Another Busy Weekend

Another weekend gone too fast, but at least it was a 3 day weekend for me! Third one in row, I could get used to this, but unfortunately this week is a full 5 day week, wahh!!

It started on Thursday. Mr. had a recording session at the house, so after the gym I headed over to my parents. When did she get big enough for riding this?! All by herself...

Sitting in brother's high chair, barely reaches over the table, but it works.

It was my brother's birthday, who lives in Vegas, his wife finished making his cake while we were talking to him, so we all sang him Happy Birthday, and then sent him this photo, in case he forgot what we looked like.

Mini Fox didn't get her evening nap, and fell promptly asleep in the two miles it took to get home. Scratch that, the first 500 feet of being in the car, we didn't even get out of my parents driveway before she was asleep.

Thursday night, this came out! Not too late to join in on the fun!

Friday morning we went to a friends house for a play date. Her daughter loved Mini Fox and was constantly giving her hugs, too precious.

This guy, has eaten 4 pieces of toast with butter this week, this is 4 more pieces of toast than he's ever had, recording this milestone, perhaps next step is an actual sandwich.

Baby Fox and I butted heads, literally, it hurt...a LOT, so we got out the "owie hand and owie foot"

But had to laugh at ourselves cause we were being so dramatic

Saturday I went to the gym before the kids got up for a personal training session (free with my new membership, yes please!). I did the stair climber for the first time, wow that's a workout! I'm still walking funny.

Afterwards I went home and collected Baby Fox for a Costco run.

He's proving to be helpful these days!

He actually got it under the basket by himself, I will have to bring him on more Costco runs.

After naptime we headed to a party in LA, the traffic was CRAZY, it took us 50 minutes to go 20 miles...ugh. But we eventually got there.

Gotta get dressed up for the party. Actually Mr. picked out her outfit, he claims she did...I have my doubts.

It was a kids place that had all sort of stuff to do.

Can you guess the theme? I'll recap the party tomorrow.

Then we headed to my Aunt and Uncles for dinner with some of my cousins. It was so much fun seeing everyone and watching Baby Fox with his little cousin, is just too cute.

Cutie #4 really wanted to feed Mini Fox dinner, did a pretty good job if you ask me.

Good-byes, I love how much they get along and love each other. Reminds me of me and all of my cousins growing up.

We stayed the night there and to our amazement everyone slept till their normal time, miracles do happen!

Back at home and watching How to Train Your Dragon before naptime.

She was giving me the best kisses! I love it, every wet slobbery one of them.

This guy took a 3.5 hour nap, when we actually woke him up...which turns out was a mistake because he was then up till after 11pm last night. Luckily he is REALLY good about just staying in his room on his bed waiting for sleep to happen. Next time, we'll wake him up after 2.5 hours! All that playing last night must have really tuckered him out.

Cause sleeping on the floor is so much better. I checked in on him and he was sleeping like this, I went to the grocery store and came back and he was in the EXACT same spot. Good thing I didn't wait for him to go to the store.

That pretty much sums up our weekend, we had a great weekend and wish that every weekend was a 3 day one!

This Face

I've been debating whether or not to post this, but decided that I wanted to remember this, this face looking up at me when I'm nursing her. Not sure how long this relationship will go, but I will forever cherish the bonding time I had with her, those quite moments at 5am that I still get before I leave for work. I get to snuggle her for those few precious moments before I leave for work. I soak her up, and smell her sleepy head before laying her back down. I love it, more than I can express in words.

And Then Her Food Was Gone

Right before I go to bed I try to think of something to wear, in my head this outfit came out way different. I really wanted to tie the denim shirt in a knot, but my shirt didn't have enough length, so it didn't work out, but at 4:30am I just didn't have time to figure out another outfit. Oh well.

I do love my new white statement necklace, who knew I was missing one so much, this is a great piece that I know I'll be going to time and time again. I got it off of Jane.com and can't remember who the seller was, sorry!

Last night Baby Fox asked to feed Mini Fox...we told him of course...it started off like this:

and that was the first and last bite she got, cause he ate the rest...what are big brother's for if you can't jack your sisters food? She was not happy about the situation, she patiently waited for him to give her a bite and then she realized it was gone...

Better Late Than Never

I did a little photo shoot for Memorial Day with Mini Fox. I usually do a themed photoshoot for the first year of my kids life, okay not really, I did it with Baby Fox becasue I had all the time in the world, and now feel obligated to do it for Mini so she doesn't feel left out. I try to recreate whatever I did for Baby Fox.

