Weekly Favorites #17

Hi Foxy Friends! It's another Friday, woo hoo! Did anyone else think it was the longest week ever after our short week last week? I had both Monday and Friday off last week, so it was a REALLY short week, thus making this the longest week EVER! Anyway, onto my weekly favorites.

Tuesday the kids started piano lessons. They are so excited and have eagerly practiced everyday. We'll see how long that lasts, but so far they are super excited.

Thursday took Baby Fox to Karate and he is usually the only kid at the 6pm class, which is good for him because private lesson for free? Heck ya. He's learning nunchucks for the first time.

Friday was a busy but productive day. Went and got my hair done.

I had some down time before having to go out on Friday so I sewed up all of the stuffed animals that had holes...there was a line up. I had to laugh, #momlife.

Friday night I went to a fundraiser for our school, it's called MNO and we pay a donation fee, and we get dinner drinks and fun with new friends. They have someone sponsor the food, so it was mostly profit for the kids, which is great. Got to meet a lot of new to the school Moms, meet some kinder Mom's for Mini Fox. I took exactly 1 picture, oops.

Saturday was a pretty low key day. Got to sleep in and have a lazy Saturday morning, no sports to get to, which was super nice. I had a Chiropractor appointment in the morning, then when I got home I took the kids over to baseball closing ceremonies. Let the kids bounce around in the bounce house.

They had chick-fil-a at the snack shack, but by the time we got there they were all out, so I took the kids to get some...(big sucker). We were headed to the movies, so we ate in the car at the theater since we were early. Can I tell you how thankful I am to be able to buy tickets at home, yes there is an extra fee, but worth it to not have to stress about getting seats, all of our theaters by our house have gone to assigned seating, I love it. We walked in a few minutes late (because popcorn) and our seats were waiting for us. When I bought the tickets just a few hours prior, most of the seats were available...

Did get a picture of us in the theater as the previews were already going...oh and we saw Aladdin, my most favorite Disney movie and it did not disappoint. I was worried about Will Smith as the Genie, but he did his own spin on it, and he did a fabulous job. Kudos Mr. Smith for not letting me down!

Saturday night our former nanny came over to watch the kids and we headed to LA to my Aunt and Uncle's. My Aunt won a full Prime Rib at a local grocery store,

We decided to do Prime Rib and blind wine tasting test. It was so fun, each couple brought a bottle of wine covered and then during dinner we tasted it and gave our thoughts and rated it. It was so fun.

We don't often to get to hang out with them without the kids, it was nice.

Sunday was the laziest day EVER! We layed around and watched most of the Lord of the Rings movies while I got some crafting done. Perfect lazy Sunday.

What do you have planned for the weekend? Another busy weekend for us, Angels game, friends and Musical Theater. Happy Weekend!

Favorite Fall Things

Hello Foxy Friends! Today I'm linking up with Andrea for a little Fall talk, she wants to know what our favorite Fall things are.

I was at the mall over the weekend and I could not pass up some yummy smelling Fall candles. The kids and I smelled every single one of the candles and these were our favorites.

Favorite Fall Candles

School supply shopping. I loved when school would start up and you got to go school supply shopping, starting fresh with new school supplies.

Candy Corn! For some reason even though I can get candy corn whenever I want...it only really tastes good in the Fall. My mom used to keep it out all the time during the Fall. Give me all the Candy Corn!

I'm so excited to start wearing some of the clothes that I bought at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Come on cold weather!

I bought the grey jeans in black too, they are the most comfortable things you will wear.

Favorite Fall Clothes From the Nsale

I did buy these with my own money, but linked products are affiliates and I will receive a small commission if you click on it. Thank you for your support!

Family photos. It's one of my favorite things every year. Picking out the outfits, picking the location, everything about them, and figuring out which picture to pick for our Christmas card. It really is part of my favorite things in Fall. As a matter of fact, we're getting our pictures taken on Saturday! The location we want to take them at, you need to start early so that there aren't many people in the background. Hey one thing to check off the list.

This is our picture from last year.

I put together a list of tips to help plan your next family photo outfits! My favorite thing EVER to do!

What are some of your fall favorite things?

Momfessonal Favorite - Favorite Hair Products

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of those in the service who gave their lives fighting for our freedom, to do things like blog whenever we want to about whatever we want to.

Today I'm linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals for a little Favorite Hair Products. First I have to say I have the straightest hair you'll ever find. So I don't need all those fancy anti-frizzy hair products. And I don't color it...yet, those gray hairs, man, they are coming in fast! Here are my top favorites...of the moment, cause you know I'm a girl and it changes on the monthly.

My all time favorite shampoo and conditioner is Philosophy.

Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner

But I don't use this on the daily because of how expensive it is...it smells divine, and the bonus? The Amazing Grace shampoo is a shampoo/body wash. Double duty and it smells amazing. My hair is always so silky smooth after using these.

What I always use is TRESsemme Shampoo and Conditioner, and I also really like their heat protectant spray (far left bottle)

I also work in my favorite deep conditioner. Every 10 days or so.

