Long Weekends are the BEST!

Happy Day after a long weekend. Mine went by way too fast! But at the same time I felt like I got a lot of time at home with my family. Did that make sense?

Anyway, Friday I went to a new (to me) workout class. I somehow injured myself, I have no idea how I did it, but I look down while on the rowing machine and I had a bloody knee. Don't worry, my Mommy cleaned me all up.

My parents watched Mini Fox while I was at the gym, she loves her magazines.

Mr. picked up his his mom from the airport and we headed out to get some dinner. I didn't take any pictures inside, just as we were leaving. Everyone smiling...I'll take it!

Baby Fox fell at school and scratched his nose

Saturday, I got up and went on my usual Saturday morning hike. First view of the ocean, only half way to the top.

Mostly at the top

Looking in the other direction. I just loved how the sun was beaming down below. Pretty good, considering this is an iPhone shot.

This little guy is all ready for football season. Any ND fans out there?

Helping Daddy make him his Green Eggs and Ham for breakfast.

We pretty much just hung out most of the morning, I went to the grocery store while MIL and Mr. took the kids to the park. Yep those are her jammies, she didn't want to take them off.

Saturday evening we had MIL's sister over for dinner, Carnitas, yum!

Trying to use my selfie stick...can't get everyone in there...so hard! Here's one with Mini Fox in it.

And then another one where Baby Fox got in...can't have it both ways I guess, perhaps we need a smaller table?

For dessert, MIL's sister brought over some cake. The kids LOVED IT!

The only problem? The caffeine in the chocolate, kept both kids up till 11pm! Oops...

Sunday, MIL had to go home (insert sad face), so the kids and I watched Tinkerbell and the Neverbeast.

I love how they are both sucking their fingers
Mini Fox could not be bothered with a picture, she was too into the show.

Blurry picture, but can you tell she was super concerned with what was happening? She kept saying, OH NO!

After all that, some yogurt to calm the nerves, LOL, just kidding. It was a cute movie though, on Netflix.

Sunday, swim lesson day. Here's a video of it...he did some side breathing for the first time, did pretty good if you ask me :) (not sure why it's so blurry when you watch it from here, but if you go to my YouTube channel, it's clear...hmmm??)

Baby Fox and I went to Costco after his nap, every kids needs a sword down his back in Costco, you just never know when you'll have to fight off bad guys right?

Monday Baby Fox and I headed to the gym, then when we got home, Mr. headed to the gym, so I took the kids to the park. Here's a picture of Baby Fox next to those flowers I posted on Friday, crazy how tall they are right?

Hanging out on the park bench.

Lunch time, when exactly did she get big enough to sit at the table?!

10 Raspberry fingers...oops, make that 9, he ate one before I could snap the picture.

Just a girl, her blankie and a tractor.

We went to my parents house for dinner, which I took pictures of, and then didn't have time to load them last night, darn. It was a nice way to end the long weekend. Now back to the grind, why can't every weekend be 4 days?

How was your long weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Momfessonal Favorite - Favorite Hair Products

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of those in the service who gave their lives fighting for our freedom, to do things like blog whenever we want to about whatever we want to.

Today I'm linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals for a little Favorite Hair Products. First I have to say I have the straightest hair you'll ever find. So I don't need all those fancy anti-frizzy hair products. And I don't color it...yet, those gray hairs, man, they are coming in fast! Here are my top favorites...of the moment, cause you know I'm a girl and it changes on the monthly.

My all time favorite shampoo and conditioner is Philosophy.

Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner

But I don't use this on the daily because of how expensive it is...it smells divine, and the bonus? The Amazing Grace shampoo is a shampoo/body wash. Double duty and it smells amazing. My hair is always so silky smooth after using these.

What I always use is TRESsemme Shampoo and Conditioner, and I also really like their heat protectant spray (far left bottle)

I also work in my favorite deep conditioner. Every 10 days or so.

When I'm washing my hair, I just recently started doing this:

I also, I can't find/remember the video that said this, but I stopped piling my hair on top of my head when I was washing it. I just leave my hair down, and rub the shampoo into my roots on top of my head and then lather it up and once it's really lathered I work it down into my hair ends. Then I do Dani's tip for conditioner, I feel like I lose way less hair doing these two tips in the shower. (go to 2:11)

I also, stopped brushing my hair when it was wet, I felt like after the shower and my hair is wet, I would brush it and I would lose so much hair! I feel like I don't lose as much when I wait till it's complete dry. I also bought a bamboo brush based off of this gals recommendation and I love it! I bought  cheap one, and it seems to work really well, and I feel like it's making my hair a little more healthy and shiny. Go to (2 minutes), and doesn't she have gorgeous hair? Who wouldn't want to follow her hair care tips?

I think that's all I have for now. I don't have a favorite hair spray or moose since I rarely use those things. Currently I use Sexy Hair Spray and it seems to do the trick, but I use it, maybe 3 times a year? Should I be using it more? What are your hair care tips and secrets?

Also, at what point did you start dying your hair because of the grays? I want to try and avoid it for as long as possible, because well the up keep is just daunting. Thoughts?

Happy Long Weekend!

Happy long weekend! I got today off, so I get a 4 day weekend, woo hoo! Here are some of my favorite things this week.

He's totally getting into coloring and drawing. It's so awesome for him to sit there for 30 minutes just coloring away. Mini Fox just wants to do what he does, so she'll also sit there for 30 minutes.

He was so proud that he wrote his whole name, he wouldn't go to bed without writing it out for us. He's so smart!