This was Baby Fox, 5 months old

A little harder since she's crawling and he wasn't, but I think they turned out pretty good.

I feel like Memorial Day is the start of summer, so I hope you all have great plans for summer!

4 Things I learned about Spin Class + Other Weekend Happenings

I had asked Ashley about how she got her daughters hair in pigtails, and said she got them wet, so I tried that with Mini Fox after her bath, worked like a charm, thanks Ashley!

Friday after work, I got home and this girl was super excited to see me, love her so much!

I am sort of obbessess with these new headbands that I bought for Mini Fox.
 

We met Daddy at dinner out my favorite Mexican place, yum! Especially the left overs.

I thought this girl would sleep, but she wouldn't have anything to do with sleep, especially since there was so much going on around her.

On our way home from dinner, I had to get off a few excite earlier than normal because of traffic and Baby Fox recongnized it and said, let's go to Ampa and Nana's! So we decided to surprise them, he's so excited to surprise them.

Saturday monring I decided to wake up early and go to a spin class (when I say early I mean an 8am spin class). I've never been a spin girl (I used to think you either love spin or hate it there was no in between, lately it's been growing on me, perhaps I never found a good teacher? I hated when they told me we're all climbing a mountain and to envision it, we're in a freaking gym, if I wanted to do that, I would go bike outside, just tell me what to do, I don't need to envision anything) and I while I don't think I could do this for every workout, I do enjoy doing it once or twice a week, it's a really good cardio workout and different than what I normally do.

So here are 4 thoughts on going to spin class on Saturday at 8am:

1) People who take spin at 8am on Saturday morning are hard core cycle people.

2) These hard core cycle people all wear pants/capri pants/long tight bike shorts with those padded butt things. In a class of 30 people I was the ONLY one wearing jogging shorts, no joke.

3) Not only was I the only one wearing shorts, I was also the ONLY one not wearing those fancy clip in shoe things that all cycle people seem to have. Hey the tennis shoes I was wearing were cross trainers, not my running ones, so at least I am headed in the right direction.

4) I was also the only one that didn't have at least 3 towels draped all over the machine, to catch all of my sweat, I'll take one please, and I don't even really need that one, I just use my shirt to wipe my sweat, I'm old school like that, lift shirt, wipe sweat.

Apparently I still can't get my fingers out of my pictures...

 Baby Fox NEVER asks for a specific food, especially anything that has to do with meat, but Saturday he really wanted some Persian food, go figure, my kid who won't eat hamburger or bread will put away half an order of Persian food. He likes Beef Koobideh (aka, seasoned ground meat shaped to fit onto a skewer) and rice. He brought me his shoes cause he needed shoes to go get his food, first time he went and got his shoes without me having to hound him...he must really want his, what he calls, rice and meat.

After nap time Mr. took Baby Fox on a bike ride, speaking of which on the way home they stopped at Starbucks to get some water and a cakepop and a girl comes in that has a bikini top and short shorts on with a belly button ring, Baby Fox immediately sees her and says: Why is that girl naked? What's in her Bebo?" We call belly buttons Bebo because of this book, we love all of her books, you should get some.

Anyway, me and Mini Fox did some shopping.

Funny story: so I take took that picture and I look at it, and think wow she's smiling, but didn't zoom in...but then upon closer inspection:

Yep she's put her whole pacifier in her mouth. Silly kid.

But then that got old...her piggies tasted much better.

Sunday I decided Mini Fox needed a cute dress, even though we didn't have anywhere to go, we would enjoy seeing it.

 I asked Baby Fox if he wanted to go grocery shopping with me, he said yes and then said he had to get ready, this is what he put on. Cause everyone needs star sunglasses to go shopping.

After naps we went swimming...new alert, better write this down, I actually went IN the pool. I never go swimming, but decided, the laundry/cleaning up can wait and I went swimming too. Baby Fox thought it was too cool. Mini Fox LOVES swimming, plus she has SO many cute swim suits, she will be wearing all of them.

I think we're going to be doing this a lot after naptime. It's great, we swam for an hour, everyone go a bath or shower and dinner was left overs, great night with the family.

Need to use our waterproof camera so I can take pictures of me too, wonder if our camera is actually waterpoof...it says it is.
