Style Blogger Spring Challenge - Outfits 17 thru 21

Last recap with the ladies, recapping our outfits for this past week. Click here for the previous outfits.  And the winner to last weeks giveaway is Kim P., congrats Kim, what are you going to spend your $100 on? Hopefully something for just you! You deserve it! Now onto this weeks outfits.

Day 17

I love this dress especially when you add it with my go to closet piece, my jean jacket obsession! I love the pop of pink, like some of you have been saying/noticing, I have a lot of pink in my closet.

Day 18

I think this was my least favorite outfit in the whole challenge. I think it's not the outfit pieces, just MY pieces. Some of the ladies styled them so great. May it was the fact that I tucked in my shirt? Perhaps next time I'll leave it untucked and I'll like it better. But I do like the scarf and the sweater together.

Day 19

I love the simplicity of this outfit. Black tank, jeans, wedges and some statement earrings. This is definitely going to be a repeat throughout the next few months. Maybe some MNO during the summer months.

I'm fierce...grrr....

My little photo bombers, I love them so much.

Mini Fox has some seriously cute clothes. I can't wait for her to stand still enough so I can do some outfit posts of her.

Day 20

All white outfit with a chambray, yes please! Why I hadn't thought of this before I don't know. I do know that I will be getting a longer chambray for when I need to tie it up like this, thanks Casey for the tip!

Day 21

This outfit is almost a copy of outfit 16, but without the cardigan and I added a statement necklace, I love how it just totally changes the look of the outfit. Same basic pieces with different accessories.

Since this is the last post for the Spring Challenge, The Challenge Ladies all decided that we would post our favorite outfits of the 21 outfits. Here are my top 3.

I love both of these outfits, black and pink, I'm not sure why I hadn't paired this together yet...

This is an outfit I NEVER would have put together. Actually I don't think I would have bought this floral skirt without Alison's list. I am so glad she did, because this is definitely going to be a repeat outfit.

My last favorite is these white jeans with the black tank and the floral scarf. Perfection.

Thank you Alison for telling me what to wear for the Spring. I'm trying to give myself a no clothes shopping until the Nordstrom Anniversary sale that usually happens in July...I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

Did you participate in the challenge? What was your favorite outfit?

Now go check out how the other ladies styled their outfits!

A bonus for you Carrie, Lana, Deena and Leslie - haha!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Favorite Party I've Hosted

Linking up with Andrea today for Tuesday Show and Tell, todays show and tell is My Favorite Party That I've Hosted. I absolutely LOVE throwing parties. I love choosing the theme, then finding supplies, crafting everything, goodie bags, and the list goes on. If you're new here, Baby Fox was born on Christmas, yep on the actual day. After his First Birthday we decided that we would throw a half birthday, that way it's in the summer and we can take advantage of our pool. Heck that's the reason we bought a house with a pool right? But I think my favorite party to decorate for was his 2.5 construction themed birthday party. I've actually already blogged about it, but here is a quick recap:

I used my Cricut to make all of the signs. If you don't have one, you HAVE to get one, it's the best! I know they have newer models that can do more, but for now, the one I have is perfect!

I love telling people what they're eating with cute signs. I think it helps to fill out a table and make it look more complete.

Plus doing something fun with the plasticware is a must too.

Here's the close up, and random fact: This is my most pinned thing on Pinterest.

The goodie bags that everyone left with. Such a nice touch is to create these labels then buy those plastic bags from Michael's and put them all together, it looks like you bought them, but in reality, they're super simple and it packs a huge punch.

Bought some caution tape from Home Depot.

Drinks outside.

Birthday Zone tape bought from Amazon

I bought the stakes from Home Depot, super cheap, and just added some signs to them.

I decided since it was a half birthday I would make half of a birthday cake...

Everyone having fun and swimming. I really do love our backyard!

Since this is a party post, I did a whole post on 5 steps to throwing an awesome party. Click the picture below.

Weekend Update and a Missing Vlog

Oh man! I actually took video of our weekend, and had half of it ready to go, and then my program crashed...and I lost it...:( Shame on me for not learning after making my Hiking video...The same thing happened during that video. I really need to learn to save my project before I even start...will start doing that, I will, I really will. Anyway, instead of giving you a video of my weekend, I'll have to give you the few sparse photos I took, since I was taking video's all weekend. Hopefully I'll have the video done for Thursday.

Guess what Mr. wanted to watch all weekend? He didn't even put his stuff down from work before turning it on..mostly because his team was up next.

Friday we went swimming, it was in the 90's and I actually got in the pool, miracle of all miracles.

Bedtime antics, trying to get those last few moments of energy out before the kids go to bed.

