Let's Looks At: What's In Your Suitecase

Linking up with Shay and Erica for their Let's Look At series, see all previous posts here.

I'm so excited, we're going on vacation in less than a month! Here is what we're planning on bringing with us to HAWAII!!!

| ONE |  Snorkel Set

Yes it takes up space in the suitcase, but we would much rather have our own than borrow one, the thought of putting my mouth on something someone else has...shivers.

| TWO | Swim Suits

I've showed you in this post which swim suits I bought for the season. I'm loving all of them!

1- Top/Bottom / 2 /3 / 4 - Top/Bottom

| THREE | Swim Suit Cover Ups

I am wearing swim suit #1 from above in these pictures.

One / Two / Three

| FOUR |  Floppy Hat

I personally have this hat, but it's no longer available, so this one is a close second. I also like a good baseball cap that looks like its been through it all, but hasn't...this brand has a lot of good ones.

| FIVE | Sun Screen

Of course what's going into the sun without some sunscreen. This is my favorite for the face.

And I like this for the whole body.

| SIX | The kids need some new suits, so I got them these:

I like to try and get the kids bright colored things so I can see them easier when we are in a public pool.

Boy: Trunks

I also bought these flip flops and this rash guard

Girl: Suit / Rash Guard

I might have also gotten girl this bathing suit and these flip flops.

| SEVEN | Packing Cubes

I'm not sure about these, but they have been in my later cart for a few months, not sure if I should do it or not. When we pack our bags...okay when I pack our bags, I always distribute everyones clothes into both suitcases, especially if we are checking our luggage...perhaps I will divide up the clothes into days instead of one persons belongings together...hmmm...that's a thought...so how do you use your packing cubes?

These have patterns which I like, what's not to like about foxes? hehe.

These have over 1000 4.5 star reviews and comes with three laundry bags, which I really like...

These come with more packing bags and also have really good reviews.

What to do what to do...HELP! I have a few more weeks to decide! But wait...this one has almost 3000 5 star reviews, now that is saying something...and now you can see why I haven't actually bought any yet.

| EIGHT | Kindle

Gone are the days when you bring 5 books with you, now I have the Kindle. As much as I miss having a real book, I do like the ease of having a Kindle.

| NINE |  iPad with Case

Of course for the long flights we have the iPad and a kid friendly case.

| TEN |  Flowy Dress

I bought this dress on Amazon, and it was such a great price and it's perfect for those warm Hawaiian nights. When I showed my friends this dress, two of them bought it within the week and both love it.

They Are Listening and It's Okay To Be Human

So this blog title has nothing to do with each other, but I'm in a rambling mood, so just go with it =) The other day, I had to go the chiropractor and Baby Fox was complaining that he didn't want to go. Mini Fox piped up and said, Coco (what she calls him), Mama does everything for us, and takes us everywhere, the least we can do is go with her. This Mama heart almost exploded, they do listen (at least girl does).

As a mom sometimes we forget that we do have to take care of ourselves too. We do everything for everyone else, play chauffeur, driving the kids to karate, piano, gymnastics, soccer/baseball, you know the list goes on.

I remember last year when Mr. had to travel for work, I was in the car on the way to my favorite gym class. The kids were complaining that they didn't want to go to the gym, I mean complaining...I got frustrated and started yelling/crying hysterically. All this happened 2 minutes into our drive. They were stunned, speechless, not sure what was happening, they both started crying hysterically. I can only imagine what we looked like as we stopped at the light. I took a deep breath, calmed down enough to explain to them that I do everything for them, forgoing the gym multiple times a week so I can get them to where the need to go and all I ask of them is to go to the gym with me one day a week so I can go to my favorite gym class. All was good by the time we reached the gym 8 minutes later, hugs were had and all forgiven. (this all happened day 1 of 6 days Mr. was gone...not a good start to the week, but we recovered and had a good rest of the week).

