1 Meet Up, 2 Parties and a Sunday Dinner

Note: Picture heavy...you've been warned. :)

Another Monday, we had such a great weekend, I didn't want it to end, plus I need WAY more sleep, another day off sounds pretty nice right now. Friday after work we met up with some friends to let the kids run around and we both brought our own dinner and ate it on the grass, it was super fun and I expect we'll be doing that a lot more this summer.

Baby Fox is going to be playing soccer this Fall, and guess what, our friends are going to be the soccer coach! They were getting some practice time in. We kept trying to tell Baby  Fox, no hands! Guess he wants to be the goalie.

Mini Fox ate and watched them play soccer.

Thrill seeker this one is.

Our playdates always end in some sort of ice cream/yogurt. They just opened this ice cream sandwich place, but the line was super long, so we opted for frozen yogurt. The kids didn't seem to mind the change in plans.

I need longer arms, sorry E for cutting you out there
These two boys are 2 months apart...Baby Fox is the older one, haha, he looks so small!

Saturday was my usual Saturday morning hike.  I didn't take any pictures because it was just cloudy and grey. We're getting our usual June gloom, but it's good because I'm not sure if I'll be hiking in the summer, too hot for this girl.

Saturday I decided to to a Vlog plus do a Get to Know Me Tag on youtube, so look for that video on Thursday, if I can get my act together.

Breakfast was bacon, eggs and toast, and some cheese for Mini Fox yum! Everyone eats breakfast with a princess crown right?

We decided to do a family trip to get my car smogged and while we were waiting we went to Target to pick up some gifts. When did she get old enough to stand on the cart? Don't worry it was short lived, as soon as we got into the store she was in the cart where she belongs.

Mr. had promised them Krispy Kreme the night before, so we delivered on that promise.

Tough choice right?

They have these mini donuts that are 1/3 the size of a regular donut, it is perfect for the little humans.

Since we had just eaten the donuts, neither kid was hungry for lunch, so put them down for an early nap (since had the party to go to and had to leave by 3:30), they ate lunch after they woke up about 3. (outfit #2 for Mini, I thought the dress would be too uncomfortable to sleep in)

My mom and Sister were invited to the party too. This place was so much fun, you'll see in the vlog on Thursday. Yep and outfit #3, her previous outfit didn't make it through lunch.

Going down the slide.

It's hard wrangling this many kids.

Time to eat!

Wasn't this balloon huge?! Mini Fox loved it.

Birthday boy...Baby Fox did not want anything to do with taking another picture.

Sunday was a pretty great day too. Breakfast was pancakes.

Mini Fox and I went to the grocery store, in which I took no pictures, oops. And then when I got back I took Baby Fox to swim lessons. Mini Fox and Mr. stayed behind because she had to go down for an early nap because we had yet another birthday party, and we wanted her to get a full nap in.

After nap time we headed to another birthday party. This one was also at a place and was super fun. the first room was full with bounce houses.

I love when they hold hands

I tried to get a picture, she didn't want anything to do with it.

The second room was a ball pit/firing area...super fun.

Load  the gun

Then push the little button to make it shoot a puff of air, which send the balls flying down below. Don't worry they are super soft and you could barely tell they were even hitting you.

Baby Fox is aiming it directly at us.

They also has a ball flying area, where you could put balls into a machine and it sent the balls flying out.

And hidden behind the scenes and it was quite difficult to get to, was this awesome slide. Luckily Baby Fox found a short cut to get to it, so that helped.

Time for food, Mini Fox went to town on the pizza, actually this is pretty much all she ate, we gave her some rice and Kahlua pork and she chose that instead of pizza. Smart girl.

Happy Birthday!

She doesn't like being center of attention at all, haha!

Baby Fox with the birthday girl.

Then...I know can you even believe I am typing, Then...with something after it? We headed to my parents house for Sunday dinner. Mom made pot roast, it was delicious.

So happy my parents live so close by, it's great being able to do Sunday dinners, plus I don't have to cook on Sunday, yes please! Next week they're headed to our house for some BBQ Shrimp and Father's Day celebration.

