Friday Favorites #60

Wow, I've done a Friday favorites for 60 weeks, crazy! Well happy Friday Foxy People. I have today off, and am going for my year physical...wish me luck.

While cruising around Facebook land, I watched this video and while it's an ad for Under Armour, I think it's a really good commercial showing us just how hard those athletes work, tirelessly, day after day. I for one CANNOT WAIT for the summer Olympics. How about you?

I continue on my pursuit to wear my closet, like I said here. 10 days in and feeling good! So far I feel like this is really making me be intentionally with my outfits, thinking, I might want to wear that shirt next week to..(fill in the blank) so I wear something else. My first few days of outfits can be found here. Here are days 4-10:

 

Because what would a favorites post be without my favorite kids? Some pictures from the week:

Sunday we went to visit my cousin and her new baby, she is the sweetest little thing ever!

When the kids woke up Baby Fox sung Hush Little Baby to his sister. It was the cutest, Mr. got a video, but haven't gotten a chance to get it off his phone yet.

Park time!

We had some left over Heavy Cream from some cookies I made, so Mr. made some whipped cream, cause why not. The kids loved it!

oh and some pictures of me being silly taking my photos for Wednesdays post. I keep meaning to put them at the bottom of the post, but then forget...so you get them now. I'm such a dork. I know.

 

I have today off, so it's my weekend, woo hoo! Hope everyone has a great day/weekend! See you on Monday!

Picture Perfect: March

Back linking up with Whitney, Courtney, Beth and Elizabeth, Stephanie and Desiree for another month of The Picture Perfect Project.

As you know I am trying to take intentional pictures for the yearly calendar I make for the grandparents. Click here for the previous two months. This month it's hard since St. Patrick's Day and Easter fall in the same month, so I might use the Easter picture for the April, because Easter is April 16th (my Dad's birthday), so that seems appropriate. We'll see. But for now, here's the picture I got for March. In full disclosure, Mr. took the pictures while I jumped around in the background like an idiot trying to get them to smile or do something/anything to smile. Team work right there.

 

 

And as soon as the pictures were done...they both asked to take a jump shot picture. It's blurry, but it's the cutest thing ever. Their smiles are just so big, they were having a blast jumping for me.

Style Perspectives Week 2 and a Giveaway!

Hi Foxy Fashion People! Week two of our Style Perspectives link-up! Last week we styled outer layers or wraps, here's what everyone wore:

Didn't everyone do such a great job? Keep reading all the way to the end, there might be a giveaway waiting for you....So this week we are all styling shades of pink.

I decided to style it two ways. Actually I put this outfit on, My brightest most pink shirt I own - I got it on Jane.com. It's from the movie Cinderella (the new one) and it says Have Courage and Be Kind. Don't you just love that? Of course my mom has one too, so we might end up wearing this together too.

And then while I was taking these pictures, I really wanted to put on that cute pink skirt I wore for Valentine's Day...because why not. And I finally got to wear my new leopard heels I got! Which by the way are SUPER comfy! I couldn't find the exact ones, but here* is something very similar.

And why wear a fun skirt (Similar* and similar*), if you're not going to take fun pictures?

For my hair I did that blow out method the night before...this is what it looked like the next day.

Now onto all of the hair style I've been doing lately:

Last Wednesday was clean hair day, so I just threw it up into a side braid. I'm trying not to curl it every time it's clean, so I'm trying to find straight hairstyles as well. I tried some of those sponge curlers (remember the ones you wore as a kid?) and it didn't hold...at all.

Thursday I knew I was going to drive to work, so I didn't have to do a style that was car nap-able...this style was inspired from Missy Sue,  I added the pony tail and the next little bubble part because there wasn't much hair at the end.

Here it is from the front as I'm on my way to meet up with my friend at Disneyland, yep I changed.

Friday was that day when I should have washed it but knew I was going to Disneyland and would want to wash it when I got home, so I put it all up. Instead of doing my braided crown I tried something slightly different and did a fishtail crown....totally different right? Haha.

Before hitting up Disneyland, I got my nails done with my mom, and guess what? We wore the same outfit...again...totally unplanned.

Saturday, clean hair again, so I did a twisted braid. Forgot to take a picture all day, so this was at the end of the day, just before going to bed.

Sunday we had a full day, going to my cousins to visit her new baby and our Christmas make up with some family members. So I did a half braid crown. Again the end of the night, 16 hours after I initially did the hair style. Better late than never?

 

Monday was my last day before washing my hair, so I tried the waterfall braided messy bun. I think I might have finally conquered the messy bun, okay let's not get ahead of ourselves, really it was one time...but it was stable enough that I worked out with it later on Monday and it stayed!

So those are my hair styles this week! Anyone have anything they want me to try? I know a friend of my mom's send me a video on FB asking me to do one, so I'm going to do it sometime this week. Maybe Friday.

