Valentine's Day Heart Wreath

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Valentine's Day! I know I'm late to the game with this, but I figure better than never right? Or something like that. I just couldn't get my butt into gear to get everything edited and finished, so you're getting it now. This is super simple to make and quick!

What You'll Need:

Heart Wreath Frame
Pom Pom Garland
Glue Gun

Directions:

Step 1:

Glue Pom Poms in an alternating pattern around the wreath.

Warning: make sure you glue on a surface that you don't care for, the glue gun will leak on the surface you are using.

Of course I did a quick video for you, in case you like to see how it's done.

Patriotic Wreath

Hello Foxy Friends! I finally found some time to put together this wreath that I have been wanting to do for years! I finally bite the bullet and ordered the stars and strips burlap off of Amazon...I'm so happy I did, since I couldn't find it in store anywhere! Anyway, let's get straight to business.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. By purchasing through Foxy's Domestic Side, you're helping me to continue creating fun things for this space.

Things You'll Need:

1 Wire Wreath
1 Navy Blue Star Burlap
3 Strip Burlap ribbon rolls.
Floral Wire
American Sign (or any sign you want to use) - I find that you have to actually go to a store to find this, I almost always go to Hobby Lobby

Directions:

Step 1:

You need a wire wreath, mine was a 16" wreath, you can use any size wreath that you want. Start with the star burlap and start to weave in and out of the wreath frame. See this tutorial on how to do that.

Fluff the star burlap once your have completed weaving it in the wire wreath.

Blue Star Burlap

Step 2:

Now continue the wreath with your red strip burlap.

Not fluffed red burlap.

Fluffed red burlap, huge difference right?

Memorial Day

Step 3:

Add the sign to the middle of your wreath.

Step 4:

Put on door hanger on your front door.

I put together a video showing you how I did this, cause sometimes watching something makes it so much easier to understand the process.

St. Patrick's Day Wreath

Thought since I have some new followers that I would do a little TBT on how I made my very first burlap wreath. I've come a long way since then...okay not really, I made one more burlap wreath and then used that same base for all of my other wreaths.  This one is my very first burlap wreath.

What You'll Need:

10 Yard Burlap Ribbon (I would buy this at Hobby Lobby on sale)
St. Patrick's Day Sign (similar here and here)
Shamrock Burlap Ribbon - Or some ribbon that you like
Floral Wire

Directions:

As usual I headed to Hobby Lobby with the kids for some help. While trying to find some ribbon, I found a burlap ribbon and a white ribbon with some glittery Shamrocks on it. I asked the kids and they liked the burlap one, so that's what we got. Then when I was trying to find something in the middle I found a sign that said "Lucky" on it. I did find a big shamrock but it was going to require me to paint it and the kids liked the "Lucky" sign better, phew, dodged that painting bullet.  First you need to make the Burlap Wreath, here's a video on how to do that:

This first wreath I made I used a different burlap, it had no wire in it, since then I realize that I really like using burlap with the wire in it to give it structure. But we'll continue on, because I like this too.

I decided that since my "Lucky" sign was smaller than the wreath that it need something a little more, so I laced some of the burlap ribbon through the wreath. Here's a quick video how I did that.

Then I made the bow, I thought a video is much easier than pictures, plus it's hard to take pictures of doing something when there isn't anyone to help out with hitting the shutter, a remote can only do so much if both hands are occupied, hehe.

Then I attached the sign and I had my St. Patrick's Day wreath. I love it, and the best part of it is? I made it so I can take it all apart, save the parts for next year and add something different for the next holiday. Win in my book.

And the moment you've all been waiting for!

I think it turned out pretty great! Next time I might put some sort of ribbon behind it or something to make it stand out a little more.

Valentine's Day Burlap Wreath Tutorial

Hello Foxy Friends! Today I'm back with another wreath tutorial. This actually takes us full circle. This is the last wreath I'm making with the same exact wreath. That's right, I've made 7 Wreaths using the same exact base and I just changed out the decorations. Click here to see all of them.

