Currently: March

Hi Foxy Friends! I finally remembered to link up with Anne in Residence for her currently post. Each month she picks different topics that we talk about, this month it is: choosing, imagining, making, recommending and wearing.

Choosing

We're choosing to believe that we'll be able to go to Hawaii for a Summer vacation. It's booked, so hopefully we'll be able to go on it! Fingers crossed. We're so excited, to soak up some sun and lots of beach time. This is from 2019 when we went to the Big Island. This time around we're going to Maui.

Imagining

Trying to imagine what life is going to be like going forward. We're coming up on a year in quarantine and wondering how we are going to get back to going to the movies and concerts. Right now I'm just happy they are assuming baseball is going to happen. We had try outs last Saturday.

Making

Cups for all of my friends, and some hats also.

Making some Toddler birthday shirts this week...steady stream of business. So if you need anything, let me know! Right now I'm working at putting together an Etsy store, so if you could go like my store, that would be amazing! So when I do get up and running I'll already have some followers :) Thank you!

Also a lot of bread for neighbors and friends. I've made 10 or so loaves in the last 2 weeks. It's a vicious cycle with sourdough starter, you have to feed it, but you don't want to waste it, so you bake something and you don't want to eat that much bread, so you give it away. haha. And now all these people really like the bread, so I keep making the rounds of people who want it.

Oh and some sourdough cinnamon rolls. They are delicious.

I feel like a more well rounded person would recommend some awesome books to read, or cool pod casts to listen to...but I have done neither. The last book I read was Class Mom back in May maybe? It was hilarious. It's a fictional story of a room mom and her hilarious letters to the classroom to get parents to volunteer and such. There are other story lines in-between, the whole book was a light read and relatable. Highly recommend.

Other then that, I would highly recommend these leggings. I have a few pairs and wear them all the time.

Wearing

Currently wearing all of the athleisure wear. Truth be told, I owned two maybe 3 pairs of leggings, that I never wore, pre quarantine. Now I can't  count that high, oops! I just keep buying more...what is wrong with me? And I keep buying cute sweaters to wear with said leggings. Our cold weather last approximately 2 seconds, so I'm not sure why I am buying all these warm comfy clothes. I'm going to go with my house is cold?

This jacket is my favorite jacket currently, so much so I might have it in a berry color

This sweater, a friend got me and it's so soft. I would however size up from your normal size. It's actually a pink marbly color, but you can't really see it in the photos.

Last but not least, I actually bought this sweater to go with these leggings. I think the combo is just too cute.

Make up is all Senegence:
CCTM in Medium, Foundation in Tan, Eyeshadow is Plum Berry, Rustic Brown and Glitter Pink and lip color is Amore with Glossy Glossy. If you want to get any of the make up contact Becky, she'll get you all hooked up.

And what's a photoshoot without a jumping picture. Can I tell you how hard it is to do a jumping picture with a timer? I'm jumping for joy that this is my new work uniform.

So what have you been wearing lately?

California Fall Outfit

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Wednesday! I can't believe it's Wednesday, I have a big project due on Friday...not close to being done...not good. Oops! Anyway, that doesn't stop me from dressing cute though :) I know this week on The Blended Blog is all about plaid...but a while ago I decided plaid just wasn't my thing. Even though I try, I don't think it looks that great on me? Perhaps I haven't found the right thing yet? Not sure, but I thought today I would share my perfect California Fall outfit.

I saw this shirt from Dani from Coffee Break with Dani, and I had to get it. It's so cute with the ruffle and a perfect addition to my Fall wardrobe. It's thicker, so it will keep me somewhat warmer than my thinner tank tops. The jeans I got from the Nordies Anniversary Sale and are so comfy and they are currently on sale!

Just need to add a sweater to this and it would transition right into California winter.

New Twist On An Old Favorite: Jean Jacket

Hi Foxy Friends! Another Wednesday and another fashion post for you all. Today I'm sharing one of the things I got in my Seattle haul when I was up there.

Related: Seattle Vlog

First can we talk about how comfortable this jacket is? I mean it's not only stylish, but it is so soft and comfortable and WARM! I'm always, always cold, and when I grab this jacket, I'm never cold, you know for the 60°F (15°C) weather we are currently having.