When I'm washing my hair, I just recently started doing this:

I also, I can't find/remember the video that said this, but I stopped piling my hair on top of my head when I was washing it. I just leave my hair down, and rub the shampoo into my roots on top of my head and then lather it up and once it's really lathered I work it down into my hair ends. Then I do Dani's tip for conditioner, I feel like I lose way less hair doing these two tips in the shower. (go to 2:11)

I also, stopped brushing my hair when it was wet, I felt like after the shower and my hair is wet, I would brush it and I would lose so much hair! I feel like I don't lose as much when I wait till it's complete dry. I also bought a bamboo brush based off of this gals recommendation and I love it! I bought  cheap one, and it seems to work really well, and I feel like it's making my hair a little more healthy and shiny. Go to (2 minutes), and doesn't she have gorgeous hair? Who wouldn't want to follow her hair care tips?

I think that's all I have for now. I don't have a favorite hair spray or moose since I rarely use those things. Currently I use Sexy Hair Spray and it seems to do the trick, but I use it, maybe 3 times a year? Should I be using it more? What are your hair care tips and secrets?

Also, at what point did you start dying your hair because of the grays? I want to try and avoid it for as long as possible, because well the up keep is just daunting. Thoughts?

My Favorite Things: Target Edition

We had a super busy weekend, recap coming up sometime this week, I promise. Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for their Favorite Things: Target Edition. I love Target...like love, love, love. Mr. has NO idea why I like it so much. I like going there and just wandering around the isles. Looking at the make-up, the clothes, jewelry, movies, books, you name it, I look at it.

T-shirts

Love the kids clothes. You can find some great deals in the clearance section, and I sort of love the Circo rack that has all the t-shirts for the kids.

Boys T-Shirts

Girl T-Shirts

My absolutely favorite t-shirt for myself is the Ultimate style at Target. If you ever see a t-shirt on my chances are they are the Ultimate Tee from Target. Super comfy and soft and the best part is the white isn't see through, score!  Short sleeve and long sleeve version, go try them, you won't be disappointed.

 Make-Up

Okay I know you can get the same stuff cheaper at other places, but I spend so much time here, that it just makes sense to buy my make-up from here too. Here are my favorite "drug store" make-up products.

These have got to be my favorite. Seriously. They are the bomb.com. They are little q-tips, but when you break the tip with the stripe on it, the make up runs down the stick and into the q-tip part and you have a q-tip with some make-up remover. I use these whenever I have a little eyeliner smudge. These are oil free so as soon as it dries you are good to go. They are the best and great for on the go too.

Buy them now!

They have a great selection of nail polish. Love OPI and their hilarious names, this is the Thank Glogg it's Friday. I tend to go with darker colors, I think it looks best with my skin tone. What are your favorite colors? Any brands that are a must have? Next Favorite Things is on March 30, and I'll be telling you all about my favorites...stay tuned.

I LOVE the wet and wild lipsticks. I know reminds you of when you were a kid right? No? Well it does for me, it was the brand to have back in the day. Anyway, these are long lasting, and great to put on. I have at least 10 colors? I think I might have a problem. So much so that I accidentally bought the same color twice! Oops, oh well, at least I'll never run out.

It doesn't seem they have a lot of inventory on line, but in the stores they do

Moving on to

Groceries

Mr. loves this brand of tea and Stash. They are super cheap at Target for some reason. At the grocery store they run $5 but at target they are around $3, save $2, yes please! Sometimes you can even get it on sale, it's so awesome, we definitely stock up when it's on sale.

They have some great deals on the food, just have to look for them. Like the other day I was buying some soda and if you bought 3 cases for $9 you got free 6 pack of Snapple, like what?! Okay then...I'm in! I ended up giving the Snapple to my parents, but hey free is free!

Dollar Section

Found this picture here, this is not a recent Target picture.

I love this section, I don't find stuff often that I get, but it's just the thrill that I MIGHT find something for a $1.

Cartwheel

Ever since I got my phone and I could finally get this little app called Cartwheel it's changed my life. Okay not really, but it's awesome, it gives you even MORE deal on stuff at Target! Yes Please.

I love that they have clearance stuff randomly throughout the store, it's like a treasure hunt to find the good deals.

So what are your favorite things at Target?

My Current Favorites Under $10

I was going to do a video for you, but couldn't get it edited in time, so that will have to be for another day. Today I bring you my current beauty favorites under $10.

image

My favorite lipstick: Wet and Wild Stoplight Red 911D

I love this lipstick, I just bought a bunch of colors yesterday, I hope some of them work out, but if they don't, no big deal because they are only $2.29 each and the color really does last.

My favorite eyelash glue: Revlon Precision Dark

I have told you guys I'm allergic to latex? Find an eyelash glue was hard, but I really like this one, although I have to admit this is the only one I've tried, but it works really well, it's black so it hides a multitude of sins, a bonus in my book and it's $3.99

Of course what goes with eyelash glue but eyelashes? These are my favorite, they are simple enough to wear everyday if you wanted, but long and thick enough to also wear at night. I know some people like to double them up, but I personally don't think you need it. Less is more right? These are only $3.49 a pack.

There ya go, some of my favorites right now. and really they were all under $5 so I get bonus points right?