Okay, that is finally the recap to our weekend. I think Saturday could have been one of the best days EVER. I got to spend the entire day with my family and see some friends. I just love days when we do mundane errands together just so we can be together. It's pretty much perfect in my book.

If you made it to the end of this, congrats! Now tell me what your most favorite thing of your weekend was.

Friday Favorites #31

It's FINALLY Friday! I feel like this week took forever. Anyone else? We have two birthday parties this weekend and we're hanging out with some friends tonight. Yay! Jam packed weekend, how I like it. Onto my Friday Favorites of the week.

Last night Baby Fox went with me to get my first allergy shot, it went well!

Waiting for the 15 minutes after getting the shot, he found an allergy book in the waiting room that he was obsessed with - we got to take it home (it was really a pamphlet from a drug company that they left in the waiting room for the kids, haha, genius)

First shot a success! For those of you that have had allergy shots, they did a 1:100,000 dilution...now I just need to get a 1:1 ratio and I'm all set to go. Yep I have a long road ahead of me.

After the appointment we went to grab some dinner. The kids have been asking for "meat and rice" AKA Persian food all week, we finally went to get it. We also had to stop at the grocery store to get some stuff...while walking back this is what Baby Fox said...he said, "I'm so hungry, I'm going to take just a little nibble of Mini Fox", haha!

After dinner and baths the kids were playing around, she finally mastered (sort of) going down the slide and not crash landing...well the first time at least.

Love when Mr. sends me pictures of him and the kids...or just of the kids, makes my whole day.

Last night waiting for dinner, she thought putting the lego on her head was the funniest thing ever.

What a great balancer (yep just made that word up, cause I can't think of a better one to use) this reminds me of a debutant getting ready for her society debut.

Can you tell she's obsessed with princess clothes?

Doesn't everyone see a $230,000 car on their way home from work? It's really pretty, but I can't fathom every spending that much money on a car!

His license plate frame says "My Other Car is a Mazda Miata MX5", hehe

Not sure if you guys knew this or not, but I'm really into sports cars. I have no idea why, I just really want one, you after I put my kids through college. It can be my, I don't have kids in college gift to myself. Used of course. But for a long while I wanted a Dodge Viper. Isn't it pretty?

Now that I'm older and more sophisticated (haha, ya right), I've moved onto a convertible Maserati.

Equally pretty but more sophisticated dontcha think? It's only double the cost...LOL. A girl can dream can't she?

Love our backyard, and the fact that the kids like playing in the dirt, who knew when we designed the backyard that would be such a big bonus?

Just a girl wearing a dress mowing the lawn :)

Baby Fox is showing me how his water gun works.

That's all I have for this week! What was your favorite thing this week? Don't forget to check out my Day In the Life Video, there's people fighting in the park and a Newport Coast sunset.

Vlog #4 - People Fighting at The Park

Hello all! Hope you are having a great week, only 1 more day and it's the weekend! We have two birthday parties to go to this weekend, so we are going to be busy! I typically take it one week at a time and last week was a particularly rough one, so I didn't realize we had two birthday parties until earlier this week, and no gifts! Luckily they are kid birthdays, so it shouldn't be too bad! Going to take one of the kids to Target...of course.

I have another vlog for you all. I know most people don't watch it, but I'm finding it fun to do them and put them together and just remember everything we've been up to. I seriously don't know how people do this daily! Wait for the end of the vlog and there's a link to a how I get ready....which was a big fat fail video too!

My LBD and some Randoms

I wish I had gotten better pictures before leaving for my night out on Saturday. But I didn't so...moving on. Why do I look so short?! Anyway, besides all of that, I love this dress, it's so fun and a great little black dress to own. My mom found it at Nordstroms Rack.

Why does my head look so big?

Hey I actually look normal here, although I've taken the windy through my hair to the extreme. Okay maybe it's not me, it's the weather.

Some randoms:

  • I think I'm getting sick, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, please say it isn't so. Now I'm not sure if I should go to the gym tonight, but I know me, I probably will and then spend the next three days getting over the fact that I pushed my body to far. Gotta get my workout in, gotta get R.I.P.P.E.D.

