The Girl Next Door

This is the Kimono I got, because Katie said so, and it was back in stock. It's the one that Mr. said he wasn't sure of, but said that it looks good from the front, but wasn't sure about it from the back, and Baby Fox said that it wasn't his favorite. What do they know? I like it and that's all that matters.

Other Randoms:

If you follow me on IG you might have seen this happening.

That's the neighbor's granddaughter, she likes to talk to us, and I have no idea how Baby Fox knew she was out there...we were in my bedroom and he just walks over to the window and lifts up the shades and there she is. Like a 6th sense thing?

Anyway, they pretty much love talking to each other and they stood her for a good 5 minutes.

The only problem? Baby Fox kept asking where her older sister was, you know the 5 year old. Uh oh, so I sense competition, could mean trouble. It's already starting I thought I had at least 10 more years... Every time Baby Fox walked away from the window she would yell out, Baby Fox?! Where are you?!

It was super cute though, and I'm glad that we get to watch their grandkids grow up. I'll have these to look back on when she asks Baby Fox to Prom.

Mr. Suggests

Last night I was telling Mr. I don't have a blog post for tomorrow, what should I write about? He says, tell them how awesome a husband you have. So here it is, reasons why Mr. is awesome.

  • I'll start with my birthday (which is in 11 days, in case you wanted to know), he decorates for my birthday.
okay he had some help here, but he did buy everything

  • Makes me homemade chocolate covered strawberries (my food allergies prevent me from eating store boughts ones) and then documents it, because he knows I like documenting everything.

  • He indulges me in my costume ideas - I made these bear costumes, and he wore it with excitment and actually went to JC Penny to get professional photos done. Now that's love.

  • Takes yearly family photos, even though he dislikes taking pictures...actually I should just say lets me take picture of him whenever I want, cause he knows how much I love picture taking, and when we go to weddings, always secures an isle seat so I can get good pictures. And he lets me dress him however I want...this year we're taking pictures at the beach...So excited, I have no idea what we're going to wear!

  • He loves our kids something fierce. He says he's not a big sucker for them but if you ask Baby Fox who the biggest sucker is Mommy or Daddy 100% of the time he says Daddy. He's a big softie for the kids, they adore him and I couldn't ask for a better Daddy for our children. Okay sappy part over. Here are some silly pictures.

Play "bump" where they literally race around the house and bump into each other

Showing us their mean guy look

Letting Baby Fox show him how to walk under water

Water balloon "fight"

They brought a gun to a sword fight and they are playing "Save Mini Fox" - this is where Daddy is the bad guy keeping Mini Fox captive and Baby Fox is saving her.

Being silly

Love these guys...and turns out Mr. doesn't have too many silly faces, they all sort of look the same, hehe
So there you go Mr. - 5 reasons you are an awesome husband. Oh did I mention he does the dishes almost every night too? And ALWAYS takes out the trash because it's the job I hate the absolute most...I would rather do anything than take out the trash. Oh and he takes all of my outfit pictures for me and likes doing it :)

Sick, sick, sick

Friday was a no work day for me, so I took the kids to an outdoor mall, and asked my dad if he wanted to go with, he of course jumped at the chance. Baby Fox wanted to ride the carousal. Mini Fox loved it, or at least was interested in everything that was going on...

When we got home Baby Fox wanted to play hide and seek, I think this was a pretty good spot.

Mini Fox practiced her guitar skills

After Mr. got home from work, I worked on this...craft project for Mini Fox's birthday party!

Crafting while the boys swim and the baby sleeps, perfect evening in my book!

Saturday I woke up totally sick, well I was sort of sick on Friday but was able to fight through it, but Saturday my voice went to "sexy sick voice" (Friends reference anyone?) and had to skip out on my cousin's baby shower, I was so sad and disappointed to miss it. But my Mom and Sister came and got my gift, so at least she still got my gift...sad face. Oh and Mini Fox is sick too, stuffy nose, poor thing can't breathe, and HATES the snot sucker with a passion.

I got some good snuggle time in

Mini Fox loves herself some eggs...

Love those two little teeth there at the bottom, so cute! Although we need the other teeth to come in because we've been in teething hell for a couple of weeks now!
Exploring her brother's stool. Baby Fox leaves his stool in here because he likes to stand on it and play with her while we change her diaper. We were taking it back everyday, but Baby Fox kept dragging it back in there, so it's now a permanent structure in her room.

Yep it was a jammy day for her too

Mr. and Baby Fox's selfie, love it!

Not many pictures taken Saturday, but we did have some good laundry basket races.

Although she wore jammies all day, we did feel she needed new jammies. She heard them playing in the hallway and wanted in on the action, so we're mid jammy change.

Yes I am still wearing the same thing I was earlier...no I didn't get out of my pj's

Love her in polka dots, it says "Little Sister"

Sunday I was feeling much better.

The boys watching some TV before heading out to the park.

I went and did some retail therapy with these gals. We are going to do some damage when these girls get older...I'm worried!

Someone actually fell asleep in the stroller, miracle of all miracles.

This lady bought a mini iPad, FYI, they are $200 at Target right now.

Waiting for her Mommy to try on some clothes...she was not impressed with my silly faces.

