Good-bye Mr. - We'll Miss You!

Happy Monday! Or is it? I'm so tired today, I just don't sleep well the first night that Mr. is gone on a trip. Anyway, this weekend was more low key than expected.

Let's jump into our thought process of how this happened:

Okay, both Mr. and I like a clean fridge, so we're constantly going through it. We kept coming across this can of Whipped Cream, brand new never opened, but not expired, so we won't throw it out. So the most logical thing to do is make this right?

Uncooked

Cooked and ready to eat. We had some friends coming over on Saturday night, so we figured it would get eaten.

That big slit there on the bottom pie, Mr. he really wanted to make sure it was actually done

But Baby Fox woke up on Saturday throwing up, poor kid. First time he's ever thrown up, besides when he was a baby. It was so sad, he took one bite of breakfast and it came up, and he yells, Mommy I spit up. Mr. goes over to check it out, and it just kept on coming poor guy. But I have to hand it to him, he's the most polite thrower upper ever. So we had to cancel on our friends which we were totally bummed about.

So he was pretty much out of commission for most of the day. We had this whole family outing planned too. So it was just me and Mini Fox. I wanted to keep her out of the house, becasue she just wanted to be all over Baby Fox and we didn't want her to get what ever he had. So I stayed out extra long with Mini Fox, we decided to meet up with Mom for a late lunch.

When Baby Fox woke up from his nap he was feeling MUCH better, mostly back to himself, so whatever it was was gone in a few hours. Thankfully. Since we weren't going to have friends over, someone needed to eat the whipped cream right?

The kids thought it was so much fun.

And he thought the pie tasted pretty good too. Minus the crust, he liked just eating the whipped cream and the filling. So happy whatever he had lasted just a few hours. We got lucky.

Sunday was another low key day, tried to make waffles.

Mr. said he could do it better than me...at least mine didn't spill everywhere...just sayin'.

Then we had Baby Fox's swim lessons. Only two more left, then I'm officially a soccer mom.

Sister patiently waiting. The only time we let her have a pacifier outside of her crib/sleeping/the car. Anything to keep her happy for 30 minutes right?

Costco has all of the Halloween costumes on sale right now. This Batman was only $16.99! Seriously best costume ever! He loves it...

I personally love that Mini Fox is carrying around her cell phone and purse. LOL, such a girl.

We let Baby Fox skip his nap so that he could get some extra time in with Mr. before he left, a lot of wrestling happened.

Sunday after Mini Fox woke up, Mr. had to leave so we got some family pictures in before he took off.

Batman joined us.

We headed to my parents for dinner. I had to show you what we saw earlier, this time I was ready and had a camera on me...so first this guy runs over this concrete sign...

Then... you see that blue mail box but the do not enter sign? Just above my side mirror? Ye there used to be 3 mail boxes there...and now there is 1, he took out two of the double wide mail boxes...and then crashed into the post office wall, although you can barely see that damage. Crazy! When we saw it the first time they were just about to two the truck away and it was around noon, so either they take forever to clean up messes, or it just happened in the morning, wonder what happened?

Whenever Mini Fox sees my sister she always wants to watch the Let it Go video on her phone. Probably because we don't let her watch anything on our phones. haha.

At the end of the video Olaf comes on, and EVERY.SINGLE.TIME Mini Fox, gets super excited and screams out OLAF!! She's seen the video no less than 30 times. It never gets old.

Dinner was great, my mom followed us home so she could spend the night so I could go to work today. We watched a movie together, just like when I lived at home, it was great.

How was your weekend? Do anything fun?

Friday Favorites #37

Happy Friday! Yay for weekends! We actually don't have many plans, pretty low key. Mr. is set to leave on Sunday afternoon, so we're going to try and soak up as much family times as possible between now and then. But first, my favorite things this week:

Some pictures from our Legoland trip on Wednesday.

Full disclosure we took this picture at the end of the day because we knew there wouldn't be as many people as when we got there.

Tried to get a picture with the kids....

Oh there that picture is.

Okay rewind to the beginning of the day.