  • My allergy shots are ready...I'm scared to start, mostly because it's such a time commitment...yikes! But at least there is an end in sight...like 6-7 months from now.

  • This girl loves her some princess clothes. She's all about Princess this and princess that. Monday my parents bought her a Sofia the First dress, she immediately put it on and then stood on this box and started twirling...if that doesn't say girl, I don't know what would!

No princess would be complete without some pink monster teeth right?

Come back tomorrow to see our Saturday Vlog and maybe half a video on how to do my make up (I started filming it and ran out of disk space, oops! I have since bought a 32GB disk at Costco, should never happen again, EVER. I hope).

Weekend Happenings

Hello Monday, my first 5 day work week in three weeks, not sure how I'm going to survive, maybe I'll take Friday off, LOL.

Friday was another off day. Baby Fox got sick on Thursday so he stayed home from school on Friday. Mr. stayed with him while Mini Fox and I went and did some errands. As I was driving I could tell Mini Fox was doing something in her car seat and when I went to get her I see that she's gotten her arm out of her shirt. Houdini I tell ya.

Love that I've trained her to automatically say cheese and smile when she sees a camera or my phone, it's awesome. We were at a used book store and I bought one of the books I thought I was missing from my Harry Potter collection, turns out I was wrong and still have that copy, oops!

Side Note: I've only read the first 4 HP books, eventually I'll read them with Baby Fox...and then Mini Fox.

Friday night Mr. and I had somewhere to be in San Diego but after we were done we decided to go to a nice dinner. We went to West Farm, it's on the same exit as the one for Legoland. It was really good. The chef came out and gave us a taste of a sauce he was working on, delicious! If you're in the area, highly recommend, plus they have their own farm that they get all their veggies from. Yum! I forgot to take a picture of our dinner, we were just hungry.

We had to sit in the bar area as there wasn't any open tables available until 8:30pm, boo.

I did make Mr. not eat this so I could take a picture of his dessert, Bread Pudding.

Saturday I tried to Vlog, so watch for that on Thursday, not as many pictures. Although we didn't do much. We went on a new hike, it's called Top of the World in Laguna Beach, really awesome hike! It's 6 miles round trip and so much fun. View from about 2 miles in.

See that trail behind us? That's the trail that we used to do!

These pictures are just not doing the view we had any justice at all. I'll have to bring my point and shoot next time, iPhone just isn't cutting it.

You can't tell, but that is all ocean behind us.

After I got back we made breakfast and of course the kids wanted to go to the park...that is 3/4 a mile away from our house...alright then, I guess I'm doing some more walking.

We get to the park and there are probably 100 people sword fighting in the park, no joke. You can't really tell from this picture, but wait for the video on Thursday, it's crazy!

Relaxing after the park waiting for lunch to magically show up.

During nap time I got ready to go take pictures of my friends company party. I even did a little video for them. I figure we're on a boat, how many pictures can I take of people talking? So I decided to do a little video. It came out cute, I think. It wasn't windy or anything, LOL.

Sunday was really low key, and I only took two pictures, oops. I took Mini Fox grocery shopping for the week, then when we got back we headed to swim lessons for Baby Fox. We think we might do ISR (infant self rescue) lessons for Mini Fox. Has anyone done them?

That 4th bottom tooth finally decided to polk through, so now she has 4 upper teeth, 4 lower teeth and a set of molars.
The kids wanted Sunflower Seed Butter (like peanut butter, only with sunflower seeds, really yummy, get the Trader Joe's one) and jelly sandwiches. And when did Mini Fox get old enough to sit at the kids table?!

Mini Fox ended up getting what Baby Fox had and what you see on her plate, yea she didn't eat any more than that, she really just smeared it all around, lol.
Sunday night made dinner, worked on the video and editing pictures for my friend so I can get those off to her and watched Game of Thrones. Anyone else watching that? I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't watched it yet, but wow, that last part there was awesome! Can't wait for next week. Confession, Mr. and I have HBO Go, and we binged watched the first 8 episodes this week, so we could watch the last two episodes in real time.  I don't think I could wait every week for a new episode. haha.

How was your weekend? Anything fun and exciting happen?
