Summer to Fall Transition Outfit

Hi Foxy Friends! What? 3 days in a row? Who am I? Today The Blended Blog is back at it with our regularily scheduled themed Wednesday posts. You don't have to follow the prompts, but if you're running out of ideas for outfits, I find that having a promt helps get my creative juices flowing. I got this dress, because I needed to get to free shipping. I don't like to pay for shipping, so if I can add a few more items to get free shipping, I am all in. I know girl math.

Anyway, I've been wearing this dress non stop since I got it a few weeks ago. For you short girls, this maxi is for you! I'm 5'3", and this maxi is pretty much perfection. I think if you were up to 5'5" it would be good, anything above that, sorry ladies this isn't for you. But if you are looking for a maxi that you don't have to alter or wear incredibly high heels, this dress is for you! You can't see but I'm wearing flat sandals.

A great way to transition maxi dress for Fall a simple jean jacket. You better believe I'll be adding this jacket come Fall. Currently the temp for Saturday is suppose to be 91°F...yikes!

Recent Prime Purchases: September

Last month I saw Andrea post her favorite Prime Purchases, and she was linking up to Tayna who hosts the link up. I mean how fun is that? We all purchases stuff from Amazon, might as well share the wealth of knowledge of the goodies! Okay let's get started!

This one I mentioned here.  I have to admit I love using them. My family makes fun of me to no end but I like not having to feel a metal fork or spoon on my teeth when eating. I don't use it for everything. But when I can use them I totally do! Get the forks here and the spoons here. For those that are wondering, before I bought them I made sure that we had room for them in our drawers. Which I realized we had a whole kitchen drawer we weren't using, so it's in there now, the drawer has a purpose now!

I also mentioned that we bought these. Surprisingly they work pretty well. The curls are pretty crazy when you first take them out, but once they have a chance to relax the curls are really pretty.

I have an older car so I needed to buy something to hold up my phone while driving. I know it's taken me forever to get something, but I finally got something and I won't ever go back. Instead of going on your vent, it goes in your CD player...yep gotta have one of those for this to work. We liked it so much that Mr. got one for both of his cars (yes he has two cars) too.

Our day care situation is changing, so Mr. is going to have to start taking the kids to school in the morning. Up until now (yep 7 years) we've only had one set of car seats, and those are in my car. Don't worry we've bought 2 seats for everyone else and their mom to take the kids, we just didn't need another set for us. Fun fact: We've bought 10 car seats, only 4 of those were for us to use. Anyway, Mr. bought these for his car, and for $25 you get two of them, they are super protective of your car, and has something at the head to attach to the headrest so it doesn't fall down.

Next on the list was Crazy Rich Asians. Some friends and I were going to go see the movie, so I wanted to try and read the book. Yep I still read paper books, although I might get the Paper White for Christmas. Really good book and easy read, plus the movie was good too!

That's all for now. What have you been buying that I NEED to get?

TBB Asks September

Hi Foxy Friends! Happy Monday and happy Labor Day, I know many of us are off enjoying family's right now, but what's the first Monday of the month without a little #TBBASKS? This month is all about Cozy and getting ready for Fall.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

1. Slippers:  Yes or No? Yes, during the Winter months. And I prefer slippers that are more like thongs, because I suffer from that girl thing where I have a comfort zone of  2 degrees. Those last ones, I like because the back of your foot is free so they are easy to slip off.

2. What is your favorite blanket? The really soft ones from Costco are pretty awesome, and they are cheap.

3. Thin or thick pillow?  I think I am a middle of the road kind of girl. Currently I have feather synthetic pillow from Target. I have no idea which one..I went around squeezing them and then picked out the one that had the best squeeze.

4. Favorite warm beverage? I'm not one for warm beverages...but if I have to choose...I guess I'll go with...hot apple cider? Truth be told I've only had this maybe 2-3 times in my life.

5. Robe: Yes Or No? No, I feel like the sleeve length always gets in my way. Anyone have an awesome robe they like? I typically will wear this if I am cold in the house and already have my Pj's on.

6. Favorite comfort snack food(s)? I really like popcorn, like a LOT. Is that considered comfort food? Not sure, but it is in my book.

7. Movies or TV Series Binge? Depends, but lately we've been finding netflix shows to watch. We won't/haven't ever really binged watched movies. Once when we first got married we watched all three Tremors, but haven't done that since. So I guess we're TV series bingers.

8. Actual PJ's or Leggings? PJ's all the way. These are my favorite brand.

9.  Do you cozy up on the couch or chair? Couch...we have a super big couch, so there is plenty of space there.

10. Hoodie, t-shirt or sweater? Hmmm...not sure how to take this question...I guess I really like that sweater I pointed out in question 5 to get cozy with (staying with the theme), so let's go with sweater.