Jeans /  Shirt / Boots (Similar)

The sleeves on this jacket are so warm and soft, if it was socially acceptable I would wear this all day everyday. So glad that Abbie made me try it on and buy it. Thanks Abbie for knowing what I wanted before I did!

Thanks for continuing to make this link up a success, now add some fashion posts and meet some new people!

Favorite Sweaters and What Up Wednesday

Hi Foxy Friends! Welcome to another week of The Blended Blog Style.

I got this sweater at the Nordstrom anniversary sale and finally it's starting to get cooler...actually not true, it was cold for 6 seconds and then we're back up to 80's...good news though, we are going back down to the 60's, next week for Christmas, yay for colder weather for Christmas!

Today I'm also linking up with Mel, Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday. I like looking back on these, especially since it's the same questions each month, click here for the past months.

What we're eating this week:

Meatloaf on Sunday, then we were going to eat left overs for Monday and Mr. comes home and says there isn't enough meatloaf to eat tonight, I think we should get pizza, so pizza we got. We recently found a pizza place near us, where you can get a bacon chicken ranch and it is SOOO good! So we get half that and then half of whatever Mr. wants. Yum! I should take a picture next time, don't worry we get pizza every 10 days or so...so bad right? What do you like on your pizza?

What I'm reminiscing about:

This time last year, how much the kids have grown and how many new experiences they've gone though this past year. I can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!

What I'm loving:

I have been loving all of these things. I have the tee in 5 or 6 colors, they are so comfy, I want to wear it ALL the time. The Exfoliator I got in my FabFitFun box and I love it. I use it once a week, and it makes my skin feel so soft. My friend got my the eyeliner for my birthday and I am obsessed! I used to use this one religiously, but since discovering this new one...oh my goodness, winged eyeliner game is perfect. It goes on gorgeous over eye shadow and it doesn't pick it up like some other ones do and make it less pigmented. So pretty. And the boots, holy cow, they fit over my big calves...I repeat they fit over my calves. And rumor has it (or reviews online), say that it fits skinny calves too...go get them, they are $50 and worth every penny! I just got these fairy lights and they are so fun! Remote control and on a timer, so it goes on automatically. So dang cool right? 4 strands for $20 making it $5 a strand, easy decision to buy! They can go anywhere in the house.

What we've been up to:

Spending time with my family, keeping busy with getting ready for Christmas, trying to squeeze in time to see my friends before the Holidays.

What I'm dreading:

I'm off for 10 days with the kids and I'm already dreading going back to work in the new year! Boo!

What I'm working on:

Trying to come up with content for the new year and come up with some videos for my YouTube Channel. Anyone have any requests?

What I'm excited about:

Christmas and Baby Fox's birthday! I'm going to be making him this cake this year. He's looking forward to turning 7 because we told him he couldn't drink soda until he turned 7. (Back Story: I drink Diet 7-Up and once he asked us if he could have some and we told him it was caleld 7-Up and that it meant that you couldn't have it unless you were 7 or up...it stuck, so he's super excited to drink it)

What I'm watching/reading:

I guess this counts as watching/listening. But have you seen this guy? His videos ARE SO GOOD and unique. I mean the coordinating and preplaning that goes into this...amazing. Plus Pitch Perfect 3...who else is excited?

What I'm listening to:

Michael Buble christmas album. You can listening to it too...

Just found this song with Ed Sheeran and Andrea Bocelli doing Perfect together, so dang pretty.

What I'm wearing:

See the beginning of this post. I did buy a red dress for Christmas, so excited to wear it! It's sold out and I can't find it, darn. But will try and take pictures and show case next week, if I can.

What I'm doing this weekend:

Doing a lot of baking, see above and then I have to make probably 400+ more cookies because we went through the 600 from the other day...oops! Don't worry I didn't eat them, I gave them all away.

Hoping we can find time to get away to see some Christmas lights. Plus my brother will be in town for the weekend, so we're looking forward to spending time with him.

What I'm looking forward to next month:

Meeting up with some friends (Lana, Deena and Abbie) in Seattle. Woo hoo, so excited to hug them and get to spend almost 3 days with them exploring, eating and shopping!