We haven't taken one of these in a while...and by while I mean, 2 hours. I love me a good selfie...or groupie? I've pretty much perfected it with my camera.

Saturday was my usual 6am hike, love this hike and it's not getting any easier...why is that?

I got home, showered, got ready and everyone fed and then we were out the door to go to Baby Fox's show performance at the gym.

Waiting for the show to begin.

She got tired of sitting on our laps and played with the Ergo for a while. It's the little things.

This turned out super blurry, but there Baby Fox is, in his blue shorts and shirt, it was supposed to be black, but ya know who makes all back shirts for little boys, no one that's who. They all have dinosaurs or Mickey Mouse, or Darth Vader on it. He did great, and we're so proud of him! They said there would be another small one in August and another big one in November, can't wait to see those too. I just loved watching him (and you will too as soon as I remember to save my stupid file while editing!)

After nap time, Baby Fox wanted to go to my parents house to spend the night, so I dropped him off and Mini Fox and I went shopping. She told me she was cold so I wrapped her up, it was 81° outside...not cold, silly girl.

In case you wanted to know, this is Old Navy, I was returning some stuff, and they had a buy 2 get 1 free in the clearance section. So I got Baby Fox some shirts and I got a dress.

It's still so weird for us, walking past his room and having it empty. But he had a blast...ice cream and brownies and story...what could be better?

I was missing Baby Fox, so I snuck into peak in on Mini Fox...she's so cute when she sleeps. #creeperstatus

Because Vanessa said it was so good and it was draft weekend, we watched Draft Day, holy cow, talk about suspensful. And this is why I don't watch sports...it's too nail biting, make me crazy I don't know the outcome. #IHAVEOCD

Sunday my parents joined us at church and to drop off Baby Fox. See the orange mustache? Baby Fox comes running up to me and says, Mommy guess what?! I had some of Ampa's orange crush (it's really one of those sugar free powdered drinks you put in water)! I sort of laughed and said, you don't say...lol! He had no idea his whole mouth and lips were orange.

Mini Fox got Baby Fox's left over donut, you know the part that had no icing...she loved it anyway.

Mini Fox helping Baby Fox carrying his over night backpack. She thought she was hot stuff walking around, everyone else thought she was the most adorable thing walking around. She was getting a lot of oooooh's, and aaawwwww's.

I tried to get them to stand still for a picture, this is the best I got.

Mini Fox has been spending a lot of time in time out...she just stands there, not crying, not doing anything until you come get her...I don't think it's much of a punishment.

Watching some Frozen after naps.

Baby Fox NEVER does this. But he got himself all comfy as we were cleaning up dinner. Spending the night at my parents tires him out. He goes to bed late and gets up early...

And I don't think I took another pictures, but it was normal Sunday stuff, dinner, clean up, making lunches for Monday. It was a good weekend at home with the family.

How was your weekend?

Style Bloggers - April Showers (Rain Gear) Bring May Flowers (Floral Trends)

The Style Bloggers are back for another link up series, same people, different topics. Today our first topic is April Showers, Bring May Flowers, I didn't come up with it, but super clever right?

We don't get much rain here, so I thought I would find things that I would want, if we did get rain.

This pink rain coat, I saw it in the store and it's about the cutest thing I ever saw. If it rained here and I had that much money to blow on a rain coat when I would use it...maybe twice a year, I'd be all over this. Trina Turk in Manhattan Beach. I did however buy a super cute workout top, looking forward to having one more thing in rotation, you know so that the three other tops I have get a break.

How cute is this rain coat? I just saw it while browsing through the sale items, trying to see if I could find the workout top I bought. It covers the April showers and May Flowers all in one piece.

And what's rain coats without some rain boots, found here and here.

Now that I found the perfect April Shower and May Flower pieces, why not find some cute stuff to go with it. I thought the pink coat and the flower boots, perfect combination. Add some white jeans a striped shirt, perfect for a Spring outing.

Rain Coat Outfit

I just love this jacket, it's colorful and just makes you happy. For this outfit I thought I would make it a little more sophisticated and go with some black jeans, white button up and a colorful statement necklace.

Floral Spring Outfit

And the last outfit, the polka dotted rain boots, who doesn't love a good polka dot. I found the pants and that top and loved both, but thought, it's a little on the dark side, so I added the light pink jacket and some cute earrings to give it that Spring feel. Oh how I wish it rained here...or got cold for that matter. It was 93° here today (Thursday)...and supposed to 90° tomorrow (Friday).  Oh Winter and Spring, where did you go? I'm not ready for full blown Summer yet.

Spring Floral Outfit

What April Shower (Rain Gear) or May Flowers (Floral Trends) would you pick?

Go check out some of the other ladies and see their interpretation of this prompt is.
