TBB Asks: March Edition

Hi Foxy Friends! It's the first Monday of the month which means that The Blended Blog is asking, and we're answering. This month is all about beauty, so naturally the questions are beauty related.

1. Eyelash Curler: Yes Or No? Yes, although I don't use it when I'm using heavy lashes, like these. I have stick straight eyelashes that go straight into my eyes.

2. Favorite Nail Shade?

Hands down OPI Lincoln Park After Dark'

The color in the picture is WAY more purple,  on the nails it looks almost black.

3.  Favorite Lipstick Shade?

So many choices, and not enough time.  But for a good neutral, I really like the color Bella from Lipsense.

I really like the Kylie Lip Kit red in color Mary Jo K.

Kylie Matte Lip Kit on Asian Skin in Mary Jo K

4. Blow Dry or Air Dry Your hair?

I blow dry in the winter, and air dry in the summer. I really dislike being cold, so I dry it as soon as possible.

5. Artificial Nails: Yes or No?

Nope, all real for me. I used to hate short nails and always had them long, but since kids, short, short, short. I did have one artificial nail when I got married, because my natural nail broke the day before we got our nails done for our wedding, oops!

6. Foundation: Yes or No?

Yes and no? I use a powder foundation for everyday wear to even out skin tone and then I use a foundation for when I have a long day or for special occasions. I haven't found a liquid foundation I really love yet.

7. Hair Up or Down?

Down for the most part, I like to pin back my "bangs", I rarely use a ponytail, I think I have a weird shaped head for wearing all up, even though I love up dos. These are some of my favorites.

8. Bar Soap or Body Wash?

Bar soap, Dove to be exact.

9. Bath or Shower?

Shower, every time I take a bath, I just think of all the things I could be doing, instead of relaxing. I did however buy my first bath bomb from Lush a couple of weekends ago. Mr. says,  you do realize you will probably never use that? I'm going to prove him wrong, darn it!

10. Favorite Body Lotion?

I use Lubriderm mostly, and when I am really dry, which is most of the winter months, I use Vanicream

11. Do You Wear Perfume?

No, allergic to most scents. Although the allergy shots may or may not be helping me out, haven't decided yet. I was at a friends house and she lit a bath and body works candle, and eventually I had to ask her to blow it out because it was making me feel sick. So I guess my answer would be a definite no.

12. Do You Shave Your Legs Everyday?

No. Full confession, I am a lucky one and the hair on my legs grows in super soft and sparce, so you can't tell when I have hairy legs. Truth be told in the winter I don't have to shave my legs, unless I have a special event where I feel like it, but it's totally not necessary.

13. Favorite Lip Balm?

Lypsyl, I know totally random lip balm that no one has heard of, but I love it and have it in my purse, work, vanity...

14. How Old Were You When You First Started Wearing Make Up?

Ummm...34? When I decided I wanted to learn how to wear make up? When I was in high school/college, my mom and I would get into fights about me not wanting to wear make up and her wanting me to. Truth be told, I did a little make up in college, but on the daily, not until recently.

This is me in 2008, I considered this full make up all done up. I really liked my short hair...

Friday Favorites #153

Happy Friday Foxy Friends! Today I have a dentist appointment later, so wish me luck, no cavities! Okay let's get to the Friday Goodness:

In case you missed it on the blog this week:

Monday: Share the Love Gift Exchange Reveal
Wednesday: A Twist On The Jean Jacket
Thursday: Sentence A Day
Thursday Bonus: Costco and Sprouts Weekly Grocery Haul

Wonder how much I spend on groceries and what we eat in a week? Check out that last post.

Also last week I shared some bathing suit options, they are STILL buy one get one 50% off! Go get some suits before you have to pay full price...gasp! Includes the whole family, speaking of which, I should get the kids some...

Mr. is the best Dad, he loves playing with the kids, I just love watching them play together and hearing all of the giggles.

Serious game of dual thumb war.

Then he plays pony with Mini Fox, how sweet is this? I want to remember this forever. (Mr. did give me permission to post this). What do you do when you don't use all the scarves that you have? Use them for a saddle of course.

I tried to get Hamilton Tickets...no such luck...I totally forgot and got in line at 11:41...do you see? I'm 64745 in line waiting to get tickets. I wasn't hopeful but I kept it open just in case. Buying tickets went up at 9am, I had a friend get on at exactly 9am and was 20K in line...

1.5 hours later I've moved up 2061 spots...

Now almost 4 hours later...I'm still in the 60K range. Suffice to say 2 hours later it said they were out of tickets...boo! I guess a couple of hours later 2500 tickets showed up on Stub Hub....

I really wanted to try and get tickets for my friend...maybe they'll extend it and have more shows, that would be cool!

If you've been following for a while, the first Monday of the month The Blended Blog does a #TBBAsks, which we ask questions and you answer, easy right? Well the first Monday of the month is in 3 days, so here are the questions! Super easy post for you for a Monday.