Now head on over to The Blended Blog and link up your answers, or comment down below and let us know what you prefer!

Friday Favorite #176: Birthday Edition

Hello Foxy Friends! Happy Friday! Yay, and it's a long weekend, love long weekends! So let's get to my favorites.

Yesterday was my birthday! I had a great day, I left work early, went to the Container Store (wow that makes me sound old that I like going to the Container Store), went to the gym and then dinner with my family. It was a great day, considering I had to work! I think everyone should get their birthday off as a floating holiday at work.

Don't be jealous, Mini Fox made me my birthday crown. You can't see it, but it has jewels all over it.

How awesome is this cake? I'm so spoiled, lemon fox cake for the win!

Thank you to all of you who sent birthday messages, it was so sweet! Here to an even better year. Next year the big 4-0. What should I do? What did you do or plan to do for your 40th?

I got a sursprise gift in the mail from my friend Andrea...so sweet of her to surprise me with all of my favorite things. She knows me well! And the card she sent was personalized! Say what?! I don't even know how she did it, but it was amazing, and so thoughtful. I'm so lucky to have such good friends.

Baby Fox started school on Monday. He's a big second grader.

In case you were wondering, I used chalk marker on the sign and no it won't come off, and yes I bought a bunch when I was at Target, so I don't have to stress again for 3 years trying to find another first day of school sign, haha!

I knew he wouldn't let me take a selfie when we got to school, so I took one while walking.

That little girl sitting next to him was in his class last year. In case you were wondering...you can't tell from this picture, but there are 20 boys and 8 girls...good luck to his teachers!

Mom tribe, we made it through summer. All of our boys are in the same class this year.

Mini Fox starts school next week, so you'll be seeing those next Friday.

Other random things happening...

This girl got her second hair cut, ever.

We met up for dinner at the park with some friends, they transferred into our school this year, so happy to have them there. I also went to elementary school with the guy waving, he was one of my brothers best friends.

This kid got his hair cut...man this barber place had 12 chairs and constant clients...probably because of the $9 price tag.

We went to concert in the park.

Hanging out with Mini Fox's bestie. Funny enough they are 3 weeks apart, and he started kinder this year, while Mini Fox has to wait another year. Fingers crossed he repeats so they can be in the same class...kidding, sort of.

Bought soccer shoes for everyone...she's the only one that wanted to wear them home.

Got one last late night ice cream fun in before school started.

This girl started soccer, her very first practice. Up until now, it was only show up 20 minutes before game to practice. We're big time now.

Team huddle!

Oh my gosh, I watch Brooklyn and Bailey (Their mom is Cute Girls Hairstyles which I get a lot of my hair tutorials from) and is it okay to say you're jealous of their dorm room? How cute did they decorate? Such a good idea to use contact paper to change the look of the walls, doesn't harm the wall and you get a completely different look. Going to remember that one!

I just saw a 9 minute sneak peek of this show, and I can't wait to watch it! Mr. and I are totally into Sci-Fi, so this is right up our alley! Who's going to watch this with me? September 24th! Okay, okay, September 25, Hulu and us have a date!

That's all I have for today. This weekend I'm in partying prepping mode. I have done NOTHING! Lots of DIY to do, I might not sleep, but that's okay, I got this! Plus Mini Fox's bestie and his brother and spending the night while their parents are away for an anniversary get away, all of the kids are counting down the days.

Perfect Fall Work Outfit

Hi Foxy Friends! I know I've been a little MIA lately, just enjoying the family, staying out late, putting the kids to bed way later than normal, hanging with friends and enjoying one of the best summers ever! Taking pictures in the summer is hard for me...it's super sunny, I have a sunny backyard, and it's hard to sneak in pictures. When the sun doesn't go down till late, I'm usually not in the mood to take pictures. But this weekend it was actually cloudy, so threw on some clothes and took a picture for you.

*Some of the links are affiliate links and I will  either receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you click on it or if you make a purchase from one of these links, I may also receive a commission on the sale of the product. Click here for my disclosure page.

Anyway, this is the perfect Fall work outfit as sometimes it's really cold in the morning and evenings and warmer in the afternoon, so you can take the blazer on and off as needed.

Pants (similar here and here) / Camisole / Blazer (similar) / Heel

Andrea, which I can't find the exact post, but she's wearing the cami in this post...said they were comfy and versitle, so I jumped right on it. Right now they are buy one get one 50% off, so jump on it, it's a good deal! She is so right, I have it in three colors, this light pink one, a white one and a black and white polka dot one (I can't say no to polka dots). I actually wore this skirt (it has elastic in the waist, with a regular front, so you get the comfort in the back and style in the front) with it for church on Sunday.

In case you are wondering, and I know you are...I'm wearing this strapless bra. Stays up all day and I'm not constantly tugging on it, so I guess that's a win.