I got to the gym three times, and by the time you read this, I should be at the gym...okay if you're reading this anywhere between 10am-11pm PST, I should be at the gym, yay! Getting back in shape is hard work!

I  told you that I was going to try to wear everything in my closet...okay maybe not everything since I was just going to do it for the month of March and then go from there, see how I feel. But so far so good, three outfits in, feeling GOOD! I figured I would recap them here, cause why not.

This is what I wore on March 1-3...those last two, the grey sweater I wore to work, and the plaid outfit with the jacket tied around my waist was to Disneyland.

Speaking of which, had a blast with my bestie and her family. We saw Paint the Night and the Fireworks Show, neither one I had seen before. It was fantastic! The start of the show.

Fire works show, amazing! Totally worth seeing...

Then the bestie and I walked her family back to the hotel and we headed to Downtown Disney to eat a late dinner and catch up. It's not often we get time with no little humans hanging onto us. Again too much fun and chatting for a picture. We're seeing them tomorrow, so I'll make sure to get a picture.

Have you see this? Astronaut Scott Kelly spent the last 365 days on the International Space Station, taking pictures from space, this was his last one, he returned home on Tuesday! Some of the pictures were unreal! This was the last one he took before heading home.

And what would a Friday Favorites be without my two favorite kids? Things happening this week around our house.

This girl earned everyone ice cream going pee in the potty with no accidents, woo hoo!

Baby Fox was begging me to go back to the rock wall, so we dropped Mini Fox at the daycare and we went climbing for a bit. He really wanted to get to the top, they put a "that was easy" button up there, he really wanted to hit it, he thought it was so cool.

And this girl, cause she has cats and a smile on her face. Need to remember that when she's throwing her 2 year old tantrums...good thing she's cute :)

Legoland Review: 5 Things to Skip

Happy Thursday Foxy People! Last week I gave you a list of 5 things that you needed to do at Legoland! This week, it's all about what can be skipped. Cause I figure, if I only knew...

So here the list goes:

ONE

My kids LOVE the aquarium, but if you don't get some sort of deal on it, don't bother. It is really small, and not really worth it. Currently as I write this (March 2, 2016) they are having a deal on going to multiple attractions, but if they don't have a deal I wouldn't bother. Or wait till they do have a deal. We got our deal through Costco (back in December 2015) and it was buy one day and get a 3 month pass. Good deal. Else I don't think we would have bought the multi attraction pass.

TWO

If you can skip the Helicopter ride. For whatever odd reason it's one of my kids favorite rides but it is the MOST BORING RIDE EVER! Seriously, as a parent, the kids get to control going up and down and going around in 180°, and that's it. It says in one place. The line is long and ride turn over is SLOW! Painfully slow. So if you do want to get on this ride, when you get into the park go there first.

THREE

This is a big one...are you listening? Wait Reading? If you have two kids and you are going by yourself, don't. haha...just kidding, sort of. If you have two kids make sure that one of them is at least 48 inches tall. That is their minimum requirement for kids to ride alone. I have a 5 year old that is about 42 inches and a 3 year old that is about 38 inches...there is no way for me to be able to go on any rides with both them. Or I would have to have Mini Fox stand by herself while I take Baby Fox on the ride and then vice versa. There are exceptions to the rule, like the horses, or race carts, but those rides my 2 year old can't go on, so she's just watching big brother go on all the rides without her.

Bottom line, if you are by yourself with two kids under 48" make sure they want to do a lot of show watching and lego building. There is probably one ride you can get on and that's the Lost Kingdom Adventure, you have to be 42" to ride alone. Here are the height requirements, I see that there are some rides that you might be able to do if your youngest is taller than 34", so just have a well planned out day, so you know what they can and can't do, so there isn't any disappointment.

FOUR

This is just my personal preference, so take it with a grain of salt. If you do happen to get the pass that has the Aquarium attached, eat there! Skip all of the other main food places in Legoland. We've been to the BBQ place, and while the food was pretty good, it was crowded, a little expensive and chaotic inside.  The one in the Aquarium, had really good food, is pretty reasonably priced and wasn't crowded at all. I think the kids meal, was $7 and it came with a healthy amount of food, enough that I should have just let me kids share. But Mini Fox wanted mac and cheese and it was huge and was legit mac and cheese they made in front of you.

FIVE

Again this is just my opinion, and my daughter LOVES the carasoul, but really, it makes me a little sick. It goes so fast that it just makes you dizzy. But we continue to go on it, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME because Mini Fox loves it that much. Baby Fox, really dislikes it and will d o anything not to go on it. So if you get dizzy or motion sick easy, skip this ride.

So there you go, I could hardly come up with 5 things, that last one was a stretch I know, but 5 things sounds so much better than 4 things right? So really pay attention to the first 4.
