Friday Favorites #181

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! It's my off Friday and I have no plans other than going to the gym...and maybe filming a few videos, we'll see how lazy I get. I do need to do some laundry and clean the house a bit...so that will probably happen at some point this weekend, haha! . Okay let's get onto my weekly favorites.

Mini Fox started her first gymnastics class last week. Prior she was just doing a preschool class, so there was no real structure, really just playing on the equipment. Now she's in a class and learning stuff. In the two weeks she's gone, she's learned how to do a cartwheel. She sort of knew how to do it before, but now it actually looks like one.

We've had a change in who watches the kids this year, so Mr. has been taking the kids to school. I love getting all of the pictures before school. Quick game of Left Right Center before school.

Mr. is now in charge of doing her hair every morning. It's a learning curve, but he's doing pretty good at it.

She wanted chips and quac for dinner the privous night, but she had already brushed her teeth, so Mr. said should could have it for breakfast...she didn't forget.

Saturday was pretty much a mommy and Mini Fox day. We hit up Target, where of course we had to try on all of the costumes. She puts it on and says, take my picture.

This one cracks me up.

Then I asked if she wanted to go to the grocery store or Costco, because I could get what we needed at either place..she picked Costco, because samples...duh. She takes her samples seriously.

Then we headed out to a birthday party.

Then the mall...where ever we go she always seems to find dogs and they all LOVE her.

Then we hit up Sephora...on my IG stories, I showed you how Sephora had this app that you could try on make up with, it was super accurate and awesome...in case you missed it...

Then Mini Fox had to try it out...hilarious...but I had trouble getting her away from it...I'm going to be in some seriously trouble! Yep it even puts winged liner and lashes on you, it's crazy cool! You have to go check it out. I didn't try or see that there were other options to choose from, hard to do anyting with a 5 year old wanting to try it too.

Then some totally random things from the week...I decided I was going to be on a hard boiled egg breakfast kick...this one I got two yolks..crazy and delicious.

Wednesday was unoffically Nation Mean Girls Day...so I whipped up this shirt to wear to the gym on Tuesday for Wednesday.

Last night I had to line the fields for Mini Fox's soccer game on Saturday...not sure why they want it done on a Thursday, but I rolled with it. Super easy, I thought it was going to be all hard and complicated so I made my Dad go with me...he was late and I figured it out...then we just chatted while me and the kids lined the fields.

Mini Fox had her last swim lesson and this was Baby Fox's bored face. In case you are wondering, my shirt says "Everything Hurts and I'm Dying"

Sentence A Day: September Edition

Hi Foxy Friends! Today is the first Thursday of the month, which means we're all sharing our sentence a day. It's only October 4th, so join us next month with your sentence a day! Come on you know you want to, it's fun to look back at what you were feeling and thinking, oh yea! That was a cool day. Anyway, let's get started: 

1 -Baby Fox took his karate test for purple belt, so proud of him, then Mr. and I went out on a birthday date and instead of going out to the movies, we decided to watch one at home.

2 - Kids friends spending the night as their parents are off gallivanting in Paris, they had a blast together.

3 -Happy Labor day...which means I'm not prepping for party week like I should...but I did finish the photo book for the kids care taker, who's last day is tomorrow....waaaahhhh!!!!

4 -It's party week, and I have yet to start any crafting for the party...oops!

5 - Mini Fox's first day of school, and then more crafting.

6 - Finally a soccer schedule for Baby Fox, soccer practice tonight!

7 - Crafting, crafting, crafting, so many flowers to make...skipping dinner with friends.

8 - First soccer game, karate tournament where Baby Fox won 2nd and then more crafting and getting ready for the party tomorrow, aaaaahhhhh!!!!

9 -Happy birthday Mini Fox, I can't even believe you are 5, when did that happen?!?

10 -Nice day off/working from home after the party, I almost always take the day after a party off.

11 - Busy day, Baby Fox to soccer, Mini Fox to Soccer, back to pick up Baby Fox from soccer, and then luckily Mr. got to Mini Fox soccer practice, all in an 1.5 hours.

12 - Back to school night followed by dinner with other parents, because we all had sitters, might as well, right?

13 - Soccer practice for Baby Fox.

14 - Baby Fox won Scholar of the month for his class, 3 weeks into school and already winning awards, so proud of him.

15 - 2 soccer games spread out over 5 hours, ugh, there goes our Saturdays this Fall.

16 - 5K run, Mini Fox is such a trooper, did the whole run with us (walking) and turns out she had a 101.6° fever and then threw up all over my aunts kitchen floor...that was messy.

17 - Mini Fox got a rest day with Nana, no fevers thankfully!

18 - Mini Fox back at school...hopefully she is on the mend, no soccer, just in case.

19 - Dang it, Mini Fox had a rough night and the fever is back and Baby Fox took 2 naps yesterday...he has what Mini Fox has...dang it!

20 - Both kids are taking a day off of school...I'm working from home, Grandpa is here keeping the kids occupied, thank goodness for Grandparents that live close!

