Friday Favorites #137

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Today is my day off and it's the first off Friday that I've had where I don't have to do anything for anyone else. I'm going to go to the gym do a dance jam class I've been wanting to take (mostly because in October he teaches us how to do the Thriller Dance), and then I"m going to the mall. I get a whole 4 hours to myself and I am taking advantage! Alright onto some Friday Favorites.

Saturday we headed to the Angels game with some box seats, really is there any other way to do a game? Okay there is, but it was super fun and nice to have a clean, readily available bathroom in the suite.




And there was the most spectacular fireworks show at the end.



Sunday I got up early to go grocery shopping, but Baby Fox woke up as I was leaving and wanted to go with me, who am I to say no to that cute face? He was super excited to head to the store with me.


Then I did a bunch of food prep when we got home, and tried to go to the movies and now for a second week in a row we struck out. We're going to try again this weekend...hopefully we'll get in! But we did occupy the kids with some yogurt and some duck duck goose, it came in  a distant second to seeing the Ninjago movie.




I did try to make it up to the kids with a Red Box movie and a carpet popcorn party...


Then Mini Fox wanted to try and learn how to ride her bike with training wheels, she totally rocked it, I'm so proud of her!

We went to my parents for dinner and she wanted to bring the bike with her.


Monday Mini Fox had her first gymnastics class and LOVED it and can't wait to go back.




Wednesday Mr. worked from home and got this view when she realized he was home.


Last night I went out with a girlfriend from 7th grade for dinner, it was fantastic to catch up. It had been way too long!

Remember back in the day when you heard your song on the radio and you quickly ran to press record, which resulting in always having the first 5-10 seconds of a song not there? Yep...this is what modern kids think of tapes today...so funny.



hahaha, what happens when a bat is in your house and you just record your friend trying to get it...so dang funny!


What's going on in your world? Anything fun and exciting this weekend? We have a fundraiser we're helping with...I still need to put a bunch of stuff together, wish me luck!

Sentence A Day: September Edition

1- Fri-yay! (Did I really just say that?)

2- Beach day, followed by a yummy dinner and a night without the kids makes for one great day.



3- The kids stayed up till 1 or 2am at my parents and were rock stars Apple Picking, so fun!


4- Thanksgiving for dinner on Labor Day, cause why not?



5- Party prep, party prep, party prep.

6- Mini Fox's first day of school!



7- Party prep, party prep, party prep.

8- My first off Friday when both kids are at school in 6.5 years, I might have shouted woo hoo, after I dropped them both off.

9- Happy 4th Birthday Mini Fox, you are one of the best things to happen to us!



10- Party day, such a great day with family and friends!

11- Mini Fox is having a hard time adjusting to Baby Fox going to school.

12- Uncontrollable crying by Mini Fox, what is going on?!

13- Back to school night, how is this 1-2 combo class going to work?

14- Mr. had to drive home because Mini Fox would no stop crying, will this ever end?

15- MIL and BIL are in town, which means Mexican for dinner, yum!

16- Curtis's cousin's wedding, so much fun, and a gorgeous venue.


17- Celebrating my cousin with a baby shower, plus 6 hours without kids, not going to lie, I didn't mind driving the 3 hours to and from.



18- BIL wants In and Out for dinner, can't argue with that.


19- Day 1 of the cleanse...not too bad.



20- Day 2 of the cleanse, I actually worked out and didn't feel horrible, that's a change.

21- Last day of the cleanse, wasn't as hard as it was the last two times I've done it.

22- Wart removal via freeze is never fun for a 4 year old, but she did great. (She said she never wants to do that again, unfortunately we have to repeat it 2-3 more times)



23- "Away" soccer game followed by lunch with the parents.

24- It's my Super Bowl (deemed by Mr.), family picture day. (Picture taking is done and the kids are excited we're not yelling at them to stop playing with the sand, haha!)



25- My kids have never had and didn't know what tator tots were, I have failed as a parent



26- Kids had tator tots and love them, who wouldn't?!



27- Back to R.I.P.P.E.D

28- And then there was no MNO because I got the wrong date, boo!

29- Longest week EVER!

30- Watching the Angels game from box seats, I can get used to this!

3 Fall Outfits

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Hope you are all having a great week. I have a bit of a sore throat, but am hoping that it goes away by the weekend, too much fun to be had this weekend! Styling:

I've mentioned this a few times, but this month I am participating in the Common Threads Challenge, where we pick 5 things from our closet and then each day have to use one of those 5 things and pick our outfit around that.



Wondering what I picked? Wait no longer, here are the 5 things I picked.
Black and Whit Striped Skirt (Similar) / Burgundy Tee / Black Blazer / Skinny Jeans / Booties (Similar and 50% off!) /

So we're three days into this thing and these are the three outfits I've chosen so far. Sorry, you're only going to get a full outfit one or two of the days, as the other days, I am working and don't have time to take a full picture, and I don't have a mirror that I can take a picture with. The one that I have I would be shooting into the sun, so you would see a whole lot of bathroom and not much of me. haha.