What else is new:

Not much else is new. Planning stuff for next year and excited for everything we have going on. Calendar is starting to fill up, which I love!

Bonus Question: What is the best gift you've given a guy?

Hmmm...what is the best gift I have given Mr.? Well it's always something he doesn't want. But I really like the Bose system (this isn't the one I got him, but it is Alexa compatible, that's pretty cool) I got him, it's portable so it doesn't have to be plugged in.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for $200 cash here!

Now link up your favorite outfit of the week!

3 Fall Outfits

Happy Wednesday Foxy Friends! Hope you are all having a great week. I have a bit of a sore throat, but am hoping that it goes away by the weekend, too much fun to be had this weekend! Getting a two for one today. I'm linking up with Anne from Anne In Residence and her monthly "currently" where she gives you the topics to talk about. This time her cohost is Dana of Something Good, this month the prompts are stylingsavingsearchingpicking, and making. Which works out perfectly for what I'm about to talk about.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

Styling:

I've mentioned this a few times, but this month I am participating in the Common Threads Challenge, where we pick 5 things from our closet and then each day have to use one of those 5 things and pick our outfit around that.

Wondering what I picked? Wait no longer, here are the 5 things I picked.
Black and Whit Striped Skirt (Similar) / Burgundy Tee / Black Blazer / Skinny Jeans / Booties (Similar and 50% off!) /

So we're three days into this thing and these are the three outfits I've chosen so far. Sorry, you're only going to get a full outfit one or two of the days, as the other days, I am working and don't have time to take a full picture, and I don't have a mirror that I can take a picture with. The one that I have I would be shooting into the sun, so you would see a whole lot of bathroom and not much of me. haha.

Day 1:

Simple outfit for a day doing errands and cooking.

Skirt / Tee (color: green berry) / Shoes (Similar)

Day 2:

Grey Pants (similar) / Tee / Heels (Similar)

Day 3:

Dress (similar but long sleeve version)  / Cardigan (Similar) / Booties

Saving:

Hopefully money because I am remixing my closet up.

Searching:

For the perfect desk for our bedroom. It will also serve as a background to my Youtube videos. I'm thinking about getting this.

Picking:

Nothing at the moment. Pumpkins in a couple of weeks? Does that count?

Making:

I'm making a Wine Pull for a fundraiser I'm helping with on Saturday. Full details when I get my act together. Oh and if you don't know what a Wine Pull is, you label wine corks with a number, and then have a cute way to display, and people pay x amount of dollars to pull a wine cork and then they receive a wine bottle that has that number that you pulled. Many I have to get my act together...got to start this! At least I bought all of the stuff to do the project?

So what are you doing currently?

My New Obsession + Fitness Update

I think I have an obsession with this sweater. Seriously I wear it all the time. Perhaps I need it in more colors, so I'm not always wearing the same sweater? Loft, gotta hand it to you, it's the perfect length, weight, I love everything about it (sorry no longer available).

Fitness Update:

Another week gone...I'm beginning to think this diet might not be for me. In all honesty I just feel not satisfied with eating. Like I'm just eating to live and that's just no fun. But I am feeling pretty good, other then that. We'll see how I feel in a few more weeks. I think Mr. and I decided we're doing this until May 1st.

Half a pound lost. Mr. seems to think I'm getting more toned and my rib cage is slimmer, and I feel like my butt is really getting toned (which I'm sure makes Mr. happy, haha!) I think three weeks of something isn't enough time to really make a judgement. The first few weeks are probably when you're body is adjusting to whatever you're doing. Which is probably why a lot of people quite diets so early on into them. They aren't seeing the results. I wish I had taken measurements of everything, Oh well. I'll keep trudging alone.

Kid Pictures:

What's a post without some pictures of my kids?

Baby Fox showing off his hat he made in preschool. Love that smile.

Mini Fox with my Dad, they're doing "shhhhh, don't tell Mom I'm on a rock"

Picking a Dandelion

One of our neighbors commented on how she looks like a little doll, and I think I have to agree with them, especially with this outfit on.
