A Little of This and a Little of That

I took off early from work on Thursday so that we could take Baby Fox to his first movie, RIO 2, he loved it!

We let him eat as much candy as he wanted, and then pretty much had a stomachache the rest of the weekend, oops! He actually sat in one of our laps most of the time as he didn't weigh enough to keep the seats down and they kept folding up on him. haha.

Friday  the gym we signed up for in November, FINALLY opened! We finally got to check it out, and boy was it worth the wait! It's the most awesome gym ever, and it actually makes me excited to work out again. It has a rock wall, splash pad, two giant water slides, the best kids activity center ever (I can send Baby Fox to gymnastics, karate, music, intro to sports and lots of other things). So worth the money! We're just hoping we can figure out a new routine so we can use it. :)

Since we worked out and were feeling good, Mr. wanted some cookies, so after dinner Baby Fox and I made chocolate chip cookies, yum! That's really his "cheese" face, he isn't really that miserable, really. He couldn't wait to eat the beaters.

Saturday I did a cousins spa day, it was glorious, I was gone all day, we did a Barre class (really awesome if you haven't checked it out), treated myself to a mani/pedi and some lunch.

This picture color turned out super weird!

And then I tried to take an outfit post and the wind won. Or maybe I'm creating a new hair style?

Sunday some good friends were visiting from Virgina, and we went to this really cool air museum at the John Wayne Airport, it was really cool cause you could also see all the airplanes landing from the hanger we were in.

They had this take a picture thing there, it took at least 10 tries to get this picture. We didn't realize how high Mr. was throwing Baby Fox, but Baby Fox loved it.

And then just after taking an outfit post, I fell into our pool.

Now back to work...my Mother-In-Law and her bestie are coming to visit this weekend, so excited to see them!

Things That I Love

Love this girl and her crazy bed head! And yes it is in fact necessary to have that many pacifiers in her crib, you can't even see how many of them she's already thrown out of her crib and are sitting on the ground :)

He thinks he's a monkey, love his imagination

Love that every time we set her lose and this shopping cart is out, she goes straight for it, I think we have a shopper on our hands! YES!

Love that he loves cooking with me, every time I cook something he wants to come help me. (although it might look like this picture and the above picture was taken on the same day, it was not, he just happens to be wearing the same outfit)

See there she is again with her cart, and while we're at it, how many toys do these kids have?!

Love that he loves helping Mommy even when it's to unload the dishwasher, and he asked, please let this last forever!

Love my friends, they are awesome, I meet these ladies when the kids were about 3 months old and I don't know what I would do without them! Here are the kids at 3 months old

And now three years later, still all best friends, plus each one of them now has a sibling

Love how Mr. got dressed and then realized Baby Fox was wearing a striped shirt, so he went and changed so that both he and Baby Fox were wearing Stripey shirts

Love that Mini Fox has Mr. wrapped around her little finger and he would do anything for her, and she is already such a Daddy's girl. Of course her first word was Dada.

Dancing with his girl
Love that he likes to jump into my pictures

Love that everytime I see this picture it makes me laugh

Baby Fox and what he thought of carrots
So what are the little things that you love? I'd love to hear about them!

A Post Full of Firsts

We're on to week 2 of  The Challenge. So far I'm having so much fun doing this, so thank you Alison for getting me out of my comfort zone and giving me easy outfits that I just have to grab in the morning and don't really have to think much about it.

In case you missed the first 2 days, click here. Now onto this weeks outfits.

Day 3:

This is the first time I've ever worn boyfriend jeans. I was really skeptical about them, but bought them from Old Navy for less than $20, so I figured I wasn't wasting too much money if I didn't like them, but turns out I really do! I thought they would make me look super short, but I don't think they do. What do you think?

Boyfriend Jeans - Old Navy, Bright Tank - Target, Sweater - Target, Shoes - Nordstroms, Necklace - Old, but they are everywhere

Most comfortable wedges EVER! Go get a pair right now! She told me too, so I had to listen.
 Day 4

I think this one was the most out of my comfort zone. I mean a striped jacket and my first time wearing a chambray shirt? In the same outfit? I never would have thought to pair this together. Perhaps it was the 4:30am wake up time that in my delirious state I had a stroke of genius or I grabbed the wrong thing, either way I think it worked really well.

Pink Jeans - White House Black Market (Fall Clearance),  Shirt - Target, Jacket - Target, Shoes - DSW (old), Scarf - Old Navy

Day 5

I thought this outfit was ultra comfy and great for a Friday casual work day (oops I'm writing this at work, and apparently I picked a picture with my eyes closed, oops!)

Skinny Jeans - Loft (these are curvy jeans, they are the best!), T-Shirt - Target, Sweater - Target, Shoes - Toms (similar), Bracelet and Necklace - Francesca's Collection (old)

Day 6

I love maxi skirts I think this might be my go-to outfit from now on...super comfortable and you look put together.

Bright Tank - Target, Skirt - Nordstroms, Cropped Jean Jacket - Old Navy, Shoes - Nordstroms (no longer available in this color), Necklace - Old, Bracelets (old)
Thought I would add a cute picture of Mini Fox

Day 7

I think this might be one of my favorites. I love how the cuff of the shirt is rolled over the sweater and the blue necklace, adds just the right amount of statement.

Boyfriend Jeans - Old Navy, Top - Target, Sweater - Target, Shoes - Toms (similar), Necklace - Forever 21 (old), Bracelet - Brighton

Day 8

I think this was my least favorite of this week. Only because I couldn't find accessories that made me feel like this was my own. I was in a rush in the morning and couldn't find anything to offset the pretty teal color of the shirt.  In other news, this was the first time that I rolled a pair of jeans that weren't the boyfriend jeans that were rolled for me. And it was my first time wearing my leopard flats.

Skinny Jeans - Loft, Shirt - Target, Shoes - DSW (No longer available), Necklace - Loft (old)

Baby Fox wanted in with me

Baby Fox wanted to help me take selfies, Mr. wasn't home when I wanted to take these pictures.

See him holding the remote?

Day 9

I thought this outfit was super fun to wear. Maybe next time I'll wear my leopard flats.

White Jeans - Loft, Bright Tank - Target, Cropped Jean Jacket - Target, Shoes - Nordstroms, Scarf - Old Navy

This challenge is definitely pushing me to do things I wouldn't have done on my own, leopard flats (actually my hookerish shoes, I have had them for over 6 years and have worn them once), boyfriend jeans, rolling my jeans, Chambray shirts, jean jackets with jeans, striped blazers with a chambray shirt, the list goes on. I'm excited to see where these outfits take me next!

I had some random stuff to tell you, but the post is getting mega long, so I'll save them for another day :) Hopefully I don't forget them in the mean time!
