The Blended Blog Gift Exchange

Back in January I joined The Blended Blog with Spread the Love Gift Exchange. I couldn't wait to participate. I got paired up with Connie. Unfortunately my gift still has not made it to her. I am hoping that at least the post office gets it back to me? I must have accidentally written down the wrong address? I'm really sad that Connie didn't get her gift. So sorry Connie! I promise that you will get something, even if it means I got out and get something else!

Connie's gift got to me in plenty of time and I just love what she got me! She got me this cute necklace. It is so fun to get random mail.

It reminds me of one of the first necklaces I bought when I decided a few years ago to start wearing jewelry.

The Blended Blog Christmas Exchange

Hello! I know, I've missed a few days here, unplanned. I was really planning on posting on Friday, but Thursday I was just tired and couldn't get my act together, then the weekend happened and we went to my cousin's that is 100 miles away, so 200 miles round trip in one evening, then we left for LEGOLAND first thing Sunday morning. But today I'm excited to be blogging about another Christmas exchange I participated in with some of The Blended Blog ladies.

I got an awesome gift from Alison from Puppies and Pretties.

First let's talk that cute towel. It was packaged on top and the first thing I saw. So, so cute right?

But wait, it gets better, I opened it up after I took this picture and guess what? There were 4 foxes on it!

I got this picture after this guy tried to photobomb my picture.

And then I noticed the cute pom poms on the bottom. I was using it in my kitchen and was going to take a photo of it on our oven, but then Mini Fox dumped a cup of water on the kitchen table and tried to clean it up before we noticed...yep, with that towel, so it was soaked and couldn't get a picture.

Alison also sent me this cute fox spoon rest...SOO much better than the plain white one I had.

Then she sent me all of these cute soaps, she must have known my kids love Mickey and Minnie because these soaps are so cute. And the other one smell amazing, and will going into the downstairs bathroom for all of our Christmas Dinner guests (22 if you wanted to know).

There you have it, a beautiful box, just for me from Alison! Thank you so much Alison for the very thoughtful gift! Now go check out what I got Carrie from A Lovely Little Wardrobe! I tried to find something she wouldn't normally buy herself, but I thought she would look great in! I hope it fits. Else I hope she can get the correct size.

Christmas Cheer Blog Swap

She got me a cute snowman card. This was the sentiment inside.

 

 

The gingerbread houses are so cute, a whole village, we'll have fun doing those soon.

 

 

The snowman measuring spoons are so cute, they're currently sitting on my counter right next to my stove.

 

 

And these festive bells are hanging on the door to the cabinet where I keep our photo albums. I knew I didn't want to put it somewhere that we opened a lot because they are loud! I think they make this spot look a little more festive.

Style Me Bloggers - How We Share our Home

Happy Friday! Today is one of my off Fridays, so I'm off doing errands with Mini Fox prepping for Baby Fox's birthday party next weekend! Yikes, so much to do...why do I always wait till the last minute?!  Anyway...Back with my Bloggy Besties, for today we decided that we were going to do an exchange. We wanted to share either something from our home with them, or something that reminded us of home, it was really up to interpretation. I decided I was going to help my Bloggy friend decoration her house, head on over to Katie's blog to see what I gave her!

I got a pretty awesome gift from Deena! She decided to send us stuff that we can't get here in the States...she stuffed this thing full of goodies! Look how pretty that card is! I'm fairly certain she used her artist skills for that one. It currently sits on my fridge, so I get to see it everyday and remind myself how talented my friends are.

Let's break down what was in the box:

Her cute note. She decided to send all of the things in Canada that we can't get here in the states, how sweet is that?!

The box was completely stuffed, it was pretty awesome.

A closer look at everything

I can tell you that all of the candy went FAST! The kids begging for candy, haha!

We opened the Kinder Eggs the next day and I took a video for you Deena.

Mr. ate the chips the next day. Funny story, when we were up in  Tahoe there was someone there from Canada and we had been talking about our favorite chips. She said if she cold chose any chips she would pick the Ketchup chips from back home. We sort of laughed at her and said really?! Ketchup chips...then a few weeks later we get our very own bag. You better believe I sent her a picture of our very own bag, she was jealous. :) Mr. said they were really good and that he could see why they were her very favorite chip. Deena when you come visit us, don't forget the ketchup chips!

Mother's Day Exchange

When I saw that Jenny, Courtney, and Elizabeth were organizing a Mother's Day gift Exchange I jumped at the chance. Get to know someone else in blogland plus get a gift, I was all in. When I got my package, I couldn't wait to open it. I got the kids down for the night, got in my PJ's and opened it up. Here's what I saw when I opened it.

I saw that cup just sitting there and almost squealed in delight. I've been wanting one of those! 

The note card was so cute, too.

I just love handwritten messages, Jenny from The Chronicles of We was so sweet in her letter. She even picked one of my favorite colors and went with it. How did she do that?!

Yes Jenny, that cup will definitely be used poolside a lot this summer.

I have no idea how Jenny did it, it's like she was in my head. I've been meaning to get one of those cups. My love of post its goes deep, I don't know what it is about the, but I just love them. I've never had washi tape before, I have been wanting to get some, but haven't because I wasn't sure what I would do with it, but now that I have it, I might just washi everything in my house, would that be okay? The note card and journal was just too perfect. I have an obsession with note cards, and I love that they're for any occasion really, not just a Thank You note. One can never have enough lip balm and journals right?