Waiting in line

We found a Legoman...and we got in line just time as we were the last ones they let take pictures with him.

One of the only rides that Mini Fox was allowed on, she loved it. We probably should have gone on it twice, maybe next time. Hopefully next time she'll have grown about an inch so she can go on more rides.

They had whole cities set up, here the boys are watching the Trolly in San Francisco.

They also had a whole Star Wars lego scene.  Pretty awesome.

We went on a boat ride that Mini couldn't go on, she was trying to sneak on with us...nope not going to happen Mini Fox.

Last ride of the day and she hasn't napped.AT.ALL and is fighting the sleep.

Had to let Mini Fox go with our friends while we got past the worker and actually got in the line, almost there!

This girl loves to dance, and she's obsessed with this tutu right now.

Yesterday went to get my allergy shots (4 this time), and we stepped into the hallway to order dinner (Thai Food), he was looking out the window and Mini Fox wanted to look but couldn't reach to see, so Baby Fox lifted her up.

Holding my hand while I get my shots, haven't taken both kids to the doc before and all seemed to go well.

Got this picture at work this week, Mini Fox said she wanted to send me a picture of all the stickers she put on herself.

Also got this, she's so cute...when she wants to be.

What was your favorite part of your week?

Not My Video Thursday

Okay, so I lied, I don't have my Vlog ready today. Most of the times, I'll get most of the vlog ready and then Wednesday after work I add the ending credits and the music, but last night we got home sort of late from Legoland and I was just WAY too tired to do anything other then get ready for work today...and I barely got that done.

So I figured I would show you some videos that I've been liking lately.

I thought this was a super cool video and someone has way too much time on their hands.

My old professor's husband posted this video to FB, and I thought I would show you one of the reasons I loved my college so much. Although half of the buildings are new, heck they didn't offer cable on campus until my sophomore year and the first off campus establishment...guess what it was? Jamba juice and it was a HUGE deal my Senior year. Now they have so much more, not sure if I should be jealous or just love the fact that life was so much more simple before smart phones and facebook, wait did I just date myself there?

Loving this song. I started following Brooklyn and Bailey's Mom's hair channel and then found the girls. They are so sweet and put out really sweet videos. But loving this song that they did with Peter. Wow what a voice/ how talented is Peter, all of his videos are awesome, and the fact that he does it all, mind blowing.

So what have been your favorite videos lately? Send them my way!

How I Styled It - Pattern Mixing

I'm joining in on the how I styled it link up - topic this month is Pattern Mixing. I love pattern mixing, it's so fun and something I totally would not have done prior to the Style Me Challenge with Alison.

I know this sort of is cheating, but it's just too hot outside to get clothes on and go outside take pictures, rinse and repeat. So instead I'm going to show you one dress that has pattern mixing and how I styled it three different ways. Hope you're okay with that.

First up: Just the dress.

I bought this dress at Target during my second challenge. I saw it and knew right away that I had to have it. It's the perfect mix of floral and strips, two of my favorite things.

Next up:

I tied a simple chambray at my waist, and rolled up the sleeves. I love this look, but right now it's just too hot to wear this, but this is a great spring outfit. I think next time I'll add my new vest to the mix.

Last but not least my trusty denim jacket, seriously I wear them almost everyday, it's a sickness. But it's perfect for the morning when I'm leaving for work.

I love the fountain background in these pictures, my parents have the best place to take pictures.

And some randoms:

We're headed to Legoland today! So excited, but it's suppose to be in the 90's, I always seem to pick going to amusement parks on the hottest of days, wish me luck! Last time we went Mini Fox was only 13 months old...she was so tiny!

What you do when you're stuck in traffic and it's your turn to drive the van, everyone is asleep. Shhh, don't tell him I took a picture of him while sleeping, hehe. There are two others in the van who are also sleeping. See look wearing my jean jacket again...

This is just the cutest. I found it on Mr.'s phone after I uploaded all of his stuff onto the computer. Kids are so cute when they think they're hiding from us. I can't see you, so you can't see me mentality is the cutest.

What's your favorite thing to pattern mix?
