Week 3 of Winter Challenge Outfits

Back for week 3 of the Style Me Challenge: Winter Edition.  Here are my Spring Style ChallengeSummer Style Challenge and the Fall Style Challenge if you want to see what else I've done. Here is week 1 and week 2.

Like last week I was shopping my closet. I actually found an outfit that I never would have put together if I hadn't been shopping my closet, so thank you Alison for that!

So here are this weeks outfits:

Day 10

We were supposed to use a Fair Isle sweater with this one, but I don't have one, so I made do with this striped version. Plus it's been sort of hot here lately, so I figured a light weight cardigan was good enough.

Day 11

I've worn this combo so many times, but never thought to add a plaid scarf, I think it looks fantastic and will definitely be a go to when it starts to get a little colder around here. Rumor has it the high next week is 56° brrrr.... (cue eye roll from half of the world)

Day 12

My statement necklace isn't much of a statement necklace, but I like that is big but subtle, did that make sense?

P.S. those heels hurt! They are my we're doing to a long sit down dinner heels, if you know what I mean.

Day 13 - Dressy Outfit #2

Dressy Outfit number two, called for a fancy sweater, like I said last week, there is some sparkle to this shirt, you just can't see it. I added the belt and the necklace, since my shirt was "plain". I really like it.

What happens when your spouse goes on a business trip and you have a remote and a camera and all the time in the world.

Too bad the ornament was cut out, darn!

Day 14

I haven't gotten nearly as much use out of this red plaid scarf as I should! I seriously need to wear it more...or the weather needs to get a bit colder so I don't look like a weirdo wearing a scarf.

Day 15

I just changed out the pants and the shoes on this one and completely changes the outfit so much. I think I like this look a little better then Day 11 though. What do you think?

Day 16

One of my favorite outfits of the week. Maybe because I really like this sweater, it's the softest thing EVER! Let's just pretend those are jeans down there, okay? They were dirty when I was taking pictures, darn.

Now go check out some other hot ladies to see their take on the same outfits!

WIWW - Post Pregnancy

So I haven't taken an outfit post in a long, long time. I did take one around Christmas, but then never put it in a post, that outfit was this:

I love that skirt I'm wearing, it's from Nordstroms, sorry it's no longer available online, boo! The part I love most about it? The pockets. The sweater is from Macy's and of course it is not available online either. The jewelry is from Ann Taylor loft from 4 years ago. It's the first time I've ever worn the bracelet.

So here is another outfit with that same skirt:

I paired it with a shirt I got from White House Black Market forever ago. When I say forever, I mean, probably before Colton was born and I have NEVER worn it. I took the tags off to wear it to the baptism I was going to.

Shirt - White House Black Market, Skirt - Nordstroms, Belt - Francesca's Collection, Shoes - Payless, Leggings - Nordstroms, Necklace -  Iridesse, it's gone out of business, but was associated with Tiffany's, Bracelets - Forever 21

Random Wednesday

I wore this last week to work...it's the most comfy sweater dress ever. I got it from, where else, Ann Taylor Loft, man I love that place! So I have a confession, I have the biggest calves EVER. It's in the genes, I mean guys at the gym come up to me and ask me what I did to get my calves, I say, they just are, while I glance at their chicken legs. I tell them, I'd be happy to switch with them. All this to tell you it's HARD for me to find boots that go up over my calves. Most boots come with a 14" circumference. These babies...are 16" of amazing boots! So if you have larger calves get these, they fit over skinny jeans and are just plain awesome! And they're an affordable price too! I think I wore them three days in a row when I first got them.

Necklace - Mr. got me for Christmas a couple years ago from Forever 21, yep he went into F21 and got me something, what a guy!

And of course it wouldn't be a photo shoot without Baby Fox photo bombing it!

And now onto some Random Things:

Two of my favorite bloggers have decided this week to take a break from blogging and focus more on themselves. Good for them, but am sad that they are going to be leaving for a while. I hope that they figure it all out and come back, eventually. Just in case, I won't be deleting them from my news feed.

Having no microwave makes me have to cook more meals, boo. Left overs just aren't the same when it takes just as long to heat it back up as it did to make it. Last week I actually made the same meal two days in a row from scratch because there was no way to heat up the pork chops I had already defrosted before the microwave broke. Our new microwave still hasn't shipped yet...I'm getting impatient.

My husband makes me laugh so hard, I love that after almost 10 years being together he can still make me laugh like no other. He's a funny guy.

Remember Baby Fox's first time out? Well since then he's shut off the light a couple of times, and each time we say "remember what happened when you turn off the lights?" He looks at us and says yea, and walks over to the corner to put himself in time out. We then say, no no, you don't have a time out right now, just don't do it again. And that usually stops him from turning off the light, until the next night at least.

I got a paper cut at work yesterday, right on my finger joint, does that qualify for Workman's comp? I think it should, it hurts! Why is it that the smallest of paper cuts hurts so much?!

Hope you guys are having a great Wednesday. Only 2 more days left of work!

Finally a Sweater!

It's finally cold enough to wear a sweater without looking like a total nut job! Yay for cooler weather! Hope it stays this time. I have to admit this is my first time pairing a skirt with a sweater and I think I'm liking it for this slightly cooler weather. Gives the perfect balence, not too hot, not to cool. You know because use girls (according to Mr.) has a 2° difference comfort zone.

I love the back of this sweater, it's a zipper, although you can't really tell from this picture.

I would also like to a moment of silence for my shoes...yes, that's right, they've died and gone to shoe heaven, unless I decided to stop being lazy and take it to a shoe repair shop. The stopper on the heel fell off and is now showing metal...yikes, not good for our travertine floors!