Here are the other topics for the rest of March, in case you want to plan ahead. Beauty topics are my favorite! Can't wait to see all of your beauty tips!

In other news...yep this deserves it's own statement. I've decided to switch my vanpools to an earlier one. For those that don't know, I carpool (in a van...hence vanpool) with 5 other people, we switch off driving to work, so driving the 100 miles round trip is a little bit better. But I've decided to switch to a van that leaves at 3:55am....yes you read that right...I'm going to be waking up at 3am, to get to work...at that point do I even go to bed, haha! Just kidding. But this will totally be me.

I decided it was going to be better for my family. Now that the kids are starting to get more involved with sports, and of course the practices start at 5pm, which I don't usually get home until 5:15 or so...it makes it hard to get them there...so by taking this earlier van I'll be home around 3:45. I'll let you know how it goes.

And a bonus...

Mr. and I went to a Gala for Baby Fox's school, and had so much fun! It was Great Gatsby themed and I got to wear my mom's dress, it's probably 50ish years old and still going strong!

Mr. cleans up nice doesn't he?

And then this was just fun.

Yay for Friday, I'm attempting to make fish tacos for dinner, I'll let you know how it goes. Then Saturday we're going to Medieval Times, super excited for that, I've never been before. Seriously how it is already March?! Happy Weekending!

Relate: Grocery Haul #1

What we still need to get: Fish and tortillas for dinner on Friday night.

What we ate this week:

We are super boring, like SUPER boring, we can eat the same thing multiple days in a row...that being said.

Sunday-Wednesday: Beef Stew (it lasted way longer then we thought it would, we are both trying to cut back on the amount of food we eat for dinner, so it makes food last way longer).

Thursday: Not sure what were going to eat tonight, but I think I'm going to do a protein shake and Mr. will probably make eggs.

Friday: Fish Tacos

Saturday: Going to Medieval Times, so eating at the show

Sentence A Day: February Edition

1 -  Target run with the kids to get Swedish Heart Candy...cause that's totally reasonable reason to go to Target right?

2 - Playdate with some neighbors, we live near each other, yet never have time to see each other...funny how that works.

3 - MIL in town, yay!

4 - Always fun to get together with family for Superbowl, plus found out my cousin is pregnant with another girl!

5 - Video editing evening...errr....kids have gymnastics night.

6 - Trying to set up this V-day photo shoot...I hope this works out!

7 - I finally found my weighted gloves for class tonight, woo hoo!

8 - Much needed MNO to finish off the night.

9 - We went night snow tubing, which is basically like the Luge...right?

10 - Hiking and hanging with friends is always fun.

11 - Got so much done after we got home from the mountains, I love super productive days.

12 - Gymanstics/Trampoline classes means Mama gets to her video of the week.

13 - Sick, sick, sick...always sick, stupid sinuses

14 - Happy Valentine's Day, just another day with work, Ash Wednesday service and baseball practice.

15 - Baby Fox's school performance, he is so darn cute!

16 - Friday night dinner with friends back on!

17 - Dinner with Aunt and Uncle, always a good time.

18 - Met up with a new blogging friend, love meeting bloggers in real life.

19 - Unexpected friend and two of her kids come to visit while traffic dies down that's always fun!

20 -  Ugh, my turn to drive the van, my least favorite day of the week.

21 - Finally back to working out after being sick for what felt like forever!

22 - The appointment is finally here, EKG and Echo done for Baby Fox and all came back good, phew!

23 - Dinner at our friends house is always a good day.

24 - Full day today, Mr. and I have to divide and conquer, but we ended the evening together for a school gala.

25 - Lazy day of catching up = good day (although our Christmas tree is still up, in my defense it's in a room I don't spend a ton of time in and it's an out of sight out of mind type of thing happening)

26 - So happy that the gym has a program where Baby Fox can still go to trampoline class and we won't have to pay for the classes that he can't go to because of his baseball games.

27 - Worked out because I thought we were going to get onion rings and Pastrami for dinner, but we didn't...so sad.

28 - Good workout today, feeling sore which is always a good feeling.

New Twist On An Old Favorite: Jean Jacket

Hi Foxy Friends! Another Wednesday and another fashion post for you all. Today I'm sharing one of the things I got in my Seattle haul when I was up there.

Related: Seattle Vlog

First can we talk about how comfortable this jacket is? I mean it's not only stylish, but it is so soft and comfortable and WARM! I'm always, always cold, and when I grab this jacket, I'm never cold, you know for the 60°F (15°C) weather we are currently having.

Jeans /  Shirt / Boots (Similar)

The sleeves on this jacket are so warm and soft, if it was socially acceptable I would wear this all day everyday. So glad that Abbie made me try it on and buy it. Thanks Abbie for knowing what I wanted before I did!

Thanks for continuing to make this link up a success, now add some fashion posts and meet some new people!
