN | Pain Management

You thought I was going to talk about natural birth right? Nope, I meant the ability to scream silently when you step on a lego in the middle of the night and don't want to wake up the whole house.

EIGHT | Conviction

Before kids I knew basically nothing about them. I had never changed a diaper before, didn't really hold any babies before, but as soon as Baby Fox was born I suddenly had all of these strong stances on things that I didn't even know I had. Like when to feed him, what way to hold him, how to bathe him...silly things like that, but I had an opinion on how they should be done.

NINE | The Art of Starvation

I am that person that always thinks about her next meal and the meal after that and the meal next week. But when it comes to the kids, if I have to give them my food so that they won't be hungry. I have no problem with doing that, unless I've gotten everything for everyone and the movement I sit down they want more milk...nope they've gotta wait until Mama gets a few bites in to take the edge off.

TEN | Grateful

I know we're all grateful for our family, friends and everything in our lives. But I am truly grateful that God gave me these children to raise. To raise to be good humans, to care about each other and others, to treat other like they would be treated and to show them everything I know. Each night as I look at them while they are sleeping, I stand there in awe that these tiny humans completely rely on me. That even when I feel like I am the worst mother on earth for yelling a little to much, for forgetting something important to them. They forgive so easily, without batting an eye. Something that us adults should follow. Their hugs are the best, the kisses are wonderful and the look they give you when you get home from a long day of work, makes waking up at 3am totally worth it.

What have you learned since becoming a parent?

Linking up with Shay and  Erika for another random discussion.  This month the topic is transition pieces, here are my 10 transition pieces and why I picked them. But first hop on over to The Blended Blog to see what everyones favorite tee is. 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 789 / 10

#1, 2, and 3 - I love this sweater, because they are long sleeve but gives your shoulders and arms a little hint that Summer is coming.

#4 - Is light weight so it's perfect for Spring and those cooler Summer nights.

#5 -  Comes in 7 different colors and it's under $30 and is the perfect sweater to wear with a tee or tank, and will definitely take you into the Summer.

#6 - I think everyone should have a jean jacket in their closet. It goes with so many things. It can really dress down any dress and just looks more put together when you add the jean jacket. Whether it's a little more edgy like this one, or more traditional like this one I think everyone should have one.

#7 - I have fallen in love with this skirt. It's perfect for Spring and so easy to dress up or down for Summer.

#8 - Is a knock off of this bootie, and it's more than half the price and pretty darn comfortable.

#9 - Well, it might not give your feet any warmth, but it sure is a cute shoe and it comes in 7 colors.

#10 - Who doesn't love a good flamingo? I've been obsessed with them for awhile now and this is the perfect cross body bag for Spring and straight into those fun Summer months.

TBB Asks: May Entertainment

Hi Foxy Friends! How is it May already? I'm sure everyone is wondering the same thing. But it's the first Monday of the month, which means it's TBB Asks Monday where The Blended Blog asks questions and we answer! It's an easy Monday morning post. So let's get started.

1.  Comedy or Drama?
Depends on my mood, but lets say Comedy. Lately Mr. and I have been into action movies, so is that drama? Personally if Mr. isn't with me, I like a good Rom-Com.

2.  Fiction or Non-Fiction?
Fiction.

3.  Movie in Theater or At Home?
Mostly at home, back when we bought our house, the only thing Mr. wanted was a big tv...click here to see how big it is, and now that we've had it for 9 years, he's wanting to go bigger, not sure if my retina's can handle that! All this to say, I like watching movies at home, so I can pause and go get snack/drink/pee whenever I want and not miss anything.

4.  Musical or Play?
Hmmm, this is a tough one, but I'm going to go with musical. Gotta love me a good musical.

5.  Which Meal of the Day is your favorite to eat out?
Dinner for sure!

6.  Favorite Book ever read?
hmmm....I don't read nearly enough or have a passion for reading to say I have a favorite, but one book I have read over and over, which is a total Rom-Com type of book...

7.  Game Night: Yes or No?
Yes! So much fun, although I am terrible at them, but it's fun to laugh with friends.

8.  Favorite Outside Game to play?
Does red rover count and being clothes-lined when they were too strong for you to break through? Else, freeze tag when I was kid. Or handball, and jump rope...but if I had to pick something right now as an adult? Hmmm...what would it be? Hide and Seek.

9.  Favorite TV Series Ever?
Easy, Gilmore Girls, I've probably watch the entire series, 3-4 times over.

10.  Sitcoms growing up or sitcoms of today?
Sitcomes growing up, Full House, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, Alf, and the list continues...we only watch 3, no wait, 4 sitcoms right now. So definitely back in the day.

11.  Minature Golf or Bowling?
Bowling...yep I have my own ball and bowling shoes.

12.  Favorite Movie Theater Candy?
Red Vines, and not Twizzlers, yuck.

13.  How do you like your popcorn?
If I could eat popcorn everyday I would...but I can't. I like white popcorn kernels, cooked on the stove with salt, no butter.

14.  3D movies with glasses? Yes or No?
No? I'm not sure? 3D movies weren't huge until, what? 10ish years ago, when I was with Mr. and he can't see 3D so we've never gone to one. Plus I get motion sickness really easily, so I've sort of avoided them in general. Although when we go to Legoland, they have a 4D short film, and I can handle that, but not sure if I could do a 2 hour movie of it...15 minutes sure, but not 2 hours. So I'm going to go with no. Well that was a bunch of details you didn't want to know.

15.  Favorite Genre of books to read?
Romantic-Comdy...are you getting a theme here? I love all of Emily Giffin books.