I say this because we try to be so perfect to everyone around us. Sometimes we forget we are not robots and we have feelings that get hurt. It's okay to show our kids that we are human. That we cry when our feelings get hurt. We make mistakes and it's okay to ask for forgiveness. We all want our kids to have a perfect childhood, but remember you're human too. It's okay to have bad days, when our emotions are all over the place. Your kids will still love you and they won't remember that one day you go upset and started yelling, even when in your head you're thinking...stop yelling, you're being ridiculous, but can't stop...we're human. It's okay. You're kids know you love them and want the best for them. They'll only remember the good times.

So go out and be less than perfect.

Weekly Favorites #17

Hi Foxy Friends! It's another Friday, woo hoo! Did anyone else think it was the longest week ever after our short week last week? I had both Monday and Friday off last week, so it was a REALLY short week, thus making this the longest week EVER! Anyway, onto my weekly favorites.

Tuesday the kids started piano lessons. They are so excited and have eagerly practiced everyday. We'll see how long that lasts, but so far they are super excited.

Thursday took Baby Fox to Karate and he is usually the only kid at the 6pm class, which is good for him because private lesson for free? Heck ya. He's learning nunchucks for the first time.

Friday was a busy but productive day. Went and got my hair done.

I had some down time before having to go out on Friday so I sewed up all of the stuffed animals that had holes...there was a line up. I had to laugh, #momlife.

Friday night I went to a fundraiser for our school, it's called MNO and we pay a donation fee, and we get dinner drinks and fun with new friends. They have someone sponsor the food, so it was mostly profit for the kids, which is great. Got to meet a lot of new to the school Moms, meet some kinder Mom's for Mini Fox. I took exactly 1 picture, oops.

Saturday was a pretty low key day. Got to sleep in and have a lazy Saturday morning, no sports to get to, which was super nice. I had a Chiropractor appointment in the morning, then when I got home I took the kids over to baseball closing ceremonies. Let the kids bounce around in the bounce house.

They had chick-fil-a at the snack shack, but by the time we got there they were all out, so I took the kids to get some...(big sucker). We were headed to the movies, so we ate in the car at the theater since we were early. Can I tell you how thankful I am to be able to buy tickets at home, yes there is an extra fee, but worth it to not have to stress about getting seats, all of our theaters by our house have gone to assigned seating, I love it. We walked in a few minutes late (because popcorn) and our seats were waiting for us. When I bought the tickets just a few hours prior, most of the seats were available...

Did get a picture of us in the theater as the previews were already going...oh and we saw Aladdin, my most favorite Disney movie and it did not disappoint. I was worried about Will Smith as the Genie, but he did his own spin on it, and he did a fabulous job. Kudos Mr. Smith for not letting me down!

Saturday night our former nanny came over to watch the kids and we headed to LA to my Aunt and Uncle's. My Aunt won a full Prime Rib at a local grocery store,

We decided to do Prime Rib and blind wine tasting test. It was so fun, each couple brought a bottle of wine covered and then during dinner we tasted it and gave our thoughts and rated it. It was so fun.

We don't often to get to hang out with them without the kids, it was nice.

Sunday was the laziest day EVER! We layed around and watched most of the Lord of the Rings movies while I got some crafting done. Perfect lazy Sunday.

What do you have planned for the weekend? Another busy weekend for us, Angels game, friends and Musical Theater. Happy Weekend!

Striped Summer Dress

Hi Foxy Friends! I know it's been a hot second since I've done an outfit post. But I got motivated on Sunday and took some pictures. I went on a hunt to find some new summer clothes. I really like wearing dresses in the summer, so I bought a ton and this one fit the bill perfectly.

Man I am out of practice on taking pictures, must up my game.

 Dress(on sale!) / Heels / Earrings / Bracelet (similar)

I must really be into ruffles right now as half of the stuff I've ordered lately has ruffles. These earrings are so dang cute and adds a great statement to any outfit.

Alright, that's all for now, this dress is definitely coming on vacation with me when we got to Hawaii next month, I am counting down the days!

What is your favorite go to summer outfit?