When we got home, the boys went swimming.

And she wanted to go swimming.

Like stood here for a good 5 minutes pounding the door. Poor thing, if only she wasn't sick...

And I made pot roast for dinner, yum! You should make it, super easy! Although we change the recipe at bit and add WAY more onions...like 3-4 times as much...cause just one onion doesn't cut it for us. I also add a bit more apple cider vinegar.

food was my thought, not presentation, so forgive the heap of food on my plate, it was delicious and will be eaten again tonight!
Besides being sick, I had a good weekend, got a new pair of jeans and sweater, so that made me insanely happy. Come on cold weather! FYI: It was 92° yesterday...doesn't look like it's coming any time soon.

The next two weekends we have NOTHING planned, shocking I know, I can't wait!

When Is a Good Time for Baby #2?

Another Thursday, another topic for the One Year and Beyond Series, today's topic? Deciding when the time is right for baby #2 (and/or how to handle these questions). Hmmm...obviously we had baby #2 and thought the time was right, but looking back, here is what I thought I knew and now looking back here is what I know now.

What I thought I knew/wanted: I want my kids to be no more than two years apart.

What I know now:  I think whatever age difference your kids are there are pros and cons. I have a friend who had her kids 16 months apart, she loves the age difference now, but admits that it was ROUGH having her kids so close in age for the first year, now it's a lot better and they play together, etc, but she said it was rough, especially because her second one was needy as all get out.

I thought I wanted ours 2 years apart, but we tried and it just didn't happen for us and it ended up that they are 2.75 years apart and now looking back, it's amazing. Baby Fox was old enough to really understand what was going on, and is actually really helpful. He understands when I tell him to stand next to the car and wait for me, instead of running out into the parking lot. He understands when I have to feed sister and can't attend to his every needs. He can play by himself while I tend to Mini Fox's needs. I think any younger it would have obviously been doable, but this age gap is perfect for us.

What I thought I knew/wanted: That people didn't mind if you asked them when they were having a second if you were close friends.

What I know now: So not true! While we didn't have the same struggle as some people have, it felt like it at the time. With Baby Fox I got pregnant on the first try, so in my head it was going to happen right away. But it didn't and time passed and both of my good friends got pregnant and were due two weeks apart and I felt left out. They had all of their pregnancy woes to talk about and I felt left out and alone. Every month that passed by and we weren't pregnant I cried. Why did I cry? We had a perfectly healthy, wonderful 1.5 year old. Every time someone asked me when we were going to have a second it was like someone punching me in the gut. I wanted to scream and say, we are trying and it's just not happening for us, why don't you mind your own business. Meanwhile, 2 more close friends announced their pregnancies. So now I know, just don't ask any more. I don't know what they are going through, I don't know anything about them, even if it's a good friend. If they mention it, I'll talk with them, but in general I don't mention it.

What did I eventually start saying when people asked? Most of the time I would just laugh it off and say it's not for lack of trying, wink wink. But as the months wore on, my answers turned curt and I answered in a way where they knew not to ask again. I know, so dramatic, but it's how I felt at the time. And how you feel is how you feel, right?

So what are your thoughts on the subject?

How far apart are you kids?

Hopefully you can relate to all of these Baby #2 talks this week!  Check out the other mama's blogs for even more!  And be sure to link up with us below if you also have a post on this.

Randoms From Life

I did it, I wore an all white outfit out on the town. I have a confession...that other time I wore all white? I actually just put the outfit on and didn't actually wear it out...but this time, I figured you know what? I'm going out to a bar in Laguna Beach, I think if any occasion called for all white, it would be going to a bar on the beach. I even rocked my hookerish shoes, and my newly bought leopard belt, add some pink lipstick and I'm all set to go.

I tried to get more pictures, but my ride got there to pick me up, and Baby Fox wanted to pose with me..,but only had on super hero underwear and a t-shirt on, so I thought I would respect his privacy...but they were super cute photos.

So onto some random photos in my life:

  • We are so behind on our DVR shows that we're watching shows that are still advertising for the Olympics...

  • I worked on these last night for Mini Fox's party...I think they turned out super cute!

My model...best picture I could get...

I am going to be a hot gluing maniac for the next few weeks...I'm thinking I'm going to make a bunch of these, hang them on some branches and then let people take them as their party gifts...what should I do for the boys that are coming? Hmmm....???Any suggestions welcome...Mr. says who cares, boys don't need anything...

  • Mr. reading the second book in the Divergent Series...I left him here last night to go out with some friends...he's almost done with the book.  Yes he just started the series on Sunday...and it's Wednesday.

  • Some fabric I just got to finish up Mini Fox's room...probably won't be able to get to this project until after her birthday party...but hey better late than never right?

  • I can't help but show you something that is so hard to catch on camera...but I did it...you should be proud.
She was so happy she was drinking water from a big girl cup

Look at that, two smiles...caught on camera, this made her insanely happy, I'll take it burry and all.

And then she was really upset when it was time to go upstairs for bed...she was soaked

And that's all I have for you today...

What makes you insanely happy?

Baby Giggles, you can't help but be insanely happy when babies giggle and laugh that deep from the belly kind.