Last named blurred out, but he did write our last name too

Clearly Mini Fox was in a weird position. Oh well!

Blurry, but the kids wanted to be animals and get Mama. It was adorable.

Then she wanted to wear the Fox costume.

Reason she's crying? Her brother wasn't home when she got up from her nap. She was devastated.

We bought the flowers as blubs from Costco. We didn't realize how big (they are up to my hip!) they were going to be, but they sure are pretty. There are lots more flowers starting to bloom, going to be so pretty when they are full bloom all at once!

Hope you all have a great three day weekend! Just wanted to remind you to enter the giveaway I'm in for $400 gift card to Nordstrom. Click here for the original post.

TBT - Fox Kids Edition

I have been looking at old photos of the kids, so I thought this would be a great time to do a TBT to the kids. I can't believe how big they are getting!

Just before heading to the hospital, needed to get that shower in.

Horrible picture, but this is the last one I got before heading to the hospital, 2.5 hours after this picture was taken we had a baby!

Completely different experience with Mini Fox, she loved it the first time. - Peas, still one of her favorites.

Case in point, this picture was taken last week.

My First Pair of Camo's and Vlog

I finally got a pair of camo. I wasn't on board with the camo jeans until I kept seeing all the ladies from the style challenge wear them, and I just had to get in on the fun. But by the time I was on board it seemed like EVERYWHERE was sold out. I finally found them here. I was hesitant at first, but so glad that I just bit the bullet and went for it. They fit perfect! Well minus the length, but I have that problem with every pair of jeans.

That untucked part that looks while on my right hip, driving me crazy, sometimes I wonder, when Mr. was taking my photo, didn't he notice how funny it looked? Oh well, you get the idea. I love, love, love this shirt, it's so comfy. I want it in every color...if I could only remember where I got it...

Funny how just before taking these photos, I really caked on the make-up. I darkened my eyeshadow a bunch and brightened up the cheeks, yet you can barely tell I'm wearing make-up. Funny how that works. I do however LOVE my lipstick. I just got it, it's the Maybelline Buffs collection in the color Untainted (#950). I think it's the perfect everyday color for me.

Onto some randoms: Okay really just one random.

Did you know I have a youtube channel? I just think it's so cool when I see daily vloggers and how cool it must be for them to look back on certain days and not just look at pictures (like me) but actually see what they were doing, and watch a video of it. I'm sure I'll love looking back at my kids when they just started talking and see what it was like, instead of just looking at a picture. So I'm going to try and take more videos of my kids and then post it here for you to see. Keeps me accountable, cause I have SO many videos and I do nothing with them. So this is me trying to do something with it. If you subscribe to my channel, that's part of an entry to my giveaway, so go ahead and do both! $400 to Nordstrom, great way to get your summer wardrobe!

I tried to do a whole weekend worth of vlog to make one long video, but my software had other plans for me. So I had to break it up by day. I just keep fighting with the software, frustrating, but it's something I really want to do...so here are the first two days. By the time I figure this out, I'll be a month behind, LOL.

I'll eventually get the hang of it...so they might come at you sooner, instead of 3 weeks later, LOL.

Until then happy Hump Day!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Momfessional Moment

It's another Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea, today's topic - Momfessions (you know confessions we do as a mom), clever Andrea, Clever. I don't know if this word was out there before you coined it, but I'm going to go ahead and give you full credit. Here was go:

Snacks Time
My kids will not eat those stupid gold fish/cheddar bunny crackers. I just want them to eat some snack food that I can throw at them, when we are out and about and they're whining that they want food. I keep buying them, and they keep not eating them.

Dinner Time
While we're on the food subject I give them the same dinner over and over again because I know they like it, and most nights I don't have time to make them some elaborate dinner. So most nights they either get pasta or chicken nuggets and some frozen veggie.

Nap Time
Mini Fox really does need a morning nap and a late afternoon nap, but if I did that then they kids would be tag teaming me on the nap time. So I keep up Mini Fox, most days she gets super cranky, but I do it so that both kids will take a nap at the same time. On those days that I don't have to work, sometimes I'll keep them up super late, so that by the time they wake up Mr. is home from work.

Computer Time
Sometimes when I'm "cooking" dinner, I'll really be on the computer doing something else, and half the time I overcook/burn whatever it is I am cooking, oops!

Bath Time
I usually take a shower/bath at the same times as the kids, 1) because it kills two birds with one stone and I don't have to use the hour I have after they go to bed, taking a shower and 2)I'll take just a little longer so that Mr. has to dress Mini Fox, and I tell Baby Fox it's a race with Mini Fox to get dressed, so they run off to race to get dressed and then I have 2 minutes of peace to do my after shower routine.

Car Time
I don't like kid music, I always hear all these parents say we have Disney music on repeat in the car. So I've never EVER put it on in the car, they listen to what I listen to because I don't want to hear Let it Go on repeat.

TV Time
I would rather watch Tangled, Frozen, Little Mermaid on repeat then watch one minute of Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles. Any time Baby Fox wants to watch those things, I tell him he has to chose something that Mini Fox will like too and she doesn't like those shows, which is semi true. She has the attention span of about 2 minutes when watching those shows and about 10 minutes when watching a princess show.

School Time
I take a picture of Baby Fox's school work hang it up on a wall for a few days and then toss it. I feel like I should feel guilty, but no one has time for all that paperwork. My intention is to make a book with the artwork/school work, but who knows if that will actually happen.

I think that's all I have for you today. What are your "Momfessions"? Please tell me I'm not alone.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway! $400 to Nordstrom, what could be better?!