Day 1:

Simple outfit for a day doing errands and cooking.





Skirt / Tee (color: green berry) / Shoes (Similar)

Day 2: 



Grey Pants (similar) / Tee / Heels (Similar)

Day 3:



Dress (similar but long sleeve version)  / Cardigan (Similar) / Booties

Saving:

Hopefully money because I am remixing my closet up.

Searching:

For the perfect desk for our bedroom. It will also serve as a background to my Youtube videos. I'm thinking about getting this.



Picking:

Nothing at the moment. Pumpkins in a couple of weeks? Does that count?

Making:

I'm making a Wine Pull for a fundraiser I'm helping with on Saturday. Full details when I get my act together. Oh and if you don't know what a Wine Pull is, you label wine corks with a number, and then have a cute way to display, and people pay x amount of dollars to pull a wine cork and then they receive a wine bottle that has that number that you pulled. Many I have to get my act together...got to start this! At least I bought all of the stuff to do the project?

10 Must Haves For Your Beauty Routine

When I saw Becky do this, I knew I had to participate in it too. Each month there is a topic to discuss and it's numbered, there is nothing better then that. Seriously, here are the topics for the rest of the year. Thanks Erin for hosting.


Last year I showed you my make up stash and things in my bathroom drawers.



Today I decided to tell you the things in my bathroom drawers that are must haves. In full disclosure, I am counting the drawers that I have below my sink...


Side note: I completely redid my bathroom at the beginning of the year, took pictures, filmed a video and have yet to put it together...new goal: finish this project and put it on the blog before the end of the year.

Okay let's get to the products:

I use every single one of this products on repeat throughout the month. 

#1 - Best eyebrow pencil, thick end to let you get a lot done at once, best for this lady who is short on time.
#2 - I have used up 3 of these, and moving onto my 4th one, that's how much I love it.
#3 -  I have tried other dry shampoos but that one is by far the BEST one.
#4 - My favorite eyelashes, although there is a brand from Walmart called Kiss that might make it's way into the main drawer soon.
#5 - Best eyelash curler for almond shaped eyes like myself..
#6 - I have become obsessed with and may or may not own 10 colors...with more wants on the list...I have a problem! 
#7 - I'm on my second one of this jar of concealer. Love this stuff.
#8 - Hands down best bobby pins, if you are using the drug store ones, stop what you're doing and order this, it's only $5 or so, worth it!
#9 - I usually go with fake lashes and don't use mascara but when I do mascara on top of my fakes I use this. My real eyelashes are so short no amount of mascara will make you see them. 
#10 - Best all around make up palette, so many looks with one palette.

TBB Asks: October Edition

It's the first Monday of the month, which means The Blended Blog is asking the questions and we're answering. I love these days, because easy post and everyone gets a better glimpse into our lives. So let's get started:


1. Favorite Fall sweet treat? Hot Chocolate, I don't drink it much, but it's oh so good when I do.

2. Red, Yellow or Green Apples? Red, specifically Fuji apples and Honey Crisp when in season.

3. Favorite Fall spot to play? Well I don't play many sports, but I do like throwing the football around. (fun fact, I can throw a perfect spiral almost every time).

4. Best drink for Fall? Hot chocolate

5. Favorite Fall activity? Going to the pumpkin patch and figuring out family Halloween Costumes.

6. Must have Fall purchase? More booties, give me all the booties.

7. Pumpkins: Pick your own or store bought? Store bought, the ones where you pick your own are quadruple the price.

8. Real or Fake pumpkins? Real, although I have my fair share of fake ones.

9. Favorite Halloween Costume? Hmm...that's a tough one, I like all of them, but I guess I'll have to go with the Three Bears, mostly because I made the bear costumes myself.



10. College football or NFL? College, Go IRISH!

11. Fall or Halloween decor? Halloween all the way! Confession: I might skip Fall altogether. Mr. is going on a few business trips back to back and before that we're going away for a weekend (we're taking the kids to Arizona to go on the Polar Express), so the only weekend we have to decorate for Christmas is the weekend of Nov. 11th, crazy right? I think we'll probably get the trees up, cause I can't do that myself. Maybe I'll wait to actually decorate them until after Thanksgiving.

12. Raking leaves or no leaves to rake? No leaves, don't have many tress in our yard.

13. Favorite Soup? French Onion Soup, so yummy! (recipe coming soon!)

14. Favorite Fall candle scent? Bath and Body Works Spiced Apple Toddy, yum!

15. Love or hate pumpkin spice? Hate it!

16. Short booties or tall boots? Short booties, it's not really cold enough here to wear tall boots all that much.

17. Favorite Halloween candy? Twix and Candy Corn, so yummy.

18. PSL : Yes or No? NO. Take a look at what Mr. thought of his first PSL.


19. Hayride or Corn Maze? I've never done that. I went in a corn maze once, but it went in a spiral so you couldn't really get lost...and I'm allergic to hay, so I've never done that either...I live a sheltered life here.


20. Favorite Fall TV show? Grey's Anatomy. I know, it's the first show Mr. and I started watching as a married couple, we can't give up on it now.