21 -Watching our friends kids, they are so cute, love when they come over, plus we got ice cream afterwards.

22 -Day full of soccer, and the family pictures, I cant' wait to get them back!

23 -Apple picking with friends, such a good time, sad I forgot my big camera...waahhhh!!!

24 -Karate, gym and dinner, nice day.

25 - First day of 3 day cleanse, I might die, why do I do this to myself?

26 - No working out today, 3 day cleanse is better today.

27 - Bunko night, I love these nights...end of 3 day cleanse, and I was pretty good at the party.

28 - Watching some friends kids while they get some much needed adult time in, glad we can help a friend out.

29 - Soccer day, birthday parties, errands oh my!

30 - Day 2 of our family photo session, followed by home time watching a ton of movies.

Fall Booties

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with The Blended Blog for our prompt "Fall booties" As I was going through my closet, trying to find an outfit, I realized, I haven't bought any true booties in a really long time! I think I've been mostly buying shoes that are peep toe, so not true booties. Which makes me think...I need to go shopping!

I thought I would share a new dress I got, and how I style it for California Fall. The temps are still pretty high, so we don't really need all the warm things yet. Monday was 90°, enough said.

I love this dress, it's super comfy and perfect for Fall. I can see myself wearing this with tights or leggings to even bring it into Winter.

This dress is really flattering on the figure too. Cinches in at the waist in just the right spots.

Make Up: Foundation / Eye Shadow/ EyeLashes / Blush / Eyeliner / Eyeliner for cat eye  / translucent powder/ Lipstick is Lipsense (Nude Pink, Bella, Nude Pink)

Then for those warmer evenings in the fall, I like to pair it with a short bootie.

Amazon Prime Purchases: October

I saw Andrea post her favorite Prime Purchases, and she was linking up to Tayna who hosts the link up. I mean how fun is that? We all purchases stuff from Amazon, might as well share the wealth of knowledge of the goodies! Click here to see my past purchases. Okay let's get started!

Mini Fox had a Minnie Ballerina Music Box, and it broke...which apparently if we hadn't broken it, it's now worth $150, whoops! But she was a good sport about it breaking, and after 5 months, we decided to replace it, with a cheaper option than her original one is going for.

My flip flop broke the other day...luckily we were on our way home...so I had to order another pair. This is my third pair. No that doesn't mean the quality is bad, it means I wear my flip flops hard...I mean it's flip flop weather here 9 months out of the year, and I wear the same ones over and over, so this is my 3rd pair in 6 or so years...I think that's pretty good. And they are so dang comfortable!

Last year I made bats with my Circut, but at $7.99 these were a must buy. Plus you can make them 3D. Heck ya!

Last thing I want to share is this skirt. I have always wanted a floor length tulle skirt. Now I need to figure out what top to wear, and if I think it makes me look like an oompa loompa. I got it in black and am thinking it's going to be my Christmas skirt, cause how fun is that?

I do need to either grow 4 inches or get it hemmed. I'm thinking I'll just do it myself...tulle doesn't fray, so if I just cut it straight...I should be good to go right?

I also bought some hoodies for our Halloween Costumes...if you need cheap black or any color hoodies, this little girls hoodie was only $8.20 and it is so, so soft, this boys hoodie was only $6.97. These sweatpants are only $5.50, what a deal right? I can't even get them whole sale for cheaper than that! No where close!

TBB Asks: October Edition

Happy Monday Foxy Friends! I can't believe that it's October already, like what?!

1. Favorite Fall Color?

I love dark reds and blacks...My favorite is a dark lipstick and dark nail polish. I always feel sad in Spring when I have to switch to lighter colors. I know I could still wear them, but don't really want people to think I'm all Emo...and stuff.

2. Apple Cider hot or cold?

Hot, I think? I actually don't really know? Have I had cold cider? I'm not sure...I'll get right on that.

3. Caramel Apple? 

I like them if they cut them up for you, else too messy to eat them off of a stick.

4. Pumpkin doughnut or Apple Cider Doughnut?

Apple doughnut for sure.

5.  Long or short cardigan?

Long cardigan for sure, even though not all of them look good on my short frame, they are just so cozy.

6. Favorite football or Fall party food?

Hmm...I don't go to many football parties or fall parties, so I'm not sure, so I'll go with what I've had a Super Bowl parties, and I really like any sort of dip that goes with chips.

7.  Orange or white pumpkins?

Orange pumpkins. White ones don't really match my house. But I do really like them.

8. Hayride or bonfire?

I'm going with bonfire with this one, only because i've never been on a hay ride and I'm really allergic to hay.

9. Favorite Fall baked good?

Apple pie! Although any time of the year is apple pie time in my book. This past weekend, Mr. made a crock pot apple pie filling, it was delicious! Recipe to come!

10. Most anticipated Fall activity?

Apple picking (which we did before the start of Fall), and Halloween! So much fun, can't wait to make our costumes! Was hoping to get them done this weekend, but life got in the way, this week, I'm going to try and get it done!