Here's what I started with:

Some of the links are affiliate links and I will either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. By purchasing through Foxy's Domestic Side, you're helping me to continue creating fun things for this space.

What You'll Need:

Burlap Wreath (I've been using the same wreath over and over again, but click here for my full tutorial, click here for the video)
Sign to put in the Middle (I found mine at Hobby Lobby for $6.99 on sale for $4, this, this or this would work too)
Twigs of Hearts (Hobby Lobby for $3.99 each on sale for $2.79 each, I bought 3)
Small Valentine's Sign (Hobby Lobby for $3.99 on sale for $2.79, I bought 3)
Small Happy Valentine's Sign (Hobby Lobby for $2.99 on sale for $2.09)
Red Deco Mesh (I didn't have to buy because it was in my previous wreath, that I reused)

Let's assume we've taken off all of the previous decorations, except for the red Deco Mesh.

Directions:

Step 1:

I tried to use the sprigs as they were, but I didn't have enough to cover the whole wreath and there were a lot in each bunch. I realized that they were individual wrapped with some tape, so I tore them apart to make separate strings of hearts, so I could spread them out a bit.

I spread them out to make it more even. I left space for things that I knew I wanted to add.

Step 2:

I then stuck the "Kiss" "Hugs" and "Love" signs into the wreath. I did not glue or tie these down.

Step 3:

I added a piece of floral wire with a glue gun to the back of the Happy Valentine's Day sign so I could secure it to the wreath without having to glue it down.

I then attached it to the wreath

Step 4:

I then cut the LOVE garland in half so I could put them on top of each other like this.

The LOVE signed turned out slightly larger than I wanted, but I still think it's pretty cute. There were so many different choices at Hobby Lobby. And the finished product.

Here is how it looks on my front door. Full confession, I didn't make a January wreath, just went straight to a Valentine's one, so this has been on my door since the first weekend of January.

Christmas Wreath

Hello Foxy friends! It's the start of a new season, which means I have another Christmas wreath for you. I went to Hobby Lobby on Black Friday to check out their deals, and I scored all of this stuff for 50% off. Although when does Hobby Lobby not have everything for half off? Anyway, let's get to it.

What You'll Need:

Burlap Wreath (I've been using the same wreath over and over again, but click here for my full tutorial, click here for the video)
Sign to put in middle (I almost always start here, find the sign, buy the "fluff" to match this and this and this would work)
3 Fun Candy Themed Sprigs
3 Ornament Sprigs
1 Roll of Deco Mesh Ribon

Note: In the end I didn't end up using the Merry Christmas burlap ribbon, perhaps for my next wreath.

Directions:

Start with a plain wreath, I took apart this wreath and this is what I had left:

Step 1:

Add in the deco mesh ribbon, if you don't know how to do it, follow this tutorial here that I made.

Step 2:

Add the sprigs of candy, I didn't divide them equally on purpose so there would be a space for the "bow"

Step 3:

Fill in the spaces between the candy with the ornament sprigs.

Step 4:

I felt that the ribbon I was going to use that said Merry Christmas didn't really fit the theme that I had in mind. I had some left over Deco Mesh, so I tried to make a bow, but it's super hard. I was just playing around with it, and realized that it rolled very nicely, so I made a rolled "bow". I think it's fun and matches the theme of the wreath really nicely.

Step 5:

Add the sign, I found one that said Santa Please Stop Here, but really any sign will do. And here is the finished product.

And on my door it looks like this:

There you have it, our Christmas wreath, last year I got the burlap part done and never finished, so literally on our door was a blank burlap wreath, pathetic right?  I bought enough supplies and have an extra burlap wreath laying around, so hopefully this weekend I can make another one...I'm thinking I might put that one over the fireplace...hmmm....where to put it, where to put it.
